So the medical "mystery" which has been causing me crippling pain for the last 13 years has been confirmed as endometriosis.

😑😑😑😑

13 years.

13 FUCKING YEARS.

And I've raised my period and ovulation pain with doctors so many times during those years that I've lost count. Every time I'd bring it up, I'd get told the same thing: "A lot of women get period pain/ovulation pain" and to just take panadol. They ignored my queries about endo and i was never given any help or sent for scans.

It didn't matter how old the doctor was, what gender they were, my pain was dismissed every time. Every. Single. Time. And now I'm left with permanent damage because the endo has stuck bits of me to other bits internally.

If i could go back in time I would tell me from 13 years ago to ask for a referral to a gyno, because my gyno is the only one who gave a shit and looked into this.

13 years, though - I can't get over that number.
