A slightly weird question but you are the leading male omega obstetrician so I shall ask! Obviously within the undercity there's a lacking of resources, food included. Do you think Silco ever had any issues producing milk for his pups, especially Viktor when him and Vander were just starting out.
I think he definitively did with Viktor but I don't think they were actually aware of it. But it is definitively another item on the list of reasons for Viktor's health issues in this verse. And probably another part of why he was considered a fussy, unsettled, sickly baby.
Where they are living lack of resources including food is something that is affecting basically everyone around them as well. And Viktor is still growing (slowly and he likely isn't meeting the developmental weight milestones he should be but he is still growing) so there's nothing setting off warning bells that something is dangerously wrong (at least until they realise his knee is bad and even that at first is just... he has a bad knee). And I don't think it's to the point where they would even think about needing to substitute with something else.
To them he's just a particularly small baby who tends to get hungry a lot.
It was actually probably with Claggor and Mylo that they did realise that Viktor probably hadn't been getting enough. Because by that point they're established enough where Silco is getting enough food to have the more needed milk production (he's still definitively not someone who is overproducing and Claggor is weaned when Mylo is born out of necessity but he's more in the realm of what you would want). And it's after seeing Claggor and Mylo hit those developmental milestones earlier and easier that they realise that Viktor hadn't. And while I definitively think they can connect the fact that there wasn't really enough food to go around as part of the reason why there's also the other environmental factors (unclear air, dirty water with access to not as good filtration technology, etc) that they'are aware of and fuels Silco's rage at Piltover.
