I can't believe i'm still complaining about the plot holes in Chicken Run 2 LMFAOOOO but I was reminded of a remark that my animation circle friend made back in February, when we binge-watched both CR movies

Why the hell does Funland Farms need a bigass amusement park for the mind-controlled chickens?? Shouldn't the collars already do the job and give the chickens endless happiness? So why do they need carousels and whatnot to entertain the birds??? Amusement park attractions that probably cost several thousands of pounds to buy? I'm not buying the "Dr. Fry invested on them" thing because while it does sound like a Fry thing to do, Melisha would NOT want him to waste company money on trivial things like that LMAO

I feel like it would have been a much scarier plot twist (and a way more effective commentary on unethical factory farming), if the amusement park was only what the collar-holding chickens are seeing. When in reality it's all a Matrix-like illusion caused by the chemicals in the collar, and the chickens are all just sitting in dirty, tight dark cages while sporting their empty brainwashed smiles. Especially since the sequel clearly wanted to go for a Brave New World/1984 esque 60s dystopia feel, when the original movie was a spoof of WW2 movies.
