okay part two anon i don’t want to publish that whole thing because i don’t want to clog up other peoples dashes but i will respond down here
i’ve already read that timeline and have done my own research and i haven’t seen anything to suggest girl at home was written before october 2011. the original poster doesn’t cite that source and while i respect their research (i noticed they have their speak now timeline up which i am very excited to read it, they’re very smart and diligent), it is a fan timeline not a direct source from taylor, and i don’t copy unsourced and unexplained fan claims into my research
on the other hand, the copyright for girl at home says it was created in 2012 and the copyright year for every other song on the original release of red is accurate, so that’s what i’ll believe until i get shown evidence otherwise
girl at home being a demo isn’t proof of her recording it before october— she was recording demos well into 2012, most famously treacherous in april 2012 (explained in both mine and your cited timeline)
i do appreciate your zac efron timeline and you effort to track down your sources for it, that was very nice of you. i’ll take down the bit about it being about his and lily’s relationship
i genuinely— i’m not being snarky i’m being honest from the bottom of my heart i just don't know how to word this without sounding rude-- i do not care about come back be here or message in a bottle's muse. in general i don’t care about paternity testing beyond how it helps with my timeline, and we already know when come back be here was written and i don’t see how the message in the bottles muse can help me figure out when it was written, unless it’s secretly about someone she met in may or something
i think i read your natural tone as combative (not your fault, totally my bad) and i don't think continuing this conversation will be in either of our best interests, but i wish you well and i appreciate your research
