durge and astarion having a little fight in my dadstarion fic and thinking about how personal he'd take it if durge left the kids with minsc bc they were so afraid he'd dump them somewhere
#bat rambles#playing into durge expecting the worst outcomes and playing 5D chess#meanwhile astarion is just trying to disassociate for the next 18 years#he'd be SO pressed if he found out durge left them with minsc to babysit#minsc would be great but do some dumb fucking shit but have like#the best luck so everything works out#like he is the least trustworthy with making age appropriate decisions#but will protect them with his life and give them right back to durge#they wouldn't worry abt it with the other companions but#i think they'd worry the other companions would be like “i don't wanna get involved in ur family fight”#the others would still take the kidlets no questions asked#but there'd be that worry they would hand babies to astarion if he asked for them#but they can tell minsc do not give these to anyone but me#and the only person he'd disobey that for is jaheira
