keep forgetting i made shifters into like a species and not just a description for what chris can do. wild. they are like a type of predator animal in my universe and if anyone has questions i am Very inclined to answer!

#though most of christopher's quirks come from uhh. a demon #and not the fact that he's a shifter #some of them are shifter related quirks and this should be addressed hglkfsfjsld #chris tag #chris lore #but uhh basic rundown is that shifters are opportunistic predators that are humanity's only like. natural predator #they're usually quite tall (though not always) and can grow themselves or shrink potential prey <3 #and they get pointy teeth and slit pupils and the ability to purr and claws and all that (though it's all retractable when needed)#and instincts!!#they want to protect people by eating them that's instinctual #but sometimes wires get crossed. new shifters don't know what they're doing #and let the instincts get muddled with those of hunger #which. causes them to “go feral”#losing all control and just. feeding. <3 #idk this is irrelevant to the story but not to me <3 #they're more inclined to pounce on sudden movements and fast heartbeats (they can sense them with a specialized gland on their tongue!)#neat lil critters...
