🦋 Current obsession: Blonds Have More Fun Gimli/Legolas, Silent Hill AU

I've posted a few snippets of this in my #wip wednesdays tag. It should only have a few chapters left unless my muse decides to take the story in a very unexpected direction. Here's the summary:

After a failed kidnap attempt by a raving lunatic of a stranger, Legolas heads to Silent Hill in search of answers: what do these cultists want from him, and what's his family's mysterious connection to the town?

I'm really proud of this one so far. I tried a lot of new things, like including in-universe found footage. Writing fictional tape transcripts and coming up with the individual monsters was so much fun! I also got to deep-dive into Silent Hill lore and even expand on certain details and locations.

🦋 In which the plot is a thinly veiled excuse for lots of smut: Untitled undercover agents AU! Elwing/Eärendil/Fem!Maedhros/Fingon (in various configurations), Modern AU

Oh, no- the Nauglamír (and the Silmaril attached to it) has been stolen! It was last seen around a socialite's neck in an exclusive luxury swingers' resort... on the night when she was (allegedly) murdered. But don't worry about that- I'm sure it's just a rumor and no murder actually occurred!

Since Elwing is woefully single, she enlists her childhood best friend's help so that they can pose as a couple looking for a good time. Surely she can ignore her deeper feelings for Eärendil and keep things professional during this mission (spoiler alert: she really can't).

Elwing is determined to reclaim her family's most precious heirloom... and so is Maedhros. Since the thief is always one step ahead, they'll need to join forces to achieve their goal. And did I mention they're both really attracted to each other?

🦋 The "help- this was supposed to be a PWP but grew plot!": A new addition to the Beyond Yesterday series Thranduil/Maglor/Laergliriel, Re-embodiment and life in Valinor

Do you ever set out to write an accidental threesome that snowballs into over 30k words about dystopian reembodiment, the penal system in Valinor, and lots of reunited family fluff? No? Just me? OK then...

This specific fic has been rotating in my mind since I started working on All The Way From The Start. Although it isn't all rainbows and cupcakes (*slaps roof of fic* this bad boy can fit so much angst in it), its tone is much more hopeful compared to previous instalments. This is the first time I've ever written a multi-chapter poly romance, and I'm enjoying it a lot. I really didn't want to go in the typical love triangle direction, so the pining is mutual for everyone involved and there's a lot of surprisingly good, healthy communication.

I'm also having a lot of fun with Maedhros and Laergliriel's scenes because they're two ancient elves who were reborn a little over a century ago with all their "impure" memories gone... I really want them to sound so ancient and so young at the same time, and I hope I can pull it off successfully!

What was Auras reaction to Seb calling her ignorant?

AAAHHH this question is so fun, thank you for asking it! I've been thinking about my answer all day, so in my usual fashion I'm absolutely going to over-explain it because ✨Ravenclaw.✨

So lemme preface this by saying canon Aurélie was never part of the game events. She started Hogwarts in seventh year and thus had to deal with the consequences of Sebastian's quest line as they slowly but inevitably fell in love. In saying that, I have been dabbling on and off with a fifth year AU in which Sebaura reunite post-graduation after seven years apart, so I've given the IgNoRaNt thing a lot of thought.

To set the scene, here's a snippet of their dynamic in fifth year. (If you think their bickering is bad in Villain universe, they're insufferable in fifth year lolol).

[Sebastian's POV]

'Aura! For once in your life, stop being so dramatic!'

A month. A whole bloody month of chasing after, arguing with, and generally lamenting the existence of the most annoying girl to ever walk the face of the earth; one long, agonising month since she'd shown up at Hogwarts as the new fifth year, the new mystery, and completely derailed life as he'd known it. Not that his life had exactly been on track before her arrival, but if he was the out-of-control locomotive, then she was the broken track that had sent the whole bloody lot careening off the rails and into a ravine, explosions and all.

Needless to say, fifth year MC Aura [hates going on quests.] It's not that she doesn't want to help, it's just that li'l fifteen year old fancy-pants Frenchie hates trudging through the cold muddy Highlands, hates getting her nice shoes all dirty, and especially hates using her magic to blast Beasts into the ether (even if they are big scary spiders or killer Mongrels.) So when she relents to following Sebastian through some icky cave or up a freezing cold mountain in search of some weird relic or whatever, she lets him know in no uncertain terms that she is NOT happy about it. She'd probably even ignore him for weeks afterwards and he'd have to do some serious grovelling (ie bribery with new shoes) just to get her to look at him again.

But still, she does it for him because they're both orphans, they're both lonely, and they're both really leaning on eachother for support. Yes, she hates their "adventures", yes, she complains about it the entire time, but she does it for him. Every single time.

So when Sebastian calls her ignorant — when he crosses the line from light-hearted bickering to actually insulting her? She considers it a huge rejection. She followed him into danger time and time again, overlooked his red flags, even forgave him for the whole crucio thing only for him to personally insult her? Nah bro. Aura's certainly not afraid of letting him know when he's acting out of line, but up until that point, their disagreements had never gotten personal.

This is when everything starts to go south for their friendship, culminating with the Solomon incident and leading to their eventual seven-year split after graduation. When she's really hurt, Aurélie withdraws into herself so deeply that it's very hard to coax her out again. — And that's exactly what happens when he dun fucks up and calls her a nasty name.

NOT TO MENTION calling a Ravenclaw ignorant is like a mortal sin. Like, calling an average every day person ignorant is pretty mean, but a Ravenclaw?! Boy, pls. Sit down.

Currently I have a huge soft spot for Fictional!Matty! He's just so much fun to make miserable, and also project my own issues and insecurities onto 🙃 I have also had a lot of fun writing Matthew Tkachuk and Tyler Seguin in terms of Hockey RPF though - they are also messy (though less so as they've gotten older) and have been fun to make suffer 😊

To the shock of probably no one - I am counting angst and hurt / comfort as my favorite tropes to write!

🌻 How often do you read your own fics?

Not as often as I should since there are probably a lot of continuity errors lol I usually only go back if I am trying to remember if I mentioned a specific detail / which fic a detail was in or if I am stuck in a new chapter and want to read it all back together to make sure it is still flowing the way I want it to, and make sure the vibes are still vibing if you will 😊

🦋- As boring as it may sound I think Shinobu would want to have a normal future with you. When demons are gone and when she can marry you

🦋- She may be yandere but it mostly gets twisted when she's afraid you'll leave

🦋- It also depends on how you behave

🦋- She won't do anything and will plan a nice future for you both if you behave and actually return her love

🦋- If you don't behave however then it's a bad future she's planning

🦋- Her plan is to either drug you to your bed all day or she’ll punish you until you become obedient. She doesn’t wanna break you she just wanna prove that you loving her is better than the punishments you’ll receive

🦋- From there on she would continue treating you like that until you love her back

Jealousy: Do they get jealous? Do they lash out or find a way to cope?

🦋- Oh her jealousy is through the roof! 

🦋- She would try to ignore the feeling whenever she sees you talking to someone else that’s not her but her thoughts run wild until she can’t take it anymore

🦋- “What if they leave me?”   “Why do they not talk to me? Is there something I’ve done?”   “I can’t loose them. I can’t and I don’t want to!” those thoughts ran all over her mind as she stared at you having a conversation with some random person

🦋- She’s not good at coping so she lashes out. Either on you or the person

🦋- She would go to you with tears in her eyes as she asks you all those questions

🦋- “Don’t you love me anymore?”   “ Am I too much for you?” She would go as far to beg on her knees for you. This is mostly guilt tripping but her questions still holds genuine wondering. 

🦋- When you hug her and comfort her she’ll forget this happened or she would be happy that her plan worked 

🦋- The person she lashes out on will be someone outside the corps, someone in the corps that’s not well known at all or someone you’ve grown apart from long ago 

🦋- She’ll start off minor like a threat or passive agressive language against them but if they don’t get it the first time they’ll be sorry

🦋- Shinobu has no problem getting her hands bloody but she doesn’t kill often but when she does she's very careful. Poison is her way to go but if she thinks the person deserves some suffering then she’ll add that too. Maybe double the dose or beat them up before killing them 

🦋- Sometimes she just beat the shit out of the person or gets really cruel like making them unable to speak for the rest of their life. It’s a win win for her since it’s unlikely for them to be able to rat Shinobu out and you can’t communicate with them as easily 

🦋- Overall she’s horrible at coping with jealousy 

Love letters: How would they go about courting or approaching their darling?

🦋- I have a feeling she would be the type of person to go all out on her proposal to show you she really cares for you. She thinks that if she doesn’t put enough effort into the proposal you might think she doesn’t put enough effort in your relationship

🦋- She would make it as romantic as possible and however you like it 

🦋- You like wisteria trees? Boom her confession goes there. Fan of restaurant confessions? Then you bet she’s gonna take you there

AHHH I'm glad you liked it!! (And "winx club anon" that's so cute please 🥺)

Okay so, Red Fountain is so much fun!! It definitely depends on personal taste but I love martial arts and physically fighting so I loved Red. It's actually a lot stricter than people assume! Red has manners and diplomacy classes just like Alfea and they're actually more in depth to account for war diplomacy. The teachers are very strict (literally all of them) but that's just for our safety so it's not too bad. They have this room for flight training that's full of flight simulators which was sooo much fun (of course we had competitions for that). We also did monthly games! They had so many classes and training that were designed to help team bonding so we played things like capture the flag all the time (that one was intense holy shit make sure you wear the padding they give you for the game - the amount of times i got fucking BODIED For No Reason???)

Overall, training is really fun! There's a lot of technical stuff in your first three years (first year is the worst) but after that most of it is practical application. We have to take mandatory medical training for three years and then at least one boot camp a year to make sure you remember everything (and if you mess up at all, you have to take another class).

There are like... two-three phases(?) for teams! For your first three years, you can switch teams to find one that really matches you. They assign teams based on specialties and skills to ensure that everyone is well matched but sometimes people just don't get along (*cough* Riven). For the first couple of months, they won't let you switch so you can at least get to know them but after that, if you offer substantial evidence for why you should join another team they let you! BUT. After three years, you're no longer able to join another team unless there's a serious problem (like arguing getting in the way during missions). And during your fifth year, your team gets registered as an official team under the Specialist Registry (which is basically just a list of all the teams). Our fifth year was in season 4 so we got officially registered and going to Earth was our first mission as a registered team!!

As for the guys! Like I said before, they're all attractive 😌 Sky has this really insane duality actually. When he's all dressed up as a prince, he has this prince charming kind of vibe but he hates being dressed up so in our free time he dresses super comfortably and has more of a "boy next door/tiktok golden retriever boy" kinda vibe! Brandon is so hot, literally everything about him is super masculine and he has this "90s heartthrob" look. Timmy is super cute! But he had this major growth spurt in year four (so like season three ish) and he ended up looking very handsome. Riven of course is hot too. Definitely has that "bad boy" image but also sometimes he just looks like a punk. Helia is very beautiful! He has a masc-leaning androgynous look (we agreed that Brandon was the most handsome and Helia was the prettiest). Nabu was also really handsome! He has this like... soft dom (😳) handsome feel (another prince charming kind of guy).

The Trix are also really beautiful! But also really scary... I was actually surprised at how scary they were. At first, they seemed like regular school bullies but as they get older they seem crazier and crazier. Icy especially gets this crazed look in her eyes when she gets mad, especially when she's fighting Bloom. Like... they really aren't the kind of villains you want to mess with (despite us regularly kicking their asses, they always get back up, and most if not all of us have had nightmares about them).

Valtor was a lot scarier in person. The Winx had nightmares of him for years and Flora even had to go to sleep therapy for it. In the cartoon, he just looks like a gay goth aljhgdaljdg but in person, he's super charismatic and egotistic. He truly believed that he would take over the universe and kill anyone he wanted. That kind of confidence from that kind of person can be really terrifying. He literally acted like a bad guy from a horror movie. Just... ew.

Powers! It was actually easy for me to control my magic because I scripted that but, I can tell you that you do have to control it to a point. I hated Fate so there really wasn't a lot of inspo from there but the whole emotions affect your magic thing was spot on. It wasn't as serious as Fate but your emotions do affect your magic! Bloom is a really good example I feel? But anyway, fairy magic is based on positivity which can be really dangerous if you know... you don't feel happy or don't have any hope. Witch magic is based more on which emotion you feel the strongest! There's a big misconception that it's only negative emotions but really they just use whichever emotion they feel the strongest at that moment. So they can still use magic if they're sad or angry (it just might backfire or get out of their control).

Cloud Tower actually isn't scary to me? There were students who did get scared but I think that was mostly just from being near witches and dark magic. But honestly, I thought the school itself was really beautiful! It has this dark academia meets dark witch look so like... lots of candles and books and just super cute all around. ALSO the witches at Cloud consistently threw the best parties.

Using magic feels really natural! It's kind of just like... you think of what you want it to, sometimes say a spell to help direct it, then it happens. It can backfire or do something else but that usually means you have an issue with not believing in your magic!

Transforming was fun! On the outside, it happens in less than a second. There's a flash of light and then you're transformed! But when you actually transform, it feels a lot longer and you do see the actual transformation. You don't have to move or dance but it can help to boost your spirits!

And no they didn't look like that 😭 I scripted that they would look just like we do! Although! I will say their eyes are a lot.. brighter? Shinier? Not bigger but their eyes seem magical too in a weird way?

~ Yes,I've stayed for years. I think I've mentioned this before,but it feels very natural, that reality will be the "normal" for you,and your previous ones will feel more like a dream and memories of well,past.

~ It'll take me a minute or two to discern where I am and it's usually accompanied with me continuing the task thanks to cell memory. I usually have a headache or something of that sort if I return from a longer shift,and I tend to usually wake up in my bed.

~ I've never really bothered with the clone part because well we only shift timelines and I could easily just shift back to the reality I want instead of making my "clone" do xyz.

This is a roleplay blog. I make posts and interact with others as TJ, and also include aesthetic posts as if TJ was running this blog. I do this for fun, so please leave the drama and hate at the door.

About TJ

The events of this blog take place after the events of Political Animals

As such, I write TJ as having moved away to live his own life out of the spotlight and away from the drama surrounding his family.

Some of his interests now include piano, photography and books/history.

I play TJ as gay. An exception to this is an AU with the lovely @bibbidibobbidibucky where TJ is bi.
