I'm just really glad I grew out my 2005, 2009, 2010 and 2022 zero-fade undercuts well before PB trending hit barbers and salons
#guess i definitely won't be getting that cut again any time short of turning 50#lollllllll#i do look hot in it courtesy of facial proportions and skull shape but only to certain types of butches and very specific types of men#and to hairdressers i suppose because it was a huge thing they all wanted to do to me when i was still hair/modelling in my 20s/early 30s#tbh my favourite was actually the samurai style undercut#shave off back and sides and do the long hair topknot. just delectable#arthur's hair frequently reminds me of the samurai style undercut he just needs a bit more length to topknot it#tommy's hair is 100% 2009 genderqueer!lesbian!bandmember subculture to me so it did bewilder me as a non-PB watcher in 2013-2015 when men-#-ostensibly straight men suddenly started wearing that cut everywhere. but that's subculture i suppose#ie.there is every reason why a g!queer subculture *would* appropriate the cut from 1910s-1920s soldier/working class trends#the oddity is that it was re-appropriated by the 2013-2016 het mainstream XD#this concludes my poorly informed haircut subcuture essay#cut short so to speak
