How to Install Applications with the Cydia Impactor
Many iOS users prefer to jailbreak their iPhones and iPads as it allows them unlimited access to their devices which means that they would be able to install third party applications and personalize the device to their heart’s content. However, Jay Freeman discovered another way to install third party applications without jailbreaking one’s device through his Cydia Impactor software. However, as some may be unaware on the steps that are involved in such a procedure, the following article will attempt to enlighten its readers. The user’s first step should be to download the authentic Cydia Impactor software on to their desktop or laptop computer. Once, this software has been successfully downloaded onto one’s computer the following step that one should embark upon differs based on the user’s laptop or desktop. For instance, if one is in possession of a computer running on Windows then once the software has been downloaded they should proceed to extricate the data from the zip file it has been constrained in. However, if one owns a Mac computer they may have noticed that the software was downloaded on their computer as a DMG file. Therefore, to open such a file the user is merely required to double click it. Once, the file is launched the user should therefore proceed to relocate the Cydia Impactor icon into the folder named as the ‘Application Folder’. Once, it has been relocated the software will proceed to install itself. Once, the software has been installed on to the user’s computer their next step would be to download an IPA file. You may now be wondering about what these IPA files, well the premise of these files are simple because there are considered to be an installer file for applications. Thus, this means that one would be required to download an IPA file for every application the user is attempting to install onto their Apple device. One should therefore connect their Apple devices to their computer via the USB port only after the IPA file has been downloaded. Thereafter, one should proceed to launch the Impactor software and ensure that this software has recognized your Apple device by checking its drop down menu. Once, this step has been completed the user should then proceed to move the downloaded IPA file into the window of this software.
The user would then be prompted to enter their Apple log in details in order to confirm their actions. The Impactor software would then begin to download and install the application in question. Once, the download is complete the user should launch the ‘Settings’ application and navigate to the ‘General’ tab, the ‘Device Management’ tab and the ‘Apple ID’ tab. The user should then select the ‘Trust’ tab to inform the device that it should trust the recently installed application. With the help of this comprehensive guide one can now proceed to successfully install third party applications on to their device.
