fully romantic incest bros kissing and riding off into the sunset isn't something i'd REMOTELY trust the show with, or even necessarily want onscreen - way better off, IMO, as the domain of internet weirdos' infinitely varied fever dreams. hell, most of my romance-adjacent itches were amply scratched by the show's many twists and turns of unhinged quasi-platonic devotion. HOWEVER. i do think later showrunners were cowards for backing off from the deranged early-seasons erotic vibes instead of seeing how far they could push that envelope. make the actors kiss with tongue on some plot-device technicality, goddammit! truly an insult to the legacy of 1x06 skin, 2x11 playthings, 4x14 sex & violence, etc to be airing in the Game of Thrones TV Era™ and NOT come up with a single dubious pretext for the Brothers Winchester to trip and fall onto each other's dicks.

so i guess my final answer is "keep the Gencest Platonic Brother-Marriage endgame we got, but if i got a free wish about it i'd sprinkle in some overtly sexual weirdcest now and then for kicks." not sexual as in They're Fucking (ongoing) but sexual as in They've Fucked (rituals got too intricate), with room for ambiguity about motives / the role of plot ~Reasons in nudging the latent eroticism into physical action. like idk that i'd want them banging on the regular in canon? but i do think the show 100% would've been improved by coming up with a few bizarro one-off ways to Go There - if only for the pure chaos it would've unleashed on the internet.
