i started entertaining the notion that ashton is a diy beacon too hard and now i’ve fallen into a metaphor
#i was like. what if they weren't seeing the 'bodies' of fcg & imogen in ashon's head but their souls#bc like their physical bodies were still in the room. and then i was like. well exandria is kinda a beacon if you think about it#and now i'm just thinking about it#basil.ramblings#i don't think ashton is a beacon in a traditional sense but i am still holding so tight onto the whole#the luxon brought life to the elemental chaos of exandria like it brought ashton Back to life#and their mind is like. a pre-pantheon exandria with the dunamancy + the elemental chaos#also there's the fact that. the beacon they distilled/created the potion(s) of possibility from could've contained souls#and very fascinated by the concept of umavi. we know it's a ceremonial thing but there is also the whole 'umavi can find themselves#overwhelmed by the sheer amount of memories/conflicting lifetimes they have which can lead to behavioral problems'#wonder if there's something there/what would happen if you just. y'know.#dumped a bunch of chaos soul juice into the mind of a kid with fucked up elemental genetics he got from a plane-altering ritual#i do think it has more to do with possibilities and timelines ( like echo knights ) than being a full-on beacon but.#idk i'm making hmmm noises#also i feel like there's something up with their brain being basically frozen in time & ashton getting caught in that memory loop#and the fact that fcg & imogen were able to explore moments that ?? ashton probably wasn't concious for?? idk it's WEIRD#i have a lot of thoughts tonight
