I was having Fic Thoughts again, so I checked the S Cawaii! Men special Ateez issue, and omfg

Q14. Your favourite scent?

HJ: Musky notes

SH: The smell of skin

YH: Freshly washed sheets (he doesn't really use perfume)

YS: Tom Ford's Oakwood (LOL) (Oud Wood probably?)

S: inconclusive. on one hand, he says "mild, gentle scents", on the other, "scents that turn people's heads" www in my experience these two are opposites!

MG: fresh scents

WY: He's a woody fragrance guy, so he likes Diptyque. (At the time of the interview) he's wearing Tam Dao. His "main" fragrance is a mix of Diptyque's Eau Capitale and Tam Dao. His most favourite is Fleur de Peau which has a ricey scent to him, and he plans to use it until he dies provided it doesn't get discontinued. Tom Ford is another brand he likes, but again, for a woody scent enthusiast like him, Diptyque is #1. (LOL)

JH: fresh scents as well

#shrimp thoughts #wooyo made me curious about that ricey scent... but fragrantica describes it as powdery so i can see that i guess #it's a unisex scent too! Polish fragrantica users mention an earthy carrot and white paper; some english-speaking users have mentioned #licorice. a lot of people agree it's feminine and very 'skin-like' but complain that it doesn't last. and it's expensive (oof $240/75ml)#this interview was released two years ago and I think some things have changed about their scent preferences/perfume wearing habits #but it's fun that only two guys could list their favourite scent off the top of their head lol #(well. wooyo gave a proper elaborate answer and we love him for that)#well I'm not that rich so I've been using yves rocher vanilla fragrances -- vanille noire was my favourite until it got discontinued #i tried nuit vanilla too but it's CLOYINGLY sweet and when i sprayed it on my neck before going to class I had to excuse myself #and wash it off in the bathroom because i couldn't breathe. my shiny vanilla is sweet too but to a tolerable degree #i liked cuit de nuit when i smelled it at the store but now i'm seeing cuir vetiver is pretty unisex and leathery-vanilla so i'll give it a #try next time i'm there 🤔#anyway. seonghwa likes the smell of skin. you yisi.
