Amazing how many people heard Joy rant with tears in her eyes about how those bastards partied while her mum died alone in hospital and came away thinking the writer's beef was with lockdown rules.

#doctor who #dw #this episode was bit saying the rules were wrong #but instead captured the anger and frustration many felt after following them #not being able to be with loved ones as they died #only to see the ones who put those rules in place break them to have parties #and wishing they'd said sod the rules too just to be with their loved ones #“if they could break them for a knees up i should be able to break them to be with my mum”#joy feels like she was a coward for that but she still did the right thing #because people are messy and don't always have clear and logical thoughts about things
