The target language for level 4 this month is "[Person] is from [prefecture]. [Prefecture] is famous for [...]" and the DVD features Yamagata and mentions it's famous for cherries. Which I thought the kids would be pretty excited about given we're in Yamagata, but my class on Friday this kid get SO upset that it was cherries and not a specific type of pear and he complained about it the whole lesson and I'm like ???? bro I didn't write the DVD, take it up with the curriculum department lol
