internet was laggy today which meant i was getting like 2-3min of play time on the new dcst episode at a time, and i enjoyed it but not to the point where i was willing to rewind and watch like 5min or so again

until the 2nd half anyway, where i proceeded to watch the same 10 second clips over and over and over and ov

#dcst #listen!!!!#i retract my opinion about the first half!!#this is the best episode of the season!!!!#god that shot of xeno's eyes opening before the halfway mark and the voiceover too?????#that was so smooooooooth wasn't even 5sec but i spent at least a couple minutes looping that #and then when stan's gun catches on the spear and the whole flair of movement in that scene!?!??!?#yeah. yeah 10/10 nothing tops #the sound design was good too but aaaaaaaaa the match lighting cig and instant burnout #and the way his flowy hair got animated #i am on my hands and knees #i read ch166 last night in anticipation and i was not disappointed #i think the only thing i wanted to see that did not happen was the close-up of stan at the end #the posing is always different in animation and sometimes it's hard to match boichi's art bc it's detailed af #but it was still so good!!!!#also lmao i didn't expect charlotte's voice to be like that!!#was convinced it was a voice modulator and only the surprise at one of ryusui's maneuvers gave it away #but when she took off the mask....damn yea alright i can match voice to face #was the most concerned abt the voice giving away the plot but i should've trusted in toho more
