while shipping is my favorite thing ever, I have to say, there are certain fandoms where I feel like Emma COULD be part of the family, I built the backstory knowing this and in some I even added background interactions with other canon muses so it'd feel more real, than I'd be enthusiastic to write her platonically close to people there because I'd want to make her and the canon characters grow through their friendship?? it's hard to explain because yeah, I'm usually a shipper, but when it comes to some of my fave shows (not all, just the ones where I feel she can truly belong and click) she's part of the fam, you know?
