in other news, I bought a new monstera today, and 1) I’m not fully sure what kind of monstera it is but *probably* a pinnatipartita. the plant passport on the pot only said “monstera” which I did figure out but not what kind exactly, so I’m gonna look into that a bit more tomorrow,

but also 2) apparently I’m now capable of recognizing monsteras from a distance even if it’s a species of monstera I don’t know and that doesn’t have the trademark fenestration. I literally just glanced at them from a few meters and went “oh hey look it’s some monsteras” so uh that’s an unexpected skill I apparently developed at some point

#plants #it was only 9 euro and pretty big so yes of course I brought it with me #I've been wanting a new monstera for a while #I LOVE my other monsteras #even if I do think one of my adansonii's has mosaic virus #it's really not looking good #gonna look into that soon too #because yikes #my new one is currently in quarantine in the attic #and then I need to figure out where the fuck I'm gonna put it khfdgkjhdjkgfd #that's.....gonna be a challenge #I'll figure something out but uh yeah wish me luck #also one day - ONE DAY - I will own a dubia #also maybe an esqueleto #I don't particularly care about obliqua tbh #apparently those are VERY fussy and slow growing #and really need to be kept in a special terrarium so nah I'm good
