Okay so I am trying this new dating/friend finding app as a newly minted lesbian with more ideas than experiences.
What bothers me about this app though is that you can't really age restrict or restrict by anything else- SO EVERYONE on the App sees your posts always. I'm a lesbian but do not know why they keep showing me tons and tons of people that would not date a lesbian.
They kind of threw all the lgbt people into a bucket and were like "but you'd date any other lgbt person RIGHT?"

OMG I LOVE the Minako/Mamoru ship! (though I don't RP either of them, but they're definitely one of my rare-pair ships of SM!) Please tell me how envision your AU verse with this ship working? Hell even platonically in canon what's Minako and Mamoru's relationship with each other like?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I don’t get to talk about these two often enough so HERE WE GO.
The AU:There are a few factors which play in to how they dynamic works: does Mamoru meet Minako prior to meeting Usagi? Has Tuxedo Kamen already did nothing aided Sailor Moon  a few times? You see, IF Mamoru/Tuxedo encountered Minako/V PRIOR to meeting Usagi/Moon I feel the dyanimc begins very much the same as UsaMamo’s canon. Sure Minako is different than Usagi but let’s face it–her maturity only really develops from her time as Sailor V and as a civilian she’s still silly, dreaming about boys and idols and boys who are idols, etc.  As Sailor V I imagine she’s just as quick as Sailor Moon to believe in Tuxedo and that he fights for good. I can see her swooning over him in the same fashion. Sailor VENUS, however, is not so quick to allow this. She is a woman with a mission to find her true princess and not even a cute guy in a tuxedo can derail that… at first. But he’s always there and he’s always giving her the courage she needs. Minako as either identity falls into generally the same attitude: he’s totally dreamy and mysterious, albeit a jerk. NOW, let’s say that Mamoru/Tuxedo encounter Minako/Venus at the same time as canon–after he’s already developing a sort of relationship with Usagi/Moon–and WHAM this girl comes along as the princess he’s searching for? Well if you like soap operas then saddle up. As Mamoru he is progressively falling in love with Usagi, the goofy yet sweet school girl who should probably study a little more. He’s endlessly fascinated by her (and her talking cat) and their relationship is blossoming. HOWEVER the part of him which is Tuexdo Mask yearns to know more about Sailor Venus, his Moon Princess, and so I see him staging robberies and other petty crimes just for a chance to talk to her and get some answers. If this isn’t bad enough imagine the drama unfolding in a battle: who does he protect? Sailor Moon, the hero whom until now he’s been right behind? Or does his focus shift to Sailor Venus, the faux princess? Picture it in your mind this idea of Mamoru being two separate entities being in love with different people. Let’s even just discuss Minako for a second (RIP my OG muse). Imagine, IMAGINE you’re trying to pretend being a princess to save your REAL princess from pain ONLY TO FALL IN LOVE WITH HER FORMER LOVER. How the fuck do you even cope with that? And now all parties involved have to make their decisions. Does Mamoru follow his heart to be with Usagi or does his alter ego reign supreme? Does Usagi/Moon give up the reincarnation of the man who fucking died for her, for her friend’s happiness? And just as equally does Minako give up on Mamoru or does she try for this small taste of happiness? I’m not joking when I say I could probably write a full on essay analyzing all of these things. Canon: This is something that also depends on what canon you’re sticking to. For example in the 90s anime the Senshi (Minako aside) all sort of have minor friendships with Mamoru that we see on screen. Hell, Rei even tried to DATE HIM. So I feel as though there’s no bad feelings between them but we don’t get anything to suggest otherwise as well. Mamoru, I feel, also tends to take more of a back-seat compared to all the Senshi in the 90s anime. Sure he helps Sailor Moon (like once a season) but more or less it’s the girls who grant her power most often. The 90s anime also didn’t really give them (MamoUsa) a credible relationship at certain points in the arcs. For example the infamous break up in R–MAMORU, WHY THE FUCK WOULDN’T YOU JUST, IDK, TALK TO USAGI?! WAS THAT TOO DIFFICULT FOR YOU? TO FORM REAL WORDS?! jfc. IIRC the manga/Crystal feature Mamoru and the Senshi interacting even less. So in some ways it’s a bit hard to imagine what they’re relation is like without some sort of base attitude. However, in my mind, they’re not openly friends but they realize they have so much in common and it creates this sort of silent bond. I read earlier another Mamoru blog, aegisol, mentioned both Mamoru and Minako tend to be deeply rooted in their past. To me this is common ground among them and it can lead to private discussions when they vent about mistakes they made in the Silver Millennium and how they’re trying to keep that horror from repeating, etc. I don’t think Minako ever has or ever will allow her to forget she was part of the reason for the Moon Kingdom falling and she carries that on her shoulders. One of the only people who I think feels remotely the same way is Mamoru. That’s not to say all the other Senshi and Usagi don’t reflect on their past lives but I feel overall they progress into a mindset of thinking more towards the future faster. Minako and Mamoru get there but it takes more time. I imagine too there’s not animosity, exactly, but there’s a silent battle of ‘I’m her loyal guardian and friend’ vs ‘I’m her past, present, and future lover and king.’. I like to believe in the future Sailor Venus is probably NQS’ main counsel aside from her husband and the other soldiers. As someone who has written both I sort of see Minako and Mamoru as two sides of the same coin: both are extremely loyal to Usagi, to their cause and their destiny, and will do anything to see a peaceful and bright future. They both reflect more on the past and allow themselves to sort of wallow in it more than anyone else as well. (Though TBH the Outers are REALLY good at wallowing in their fuck ups too.) They have a mutual respect for one another that will only go so far as both want to protect Usagi and the world. So I hope this all tends to make sense cause I feel like I’m starting to just babble endlessly and this fucker is just going to get longer and longer. I REALLY love talking about this dynamic, as well as anything with Mamoru and his relationships, so bring it the fuck on.
