looking at all the tags i just wrote let me say, i didn't know i had so many thoughts about this hypothetical
Rules:
You will be lost in either location for 24 hours, and constantly searching for the exit, with only short breaks permitted
You will not be able to find the exit until 24 hours have passed, and cannot use any emergency exits or windows to escape
There are no other people in either location, but amenities are still present (bathrooms, restaurants/kitchens/stores, etc)
Both the Ikea and airport are roughly the same size and represent the typical large city-based Ikea or airport
You cannot die or sleep for more than an hour at a time, and you can only sleep for a total of 6 hours in either location
#ikea. being lost in an airport feels like im not allowed to be anywhere outside of these few places#also in airports i'll be seeing and hearing people leave constantly which will just make the lack of exit more stressful for me#also ikeas are kinda laid out like labyrinths with interesting decor and furniture which will distract be from the dread#and while the airport offers more food options; i won't be able to enjoy them for very long#bc of the 'only short breaks permitted rule. i hate the vibes of the ikea cafeteria so i'm fine with only short breaks there#also falling asleep will likely be easier at an ikea. any sleep i've had at an airport has felt like diet sleep at best#side note if the ikea is the size of a large cities airport i think that would make me feel pretty ok with being so lost bc that's huge#i know i won't be able to have fun at the ikea but this isn't about that for me. it's about which would stress me out less
