i thought the boys couldn't be there for hoseok's discharge because the days off were canceled due to the situation regarding north korea - but then namjoon posted? it seems he's on vacation? i'm far from questioning their bond but i just wonder what's the reason and who decided that he shouldn't be there since he apparently was on vacation and could actually go. i'm a bit sad ngl. like if he already had a day off... who told him not to go see hoseok :(((

I've heard two things now so it could be one or the other, both, or neither frankly, in terms of why all of them couldn't go (North Korea bullshit or the Yoongi media blackout). And I dunno when Namjoon was on vacation, was it during Hoseok's discharge day or was it before? He's usually not the type to post day of when he does an outing, but if they did overlap it might have also been a situation of convenience vs inconvenience. Like how far is Hoseok's discharge location from where Namjoon is? Where was Namjoon on his break? If he would have spent more time traveling between places just to meet up with someone he'll see again and who he can talk to every day, maybe he just chose the simplest option.

Or, if based on the second reason I heard the members didn't go, which is the Yoongi media blackout theory, then he didn't go in solidarity with the fact that not ALL of them could go. Like as much as I would have loved to see Namjoon go and see Hoseok be discharged, there'd be an extra layer of sadness in the fact that the other 4 didn't even get the choice to see him, because of reasons completely out of their control.

And finally maybe it had nothing to do with NK or Yoongi or convenience, maybe they just chose not to, maybe Hoseok told them not to come, there are plenty of options and we'll never know the answer.
