Sometimes there's a plotline where someone goes through some really severe psychological trauma and its so raw and it hurts but its Good and makes you feel so many emotions that have you questioning life and everything. And then sometimes there's a plotline where this happens and it doesn't make you feel good at all it just hurts and leaves a really really bad taste in your mouth and you hope you could forget it.

#this is specifically about the x factor plotline where jamie and theresa were going to have a baby and the baby turned out to be from a dupe #so jamie just absorbed him when he went to hold the baby #and theresa lost it and scratched the shit out of jamie's chest and everyone was so shitty to him about it and completely ignored his pain #over theresa's #and then it led to him attempting suicide until layla came back and took him to the future #god. that was so painful and it did not feel good at all it felt awful and wrong and it made me hurt for so long after i read it #i saw someone commenting about peter david's self hatred in this run and how it turned them away and i can totally see this here #but also there are so many plots in comics and other places that were like this and were really Good and raw and i liked them #this was not one of them. it fucked me up for so long after i read it
