#and the mbti N/S distinction is the closest I think anyone's come to putting a finger on it

do I "believe" in MBTI in the sense that there are actually 16 distinct types of people? no. Can it be a useful method to get it through people's heads that not everybody thinks/operates the same way? yes. I think the more specific/technical you get with it the more it turns into nonsense, and I find it annoying when people use their MBTI type as like, the end-all-be-all of their entire identity. That said. I have an extremely good track record of guessing people's types. Especially funniest for people that haven't taken the test yet. I've literally been like oh yeah you seem like an ISTJ you'll probably get that. and then they do. Therefore I think it does have slightly more merit than something like, let's say astrology, at actually saying something meaningful about someone's personality. but also it's not real. does that make sense?
#the most useful distinction to me personally is the N-type/S-type divide#I literally can't explain it but I can always tell just vibes alone#(very N-type thing of me to say)#but like there's some kind of indescribable spectrum of ?????? factor#that I actually notice about how different people interact and get along#and the mbti N/S distinction is the closest I think anyone's come to putting a finger on it#although I don't think their explanation is that good either#for the record
