things that could salvage Campaign 3 for me:
final Predathos battle but they bring back the Downfall crew for a truly cosmic-level smack down

#and then the dawnfather gives bh the most devastating 'I'm not mad I'm just disappointed' in history#I haven't watched any episodes since the weave mind battle ftr#but looking at the forking paths as I understand them imho there's no cohesive narrative at this point where bh are the unqualified heroes#like no offense but killing ludinus was the bear minimum even if they decide not to release predathos#if I were a citizen of Exandria and I got the orb video version of this campaign watching all that hemming and hawing#I would not be cheering them as saviors I'd be like 'thanks for not being as fucking stupid as you could have been I guess?'#and if they DO release predathos well#if it successfully eats/chases off the gods and this is NOT framed as a devastating blow to the world done for essentially no reason#that would be such abhorrent storytelling that I don't think CR could come back from that for me personally#on the other hand if we're fighting predathos that will make a much more climactic finale#but also narratively speaking bh going 'whoopsie never mind' would be such a weak tone for an epic final battle#from where I stand there's just no salvaging bh as heroic protagonists like they've fucked the story already#thus my pitch: Everlight with the steel chair!#does it super fit the lore for the gods to fight and beat predathos head on?#meh as if anyone has been keeping track of the predathos lore the point is it would be lit#critrole#c3#cr spoilers
