my favorite thing about that movie is that klaus dying is the happy ending. you wouldn't see me here rn if jesper had died instead. because I would be underwater. the water being my tears
#bc like what if klaus wife magic had eternalized their love or something#meaning he lives forever (like yk santa klaus)#so he kept on delivering presents with jesper every year and making the most beautiful toys and having so much fun#and he got letters from jesper's children#and jesper's grandchildren but those he had to get his helpers to deliver because jesper was getting older#and jesper's grandgrandchildren. and we watched them open the presents next morning sat on the sofa with jesper and alva#and it was painfully clear how much older and weaker than him they looked#and then cut to klaus standing by jesper's fresh grave. and he's giving him a letter because jesper likes letters so much#and it's a reminder of how they met. how jesper saved him. gave him purpose#and it's a letter of gratitude. and he puts a coin there too#and next year there's only him in the sled. alone.#but he's still laughing. because jester likes his laugh. because jester smiles when he laughs. and he loves nothing more than jester's smile#and then there's a closeup to their names in the sled looking old and worn. and jester's hat is hanging on klaus' belt or something#and then we see the traditional santa claus flying over the moon#and we know. we know he'll keep doing it forever. because it was jester's idea. and he lives on through it#im lowkey (euphemism) tearing up about it ngl#klaus 2019#klausper
