the white australian mind is unreal. so determined to ignore the blatant sinophobia that is baked into our country's history, and aggravated by the 'china threat' narrative and american warmongering/pm's hunger for money and 'power'. so ignorant of the fact that OUR PRIME MINISTERS invented the most torturous and dehumanising system of offshore detention (which has since become the standard other racist countries base their own immigration policies upon). so angry that knowledge of indigenous history and the effects of colonialism upon aboriginal & torres strait islanders is just starting to be grudgingly acknowledged. this is a racist country. this is a deeply racist country. and no one should be attacked for saying that. fucking hell.
