Heres the thing anon, Lucien doesn't like or care for Elain and viceversa

So the problem here is not only Eluciens twisting canon ( like We Know Who) to convince themselves or anyone that "actually lucien does this and that for her, he is so kind and considerate and elain talked to him that one time!" which for me just read like a typical crackship and desperation to connect straws, not even a ship because with a potential couple there's ATLEAST a friendship, attraction or tension between them (like we've seen in any acotar couple) and guess what? Elucien have nothing of this sort, there's NOTHING there besides a mating bond elain doesn't want and lucien seems to distance himself of ( also a mating bond isn't a fucking relationship, people love to mix up those two)

Like im sorry anon but first of all i don't believe for a second your neutral in this situation, if you where you wouldn't have sending this message to an elriel lol, and there's legitimate reasons eluciens thinking that elain should "accept the bond" that she has said and show MANY times she doesn't give a fuck, is elulus not liking elain's decisions and therefore, her as a character.

Eluciens loveeee to romanticize the "Your my mate" and lucien covering with his cloak ( as if that isn't basic decency? The bar is on the damn floor) when 1. He's the one who helped to put her in that traumatic situation and i wouldn't blame elain distrusting him forever 2. Instead of be decent like rhys was with the mating bond, he screamed my mate while elain was in an horrifying position and also didn't even know him, like imagine a stranger in the streets screams to you "MY GIRLFRIEND" without even moving from where he is while your being robbed and oogled by men and your are clothes wet, to put an example. 3. But also sounds almost as unhinged as gwynriels romanticizing gwyn s/a scene and saying she kept the cloak they put on her as a reminder of azriel "saving her" ( he wasn't even the one who covered her and mor was there saving her and others too jfc)

Like the point is, if you has seen your elucien mutuals posting, then you know the legitimate reasons elriels or anyone else say they don't like elain. Is because they don't, plain and simple.

They love the version they create in their heads where she would be wherever lulu goes even to she hasn't even show interest for that man ONCE, is the same with gwynriels hating canon azriel because THEY KNOW he doesn't care for gwyn romantically or even platonic at all lol like yes maybe they aren't as bad as gwynriels but they are pretty close to be (the elulu fanart of elain being in a puppy play with lulu and he is stepping over her...)

Like sure soft x grumpy isn't your thing (elriel is wayyy more than just that but you would know right anon? :) your neutral after all) but then don't come and expect us to gave eluciens kudos just because they draw or talk of elain once in a while, when we have seen and read everything they have to say about her for years now, and nothing of it seems to be talking of her in a good light with the mate situation, they don't like the real elain at all so 🤷🏽‍♀️

eluciens don’t hate elain they just don’t like azriel as much. Elriels always say they’re excited to see a non girlboss heroine and eluciens are too - but we’re also excited to see a relationship that isn’t so “sweet girl x dark broody man” that kind of ship is stale and elucien is much more unique in the genre. I’m more neutral in the ship war and I definitely see elriel happening, but I have a lot of elucien mutuals and friends on here and they all love elain and their blogs are really dedicated to her, and I don’t like people saying eluciens hate elain when they just don’t. You’re confusing eluciens with the Gwynriels who went rabid because they don’t want elain with their soft boy azriel. That’s not actual eluciens

Eluciens like Lucien. And think that Elain is his property because of the bond and therefore, must 'give him a chance' and should accept the bond, so he doesn't suffer, doesn't go crazy, and doesn't hurt forever if she rejects him.

Never have I ever seen anyone say that Elain's feeling should be considered. That her being silent, not giving him attention or promises, and losing her newfound boldness around him is enough. That a woman isn't obligated to talk to a man and explain herself and explain why she isn't interested. A woman isn't obligated to let a man down 'gently'. A woman doesn't have to submit to courting simply because a man wants her to.

If people wholeheartedly state that Mor doesn't owe Azriel an explanation for 500 years, that she has no obligation to tell him anything including a simple 'I am not interested', then why is Elain obligated to do that for Lucien? She is not interested in the bond, didn't ask for it, and is attracted to another man. That's it. Lucien doesn't get an explanation, because he is Lucien. Does Lucien come to Elain and explain to her why he is living with Vassa? Has Lucien, who is hundreds of years older than Elain and is a born Fae, not a 2 year old Fae, propose that they sit down and chat? No, he is playing the avoidance game just as much as Elain. Yet that's totally fine for him, but she is a 'bitch'.

Not violently hating Elain and wanting her to get r*ped and decapitated like Gwynriels wish, is not the same as 'liking' Elain.
