one concept i really like (and am attempting to incorporate into a fic) is the idea of hux having to adjust to his newly-acquired organic body. like he's a creature of mechanical analysis and has no limitations at all up until the point where he becomes partially biological.
machines can break down, but can be fixed easily so long as you have the right parts and tools - and machines don't have deeply ingrained, entirely subconscious instincts borne from millions upon millions of years of evolution. how startling it must be to suddenly acquire these things, especially when you center pretty much your entire identity around being your own master ("you will hold no dominion over me" yadda yadda).
but if you want to benefit from having a partially-flesh body, you're going to have to accept that flesh has limitations, and that your organic components are going to be far less predictable than your mechanical ones. hux feels physical pain for the first time in his life during gabriel's immolation attempt, so we know that he has a fully-functioning nervous system.
how does he process, like, becoming itchy in a place he can't scratch for the first time. or sitting slumped over for too long and having the biological component of one of his limbs fall asleep. or getting a paper cut. or taking a bad step and losing his balance. or experiencing his skin being too hot or too cold and it's no longer as simple as adjusting his internal temperature readings to cool/heat himself. can hux appreciate the sensation of having a nice nap in a sunbeam or is he too much of a gigantic robobitch to ever let himself experience anything nice
