assorted rambling gomens thoughts but i'm so glad s2 ended Like That. i mean like yeah my heart aches and I wanna shake Neil Gaiman's shoulders yes but i'm so glad that we're unpacking azi's trauma now. I was expecting for him and crowley to have Talked About It off-screen in the five or six year interval since s1, but this is so much better, bc now we get to see him do the hard work of building himself back up and realize that everything he'd ever wanted was right there. s1 wasn't really about them like s2 is, and the ending is proof that this really is their love story.

it's like the dinner party!! everything was just Off. it was too good, too light, too sweet--everyone saying what aziraphale thought was the right thing to say while the world literally crumbled around him. and of course crowley was the one to try and snap him out of it, to understand first what was wrong and try to get him to see. crowley has willingly walked into heaven twice now after Falling and not once has he wanted to stay, bc like gabriel and beelzebub said (btw i can't fucking BELIEVE my favorite fic trope for them is canon now wtf this season was INSANE) real heaven (or hell haha) is w/ his angel. like what in the goddamn.
