eu copyright directive

i can't reblog the original post for whatever reason but i saw it on my dash today so i thought i'd explain a few things

this post:

all of this is late, the months refer to june-july of 2018. the final vote was held in march 2019 and the directive was passed.

what is happening now is the countries have a 2 year time window to implement content filter laws at national level and since it's a directive they have some creative freedom to how and to what extent to do that. don't contact your eu representatives, contact your parliament. they're the ones that decide what gets to happen now.

at least in poland there's parliament elections this autumn so if you want to contact your politicians and/or protest the best time would be now. if you pressure them into promising a fair or smaller scale of impact filter law before the elections, there's a chance you'll actually get it.

on may 20th edri and 41 other organizations sent an open letter to the european commission asking for inclusion of civil society during implementing of the copyright law so if that bears some fruit we'll hear about that, so far the situation is stated as above though.

contact your politicians, make sure your friends and family are informed on the current situation, check who voted for the directive during the final vote and don't vote for them in the upcoming autumn elections. try to google this once in a while if you don't watch news so you have current information that's not from tumblr posts floating around (because those often get outdated before they blow up)

also if you're from one of those countries that had most members of the eu parliament vote for passing of the directive i'm sorry but get a decent vpn

Yep, the worst is DEFINITELY behind you now!! It’s just like the physical recovery I went through; it’s been slow and frustrating at times, but as bad as it may be, two weeks ago it was ten times worse, and a month ago it was a million times worse, and so on. Except yours was worse, because you were dealing with some heavy emotional stuff; taking care of the body is easy  because it’s tangible, but the mind sure requres a lot of effort to takecare of...

So know that I’m proud, buddy. You’ve been making it through amazingly. And you’ve already made it out of the worst. After you defeated a level 99 boss, the level 50 may be a challenge, but one that you already know you can defeat, and that you WILL win. Keep on keeping on as you’re doing, buddy. I’m super proud of you, and so happy that everything is improving.

Oooooooooooooh! It’s SO AWESOME that you and your cousin share such tastes for games!! :D You two must have a blast when you’re together, and even just talking about that stuff. That’s so awesome!

Yes, I’ve heard D: BH has LOADS and loads of feels! Even I have had the feels just by seeing some of the stuff I see here, ahaha. And sadly I already got spoiled some tragedies and some other stuff, which makes me both want to play it, and also makes me scared of how emotional I’ll get XD

But it’s GREAT to know you two had fun! Feeling is always good, and doing it with a companion that shares the interest into it, I bet it makes the experience even ebtter, huh? You have someone to talk about it with, and even better, someone to FEEL about it with! So glad that you two got to play it together :)

I LOVE CONNOR BABY BOY, he touches some fragile hearstrings inside me and I don’t know why!!! Maybe it’s this idea of a new creature discovering the world and experiecing the “little” things. I know he’s a badass cop, but something about him just...experimenting feelings and such, it touches deep in my heart. He has such... eyes. I don’t even know the word to describe them. They have life and some sort of purity in them. It’s such an innocent, pure gaze... :)

Oh, I’ve seen some stuff on Bryan Dechart too! First time I saw him was ina set of gifs of him cosplaying Connor, and as I had no idea who that was I was like “WELL WOW /OKAY/ THAT IS ONE FASCINATING, PERFECT COSPLAY HOW DID HE DO THAT”, then Iknew, hahaha!! And more recently I’ve seen some stuff on him that does make him seem like such a sweetheart. He has a precious smile. And just looking at him makes you feel safe! Like he’s such an open minded and joyful creature with one of the biggest hearts in this world. He’s one fascinating, interesting, and wonderful creature, that I’ve seen so far, and I haven’t even ever heard his voice, haha!

Sadly, I do have had lots of things spoiled, but it’s okay! I don’t think I’ll get the chance to play it in a very long time. I don’t have any ways to make money of my own, and I don’t want to ask money from my parents after my surgery (unless it’s for school or such, but I still have enough of my own to cover for that as for now), and I’m currently saving up for Kingdom Hearts 1.5 & 2.5, and hopefully for 2.8 too :)  I’ve always, always wanted to play those games, but back in the days I didn’t have the money, and later on I didn’t have the console.

Right now I don’t have the money, hahahaha!!! But I will, you’ll see, sooner than I expect. I hope I can play them before the release of KH3, even though I’ll surely have to wait for that too; I’ll surely not be able to afford for the release price so I’ll have to wait some months as it lowers. Maybe in the meanwhle, the price of D:BH must have dropped so I can grab it! Who knows. Though I do admit I’m sort of scared; after FFXV, I’ve become overly sensitive to sad stories ahahahah :’D   I mean I know it endswell (if you choose well), but there’s still tragedies in the way and aklsjdlskdfjsfd. My poor mistreated raccoonie heart 3
