the campaign vox machina people were right That "do i look like i come from money" conversation can Hit different
#yeahhh like in the campaign it's vex rly opening up to percy for the first time and in tlovm it's her trying to make sure her guard is up#and she only opens up later in the episode after the titling scene/standing up to her dad for the first time#but both moments have th element of percy realizing a bit of vex's insecurities and wanting to stand up for her#the main difference i think is that campaign perc'ahlia is v slow burn and those iconic moments are like. landmarks#whereas in the show these landmarks are recontextualized to develop/deepen their dynamic in the first place#it hits different ! both are imo what works best for the medium! i think that is cool.#cr#cr1#may be biased seeing as i watched tlovm first but i am rly glad we have both and also that they#aren't trying to adapt 1:1. instead they lean into what's best for the shorter-form story#ive seen ppl criticize vex for being too 'cold' in tlovm or w/e but like Personally.. i love her so much for that#the front she puts up for other ppl is sooo clear to the audience while being a believable emotional barrier between her and her friends
