(note, I have not seen the Teen Wolf movie and idk if I will cause everyone says it's so bad - I am saying this based off of random posts I have seen about the movie)

the only in universe canonical reason that Stiles is not in the movie but the Sheriff is and HIS FREAKING JEEP is - Stiles died between the canonical ending of the last season and the beginning of the movie. and there has been enough time since his death that it's not a huge talking point for everyone/the grief is not as fresh, and that is the only reason he's not balls deep in this supernatural mystery while everyone else is

#this is the only canon I will accept #the only reason that man would be parted from that fucking jeep #tbh it would have been an interesting basis of the movie if all the characters came back to Beacon Hills FOR STILES'S FUNERAL #like when they found out that they couldn't get DoB back make that the basis of the movie #everyone comes back for Stiles's funeral because he died off screen because it's a great reason for all the characters to reunite #especially to be forced to reunite in their home town #AND THEN they find out that Allison is still alive #HELL maybe dead off screen Stiles was piecing together the mystery of suddenly alive Allison hunting werewolves #and they find Stiles's crazy conspiracy board talking about Allison being alive #and they wonder what he was doing in his final days #and they find out that his death is somehow tied to her coming back to life idk #maybe I should have written the movie instead #sundrop speaks #teen wolf #stiles stilinski
