i wonder how object shows in languages with grammatical gender systems deal with grammatical gender?
#wheucto#wheucto speaks#i might have made this post before but that's okay#languages like spanish_ russian_ italian_ a lot of european languages#though i wonder if there'd be a difference of fem/masc/neut vs fem/masc grammatical gender systems#since those with f/m/n tend to not align with natural gender as much and also neuter is there#and there's also animate/inanimate and common/neuter. c/n seems like there's nothing you can do to it in this case#but a/i you could change the inanimate nouns to animate ones. to indicate these are animate objects#ok. now f/m/n and f/m#those are grammatical genders who have genders which are similar to natural gender. since most object shows use the object nouns as names#that means dealing with grammatical gender#and i wonder how one would deal with that#one way is to make the genders of the nouns and people agree#another is to just give them whatever gender and don't care about the genders agreeing#you could also change the gender of the noun to make it agree with the character's gender#or maybe there's a suffix_ kind of like -y in some english object shows_ that indicates that one refers to a person? and that can agree wi-#-th gender?#since like. this has probably been a problem in the object show's world ever since there have been objects named after their object#which may have been as long as there have been objects. or maybe not? we don't know the hypothetical worldbuilding so
