@exene okay I just finished and this was actually kind of amazing I didn't see that coming at all. The is that all there is scene was like a turning point where I was like depending on how this plays out I'll end up hating this entirely or end up being down for whatever happens the rest of the movie and the latter ended up being the case lmao. I prefer this one's beat poetry meets loony toons register to spring breakers too honestly...that fucking martin lawrence character alone tbh like he was hysterically good and somehow the relationship between moondog and snoop dogg's character ended up coming off as sort of poignant which doesn't quite make sense but it did lol also this made me want Richard linklater to cast McConaughey and owen wilson as part of the cast of austin dude thousands in a follow up to slacker like this needs to happen

I watched like the first half hour of the harmony korine movie from a couple years back with Matthew McConaughey basically doing an impression of Owen Wilson in Inherent Vice the whole time the movie in general is like kidz bop pitbull song remix of inherent vice actually which I guess is a thing to go for...McConaughey reads a richard brautigan poem in like the second scene which...sure. ig. Actually the choice of poem was kinda perfect lmao but still I don't know if they earned it even in a self-mocking way certainly not in a sincere way...isla fischer is his wife and snoop dogg is the third lead idk if I should pick back up maybe it ends up accomplishing whatever it thinks it is as it goes on
