I do sometimes ponder what mq's asceticism does to him. I think it really has very little to do at this point with his cultivation I think he's an old enough powerful enough god that it won't kill him and it won't even phase him much to break it BUT he sticks to it anyway bc 1) habit 2) he's not attracted to women at all 3) even if he's attracted to men sexually his desires are so fine-tuned and specific that functionally the juice is not worth the squeeze 4) he thinks it's "vulgar" 5) you think he'd give up even an inch of any advantage for no good reason such as "because it might make him happy"???? get a grip. no not on his c- 6) control of his own body and agency is extremely important for him 7) oh the Shame of want 8) as mentioned in another post he thinks everything is about domination which can be a sign of projection or neuroticism 9) who would he give it up to / do it with? would that person even understand the weight and magnitude of that decision? the willing admission of vulnerability? 10) he'll never lose his virginity bc he never loses period [said guy who loses like 50% of his battles]
