Exactly, it was incredibly obvious Logan already had serious feelings for Max by "Flushed" (I mean, he couldn't even fool Original Cindy, and she barely knew him at that point), in fact my headcanon has always been that he was smitten with her immediately in the pilot (and just when she starts liking him too, he goes and blows it by tricking her in front of the mirror). I don't think it was until around BBWW that Max started having serious feelings for Logan, what's your take?

Oh, man. The mirror thing kills me. Because Max did like Logan then, but he blew it in choosing to be Eyes Only in that moment instead of Logan Cale. But I’m also glad this happened, because the two probably would have gotten together too fast otherwise. And they were both ridiculous assholes, who needed to be broken down so they could be remade better through each other’s help.

Though now that I think about it, I don’t know if the mirror scene had that much of an affect. It did at first, but I think it was quickly overshadowed by the shooting: where Logan suddenly imagined Max would never think he was good enough for her now, and Max blamed herself for what happened to him and couldn’t pursue anything with him.

Personally, I feel they only have an attraction for each other in the first few episodes. I think it’s moving into love during Blah Blah Woof Woof, but I don’t know if it’s quite there yet--as that episode is still pretty early on.

Though maybe it is for Logan. Especially since Max risked getting sent back to Manticore to save his life. He may have been in love with her by this episode... and if he was, that probably makes Max taking back their kiss hurt all the more (but he lets her do it, anyway). And maybe that’s why he’s trying to push her away in Out (the episode right after this), if he’s convinced Max has made up her mind that there can be nothing between them... if he’s already in love with her there, he needs to try and get rid of his feelings pronto.

I think the episode Max probably realized her love for Logan was in Female Trouble, when she was forced to realize just how much he meant to her when she thought he’d killed himself.

Also... for some reason, I’ve always had the feeling they might have fallen in love with each other in “Red”. Just the fact that Logan is seeing to Max’s wounds at the end--the only one who can, as a hospital would notice her weird biology--and she admits to him that she’s afraid of the Reds, has always felt intimate to me. Logan saved her life epically before this, too.

Or maybe it was Rising, when Logan performed amateur brain surgery on Max and saved her life.

The episodes I feel they’re definitely already in love with each other are: Meow and Jesus Brought a Casserole, of course, Haven, Female Trouble, Pollo Loco, I and I am a Camera, Shorties in Love, Hit a Sista Back, and maybe the Kidz Are Aiight. Maybe Art Attack, too. Actually, I feel the moment Logan fell in love with Max is when she got him back his mother’s locket.

And it’s probably worth mentioning that the director of I and I am a Camera thought Logan was starting to realize he was in love with Max at that point, but I think he realized it before that.

I also think Max started falling for Logan (though it wasn’t love yet), when he took care of her during her seizures in “Flushed”, as no one had ever taken care of her before.

And for fun: I think it was Cold Comfort, when Max and Logan started staring at each other and seeing each other’s souls... and saying so much more with looks, than they’d ever say in person.
