So the stray returned a few times since then and one of those times, Prince tried to communicate with it with weird sounding meows and it hissed at him in response. The thing is Prince doesn't hiss so he doesnt hiss back he just keep making different sounding meows from the ones he uses with us.

And then since we've been leaving food for it, other cats have been making appearances in the early morning which has lead me to the conclusion that Prince isnt in a romcom.

Instead, it's actually us, his owners, who are in Neko Atsume

I think my cat's in a 'Ah, It's a Wonderful Cat Life' situation bc there's a stray cat that keeps coming to visit my cat while he looks out the glass door

#im sorry prince but that stray is using you to get to us for food it doesnt want to be your friend #or maybe you're trying to fend it off but you dont hiss so the message isnt getting across #we have a feeling that before we adopted him he was raised around dogs bc some things he does feel more like dog behavior than cat #like hes attempted to bark at dogs before he doesn't hiss like hes still a cat but some of his mannerisms feel more dog at times #but also he's so used to being around humans that i dont think he knows how to talk to cats who dont know humans #the other cats that come by have had staring contests with Prince and mom said with one of them it seemed like Prince was upset #they're still gonna leave food but at the bottom of the stairs instead of in front of the door #i think you're not supposed to feed strays but im not in a position where i can tell them that. plus theyll ignore me #tho while prince has been bullied by these cats he still stays up all night waiting for them bc hes so tired in the day #tho that can also be bc he's a nocturnal animal #but i think he finds the cats that come by a least a little interesting. maybe #anyway i told mom we're in neko atsume and explained to her what it is‚ a cat collecting game where you leave out toys and food in the yard #and she said 'yea this is my life now but im drawing the line at giving them toys. they're just getting food and that's it'#prince's cat tag
