mountains are formed at the expense of creating valleys
#i came up with this metaphor as the punctuation to an argument against capitalism#but it seemed like something that has had to have already been said so I googled it#and there are many quotes that use similar metaphors but none with the context I'm using it in#'mountains are made grander by its valleys' aren't demonizing the mountains so much as appreciating the valleys too#'mountains are for views and inspiration but fruit is grown in the valley' is similar the previous#'there are no mountains without valleys' is the closest I've found credited as a nameless lithuanian proverb#but with the context removed it could mean multiple things#so I'm taking credit for this variation of the metaphor#classic's quotes#advice#wisdom#capitalism#op
