I DO WANT TO SAY belatedly that election night was a dumpster fire but in my red red state in my slightly less red district every conservative-backed candidate for schoolboard lost. that means queer kids who are going to school where i went to school will be significantly safer and may even receive the support they need and they won't need to worry as much about the books they want to read getting banned and they won't learn that slavery was GOOD. like that kind of stuff will influence them for the rest of their lives!! it's so important!! and that's in a RED RED state so please do not underestimate the value of your vote no matter where you live. your local elections are so important. primary elections are important midterm elections are important and we will have more in 2026 so y'all better get out there when the time comes ok!!
