this post pisses me off so badly bc OP where the FUCK did you get those colors from???

comparing the actual colors picked from the example images (which yes are lovely on a color composition scale) they look so dark and desaturated which gives such a dead washed out vibe... there's no Balance!! where's the shade contrast!? they all blend together and end up looking more like muddy browns than anything else!

the pallets on the right are all directly color picked from the images and are so much brighter and interesting to look at!! what the fuck even happened to the poor yellow for the boy colors?? WHY IS IT OLIVE?!?! and where did the ultramarine blue come from?? the girl colors are slightly better just because red and green are complimentary so they're going to look good together no matter how weirdly desaturated...

i cannot handle the color theory slander because those pallets ARE FUCKING UGLY!! AND DO NOT ALIGN WITH COLOR THEORY!! anyways heres my personal version of boy and girl colors that were also color picked from the example images just to prove that there are good pallets that do use these colors just not those exact shades or tones
