and i think it's also worth noting, underlining, that carmine is an extremely manipulative individual and clearly likes to be the one in control of the room -- we see it in the scene with him and sofia, he's not subtle about it. especially given their parallels, i'm willing to bet carmine could just as easily manipulate oz (and i'd also bet that's a pretty significant reason why carmine kept him around. he probably knew that The Family had no problem stepping on each other and saw this as a potential threat, and also knew that oz was always going to be loyal to him first so long as carmine made him feel important enough.)(and to his credit, carmine was absolutely right about that.) i'm not saying oz didn't put sofia in an awful situation, but i do find it hard to believe that he -- sofia's driver -- was the one leading that discussion. though i wouldn't be surprised if carmine made him think that he was.

it's equal parts Delicious and Frustrating to me that we don't have a flashback of the conversation between oz and carmine abt sofia. we're supposed to assume that oz was fully a rat, but we don't know what was said, we don't know what carmine said. no objective eyes, no real survivors of that conversation because who oz was 10 years ago certainly isn't who he is now -- especially if he's being honest about not thinking that carmine would do something like that. current oz would know carmine was capable of it (and current oz would play those cards) but i do believe that oz ten years ago, who had one suit and wasn't allowed inside, wouldn't think so.
