Hi! I loved iasb but I’m kinda confused about the end. If yn was in on it the whole time, why was she acting so shocked and upset about the deaths even when she was alone? Like even her thoughts that no one could hear? And why, in the scene where Hyunjin and her are in her room alone, why is she talking to him like she doesn’t know he’s the killer? it honestly was mainly to keep her involvement a surprise twist. and i suppose in a way, she knew certain people were being killed - but she wasn't aware of how extensive the list was. so like, yeji was never supposed to be affected the way she was because killing yeji's roommates was never part of her plan. nor was jinyoung's death. deep down i kind of wrote it in a way that she never wanted jisung's death either.

she was also completely out of the loop in the timeline of when each murder would all happen, and how everyone would be murdered too (so like, how brutal it would be, or how painful/drawn out it would be)

with hyunjin, it was more a safety barrier. she wanted to keep herself distanced from it in an act of self-preservation, so if it all went wrong she couldn't be connected. and also if anyone suspected hyunjin, they wouldn't except her involvement in it.

y/n is supposed to be a sociopath, a bit psychotic and deeply disturbed, so no one ever can truly understand her actions, thoughts or decisions

y/n also has a lot of confusing character depth im going to go into in some of the bonus chapters which should also help answer your question, but i hope this helped a little bit!
