#as a final fantasy fan and someone who actually doesn't play a lot of sports#blitzball#it has extensive but relatively easy to follow rules it's based on actual sports you can float it has a fair win/lose condition#also it doesn't rely on you grabbing a golden object that grants you millions of points to beat the team#oh yeah AND did i forget to mention that blitzball is in every single way a part of ffx's narrative#otherwise blitzball wouldn't be nearly as important for the entire game as it is#you can also recruit other team members if you wanted to while you're on your journey after the main first match if you wanted to!#what is the point of quidditch? to continue a chosen one narrative that's stupid. what is the point of blitzball?
