You know, Kisaki probably genuinely loved Hinata at least at one point. But as his obsession progressed it became less about impressing her and more about showing her how far he's come. Bc I feel like the reason Kisaki latched onto her so hard is bc she was the only one who would look his way.

It's a sort of dark twist on Takemichi's character. Both were kinda losers in different degrees but were recognized by Hinata. And while takemichi learned to love the viewer (at least in his good timeline) Kisaki instead fell in love with the act of being viewed.

This makes me think of the song "Don't you want me Baby" by The Human Leauge. Cause in it, the male singer talks about how /he/ helped the female singer become famous /he/ would be more than happy to take it away from her should she break things off with him.

Also the lyrics "When I hear that you won't see me // Don't // Don't you want me? // You know I don't believe you // When you say that you don't need me // It's much too late to find // You think you've changed your mind // You'd better change it back, or we will both be sorry" vividly reminds me of the proposal scene.

And meanwhile the female singer is grateful to the male singer for helping her, she saw him as an equal/colleague rather than someone she should adore. "The five years we have had// Have been such good times // I still love you // But now I think it's time // I lived my life on my own // I guess it's just what I must do" and laments how they now must part.

So both singers lament about not being wanted in the way they thought the other wanted them. And while Hinata wasn't that close w kisaki I think if they were it would play out in a similar way. I only mentioned a few lyrics but if you listen to the whole song it's eerily similar to Kisaki and Hinata's dynamic.

hi hey hello!! there is so much hankisa brainrot in my head so you get some bc idk where else to put it and i need to talk abt it okay

i keep thinking abt the bad toman timeline(s) (mostly the one at the end of the anime, but also the other ones before that) and like. at this point i’ve established that hankisa are fwbs and hanma is in love. he thinks that kisaki doesn’t love him back but he’s wrong, kisaki just can’t admit to himself that he doesn’t love hina anymore and his fixation on her & takemichi doesn’t have a reason now. and he’d also never ever admit anything, especially not before hanma, and hanma never says anything in fear of kisaki disliking him after he does so (even though he’s known for years but hanma doesn’t know that he knows 😭)

anyways point is one day kisaki has a near-death experience and when he’s finally alone with hanma they cuddle a bit bc both need to cope with the shock. hanma randomly blurts out ,,i love you’’ and kisaki just nods. they ignore it. well later on hanma once again teasingly goes ,,you really do love me, huh?’’ bc ik that he says that 24/7 just to annoy kisaki and instead of insisting that no, he doesn’t, kisaki keeps quiet. it throws hanma off so badly that he believes he just didn’t hear him so he says it again, this time looking at his face. there is a very faint smile on kisaki’s lips, and he still keeps quiet, not denying it.

i’m convinced that hanma doesn’t get more of a love confession in that timeline but he’s so happy he starts crying later when trying to fall asleep anyway because he knows kisaki enough to know that it’s his way of confessing his love and the fact that he loves him back is reason enough

he's not about to cut himself off from it, but being chief of staff and having so many responsibilities to bear when he just wants to live the peaceful lil married life of his dreams... it gets hard</3

so he retires!!! hehe he steps down and lets dean take over his roles for him. dean, shuji and i continue working with the gang, and he stays at home.

it takes him only a little while to get used to the househusband lifestyle, and it turns out he's really good at it! cooking, cleaning, sitting pretty and waiting for his partners to come home from work — that's kisaki's thing!

he cooks all our favourite meals for us, and has dinner and baths prepared for us by the time we get home. and he always asks, while collecting our coats and hate, “bath or dinner first?” and shuji is heading into the dining room before he can even finish his sentence 💀

dean and i like to shower first because we're sensible people, but sometimes the stress really gets to them (being chief of staff is hard!) and kisaki guesses which one they'd prefer to have first on those nights, and gently takes them into his arms and leads them to the bath/table. so romantic<33

once kisaki starts staying at home, the time we get to spend with him becomes limited — so movie nights and date nights become a norm. shuji, kisaki and i always have some mystery or thriller movie in mind for the night, but we're ALWAYS vetoed by dean. they want to cuddle up to us and watch weird obscure horror movies in the comfort of our presence, and we go along with it every time 😩

Do you think Chapter 166 is a parallel to chapter 73?, when Kisaki was about to shoot Takemichi, and Kisaki was disappointed at Takemichi's reaction. but now in 166, Takemichi has completely grown from that fear. he's stronger, and he can keep moving forward.

Ah I love the differences here, especially in Takemichi's reactions to being shot. He goes from screaming and crying (an understandable reaction tbf) to taunting Kisaki for not killing him. Takemichi really goes off here. It's also pretty cool how they both ask each other "what's wrong?" In the two different time lines, first with Kisaki getting annoyed by Takemichi's reaction and then Takemichi asking why he didn't kill him.

Also think it's funny how Kisaki gets agitated in both because of Takemichi's confusing behaviour but for very different reasons.

His movements are slovenly and dragged out, thick pad of Tetta’s thumb dragging across Row’s cheek. It meets the indent of their lips and the digit pushes in, pries open their mouth easily and makes home on the flat of their tongue.

“Suck.” Tetta commands. He rumbles happy when Row follows suit. “Good, dove.”
