Rarepair New Year 2024 ch15: Money/Grape, College AU
SFW
Wordcount: 1468
Grape doesn't realize he's mumbling to himself a mix of what's he's currently studying and the music blasting in his headphones. He's thankfully not loud enough to be a bother to the people around him. For one, because he's really only whispering the melody, with mathematical formulas as altered lyrics. And for two, because there's no one in the university library at this hour of the day anyway. Everyone else is busy being outside where the sun shines and the football team is training. Okay, sure, they're nice to look at, but Grape prefers to spend his afternoon here in the library, studying by himself.

He's in fact so focused on his work that he doesn't notice the tall skeleton standing behind him and looking over his shoulder. It takes Money a little poke at Grape's shoulders to get the small skeleton's attention. Grape startles as he fumbles to remove his headphones.
"Money! I didn't notice you, when did you get here?"
"just now, don't worry your little pretty face," Money grins nonchalantly as he takes a seat next to Grape. He links their arms together. "so, whachu doing here all by yourself, my baby? i've been texting you all afternoon, i want to go on a date."
Grape can't help the embarrassed blush creeping up his cheeks. He's not sure he's comfortable with the use of pet names between them, it really hasn't been that long since they've been together. If they're legit together at all.
It's not that Grape doesn't like Money, no. The tall skeleton has surprisingly proven to be quite nice to hang out with actually, and has made sure to act like the perfect boyfriend to Grape for the last three weeks. But Grape can't shake off the thought that maybe this is all fake after all, and the moment he'll reciprocate Money's attention or initiate anything romantic between them, someone is going to pop out of behind a wall with a camera and a stupid, mean grin that'll say, 'hey, this is all fake, you've been pranked, no way a popular skeleton like Money would want to go out with you, you dumbass!' and then millions of pictures will be hung up all around the university where people will get to see how Grape embarrassed himself by thinking this was true.
Maybe Grape is overthinking things a little.
Still, the fact remains that people like Money don't usually ask people like Grape out. The handsome, popular jock doesn't pick the little nerd when he's surrounded by cheerleaders, that only happens in bad rom-coms. Honestly, the only reason Grape accepted at all was because he truly thought that Money was messing with him at that party, and Grape wanted to play him at his own game. So when Money came up to him with a drink in his hand and straight up asked Grape to be his boyfriend, the small skeleton simply replied, 'sure', and then walked away like he didn't care.
What he didn't expect was to see Money come up to him the next day and sit next to him in class. In fact, Grape was so taken aback by the turn of events that he didn't flinch when Money asked his number and just gave it to him. In hindsight, he should've been more careful with his number because it would've been so easy for Money to spread that info around or post it on unsavory sites. But the only messages Grape started to receive after that were indeed from Money, who would text him good morning and good night, or about movies and games, or even to talk about what they learned during class.
They've been texting each other quite a lot for the past three weeks, so Grape is tempted to think that maybe Money did ask him out for real.
He's not sure about his own feelings for the tall skeleton though. Sure, Money is proving to be a nice skeleton to hang out with, but Grape is relatively sure that he isn't in love with Money. He doesn't know if the other loves him, and quite honestly he'd rather Money didn't. Regardless of whether Money was honest with his confession, three weeks is way too soon for the L-word.
That being said, things are nice so far and Grape hasn't felt the need yet to bail and ask Money to keep away from him. He's taking the new relationship, if he can call it that, one day at a time and it seems to be working for both of them. Money is just a little too demanding in his opinion, but he can tell that it's in good fun most of the time, like when he calls Grape 'baby' or asks for a kiss that Grape isn't ready to give anyway. Money doesn't seem to mind being told 'no', he even gets excited when Grape says 'not yet' instead. As a sort of reward for respecting Grape's pace, the small skeleton has taken to find roundabout ways to answer Money's demands, like blowing him a kiss when Money asks for one, or making dumb, baby blabbering sounds when Money uses such a nickname. It makes Money laugh.
He doesn't dare make his best baby impression in the middle of the library however, and simply puts his headphones away before trying to get back to his homework. Money is allowed to keep him company when he's studying, but he knows not to bother him.
Money is the opposite of helpful right now though, what with the way he's snuggling Grape's arm like that, his pointy cheek pressed into Grape's shoulder. It makes writing in his textbooks impossible so Grape tries to shake his arm and push the other away a little.
"Money, don't hold onto my arm like that," he complains. "I can't write if I can't move my arm."
Money shrugs. "just use your other hand to write. you're ambidextrous."
"No, I'm not."
"says who?"
Grape snorts. Money has this way of saying the dumbest shit all the time. It's not even funny, but it makes him laugh regardless.
"Seriously though, the faster I get this homework done, the faster we can go on that date," he ends up saying, which feels like he just lost the negociations with the enemy. He doesn't mind.
Money suddenly looks up at Grape and flashes him a happy smile. He sits up before planting himself behind Grape and hooks his hands under Grape's armpits. The small skeleton doesn't have the time to wonder what the fuck he's doing, as Money lifts him up and places him back down on the chair that Money was sitting in just a moment before. Grape, puzzled, stares at his boyfriend, who sits back down, this time putting his skull down on the desk. He looks up at Grape and blinks a few times like a happy cat who's just done knocking all the houseplants from their shelves.
"Was this necessary?" Grape asks with an unamused look.
It's Money's turn to laugh.
"do you mind if i watch you study?" He asks and Grape feels the blush come back.
It's a little embarrassing to be honest, but he finds that he doesn't hate the soft look in Money's eyelights, so he shrugs as his answer.
He focuses back on his work for a while and soon Money shifts into a blurry purple spot in the background. When Grape finally reaches his study goal for today, he looks to the side and notices Money's eyesockets are shut. A quick glance to the time and he realizes they've been here for just a little under an hour. Grape is honestly impressed that Money just stayed there with his skull on the desk instead of leaving Grape here to go out and have fun with his other, more popular friends.
Is Grape crazy for being moved by this? It's not like Money did anything, really. He literally just fell asleep on the desk.
Grape doesn't know what he's thinking when he lifts his hand and lets his palm make contact with Money's cheek. Maybe the tall skeleton wasn't asleep after all, as his eyesockets shoot open, though he doesn't say nor do anything, and simply stares intensely at Grape while the smaller skeleton's fingers trace an idle pattern under Money's right eyesocket, the one that's half-dead.
Grape delicately rubs his thumb there twice before removing his hand. That's all for today.
He then quickly puts his notebooks and pencils in his bag before standing up, nodding for Money to follow him.
"Okay, I'm done. Let's go on that date now."
Money happily lets Grape lead him out of the library, and he doesn't tease his small boyfriend when Grape intertwines their fingers together like a real couple.

Tumblr media
A Sky of Falling Birds
As I mentioned before, SFB is my next big project, which I plan to submit for BAF VN Jam. That's... 7/1.
Tumblr media
It's okay, I still got... 20 days.
There's a lot of work left to do and not much to show off at the moment.
Pre-Make
Or Pre 🕰 Make (P-M), I haven't completely decided on how to advertise the title yet. It's a "small" project that I came up with back in 2020 and still haven't finished. I thought I'd dedicate a few days' time to it and see how far I'd get. There's still a bit of work to do, but much of it is done.
The art's quite old and the story telling was the original test I did for SYVNH's looping mechanism so it won't be anything novel. The screenshot above is from this game. If he looks a little familiar, don't worry. That's not your imagination.
The Beauty Which Only Beast Knows
My other big focus for this month, we're hoping to finish it for Otome Jam... which also ends 7/1. I've a loose schedule for achieving that, but the team's health is the top priority so we're playing it by ear. It may take a little longer to finish up.
Other!
O2A2: Because I couldn't sit still!! I started planning for O2A2 2024! It'll be another entry into the kill series, but I hope to include some point and click elements to it. Last year I finished 9 VN projects, something I don't want to do again-- but!! I don't want to only finish one project this year!! I've been skipping and fomo-ing all the jams in the first half of the year. Well, no more! I'm going to get some work done this summer!!
Fan Projects: I don't think I need to keep my involvement in fan projects a secret anymore! I took part in the D. Gray Man 20th Anniversary Project, which we actually started work on late last year! I also took part in the Narumitsu Big Bang 2024 event, which... also started work late last year 🤔 Huh, I was really busy back then. Maybe that'll teach me to sign up for too many fan events... (😂 no ofc not!)
Misc: I finished some tedious updating work that I promised myself to do a while back. I'll admit I make my blog easiest for me to navigate, first and foremost. But if there's something that's bothering you, or have an idea to make navigation better, feel free to let me know through an ask! I also updated all of my itch io pages' images. They were originally linked from discord, which changed its policy and broke all direct image links. Thankfully, I had everything labeled in a private server so I could easily retrieve and reupload to update the pages. Yes, I should've done that long ago. And I'm sorry I just... didn't;;

Heather supports with Lysithea
I wanted to write for Claude finally... But I had an idea for Lysithea hah
C support
Heather: Okay, time to snip some up!
Lysithea: Oh, good evening Heather, what are you doing here at this hour..?
Heather: Bah! Lysithea! You scared me a little... But to answer your question.
Heather: The kitchen was busy the entire day and I was dying to bake something. So I decided that no matter what today I will bake.
Lysithea: Oh, I see.
Heather: It's nothing special, just some simple cookies.
Heather: Although I'm afraid that I added a little bit too much sugar... And butter... Actually I added too much of everything because it will be a huge batch.
Lysithea: How did that even happen..?
Heather: At first I added waaay too much sugar and then I started to balance it out by adding more of each ingredient.
Heather: Now that I think about it... Maybe I should've started from scratch... Not much would go to waste.
Lysithea: Or you could start properly measuring your ingredients.
Lysithea: That is... If you're actually following the recipe.
Heather: As a matter of fact, I don't.
Heather: Recipes are guidelines not to be followed!
Lysithea: That's... Quite the statement...
Heather: Either way... When I'm done... Do you mind taking some of those cookies with you?
Lysithea: ... I'll help you. You still have quite a lot of dough there but you don't have to do it all now. Put some away for later.
Heather: Oh right! That's actually a good idea... Why didn't I think of that..?
B support:
Lysithea: Heather, I have something I'd like to discuss.
Heather: hm? Sure thing, I'll hear you out!
Lysithea: Good, then I'll teach you to plan ahead.
Lysithea: You always act first, think later so it's about time you be more responsible.
Heather: I had a feeling you'd say that, I appreciate the thought really, but what happened last time was not the norm.
Lysithea: And what was that about "guidelines not to be followed"?
Heather: Simple really, what I mean by that is that when baking going with the flow makes it more fun and satisfying.
Heather: Anyone can follow a book, but when you add your own touches is when your cooking gets to be more special.
Heather: But I do agree that a lot of... Problems could be avoided if I were to at least put my random measurement of an ingredient in a separate bowl so I can control it.
Lysithea: That's a good step in the right direction. But I must say... Baking with you was a lot of fun even if we were just finishing it.
Lysithea: So I was wondering... Maybe we should try making something from scratch? I'll of course regulate your chaos.
Heather: That'll help me get into the measuring habit.
Lysithea: You can count on me to make sure of that.
B+ support:
Lysithea: Heather! No! You can't put that in yet!
Heather: Trust the process, I've done it plenty of times.
Lysithea: It won't be as good if you won't let it sit.
Heather: Alright fine, we'll do it your way...
Lysithea: Good.
Lysithea: Just know that I'm not doubting your abilities, but it's some steps just can't be skipped.
Heather: Alright, I suppose I'm just a bit hyped is all.
Heather: You're always so good at so many things... I think I just wanted to show off now.
Lysithea: I see...
Lysithea: Well, you definitely don't need to show off your baking skills.
Lysithea: I've tasted your treat numerous of times, while the way you do it is questionable- the results rarely are anything less than delicious.
Heather: Thank you!
Lysithea: But you need to also pay more attention to fundamentals. I'm not saying you have to do everything by the book.
Heather: I get what you mean... I'll try to do just that.
Lysithea: Then here is something you can start practicing with.
Heather: Ooh, a recipe from you? I'm definitely looking forward to making it.
A support:
Lysithea: Oh, Heather, you're baking late again?
Heather: What can I say, some habits die hard...
Heather: ...
Lysithea: Is something wrong?
Heather: I just... Though this would help me get my mind of things.
Lysithea: I see...
Lysithea: Huh... You're following that recipe?
Heather: I'd be a fool to disrespect your personal recipe.
Heather: And well... I guess I've been too distracted to even try to do it my way.
Heather: Everything that's happened recently... I guess it's weighing on my mind still.
Lysithea: ...
Lysithea: Heather.
Heather: Yes?
Lysithea: I want you to try it doing your own way, right now.
Heather: But I'm halfway in. Besides, you told me to-
Lysithea: I know what I said. But it's just so hard to watch you without that spark when you bake.
Lysithea: It's something special to you. And I don't want you to do anything else but to go with your heart.
Heather: Alright... But only if you regulate the chaos again.
Heather: To be honest... I found it hard to fully enjoy baking alone, besides I wouldn't want you to just stand back and watch.
Lysithea: Alright, we have a deal.
Lysithea: We will bake together as often as you'd like.
Heather: I wouldn't want to take up your time...
Lysithea: Listen, how I spend my time is my choice alone.
Lysithea: And that choice is- to make delicious sweets we can enjoy later together.
Heather: That's quite a sweet offer.
Lysithea: ... You know I just might change my mind.
Heather: Aww come on! You walked into that one.
Lysithea: And soon I'll walk out of the kitchen.
Heather: Wait! Lysithea don't leave me! What about the cake!?

Weary Planning
Prompt: "This is it, isn't it?" | Fictober Day 8
This one's short (which is lowkey a miracle for me lol) but I like it! Hope you do too!
*****
Kero is a neat man, typically. He finds peace in order, in neat organization and straight lines. He organizes things neatly, marks maps clearly, never loses a document of importance. The only messy thing about him are his eyes and his hands.
Sleep is elusive, only coming when battle is not leering over him, taunting him with the deaths that could come by way of his hand. His mind directs the tide of battle and each loss always rests on his shoulders. He works with coal and ink both, and even in the pristine cleanliness of the castle, in times of peace, his hands are stained gray-black.
He is more of a mess now, though, than usual.
His hair sticks up, half dry ink streaked through the bronze locks from the way he runs his fingers through it as he thinks. Those stains never come out easy and when (if) he returns home, he'll be scolded for it, but victory is more important than his vanity.
They had a battle coming up. The battle.
The one that was going to be the end of the war, one way or another.
He stares, with too much focus, at the papers splayed across his desk. He would have to submit the rough final plan in the morning, to share with the troops so they could adequately train. As soon as the sun kissed their temporary camp, he would only be able to make minute changes. The weight of each life depending on this fight, each soldier and each peasant and all others of the kingdom, sit dead on his soldiers.
In the morning, the weight will shift some, onto the troops. But for now, they rest on him alone.
His plans would be the reason for victory or failure -- if they lose and the kingdom burns in blood, it rests on him. He trails the nail of his little finger along one of the plans, following a troop's covert path to flank the enemy.
His incisor sinks into his lower lip, mind running over every tweak he could make to increase odds of victory with the least danger of lives to lose.
Kero shuffles out a plan three sheets deep, one of the first, and lays it half atop his newest. If he pieced them like that. He hovers a finger over it, noting how he could mesh the two to make an even better plan, and pulls out a new sheet, his fingerprints stamping in the corner.
He scrawls it out, careful to keep lines clean with his stiff fingers.
He stares at the finished plan. Turns it over his head, tries to tear it apart as if it was the enemy's. Deems it good. The moon is sinking under the hills, he knows, for the way no silver is creeping under the edge of the tent as it has been, with cloudless skies and bright fullness.
A mockery of the battle plays in his head, faded like his fingerprints on the parchment. He slumps into the chair he abandoned hours ago, tilting his head back.
It was as good as he could get it, for now. The council would examine his best five in the morning, though that's the one they'd pick. All there was to do now was wait. He can practically feel the sun lurking just under the horizon, waiting to tint the sky in it's light.
A hand presses against his cheek, familiar and cool. Lina speaks softly, concern weary in her words. "The sun is almost up," she observes and if there'd been any vigor to her tone, it would have been scolding. As it is, it sounds accepting, if not a little disappointed. "Did you manage any rest at all?"
"I couldn't." He blinks lazily. Battle flickers against his closed lids.
Her hand falls to his shoulder and she rubs the heel of it against a knot she already knows exists. She sighs. "Is it done, at least?"
He gestures at it, placed neatly atop the others, centered among the mess. She doesn't bother observing it, as she'll see it in a couple hours. "Good."
"You shouldn't be up," he says, as if he isn't the boneless in a chair, tired down to his bones.
Her laugh is gentle. "I couldn't sleep much either, so I thought I'd see how you were doing."
He hums, accepting the answer. He'd expected her to show, anyway. None of them are sleeping quite right, especially those who are bearing all the weight. It's to be expected, with what lies before them, only growing larger.
They enjoy each other's silence, for a while. Days bring them none and sleep brings terrors of all the horrible what ifs.
"This is it," he says, staring at his black-tipped hands limp in his lap, isn't it?"
A moment of silence, solemnity and pre-grieving and wondering. "Yeah," she confirms gently. "It is."
He nods. "We stand a chance," he assures, swinging his head to the side to press an air soft kiss to her hand. "We just need to be ready."
Lina squeezes his shoulder. "We will be." He can all but feel her flimsy smile, beaten hope still shining.
Kero tries to absorb that brightness, that ever-strong faith. "Yeah," he says. "We will be."

pairing: mingyu x reader
summary: mingyu is too addicted to the love he has for you to let you go.
warnings: mentions of extortion, age gap (reader is in her 20s and mingyu is in his 30s), jealousy, daddy kink, spanking, unprotected sex, hand job, oral sex (f receiving), make up sex, office sex, morning sex, riding, backshots, creampie, pussydrunk!mingyu, overstimulation, soft!mingyu, a little bit of angst
read part one and two and four
a/n: pure filth as usual. minors dni!!
Strangely, you don't feel guilty.
Not when your mom comes home one night in a fit of rage because Mingyu broke off the engagement, not when she calls you weeks before school is over to insist that you move back home, and not when you notice that she's starting to drink more. Maybe it's the part of you that resents her for brushing you aside and treating you more like a burden than a daughter, or maybe you were just too busy basking in your bliss to care.
Either way, you should've seen her actions as a forewarning. And it's not until she joins you for breakfast one morning that you realized you fucked up by not being more careful.
“I'm selling the house.”
You stop mid-chew, and the sugary cereal in your mouth suddenly tastes sour. When you lift your eyes to look at her, you noticed that she's actually changed out of her pajamas and wearing makeup. There's a satisfied smirk on her face as she scrolls through her phone.
You force yourself to swallow the food that now feels like rocks and blink at her. “What?”
“I paid Mingyu a little visit yesterday.” She doesn't look up from her phone. "Now that he gave me what I needed, I'm free to leave this city and live the life I've always wanted.”
Her dig doesn't hurt, but it's the other part of her sentence that has an uncomfortable knot forming in your stomach. “What are you talking about?”
“You know, I always had a feeling he was screwing some whore behind my back. When I told him that his business associates would be very interested to know about his affair, he gave me a settlement to keep me quiet. He knows as well as I do that something like that could ruin his career.”
It felt like your ears were ringing. You knew the affair you two were having wasn't necessarily moral and potentially life-ruining, but to think that your mother had actually extorted him—
“Don't give me that look.” Your mom rolled her eyes. “I'll wait until you're back in school to finalize everything. That'll give you some time to make some arrangements for when the school year is over.”
It didn't matter to you that she had chosen to tell you this only three days before you were meant to go back to school. You didn't even care that you had no place to store your things or even a potential place of your own when you were done with school. All you could think about was Mingyu, and how this was all affecting him.
How were you ever going to face him again?
Maybe it was stupid of you to think that things between him and your mom would be a clean break. It was probably even more stupid of you to get so attached to him while knowing how badly things could end. The entire time you knew your relationship couldn't possibly last for so long, but to have it end this way is almost too painful for you to handle.
It hurts when you start to distance yourself from Mingyu. You almost feel guilty until you remind yourself that it's the right thing to do. Despite your mom not knowing it was you who was fucking her fiancé (she wouldn't have been so calm and levelheaded if she knew), the potential of her ruining his life haunted you constantly. And you loved him too much to let that be something within the realm of possibility.
It's easier to avoid him when school starts. Days soon turn into weeks, and you think that maybe you've finally managed to create a rift that's big enough to make Mingyu lose interest. The gaping hole in your chest doesn't close with time, but you know you can’t let yourself ruin the man you love only for the selfish reason that you want to keep him by your side.
“You're in serious need of some dick.”
You give Minghao the dirtiest glare you could muster. He only laughs and throws an arm around your shoulder, affectionately squeezing you against him. “It's true and you know it. With the way you've been acting, I can tell it's because you haven't—”
“I'm just waiting for you to end your celibacy so I have someone to go to the club with.”
Your friend scowls at you. “I'm not celibate! I'm just waiting for a certain frat boy to realize sex is better when there's feelings involved. Not that you would know, Miss Hit It And Quit It.”
Oh, but you did know. That's why you had gone all this time without so much as touching yourself. Nothing felt the same without Mingyu, and it showed. Bad.
Another week goes by before Minghao decides he's done waiting around. Determined to get his mind off of that stupid frat bro, he invites you, a girl from his communications class, and your mutual friend Seungcheol for a night out. He insists on making a whole night of it and drags you all to a fancy restaurant before going to the club.
You often forget that he's a trust fund baby until he does some out of touch rich kid shit. Like now, as he's pulling out his black card and only telling the hostess his name instead of making an actual reservation. You're not surprised when he tells the group that the ridiculously expensive dinner you're about to have is on him.
As the waiter is escorting you to a table, you almost trip over yourself when you see Mingyu at one of the tables. He's not alone, either. A beautiful woman that seems to be around his age is sitting with him.
You know it's not right or sane to feel such a rabid jealousy—jealousy that barely overshadows the hurt consuming your chest. The organ in your chest clenches painfully when you make eye contact with Mingyu and he's quick to turn his attention back to the woman sitting across from him.
“Are you going to order some wine?” You immediately ask Minghao after you're seated.
You two have been friends long enough for Minghao to realize something else is going on. Of course, he doesn't mention it and has a vintage bottle brought out, making a note to grill you about your inner turmoil later.
As you sip on the bitter drink, you try to convince yourself that it's for the best that Mingyu had already moved on. Maybe someone age appropriate and who isn't related to his ex-fiancé is just what he needs. This was a good thing.
So why did it feel so terrible?
You practically drink the entire bottle by yourself to keep yourself from looking at the table Mingyu and his date are at. Before you could try to keep drinking, your friends decide it's time to go to the club. You don't know whether to feel relieved or upset.
The rest of the night is kind of a blur, but you know you don't have the capacity to try to hook up with anyone. All you could think about was Mingyu and how easily he had moved on.
It hurt, but you start to think maybe it's time for you to do the same.
Tumblr media
Seungkwan doesn't consider himself a nosy person.
In fact, it's because he so rigorously minds his own business that he's been able to preserve his job as Kim Mingyu's assistant for so long. Sure, the man was one of the kindest people he'd ever met, but his boss was surprisingly ruthless when it came to work and his privacy.
Seungkwan isn't a nosy person, but his literal job description entails him knowing every last bit of Mingyu's personal business—for his schedule, of course. Being privy to every last tidbit of his boss's work and personal life was the embodiment of stress because a lot of the times knowing certain things meant he was forced to do things that weren't necessarily part of his job description.
Like when Mingyu asks him to find out why the cute college girl he was seeing is suddenly ghosting him. Instead of telling his boss that she probably just got bored of him, Seungkwan did as he was told.
Now, he'd talked to you on multiple occasions since his boss started bringing you around. You were extremely kind, but there was always a wall that you put up to prevent anyone from getting too close. It was almost comedic how you and Mingyu were so similar in that way.
Unfortunately, because of your reluctance to divulge anything about your personal life, Seungkwan is forced to go back to his boss empty handed. Mingyu isn't satisfied with his lack of information him and tells him to find out what's going on no matter how long it takes. It's clear that he's going to have a lot of late nights until he gets his boss the information he wants.
Luckily for Seungkwan, you ask for his help about a week later.
Apparently, you as well as some of your other friends participated in throwing a party at the dorms you lived in. After it was all said and done, the RA gave nearly the entire hall a 48 hour notice to vacate the dorm. He wasn't sure if taking advantage of the situation you were in was right, but he knew this was his only chance to placate his very agitated boss.
Maybe asking Boo Seungkwan to help you find a decent apartment within your price range was a stupid idea, but you knew he was a reliable person who was great at keeping things confidential. That's why Mingyu had kept him as his personal assistant for so long. It's not like you had much of a choice, anyway.
What you didn't realize was that Seungkwan was good at keeping secrets, just not yours.
Belatedly, you found this out when you finished looking at an apartment that was within your price range and not entirely terrible. You walked out of the building to find Mingyu leaning against his expensive car, waiting for you. It was so twisted, the way your heart warmed while your stomach clenched anxiously at the sight of him.
Within seconds of seeing you, he walked over until he was standing directly in front of you. The displeased expression he wore on his face was something you weren't used to. “You've been avoiding me.”
It's a fact, not a question.
You keep your face neutral, mentally cursing Seungkwan for ratting you out. “I've been busy. You have too—you're a powerful man.”
Mingyu's frown deepened. “I'm never too busy for you.”
You hate when he says things like that, like he'll never let anything separate you two. Like it doesn't matter to him that your mother threatened to ruin his life.
“I...” you tried to keep your voice steady. “We don't always have to spend so much time together.”
The way Mingyu's face twists into a hurt expression makes you wish you never said anything. “What are you talking about? Is something wrong? I mean, you didn't even tell me that you were looking for your own place.”
“I don’t have to tell you everything. It’s not like we’re in a relationship, and… and I know you've been seeing other people.”
It's a low blow, and saying it out loud actually hurts more than you thought it would. But it's the only way you'll be able to keep him at a distance.
Mingyu almost never got mad at you, but with the look he's currently giving you, you can tell you've pushed him too far. “I was having dinner with my sister. I told you she was coming into town last week.”
You vaguely recall reading a message from him that told you all about it. Despite the guilt eating at you, you don't relent. “Fine. Whatever. The fact still remains that we never agreed to be in a relationship. Not even after you broke off things with my mom.”
His hurt expression kills you, and for a moment you wish things didn't have to be like this.
“So...” Mingyu swallows thickly. “When I told you that I wanted you to stay by my side forever... that didn't mean anything to you?”
You swallowed thickly, hating how the back of your eyes were starting to burn. Fuck. If he was going to make it this hard, maybe being honest was the only way to end things for good. No matter how painful it was going to be, having that conversation with him needed to be done.
“I know that my mom threatened you, and I know you gave her money to keep her quiet.”
Mingyu feels like a bucket of ice water was dumped on his head. It's not like he meant to keep you in the dark, but he didn't want to upset you. Deep down he was afraid of this exact situation. He wasn't fearful of your mother's threats, but losing you was a different story.
“Y/N, I—”
“I don't want your life to be ruined because of me.” You hated how your voice trembled. “It'll be better for both of us if we just end this now.”
“The only way you'll ruin my life is if you leave me.”
Fuck.
Mingyu always knew the exact way to tug at your heartstrings. For so long you pushed people away to avoid being hurt when they inevitably left, but here this wonderful man was, not willing to let you go. His gaze was certain and full of so much love that you were one second away from giving in to him.
“What if... what if you change your mind?”
Your voice was so small and vulnerable that it actually surprised Mingyu. It broke his heart to know that you had done all of this for his sake. He can't remember the last time someone was willing to sacrifice their own happiness to protect him, and it made him that much more certain about you being the person he wants to be with forever.
Mingyu grabs your wrist and easily tugs you toward him, caging you against him with his brawny arms. “Oh, baby...” he murmurs soothingly. “You are it for me. Nothing will ever change that.”
Especially when he saw how sincere you were with loving him. Now that he thought about it, he never saw that sincerity in your mother when they were together. But that didn't matter anymore. All that mattered to Mingyu now was getting you to stay by his side forever.
“Please don't leave me.”
His desperate whisper broke the last of your fragile resolve. You tightened your arms around him.
“I won't.”
Mingyu still thinks it's a dream when you go back to his penthouse with him. It's too easy to convince you to lay down with him and even easier to get you to move in with him. You two lay on his bed with his head on your chest, tucked right under your chin. He loves the way you gently run your nails along his scalp. It soothes him and oddly reassures him that you won't leave.
The silence is thick, but not uncomfortable. You two hold each other as if you're afraid the other might spontaneously disappear.
You shift your leg slightly, body reacting before your brain when you feel his dick against your thigh. It's not hard, but all it takes is you brushing up against it again to do the trick. Mingyu actually whimpers into your collarbone, and the pathetic sound makes you get embarrassingly wet.
Licking your lips, you gently rub your thigh against him until he's rutting his hips against you. This abrupt switch in dynamic is surprising, but so fucking hot. Now you can understand why Mingyu loves to see you desperately begging for his cock.
“Fuck...” he breathes against your neck.
The hand that was caressing his back slowly slides down to cup his aching cock. You give it a gentle squeeze, basking in the soft moan he lets out. Mingyu's cock is twitching in your hand, and it literally makes you salivate. It's so hot and heavy against your palm that you can no longer resist and stick your hand in his sweatpants.
You let out a pleased moan when your hand meets the warm skin of his bare dick. Slowly, you start pumping him until he's moaning against your neck. Your panties are sticking to your cunt at this point, and you clench at the thought of finally having inside you again.
When he comes in your hand, you smear his release all over his throbbing length. He's still hard, and by the way he bucks his hips against your hand you know he's desperate to be inside you.
“Baby, please...”
Fuck. Hearing him beg you is the hottest thing ever. You roll over until you're sitting on top of him. His adorable gasp of pleasure when he feels your slick cunt against him makes you bite your lip. Mingyu being so desperate and needy was turned you on more than anything.
“Want time to ride you, daddy?” You purr, hands smoothing over his naked chest and abdomen. His eyes roll to the back of his head as you grind your hips and rub your essence all over his aching cock.
Mingyu lets out a choked moan, slightly frustrated with your teasing. "Fuck yeah I do."
His needy words have you smashing your lips against his in a messy kiss. Your moans mix together as you shove your tongue in his mouth, loving the way he's so desperate to have you.
Not wanting to wait any longer, shift your panties to the side and rub his tip against you teasingly. His muffled groans make turn you on even more, and it's all the coaxing you need to finally sink down on him. The stretch is a bit painful since you two haven't fucked in so long, but you love it.
You grind your hips slowly, moaning at the delicious way his cock is hitting deep inside you. The roll of your hips is slow since you want to savor the feeing of having Mingyu's fat dick inside you after so long.
Eventually, you get impatient and your movements become rougher and more demanding. Mingyu thinks he's going to go crazy when you start bouncing on his cock. His fat tip hits your sweet spot easily, and you both moan loudly at the delicious feeling. Your juices are spilling down to his balls, filling the room with wet slapping sounds. The loud squelching of your dripping pussy paired with the sight of his dick disappearing inside you is pushing him closer to the edge far too soon.
Fuck. He can't believe he almost lost you forever.
That thought has him gripping your hips tightly before he flips you over so you're underneath him. Your cunt clamps down on his cock, and it's almost embarrassing how a display of strength can turn you on so much.
“Fuck, baby girl.” Mingyu moans as he starts fucking his cock into you. “Tell me you want me.”
He's so needy tonight, and you know it's because you pushed him away. Honestly, now you could see what a disservice it was to stay away for so long. But that no longer mattered because you planned to make it up to him for the rest of your life.
With your head thrown back you let out a loud moan. “I need you to fuck me, daddy!”
Mingyu glances down to where you two are connected. His dick is plugging you full of your own wetness and the precum that's dripping from the fat head of his tip. The erotic sight makes his control snap. Like a desperate man, Mingyu starts fucking into you deeply and roughly. His cock rams into your sweet spot repeatedly, making you whimper and moan out incoherently. Mingyu lets out a loud moan as your sweet cunt clamps down on him like it wants his cock to be trapped deep inside you forever.
“Fuh-Fuck, daddy! Your cock is so good!”
Your eyes are rolled back, and Mingyu can tell that he's already starting to fuck you stupid. His dick throbs at the very thought.
A carnal, wet sound fills his room, and he loves it almost as much as he loves the feeling of your tight walls suffocating him, massaging his length with delicious pleasure that licks up his cock and pools in his abdomen.
“Missed you so much, baby.” Mingyu moans, dropping his head into your neck. “Missed your tight cunt.”
His words trigger your orgasm. Mingyu watches you come undone, letting out a choked moan at the feeling of you coating his big cock with your cream. He continues to fuck you hard, needing to fill you up with his cum. It's been so long, and now he's going to fill you so good that you're going to feel him for days.
“Cum inside me, daddy.” You whisper in his ear as your walls tighten around his cock again.
Mingyu bites down on your neck as he releases inside you. Thick, hot cum coats your walls, and you gently grind your hips up to meet his sloppy thrusts. Fuck. You missed the feeling of Mingyu fucking his cum into you so much. A soft mewl slips past your lips as he gently rocks his cock into your push, gently licking over the mark he's left on your neck.
In your fucked out state, you manage to push him off of you and roll over until you're on all fours and shoving your ass back against his still-hard dick. With a sensual grin, you lean against your elbows and look back at Mingyu. “Want more of daddy's cum.”
And as always, Mingyu is powerless to your pleas.
He caresses your bare ass before he holds it open to get a clear view of his seed dripping out of your pussy. Mingyu slowly teases your entrance with the head of his cock, moaning when the tip catches on your weeping clit. You shove your ass back, wanting him to fill you again.
When he finally does shove his dick inside you fully, you gasp and let out the cutest whine. He feels drunk when you tell him how his big cock is splitting you open. Mingyu sinks deeper into you, driving his dick into your most sensitive spot. Loud moans echo off the walls when your pussy clamps around him like a vice.
“Missed your cock, daddy.” You whimper. “Missed you.”
“Oh, princess.” Mingyu coos, cock throbbing wildly at your words. His honeyed voice doesn't match the wolffish grin on his face. “Daddy's never letting you go again.”
His cock is slamming into you, forcing you to feel every inch of him as he spilts you open. Mingyu grips your hips tightly, using it as leverage to drill himself into you. Your eyes roll to the back of your head when you feel his cock hitting your sweet spot over and over again. At the sound of your incoherent whimpers and moans, Mingyu can't help but to slam himself into you harder.
The wet sound your pussy makes every time his hips connect with your ass is music to his ears. He can't get enough of the lewd squelch that fills the room every time he pounds into you.
“Fuck, baby. Your sloppy hole is always so tight no matter how many times I fuck you.” It's his favorite sight to see. The sticky white mess you leave around the base of his cock with each roll of his hips drives him crazy. He'll never get enough of your pussy staining his abdomen with your shiny slick. “Creaming all over daddy's cock and making a fucking mess.”
“Da-Daddy.” You whine. “Fuck! Your cock is too big.”
He's going to destroy you, Mingyu thinks. Until you’re a babbling mess on his cock.
With a low groan, he starts fucking into you more desperately. You cry out loudly, sinking deeper into the plush pillows at the top of his bed. Mingyu enjoys the soft mewls you let out as he snaps his hip against your quivering thighs. The words you speak through your moans are practically incoherent, too fucked out to be fully understood.
His big balls heavily slam against your cunt, and you feel yourself squeeze him one last time before you gush all over his dick.
“Daddy!”
Mingyu lets out a choked groan, hips pistoning his throbbing cock into you desperately. His thrusts turn sloppy as he chases his orgasm.
It's not long before he's stilling inside you, hot cum spilling into your cunt. His cock twitches with every thick rope of cum that paints your walls white. “That's it, baby girl. Take all of daddy's cum.”
When your body relaxes against the shoft sheets, Mingyu is quick to turn you over. He presses a soft kiss to your lips before he caresses your cheek.
“We're not done yet, baby. The night is still young.”
You bite your lip, knowing it's going to be a long night. You don't mind since you fully plan to make up for all the lost time between you two.

Mingyu stares at the ceiling, trying not to think about how he's already painfully hard so early in the morning. It doesn't help that you look like a literal goddess sleeping next to him. So fucking pretty, still naked from when he fucked you only hours before.
“Baby.” He breathed out gently, giving you the softest smile when your eyes slowly opened.
You hum, gently pulling him against you to kiss him deeply. Mingyu moaned into your mouth, the feeling of your soft body pressed against him turning him on more than ever. He trails wet kisses down your sated body until he reaches your thighs. Mingyu presses gentle kisses over the marks he left last night, loving that your skin was branded by him.
“Gyu...” you murmur, wearily caressing the head between your legs.
“Just lay there and let daddy take care of you, baby girl.”
Mingyu loves how wet you always get for him, your sweet slick already coating your inner thighs. It's the most delicious thing he's ever tasted, and he's reminded of it when he shoves his face into your sopping cunt. He moans against you, messily sucking your puffy clit into his mouth to taste more of you. It's so fucking hot the way he mouths at your pussy, licking between your folds like he can't get enough.
“Feels so good, daddy!” You moan as you arch your back, grinding your hips into his face roughly.
Mingyu runs his tongue down your slit and fucking his tongue into you until your head is thrown back against your pillow with a broken moan.
“You're so sweet, baby.” He growls into your pussy.
“Oh, fuck.” You whimper loudly as he dips his tongue inside you, leaving you a quivering mess. “Want to come, daddy. Please.”
Mingyu groans against you, the sound rumbling deep in his throat. “Such a good girl for daddy. You can come as many times as you want, baby.”
Then, he licks a stripe up your clenching little hole until he's latched on to the sensitive nub. He sucks, hard, loving how you cry out for him. Mingyu drinks up every last bit of your orgasm, lapping at your juices with an ardent enthusiasm that leaves you drunk with bliss. He doesn't stop, tongue still working over your sloppy pussy to fuck you through your orgasm.
At some point you had shut your eyes, and you open them when you feel his thick thumb push past the opening of your wet cunt. It's not long before it's replaced with the fat tip of his cock. Mingyu groans at the first press into your warm, wet heat.
“Fuck, baby.” He grunts under his breath. “How are you still so fucking tight?”
Your snug little hole clenches around him, causing the slow movement of his hips to stutter. His fingers dug into your hips as he tried to tamp down the urge to fuck you rough and deep. Mingyu knows that he wore you out after last night—the small bites across your chest and thighs evidence of how well he ruined you. But, fuck. You're so damn tempting to him that he's stuck on what to do.
Then he feels it—you clenching around him. “Just fuck me already, daddy.”
Powerless to your demand, Mingyu holds you down against the mattress and start to fuck his cock into your tight walks. He's unable to tear his gaze away from the way your hot cunt is sucking him in.
“So hungry for this cock, aren't you, baby?” Mingyu moans as he starts pounding into you.
“Oh, fuck!”
“That's it, angel. Cream all over my cock.”
The slapping wet sounds echo in the room, and you can only lay there as Mingyu pounds into you. His deep thrusts have you quivering as your tight walls try to suck him in deeper. When he hits the tender spot inside you, your pretty little mouth falls open in a silent scream. Mingyu wishes he would take a picture of how pretty you look, all fucked out on his cock.
After a few more thrusts, you're coming undone, getting Mingyu's cock wet with all your slick. He keeps fucking you until his hot seed filling your insides.
Mingyu collapses beside you and pulls you into his arms. As you lay against him, he can't help but think that he wants this forever. He doesn't know how you feel about marriage, but he intends to find out. Because if you're willing, he'll share every bit of his life with you forever.

There was only one time Seungkwan came close to crossing the line to ask about something that wasn't his business. Very uncharacteristically, Mingyu had brought him along to get his opinion on some jewelry. He was torn between two diamond necklaces and ended up buying both.
Mingyu wasn't the type to spontaneously cherish anyone without reason, but seeing you wearing those million-dollar pieces made him think that he truly didn't know his boss at all. Is it really love? That's what he almost asked.
It was a question that answered itself as time went on.
His boss was so besotted with you that it seemed like you could do no wrong in his eyes. The expensive gift giving and leaving work early was something he believed Mingyu incapable of doing. It even got to the point where he never even cared that you showed up to his office without any notice. In fact, on the days you happened to show up, Seungkwan was always allowed to leave early.
That's why, when he saw you approaching, he let out a quiet sigh of relief. Mingyu had been working him to the bone all day, and now it seemed like he finally had an out. Seungkwan eagerly motioned for you to go into his boss's office after you stopped to say hello to him. The sooner you worked your magic, the sooner he would be allowed to leave.
Mingyu always looked so hot when he was working. The way his jaw was clenched in concentration with his sleeves rolled up to reveal his muscular forearms made a carnal heat settle in your stomach. It got worse when he looked up and directed his beautiful smile at you.
“Baby.” The pet name falls so easily from his lips as he leans back against his chair, legs spread widely.
You cross the room until you were standing directly in front of Mingyu. He was looking up at you with a small smirk, already knowing why you came to see him. Wrapping his strong arm around your legs, just beneath your ass, he gently pulled you on to his lap. You bit your lip, loving the feeling of his muscular body pressed against yours.
“I missed you.” You murmured as you caressed his broad chest. “When are you going to get off work?”
Mingyu gently caressed your bare thighs, loving how you always wore the shortest skirts when you came to see him. “Soon, baby—I promise. I'll even take you out to that new restaurant you've been wanting to try after I'm done.”
You bit your bottom lip gently before you gently nuzzled against his cheek. "Really?"
Mingyu lets out a little laugh. “Yes. Really.”
As if you didn't know he would do anything to please you. It's cute, though. The way you still act surprised when he gives you everything you ask for (and even the things you don't ask for).
“But, daddy.” You whisper against his ear. “I'm hungry now.”
When you pull back, you feel wetness pool between your legs at the sight of his dark eyes. You moan gently when he smashes his lips on yours, his kiss desperate and rough. It's like your arms have a mind of their own as they slide up his chest and wrap around Mingyu's neck to pull him closer. You tug on the ends of his hair when his tongue slips into your mouth.
Mingyu is already rock hard when he slips his hands under your skirt to grab a handful of your ass. He gently kneads your skin, letting out a low groan after he realizes that you're wearing a thong. With a quiet growl, Mingyu pulls you closer so your pussy rubs against his covered cock.
“Fuck, baby girl.” He groans when he pulls away from your sweet lips. “Look how fucking hard you made me.”
You squirm in his lap when he rubs your ass before slapping it once with his large hand. Mingyu smirks when he feels you grind against him, attempting to relieve the ache in your dripping pussy. He loves how desperate you are for his cock, but lately he's been enjoying teasing you until you're begging for him to fuck you.
When Mingyu effortlessly picks you up and sets you on his desk, your cunt clenches involuntarily. Fuck. You would never get over his strength and how much of a turn on it was. His large hand slowly pushed your skirt up to reveal your sexy underwear. Mingyu groans when he sees that you've already soaked through your black panties that are now sticking to your cunt. He spreads your legs, cock twitching at the mouth-watering sight in front of him.
The kisses he trails of your inner thighs are wet, and you whine impatiently when he nips at them teasingly. Mingyu smirks against your skin, loving just how desperate you were becoming. You let out a satisfied moan when his fingers rubbed at your clothed cunt, hips grinding to find the friction you craved.
Impatiently, he tugs at your panties until he literally rips them off of you. Mingyu gives your thigh a teasing nip when he sees the dissatisfied pout you're giving him. He leans forward, until you can feel his hot breath on your soaking cunt. “I'll buy you new ones—prettier ones.”
Before you can ask what he meant by prettier, Mingyu licks a long stripe up your quivering cunt. His large hands hold your thighs open as he starts to feast on you. The lewd sounds of his messy movements make your cunt clench sporadically. With a smirk, Mingyu's thick fingers start to tease your leaking entrance.
“Daddy.” You moan softly.
Mingyu hums into your cunt, flicking your sensitive bud with his tongue. He slips two fingers inside you, slowly fucking you closer to your orgasm. Your eyes roll back when he starts thrusting his fingers into you at an unrelenting pace. “Fuh-Fuck, daddy!”
The coil in your stomach tightens when Mingyu reaches the spot inside you that makes you see stars. Your whines get louder when you gush all over Mingyu's tongue, hands gripping and pulling at his styled hair roughly.
Mingyu lifts his face from your cunt and licks his lips. “So sweet.”
Mingyu stands up, and you notice that sometime while he was fucking you with his tongue, he had pulled his cock out. You salivate at the sight of his long, veiny dick standing tall and proud. A quiet moan tumbles past your lips when Mingyu pulls you closer. The tip of his cock teases your entrance, making pout.
“Don't tease, daddy.”
Mingyu only smirks at you, purposely rubbing his tip between your folds. “Tsk. Tsk.” He tuts. “Only good girls get rewarded.”
He's moving his hips at a painfully slow pace, gently fucking the head of his dick between your dripping lips. You mewl softly at the feeling of his hot cock rubbing against your wet cunt. Mingyu latches his mouth on your sweaty neck, kissing and biting at the skin. He feels like he could come just by hearing your pretty moans.
“Fuck, daddy. Please...” you beg pathetically, grinding your hips against his dick.
“Please what?”
He's so cruel, but you're to eager to have him fuck you until you couldn't walk anymore. So you muster all your focus on giving him what he wanted.
“Please fuck me!”
Mingyu smashes his lips against yours as he shoves his cock inside you with one powerful thrust. You cry out into his mouth, loving the feeling of him stretching you out. Mingyu loves the way your warm pussy is squeezing him, coating him with your cream.
When he pulls back, you see something feral in his eyes when he glances down at the way you're connected. Mingyu roughly grabs your hips and starts thrusting his dick into your warm cunt. The slick slapping sound fills the room, and you can't contain the whimpers and moans that spill out of you.
“You have to be quiet, baby. Or do you want the entire building to know how good I fuck you?”
Somehow, the laugh he lets out when you mindlessly nod at his words is still cute to your ears. You feel delirious, especially when Mingyu's cock hits the sweet spot inside you.
“Daddy!” You moan into his ear as you come on him, juices spilling out of you and on to his desk.
Your legs are shaking violently, and you barely seem lucid, but Mingyu keeps ramming his dick into you. He loves that fucked out expression on your face, so he pushes you to cum again, whispering how he wants you to make a mess on his cock. His fingers slip down to your wet pussy, making you cry out at the overstimulation. But you can't get enough of his thick cock ramming into you.
Mingyu groans as you two come together, his thick seed spilling into you and mixing with your own release. He grinds into you a few more times before he pulls out, watching his cum drip out of you slowly. It makes his cock twitch, and in the next second he's sitting back on his chair and pulling you into his lap.
You don't hesitate to make yourself comfortable on his wide lap, his thick cock already back inside you. A carnal heat starts to consume you when he grabs your ass and starts grinding you down on his dick.
“Fuck, baby.” Mingyu moans. “I'll never get enough of you.”
Your face is shoved in his neck as you feel him throb inside you, aching cock desperate for release. Mingyu grins as he keeps fucking you into his cock. You might be a spoiled brat, but there's nothing you love more than fucking yourself on his cock. It won't be long before you start moving on your own.
With a choked moan, you pull away from his neck and place your arms on Mingyu's broad shoulders. You gyrate your hips, clamping down on him like a vice. Finally, you lift your hips and slam back down on him. The squelching sound of your sopping cunt is music to your ears when you start bouncing on his cock. At this angle he's making you see stars, and you can only mewl incoherently as you lose yourself to the delicious stretch his dick provides.
“Fuck. Look at my pretty angel. Fucking my cock so good.”
Your eyes are rolled to the back of your head as you move faster, eager to get you both to reach that high. After you let out a particularly loud moan, a primal urge overcomes Mingyu. His grip on your ass tightens and he's suddenly thrusting up into you, fucking you like a mad man. His heavy balls are slapping against your ass, and you’re leaking all over his chair from how good he's fucking you.
“Come for daddy, baby.”
That's all it takes for you to cream his cock with your release, cunt clenching down on him so tightly that he can't even move. You're so fucked out that you barely feel his hot cum filling you up again.
You knew, though. That he wasn't done with you yet.

Seungkwan doesn't know what to do when Mingyu asks him to accompany him to the jewelry shop. It's not like it's the first time, but this time his boss is looking for a ring. Part of him feels like maybe he's present for a moment that was far too intimate for him to witness. Then, Seungkwan realizes he's only there because Mingyu wants him to find out what kind of style you wanted and your preferred size.
It's only when they're out of the store and on the way to pick you up from class that he belatedly realized things between you and his boss are more serious than he originally thought.
They're a bit late in picking you up, and because of that they find you talking to a very attractive guy. Looking through the rear view mirror, Seungkwan sees Mingyu's eyes sharpen just the tiniest bit. It makes him gulp, knowing that one false action could make him end up facing his boss's wrath. So he quietly watches as Mingyu pulls out his phone and quickly puts it to his ear.
To Seungkwan's silent relief, you answer right away when you see who's calling you. It takes you less than a second to answer before skipping over to the awaiting car.
“Who was that?” Mingyu asks casually as you slip your arms around his muscular one.
Seungkwan has worked for him long enough to recognize that tone, and either you're oblivious to it or you don't care. He wishes he had the same capability.
“That's Jeonghan. He's in one of my classes.”
Mingyu's eyes darken at the familiar name, and Seungkwan feels a chill go down his spine. There's definitely something there, but because he was painfully good at minding his own business, he only focuses on dropping you two off at Mingyu's penthouse.
You don't notice the way Mingyu is staring at you as you leisurely walk into the large living room. His eyes are dark as he eyes your too tight shorts that make your ass look so fucking good. Your crop top is one he bought you after seeing the way you looked at it on your trip to the mall, and he can't help but think maybe he needs to get you hundreds more to wear for him.
“Are you close with Jeonghan?”
His own question surprises him, but you don't seem fazed as you collapse on to his large couch. Your ass is on full display, and Mingyu wonders if you even know what you're doing to him
“Not really.” You murmured.
He raises and eyebrow as he stalks toward you like a predator would do to its prey. Mingyu crawls on the couch until he's right between your legs. His cock is already straining against his pants, but you don't even turn around to look at him.
Mingyu slowly trails his hands up your legs until he's caressing the back of your thighs. “Is that right? It seemed like you two had a lot to talk about.”
You hummed, loving the feeling of his strong hands on you. “It was nothing important.”
Somehow, Mingyu doesn't believe that. And before he can think rationally, he's already pulling off your shorts. You let him (like always), and he immediately rips off the lacy panties you're wearing. A shocked gasp leaves you, snapping your head back in anger. It's quickly tampered down when you see the look Mingyu has on his face.
“Baby girl,” his voice comes out low and sounds almost like a growl. It makes you get wet instantly. “You know daddy doesn't like it when you lie to him.”
You give him a soft pout. “I'm telling you the truth.”
His large hand comes down on your ass swiftly, leaving behind a stinging pain. You yell out, feeling more wetness pool between your thighs.
“I'm going to give you one last chance to tell me what that boy said to you.”
Sick as it was, you loved it when Mingyu fucked you while he was angry. So you bit your lip and rested your head on your forearms. It takes everything in you not to wiggle your ass at him. It's always better when you act coy, like you have no idea what's going on.
“He didn't say anything.” Your voice comes out bratty and whiny.
It makes something in Mingyu snap. He spanks you again, then again, and again. The pain burns deliciously, and your eyes roll to the back of your skull when he keeps spanking you. It's only when you subtly try to rub your thigh together that he realizes your choked whimpers are ones of pleasure. He grips your ass cheeks and spreads them open, just barely containing the groan in the base of his throat when he sees that you're literally dripping.
Mingyu doesn't hesitate to rip his clothes off and tease your aching pussy with dick. When he shoved himself in with a brutal thrust, you moan out. It vaguely occurs to you that he never preps you in certain occasions, and now you know why he doesn't. You grin, clenching down on him. Mingyu was so fucking hot when he was jealous.
He starts fucking into you like a mad man, and you can only whimper at his savage like pace. The way his heavy balls slap against your quivering pussy makes you moan again.
“Are you going to tell me what he said, or do I have to fuck it out of you, baby?” His big hands are squeezing your ass as he roughly drags you back and forth on his cock.
You can't seem to answer him, not when his fat cock is hitting so deep inside you that it feels like he's in your stomach. He's mercilessly pounding into you like he hates you, and it's so fucking good.
Mingyu loves how you can't respond. He loves how he can leave you a blubbering mess only capable of babbling incoherent sentences. You're coating his dick with your sweet cream, and he groans when he feels your walls squeeze him tightly. He bits down on his lip and spanks your jiggling ass. “Answer me.”
The moan you let out is broken. “H-He... just asked if, ah, if I'm single.”
You don't think he can fuck you harder, but you're proven wrong after you tell him the truth. Mingyu is snapping his hips against you harder than before, driving his cock impossibly deeper. He groans loudly when your cunt spasms and clenches uncontrollably, your juices leaking out of you and coating his balls.
“I knew it.” He sounds feral. “That stupid boy thinks he's man enough to fuck you like you deserve.”
You whine when he abruptly pulls out of you and flips you over. His dark eyes has your arousal dripping out of you. Mingyu smashes his lips on yours, roughly biting your lip. You groan when he pulls away, coaxing him with your eyes.
“And how do I deserved to be fucked, daddy?”
Mingyu shoves his aching cock back inside you, forcing it as deep as it would go. You feel the thick veins dragging against your tight walls, making your insides with opaque wads of his precum until you're squelching every time he ploughs into you. The way your pretty pussy stretches over his hot dick leaves Mingyu a moaning mess.
You cry out when your orgasm suddenly washes over you. It's so intense that you swear that you actually see stars.
“Fuck, baby.” Mingyu groans. “If you keep squeezing me like that I'm gonna come.”
He's panting above you as he rolls his hips against yours, each thrust calculated and deep. To him, you couldn't look prettier than you do now—completely fucked out beneath him. Mingyu will never get sick of the way your lips are parted while letting out the sweetest moans, your eyes hazy from pleasure, warm cunt creaming around him.
“Can't help it, daddy.” You moan, voice airy from the pleasure he's bringing you. “No one can fuck me like you can.”
His smirk is unfairly attractive. “That's right, baby.” He punctuates his words with another harsh thrust into you, grinning when you mewl. “No one can fuck you like I can.”
Mingyu can tell you're barely lucid, already gone dumb on his cock. You manage to whimper out in ecstasy as you nod over again over again. He leans down a few inches so his nose brushes against yours, making you feel small beneath the broadness of his muscular body. “I'll fuck this pretty little cunt until I’m all you can think about.”
He's pounding into you so hard that his cock slips out of your messy cunt, sliding right up against your shining clit. Mingyu holds down your hips so the only thing you can fuck it the fat tip of his cock. It's kind of cruel, and he almost feels bad especially when you whine for him to put it back in, but he wants to see how raw and swollen your folds are, wants to know how much he turns you on.
At another one of your soft pleas, Mingyu finally relents and fucks his cock back into your cunt. His heavy balls slap against your ass, filling the room with lewd, wet sounds.
“Want your cum, daddy!” You moan, purposely clenching down on him.
As usual, he's a slave to your needs and releases inside you, not slowing the pace of his thrusts. You whimper and mewl as he fucks his hot cum deeper into you. Mingyu is so deep in your guts that you know he's ruined you for anyone else, claiming you as the mixture of your arousals froths and gathers at the swelling base of his cock. Anything that leaks out of your fluttering pussy quickly gets fucked back into your gushing insides and painted against your spongey spot the more Mingyu rolls his hips up to fuck you.
“Fuh-Fuck, daddy! I'm gonna come!” You whimper in his ear.
You throw your head back when his long fingers circle your puffy clit, coaxing you closer to the edge. Now your hips are rolling against his, loud and choked moans slipping out of you.
Mingyu's hips shift, and the tip of his cock start pounding your sweat spot over and over until your cunt is fluttering around him—sucking his pulsing cock in selfishly.
“Daddy—!” You moan is slightly cut off as your orgasm tears through you.
Mingyu fucks you through your orgasm, and you can't stop your pussy from squeezing down on him all over again. With a loud groan, he pounds into your creamy cunt again until he forces another orgasm out of you.
Your moans are louder than before as a white layer of your orgasm coats his cock. Mingyu comes with a loud moan of your name, loving the feeling of your sweet cunt milking him for everything he's got.
Mingyu keeps his dick inside you as he collapses next to you on the couch. He pulls one of your legs over his hip, pressing you impossibly close to him. The sweet feeling of his lips pressed against your temple is something you’ll never get tired of.
“I love you so fucking much.”
“I love you, too.” You hum against his chest.
It's silent for a moment until you speak up. "I was serious when I said it was nothing. That boy doesn't compare to you. No one ever will."
Mingyu holds you tighter, gently nuzzling into your hair. He thinks about the ring planning to buy and wonders if you'll like it. Honestly, it doesn't matter if you don't because he would go to the ends of the earth just to find you one that you loved.
Briefly, Mingyu thinks he might be addicted to the love you have for him. But it doesn’t matter because he knows your addicted to the love he has for you.

Nice to meet you
Tumblr media
Characters:
TFATWS Bucky Barnes x Reader
Summary:
The restaurant where Bucky always take Yori to eat with him is where you actually work. You've been watching and staring at him for quite some time now, but didn't have the courage to introduce yourself to him. But what happens when Yori asked Bucky to take you out?
Warning:
None
There they are again. You see two familiar faces entering the restaurant you are working at. You've been seeing this guy who is in his late 30s accompanied by an elderly for quite some time now. You don't know if they are father & son, or anything, but one thing's for sure, you like the guy. You like him even if you don't know what his name is, even if you have no idea who he is. His treatment to the elder guy is enough reason to like him.
No one is taking their table so you took the chance to finally have a closer look of the guy you've been liking for quite some time. Whenever they come, you are either busy with another table or assigned in the cashier. But this time, the opportunity is in front of you.
So you took it.
"Hi, ready to order?" you asked them casually, even if your stomach is getting butteflies inside it. Is this his effect to you? You don't know.
The older man stared at you and smiled, "Just call me Yori. I can guess you're calling me "old man" in your thoughts," he joked.
Yori's joke made you chuckle, "Okay, Yori, nice to meet you. I'm Y/N and I'll be your server for today," you said as you get the paper and pen on your pocket to get their orders, but still no luck from the man you've been eyeing, you still don't know what his name is, "What can I get you for your lunch?" you asked them, glancing at the man who's still busy looking at the menu.
"I'll have Fish and Chips, old man's been craving it since last night," Yori said looking at you. Good thing you were able to switch your eyes to Yori, but when he smiled at you, he must've seen you looking at the man beside him. Yori's smile made you somehow nervous.
You tried to act normal and turned to the man beside Yori, hoping that you would finally know his name by the end of this day.
"How 'bout you, Sir? What can..." you weren't able to finish your question for him when his eyes finally met yours. It was only a matter of time before you realized that this man has a gorgeous pair of blue eyes. You cleared your throat, "What can I get you?" you asked him, dismissing the thought of fantasizing about him.
"I'll just have Clam Chowder," he answers you as he handed you the menu, "Thank you."
"Would you care for anything to drink, then?" you grabbed the menu from his hand, "You should..."
"You should ask her out," Yori said to the guy beside him, making your eyes widened in surprise.
His reaction was same as yours, he's almost embarassed to what Yori just said. Your cheeks are burning red in your guess, but you tried to be as professional as possible. One more thing, you don't want the guy to think that you're into him, that'll make things more awkward as it is now.
"Yori," the man glared at Yori before he moved his eyes back to you, "I'm sorry, he's just really like this from time to time."
You are already getting tired of calling him "guy" or "man." You've been wanting to know his name but God knows how?
"It's fine," you replied then you prepare yourself to leave, "If there's anything you need from me, just let me know. Thank you."
"His name is James," Yori said as you turn your back on them, but you pretended that you did not hear it since you're already inches away from them.
Now, you finally know what his name is.
•••
When their order is finally ready, you took a deep breath before heading your way to their table. Things are more awkward now. You wished that you weren't their server so you'll just get to watch and like him from afar. Not like this.
"Here's your order," you tried your best to smile from ear to ear, even though you're feeling embarassed and a bit awkward already. You put down their orders and once you're done you told them to enjoy their meal.
"So what's a pretty lady like you doing here?" Yori asked you.
Oh, great, small talk, you thought.
You badly want to go back inside the kitchen and start serving other customers but you remembered what your manager told you when the customers make a small talk with you — answer them and interact with them, that way they'll have the will to come back.
"I'm just saving up money to start my own business," you answered Yori.
You could see in your peripheral that James is looking at you. As much as you want to know what kind of look he's giving you, you fight that idea.
"I like business-minded people. They are the best in organization and handling things," he complimented. "You got a boyfriend?" he asked you another question.
You shook your head and smile, "No, I don't. I guess that's the downside of being a business-minded, no one dares to date you," you joked.
"I think I'll take that dare."
Your eyes traveled to James who suddenly spoke.
"I'm sorry, you're what?" you asked him.
"You think no one dares to date business-minded woman? I'll tell you, what," he smiles at you, "I like accepting dares."
Is he asking you out?
"Just in case you're puzzled with his words," Yori joined the conversation again, making you look his way again, "He's asking you out."
"Really?" you asked Yori.
Your eyes moved back to James and the way he stares at you makes your heart skip a beat, countless times. Your fingers gripped on the tray you're holding, trying to contain your happiness.
"What time's the end of your shift?" he asked.
You gulped, "I'm out by 6."
"Great, I'll come back at 6 to pick you up, then," he extended his hand towards you, "I'm James Barnes, but call me Bucky."
You reached for his hand, "Nice to meet you, Bucky. I'm Y/N." The touch of his soft hand on yours answers all your untold questions about him.
Ever since you saw him, you kept on asking yourself what it feels like to be his girl, what it feels like to be hugged by him, what if feels like to hold hands with him, and what if feels like to be kissed by his lips. But now, the touch of his hand on yours and the fact that you two have a date later is more than enough.
•••
When he said he's gonna be at your workplace at 6, he meant he's gonna be 30 minutes early. You asked him to sit down on one of the vacant tables, when he did, he handed you the bouquet of flowers he's holding. You didn't want to conclude that it was meant for you, but when he handed it to you, your heart melted like an ice cream under the sun.
As you finished your shift, you and Bucky went on your way. He said he already had everything planned out, so he did not bother to ask you where you want to go. Well, that's how you like it anyway. You want to be surprised.
The two of you ended up in the nearby beach, before you settled down in the sand, you passed by some food stalls and that's where you and Bucky bought food and drinks for your date.
"I hope you like sunsets," he said as both of you sat down on the sand and started munching over the food you guys bought, "I should've asked you abour where you want to go, but..." he seemed a little nervous so you cut him off.
"I like it."
His eyes went to yours and now he's puzzled, "You like what in particular?" he asked.
You smiled, "I like all of these. I like sunsets. I like how you planned this night for us. I like it. I appreciate it." You handed him his drink, "I'm not expert in date ideas as well, so no worries."
He chuckled and that's the only time you noticed how cute he is when he laugh and smile, especially his cheeks reaching for his eyes.
"I haven't dated anyone in decades so that explains my old fashioned ways and ideas," you don't know what he means when he said he haven't dated in decades.
"What are you? A 80 year old man?" you joked.
"Actually a hundred and six."
You burst into laughter but his face remained serious, "You are so funny, Bucky." You sighed as you stare on the sunset in front of you, "You know, some of my classmates bullied me when I was in elementary 'cause they think I'm an old soul or something, so don't worry if someone thinks of you as an old-fashioned or something. It's not really bad."
He frowned, "Why did they bullied you?"
"Because they found out that I'm listening to The Beatles, Paul Anka, Frankie Valli, and not into Britney Spears or something trendy during our time," you explained. You took a deep breath once more, "I guess I just really prefer old and classic songs. I find them amusing and the words that they used in making them feels like they are really talking to you and your soul."
You could still remember back in the day, you asked your dad to bought you a vinyl because you were fascinated by it.
"So what's your favorite song?" Bucky asked you.
"Can't take my eyes off of you, it's really classic," you said before taking a sip from your drink. "That was also my parents' theme song when they got married," sadness took over you when you remembered your late parents, "That was also the song I sang for them during their funeral."
You felt Bucky's eyes on you.
You turn to him and nodded to his unsaid question, "I'm an orphan now. They died because of a car accident. And when they died I used to live with my grandma but she died ad well three years ago, that makes me independent from then on. That makes me alone and living my own life." You tried giving him a smile, "How about you? What are your favorites?" you changed the topic.
But even though you already changed the topic he did not let go of the fact that something changed in your mood when you talked about your parents.
"I know how hard it is to lose both of your parents. I felt them too," he reached for your hand, making you shiver, "But if they'd see you now, I'll bet they're proud of the woman you are now."
You looked down and smile, "Why do you even talk like you already know me?" you asked him. "You and I just met," you reminded him as you look back at him.
"We just met but I've seen you and how hard you work in that restaurant every single time I was there and every time I pass by it," he revealed.
All along you thought he doesn't know you exist, but he does. He's totally aware of your existence and he knows how hard worker you are.
"Don't feel bad for being alone and independent, 'cause you should be proud of yourself. You know how to take care of yourself without depending or relying your happiness to other people. Sometimes living alone isn't that bad, it will let you experience things that will taught you a lot of lessons in life," you felt he squeezed your hand, making your eyes travel to your and his hands holding together.
You learned from him that he's not related to Yori, they are just neighbors and he's just trying to help Yori as the latter is living on his own.
Once darkness consumed the sky, the two of you head back to your apartment, which is only a few blocks away from the place where you work. You asked him if he wants to have a cup of coffee, he said yes but before you guys could enter your apartment, he received a phone call. After he talked someone over the phone, he said he needed to go.
"Is everything alright?" you asked him concernly. You noticed the sudden change of his mood after he took the call.
He nodded, "Yeah, I'm fine. I'm sorry I need to go but I promise, I'll call you and text you." Both of you already exchanged numbers so you just got to wait when he will call and text you. But you said to yourself you're not gonna expect anything, "I had a wonderful time with you tonight and God knows I didn't want to end our date like this but I just got to go. It's call of duty."
You don't understand what he mean by call of duty but you have no other choice but to let him go.
"Take care, Bucky," that's all you could tell him.
You could tell in his reaction that he isn't happy with the answer he got from you.
Somehow, you are telling yourself to not expect anything from him. In that way, you won't get your hopes up and you won't end up getting hurt and disappointed. It's better that way.
You were about to close your door when his hand stopped you from doing so.
"Wha--"
Before you could say a word, he walked towards you and closed the space between the two of you as he leaned in to claim your lips.
The sweet taste of his lips makes your knees weak, but his arms rescued you and gently pinned you against the door. It's not long before you kissed him back and enjoy the taste of his lips.
Last night you dreamed of meeting him, of knowing him, and tonight, you'll be sleeping peacefully as you get satisfaction of meeting him, having a date with him, and getting the chance to kiss him. What a progress in a day.
When you heard your neighbor coming out the other door, you pulled away from your kiss.
You and Bucky stared at each other while waiting for your neighbor to evaporate.
Once your neighbor is gone, he kissed your lips one more time. When he pulled away, he smiled at you, "That's the first time I kissed a woman in decades, so if it's that bad, give me the consideration," he joked.
"No," you shook your head, "No one ever kissed me that good before."
His smile grew wider as he gave your cheeks a caress, "I'll see you when I get back."
"Don't promise anything to me, Bucky. Just do it," you said before entering your apartment and closing your door.
Like what you said, you will not expect anything for the coming days or even weeks. You won't do anything about it. You won't get your hopes up and wait for his move, it's up to him whether he'll call you or not. But a little part of you hope that he will.
A little hope wouldn't hurt anyway.

The Unknown Muggleborn - Chapter 11
Series Masterlist
Main Masterlist
Tumblr media
3rd Person POV
This can't get any worse, (Y/n) thinks as Filch drags her down to Professor McGonagall's study on the first floor. What the (H/C) haired girl didn't know, was that Harry and Hermione - still under the Invisibity Cloak - had followed the two.
There's no reason on earth that Professor McGonagall will accept being out of bed and creeping around the school in the dead of night, let alone being up the tallest Astronomy Tower, which was out-of-bounds except for classes, (Y/n) thinks miserably.
When Professor McGonagall appears, she looked more likely to breathe fire than Norbert as she towers over (Y/n).
"I would never have believed it of you. Mr. Filch says you were up in the Astronomy Tower. It's one o'clock in the morning. Explain yourself," McGonagall orders.
(Y/n) sits still, her emerald eyes flicking sadly for a moment, and Harry and Hermione exchange a look under the Cloak. Then - to Harry and Hermione's astonishment - (Y/n) speaks.
"I was helping Hagrid," (Y/n) says softly, and McGonagall's expression changes to something (Y/n) couldn't read. "Hagrid had a baby dragon. I didn't want him to get in trouble, so I sent a letter to someone who cares for dragons so they would take him. I just had to get the dragon to the Astronomy Tower."
"Miss (L/n), though you had good intentions for helping a friend, it was unacceptable to be walking around the school at night, especially these days, it's very dangerous - a hundred points will be taken from Gryffindor."
(Y/n)'s face seems to fall even more and Harry and Hermione exchange another look from under the cloak.
"Now, get back to bed," McGonagall says, her voice softening at the expression on (Y/n)'s face.
(Y/n) nods and walks out of the office and silently up to Gryffindor Tower, Harry and Hermione close behind their friend.
The Portrait Hole opens and (Y/n) walks straight up the stairs to her dorm.
Marvel looks up at her companion, and curls up with her friend.
(Y/n) didn't sleep all night, dreading the dawn. What would happen when the rest of Gryffindor found out what she had done?
At first, Gryffindors passing the giant hourglasses that recorded the House points the next day thought there'd been a mistake. How could they suddenly be a hundred points fewer than yesterday?
And then the story starts to spread: (Y/n) (L/n), friend to the famous Harry Potter, their hero of two Quidditch matches, had lost them all the house points, in one night.
From being one of the most popular and admired people at the school, (Y/n) was suddenly one of the most hated. Even the Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs turned on her, because everyone had been longing to see Slytherin lose the House Cup. Everywhere (Y/n) went, people point and don't bother to lower their voices as they insult her. Slytherins, on the other hand, clap as she walks past them, whistling and cheering, "Thanks (L/n), we owe you one."
Only Ron, Harry, Hermione and the Weasley Twins stood by her.
"They'll all forget this in a few weeks," Ron says soothingly on morning at breakfast as every sends (Y/n) hostile glares. "Fred and George have lost loads of points in all the time they've been here, and people still like them."
"But they haven't lost a hundred points in one go, though, have they?" asks (Y/n) miserably as someone loudly asks Harry why he was friends with the 'rubbish Gryffindor Mudblood.'
"Well - no," Ron admits.
It is a bit late to repair the damage, but Harry swore to himself not to meddle in things that weren't his business from no on, coming to the conclusion that (Y/n) receiving all the hate was his fault for forgetting the cloak at the top of the tower. He'd had it with sneaking around and spying.
(Y/n) felt so ashamed of herself that she had went to Oliver Wood and offered to resign from the Quidditch team.
"Resign?" Wood thunders. "What good'll that do? How are we going to get any points back if we can't win at Quidditch?"
But even Quidditch had lost its fun. The rest of the team - excluding Harry, George, and Fred - wouldn't speak to her, and if they had to speak about her, they called her 'the Seeker.'
Hermione was suffering too, just because she was (Y/n)'s sister, and no one would speak to her, either. Hermione and (Y/n) had stopped drawing attention to themselves in class, keeping their heads down and working in silence.
(Y/n) was actually glad that the exams weren't far away. All the studying she is doing keeping her away from her misery. (Y/n), Harry, Ron, and Hermione keep to themselves, working late into the night, trying to remember the ingredients in complicated potions, learn charms and spells by heart, memorize the dates of magical discoveries and goblin rebellions . . .
Then, about a week before the exams were due to start, Harry's new resolution not to interfere in anything that didn't concern him was put to an unexpected test. Walking back from the library on his own one afternoon, he hears somebody whimpering from a classroom up ahead. As he draws closer,he hears Quirrell's voice.
"No — no — not again, please —"
It sounds as though someone is threatening him. Harry moves closer.
"All right — all right —" he hears Quirrell sob.
Next second, Quirrell comes hurrying out of the classroom straightening his turban. He is pale and looks as though he was about to cry. He strides out of sight; Harry didn't think Quirrell had even noticed him. He waits until Quirrell's footsteps had disappeared, then peers into the classroom. It is empty, but a door stands ajar at the other end. Harry is halfway toward it before he remembers what he'd promised himself about not meddling.
All the same, he'd have gambled twelve Sorcerer's Stones that Snape had just left the room, and from what Harry had just heard, Snape would be walking with a new spring in his step — Quirrell seemed to have given in at last.
Harry goes back to the library, where Hermione is testing Ron on Astronomy, (Y/n) buried in her extra complicated - at least to Harry and Ron - Potions notes, Harry tells them what he'd heard.
"Snape's done it, then!" says Ron. "If Quirrell's told time how to break his Anti-Dark Force spell -"
"There's still Fluffy though," Hermione reasons.
"Maybe Snape's found out how to get past him without asking Hagrid," Harry says, looking around at the thousands of books surrounding them.
"I bet there's a book somewhere in here telling you how to get past a three-headed dog," Ron adds. "So what do we do, Harry?" The light of adventure is kindling again in Ron's eyes, but Hermione answers before Harry can.
"Go to Dumbledore. That's what we should have done ages ago. If we try anything ourselves we'll be thrown out for sure."
"But we've got no proof!" says Harry. "Quirrell's too scared to back us up. Snape's only got to say he doesn't know how the troll got in at Halloween and that he was nowhere near the third floor — who do you think they'll believe, him or us? It's not exactly a secret we hate him, Dumbledore'll think we made it up to get him sacked. Filch wouldn't help us if his life depended on it, he's too friendly with Snape, and the more students get thrown out, the better, he'll think. And don't forget, we're not supposed to know about the Stone or Fluffy. That'll take a lot of explaining."
Hermione looks convinced, but Ron doesn't.
"If we just do a bit of poking around -"
"No," (Y/n) speaks for what seems to be the first time in a week, "we've done enough poking around."
The following morning, a note is delivered to (Y/n) at the breakfast table:
Your detention will take place at eleven o'clock tonight.Meet Mr. Filch in the entrance hall.
Professor M. McGonagall
(Y/n) had forgotten she still had a detention to do in the furor over the points she'd lost.
At eleven o'clock that night, (Y/n) says goodbye to Harry, Ron, and Hermione and goes down to the entrance hall. Filch was already there - and so was Malfoy. (Y/n) had almost forgotten that Malfoy had gotten a detention, too.
"Follow me," says Filch, lighting a lamp and leading them outside. "I bet you'll think twice about breaking a school rule again, won't you, eh?" he says, leering at them. "Oh yes . . . hard work and pain are the best teachers if you ask me. . . . It's just a pity they let the old punishments die out . . . hang you by your wrists from the ceiling for a few days, I've got the chains still in my office, keep 'em well oiled in case they're ever needed. . . .Right, off we go, and don't think of running off, now, it'll be worse for you if you do."
They march off across the dark grounds. (Y/n) wonders what their punishment is going to be. It must be something really horrible, or Filch wouldn't be sounding so delighted. The moon is bright, but clouds scudding across it keep throwing them into darkness. Ahead, (Y/n) can see the lighted windows of Hagrid's hut. Then they hear a distant shout.
"Is that you, Filch? Hurry up, I want ter get started."
(Y/n)'s heart rises; if they are going to be working with Hagrid, it wouldn't be so bad. Her relief must have shown on her face, because Filch says, "I suppose you think you'll be enjoying yourself with that oaf? Well, think again, girl — it's into the forest you're going and I'm much mistaken if you'll all come out in one piece.
At this, Malfoy stops dead in his tracks."The forest?" he repeats, and he doesn't sound as cool as usual. "We can't go in there at night - there's all sorts of things in there - werewolves, I heard."
"That's your problem, isn't it?" says Filch, his voice cracking with glee."Should've thought of them werewolves before you got in trouble, shouldn't you?"
Hagrid comes striding towards them out of the dark, Fang at his heel. He is carrying his large crossbow, and a quiver of arrows hangs over his shoulder. "Abou' time," he says. "I bin waitin' fer half an hour already. All right, (Y/n)?"
"I shouldn't be too friendly to them, Hagrid," says Filch coldly, "they're here to be punished, after all."
"That's why yer late, is it?" says Hagrid, frowning at Filch. "Bin lecturin' them, eh? 'Snot your place ter do that. Yeh've done yer bit, I'll take over from here."
"I'll be back at dawn," says Filch, "for what's left of them," he adds nastily, and he turns and starts back toward the castle, his lamp bobbing away in the darkness.
Malfoy now turns to Hagrid. "I'm not going in that forest," he says, and (Y/n) feels a little pleased to hear the note of panic in his voice.
"Yeh are if yeh want ter stay at Hogwarts," says Hagrid fiercely. "Yeh've done wrong an' now yeh've got ter pay fer it."
"But this is servant stuff, it's not for students to do. I thought we'd be copying lines or something, if my father knew I was doing this, he'd —"
"— tell yer that's how it is at Hogwarts," Hagrid growls. "Copyin' lines! What good's that ter anyone? Yeh'll do summat useful or yeh'll get out. If yeh think yer father'd rather you were expelled, then get back off ter the castle an' pack. Go on!"
Malfoy doesn't move. He looks at Hagrid furiously, but then drops his gaze.
"Right then," says Hagrid, "now, listen carefully, 'cause it's dangerous what we're gonna do tonight, an' I don' want no one takin' risks. Follow me over here a moment."
He leads them to the very edge of the forest. Holding his lamp up high, he points down a narrow, winding earth track that disappears into the thick black trees. A light breeze lifts their hair as they look into the forest.
"Look there," said Hagrid, "see that stuff shinin' on the ground? Silvery stuff? That's unicorn blood. There's a unicorn in there bin hurt badly by summat. This is the second time in a week. I found one dead last Wednesday. We're gonna try an' find the poor thing. We might have ter put it out of its misery."
"And what if whatever hurt the unicorn finds us first?" asks Malfoy, unable to keep the fear out of his voice
"There's nothin' that lives in the forest that'll hurt yeh if yer with me or Fang," says Hagrid. "An' keep ter the path. Right, now, we're gonna split inter two parties an' follow the trail in diff'rent directions. There's blood allover the place, it must've bin staggerin' around since last night at least."
"So me and Mafoy'll go one way an' (Y/n) an' Fang'll go the other, I know yer good with spells and such (Y/n). Now, if any of us finds the unicorn, we'll send up green sparks, right? Get yer wands out an' practice now -that's it - an' if anyone gets in trouble, send up red sparks, an' we'll all come an' find yeh - so, be careful - let's go."
The forest is black and silent. A little way into it they reach a fork in the earthy path, and Malfoy and Hagrid take the left path while (Y/n) and Fang take the right.
(Y/n) lights up the tip of her wand, walking in silence, her eyes trained on the ground. Every now and then, a ray of moonlight through the branches above lights up a spot of silver-blue blood on the fallen leaves.
After about an hour, (Y/n) walks through the forest with Fang. They walk for about half-an-hour more, deeper and deeper into the forest, until the path becomes almost impossible to follow because the trees are so thick. (Y/n) thinks that the blood seems to be getting thicker. There are splashes on the roots of a tree, as though the poor creature had been thrashing around in pain close by. (Y/n) can see a clearing ahead, through the tangled branches of an ancient oak.
Something bright white is gleaming on the ground and (Y/n) inches closer.
That's definitely the unicorn, (Y/n) thinks, and it's dead. She had never seen anything so beautiful and sad. Its long, slender legs are sticking out at odd angles where it had fallen and its mane is spread pearly-white on the dark leaves.
(Y/n) takes one step towards it when a slithering sound makes her freeze where she stands. A bush on the edge of the clearing quivers . . . Then, out of the shadows, a hooded figure comes crawling across the ground like some stalking beast. (Y/n) and fang stand, transfixed. The cloaked figure reaches the unicorn, lowers its head over the wound in the animal's side, and begins to drink its blood.
Fang lets out a howl and bolts. The hooded figure raises its head and looks right at (Y/n) - unicorn blood dribbling down its front. It gets to its feet and comes swiftly towards (Y/n) and she scrambles back.
Then a pain like she'd never felt before seems to pierce her whole left side. It feels as thought her scar was on fire and she claps her hand to it.
Through the pain, she lifts her wand but then she hears hooves behind her, galloping, and something jumped clean over (Y/n), charging at the figure.
When (Y/n) looks up, the cloaked figure had gone, and a half human, half horse is standing over her. A centaur! (Y/n) realizes.
"Are you alright?" asks the centaur, pulling (Y/n) to her feet, though she hadn't remembered falling.
"Yes - thank you - what was that?"
The centaur doesn't answer. He had astonishingly blue eyes, like pale sapphires. He looks carefully at (Y/n) his eyes lingering at the collar of her shirt where half of her scar stands out, livid against (Y/n)'s skin.
"You are the (L/n) girl," he says. "You had better get back to Hagrid. The forest is not safe at this time - especially for you. Can you ride? It will be quicker this way. My name is Firenze," he adds as he lowers himself onto his front legs so (Y/n) can clamber onto his back, her wand still clutched in her right hand.
There is suddenly a sound of more galloping from the other side of the clearing. Two other centaurs come bursting through the trees, their flanks heaving and sweaty.
"Firenze!" one thunders. "What are you doing? You have a human on your back! Have you no shame? Are you a common mule?"
"Do you realize who this is Bane?" asks Firenze. "This is the (L/n) girl. The quicker she leaves this forest, the better."
"What have you been telling him?" growls Bane. "Remember, Firenze, we are sworn not to set ourselves against the heavens. Have we not read what is to come in the movements of the planets?"
The other centaur paws the ground nervously. "I'm sure Firenze though he was acting for the best," he says in a gloomy voice.
Bane kicks his back legs in anger. "For the best Ronan! What is that to do with us? Centaurs are concerned with what has been foretold! It is not our business to run around like donkeys after stray humans in our forest!"
Firenze suddenly rears on his hind legs in anger so that (Y/n) had to grab his shoulders to keep from sliding off the centaur's back. "Did you not see that unicorn?" Firenze bellows at Bane. "Do you not understand why it was killed? Or have the planets not let you in on that secret? I set myself against what is lurking in this forest, Bane, yes, with humans alongside me if I must.
And Firenze whisks around; with (Y/n) clutching on as best she can, they plunge off into the trees, leaving Ronan and Bane behind them.
(Y/n) didn't have a clue what was going on."Why's Bane so angry?" she asks. "What was that thing you saved me from, anyway?"
Firenze slows to a walk, warns (Y/n) to keep her head bowed in case of low-hanging branches, but does not answer her question. They make their way through the trees in silence for so long that (Y/n) began to think Firenze didn't want to talk to her anymore. They are passing through a particularly dense patch of trees, however, when Firenze suddenly stops.
"(Y/n) (L/n), do you know what unicorn blood is used for?"
"No," answers (Y/n), startled by the odd question. "We've only used the horn and tail hair in Potions."
"That is because it is monstrous thing, to slay a unicorn," says Firenze. "Only one who has nothing to lose, and everything to gain, would commit such a crime. The blood of a unicorn will keep you alive, even if you are an inch from death, but at a terrible price. You have slain something pure and defenseless to save yourself, and you will have but a half-life, a cursed life, from the moment the blood touches your lips."
(Y/n) stares at the back of Firenze's head, which is dappled silver in the moonlight.
"But who'd be that -" then (Y/n) trails off, coming to a sudden realization. "Do you mean," (Y/n) asks, her voice shaking slightly, "that was -"
"(Y/n)! (Y/n), are you alright?" Malfoy, Fang, and Hagrid were running towards them down the path.
"I'm fine," (Y/n) answers, not even knowing what she was saying. "The unicorn's dead, Hagrid, it's in that clearing back there."
"This is where I leave you," Firenze murmurs as Hagrid hurries off to examine the unicorn. "You are safe now."
(Y/n) slides off the centaur's back.
"Good luck, (Y/n) (L/n)," says Firenze. "The planets have been read wrongly before now, even by centaurs. I hope this is one of those times."
The centaur turns and canters back into the depths of the forest, leaving (Y/n) shivering behind him. Malfoy studies (Y/n) curiously, wondering what had happened in the with the usually strong willed girl.
Ron, Hermione, and Harry and fallen asleep in the dark common room, waiting for (Y/n) to return. Ron shouts something about Quidditch fouls when (Y/n) shakes the three awake.
In a matter of seconds, though, all three them are wide-eyed as (Y/n) began to tell them what had happened in the forest.
The green eyed girl couldn't sit down, she paces up and down in front of the fire, still shaking; Marvel's green eyes are following her owner she paces.
"Snape wants the Stone for Voldemort . . . and Voldemort's waiting in the forest . . . and all this time we thought Snape just wanted to get rich . . ." Harry rambles, his scar on his forehead prickling.
"Stop saying the name!" says Ron in a terrified whisper, as if he thought Voldemort could hear them.
"Firenze saved me, but he shouldn't have done so. . . . Bane was furious . . . he was talking about interfering with what the planets say is going to happen. . . . They must show that Voldemort's coming back. . . . Bane thinks Firenze should have let Voldemort kill me. . . . I suppose that's written in the stars as well," (Y/n) says.
"But why?!" asks Hermione, her voice shaking. "Why would he come after you?"
Everyone turns to (Y/n), as though she had an answer, and (Y/n) realized that she most definitely did.
The others watch as (Y/n) pulls down the collar of her shirt a little, and they stare at the scar - identical to Harry's - on her skin.
"A week before Christmas, I had a dream, well, not really a dream, more of a memory," (Y/n) begins, and tells her friends about the dream and Harry looks up into (Y/n)'s eyes.
"So you were on your way to my house?" Harry asks.
"Apparently," (Y/n) says.
"So all we've got to do now is wait for Snape to steal the Stone," Harry says feverishly, "then Voldemort will be able to come finish us off . . . Well, from what I heard, Bane'll be happy."
Hermione looks very frightened, but she had a word of comfort.
"Harry, (Y/n)," Hermione begins. "Everyone says Dumbledore's the only one You-Know-Who was ever afraid of. With Dumbledore around, You-Know-Who won't touch you. Anyway, who says the centaurs are right? It sounds like fortune-telling to me, and Professor McGonagall says that's a very imprecise branch of magic."
The sky had turned light before they stop talking. They go to bed exhausted, their throats sore.

Note
A few hours, two kisses, and one nap later, he begins plotting his escape. It mainly consists of signing a discharge form and then hunting down Cyrus. Then, he'll kill him. Fairly simple, and does provide a good distraction from the chaos his personal life has become. His business/mob life has been fairly normal, no new competitors yet.
"What are you planning?" Carly asks, looking up from the iPad she's probably planning Morgan's return from the dead party on.
"How long until I can get out of here?" Hospital rooms inspire him to run very far away from them. They keep him cooped up, they're boring as all hell, and there's really no choice as to who can walk in at any given time.
"Probably tomorrow," she answers and he groans. "It's not the end of the world, Jason. It's one more night in a hospital bed." Debatable. It's a whole twelve hours, minimum.
"Or I could just sign my discharge form now and break out of here."
"No, you need to stay at least for tonight. Break out tomorrow."
"I don't want to."
"Just let them monitor you. Sleep. You won't be able to do much out there anyways. I'm pretty sure the doctors are going to tell you to relax and take it easy, which means taking a short leave of absence. Brando can handle it for a few more days."
"There could be a takeover-"
"Not without any talk. Come on, if I thought there was any threat, I'd be breaking you out of here myself," she reminds him. "Take a nap."
"I'm not sure that's the best decision." Actually, it's more time that he'd be a suspect in Cyrus's murder (that, rest assured, he will commit) and more time Cyrus gets to breathe the same air as him. "Stop the thoughts about it being unsafe because you're not going to be able to do anything. You're recovering from surgeries and a gunshot wound."
"I'm perfectly capable of doing everything," he responds, fidgeting again with the stupid IV. He'll break that thing out of him if that's what it takes.
"I'm sure you are, but stop pouting. Sleep. Take a nap. Enjoy your break from reality for a day or two and just relax," Carly reasons. You know it's bad when Carly's being the reasonable one.
"This isn't pouting, it's captivity."
"No one's holding you captive."
"I'm being forced to be in a room against my will. This could be a hostage situation," he says dramatically.
"Well, as cute as your pouting is, you're spending the night. Take a nap. Enjoy it," she smiles. "Oh, and by the way, you're not killing Cyrus."
There's a lot to take in there but we'll start with the obvious: "I didn't even say I was planning on it."
She rolls her eyes, "You didn't have to, I can see the plan formulating in your mind. No murder. Cyrus will live for the rest of his miserable life in prison without you sending someone to rough him up or kill him."
Sometimes it's a shame how well she knows him. It genuinely sucks sometimes because she can read him like a book. No matter how successful he is at hiding everything from, well, pretty much everyone else, she just rolls her eyes and lets him know exactly what he's doing. Half the time, she knows before he does. The other half, she's informing him it's normal to express your emotions.
"I don't think he should even be able to walk around," he admits, struggling somewhat to voice the hatred he feels for the other mobster. "I've wanted to kill the guy for years, ever since I laid eyes on him. Going after you, kidnapping and raping you as some sort of sick revenge against me was the last straw."
"It was stupid to go after me and he'll pay. For the rest of his life, he'll be in prison. Solitary, you said. He can't run his business in solitary. Cyrus will never be able to hurt me or anyone else again," Carly says, grasping his hand and squeezing it. "He's a piece of shit. I look forward to the day he's in jail, serving his sentence. But it's probably going to be a few weeks."
"Which provides plenty of opportunity-"
"He lives. You're not going to jail because of him, Jason. Cyrus isn't worth it, alright? I don't care if he dies tomorrow. If you go to jail, I'll have to break you out of there myself and that probably won't go too well," she laughs at that. "So, save us all the paperwork and don't kill him. Besides, I confronted him."
She- confronted- "You did what? Carly, that is a man who could kill you and threatened to! He's very much capable of keeping that threat! Did you want to die?"
What inspired her to go confront her kidnapper/rapist? What made her think that was the sane thing to do while he was unconscious in a hospital bed?! She could've died and he can't have that happening because it'd be his fault. It's also such an ugly thought he can't stand to think of it. Carly cannot die.
"I brought guards, I threatened him, I yelled and screamed, I also cried for a while," she summarizes. "And to answer your question, I don't have a death wish. There's children I have to take care of and I'm not done complicating your life yet. I've got at least ten more years left in me."
"You confronted a man who could kill you."
"With guards, Jason."
"That doesn't make it okay! Carly, you can't act like there wasn't a good chance you could've died! You can't reason with people like Cyrus, you can't go in on your own."
"I. Brought. Guards."
"And they could've died too. He took out a whole group of them once, an entire warehouse of the Novak crew."
"You're acting like I didn't know what I was doing! I knew exactly what I was doing and it was either that or wonder if you'd live to tell me I'm being stupid again, Jason. Which choice would you have made?" Carly asks, tears building up in her eyes. No, he's mad, don't start crying. That'll make him sad. No crying, Carly, please don't. "I'm not so unknowledgeable when it comes to the business, you know."
"No, but you don't know how the business works. Things like that, impulsive things, they get people killed! They're the things that cause people to die and not the type you can come back from. You can't be doing things like that and pulling stunts like threatening Cyrus. He has nothing left to lose, which means he has everything to gain. If he can kill you, which is what he wants to do, that'll be a win for him and a final way to get back at me. That's what he wants and you're playing right into it." Jason exclaims. Emotional outbursts are rare for him, which probably made the point more clear. He hopes so. Losing her-
That's a thought almost too painful to bear thinking of.
"I was worried you would die! Jason, I couldn't spend another hour in this room or getting harassed by Sam. I needed to do something, make some statement," Carly argues and he shakes his head. Does she not get it? She could've died.
"And you couldn't go to work at the Metro Court? You had to go and confront a man who wants you dead almost as much as he wants me dead, Carly! It was stupid. You could've died."
"I was safe-"
"You don't get it! Doing that, no matter how many guards are there, isn't safe. I don't care if you had the place full with guards, he wants you six feet under and he wants me even further. What if he shot you? What if he hurt you? What if he killed you?" Emotions just seem to flow out of him like water does down a river at this point, anger and hurt and worry and sadness all combined into one.
"He didn't-"
"Not this time. Next time, he could. You could've gotten hurt or killed or shot at and I'm not going to be the reason for that."
"Well there won't be a next time."
"How can you be so sure about that, Carly? You don't control him. He's his own person; he does what he wants, exactly when he wants, exactly how he wants. And he could've hurt you."
"Every single time you agrees to one of those meetings with him or left to go, seemingly, anywhere, I thought the same thing. He's tried to get to you a million times. But you didn't die."
"I didn't die because I'm aware of the intricacies of the business! You're not and, as much as I'm grateful you're not, I can't have you running around picking fights with people who want you dead, who want me dead."
"Do you want a fake apology?" Carly snaps. "Do you want me to pretend like I didn't know that? I'm all too aware of the fact that everytime I leave the house, I could get shot at and die or that everytime I see you it might be the last time because of your line of work. I am intimately familiar with the anxieties of waiting in a hospital room to see if you're going to wake up or not from yet another injury. You're acting like it's my first day as someone who cares about people in your line of work and you're wrong. It's not. I knew damn well what I was doing and I know you would've done the same if they'd shot me."
Well. He didn't think of that. Anger sort of half drowns inside of him, flopping but still very much there at her beyond dumb move. "You're right. I would've killed him if he'd shot you or hurt you. But that doesn't make that you get to go out and pick fights with him because you're worried. It means you've got to be careful, stay in groups. It means-"
"Don't tell me what I should've done."
"What would you like me to do, congratulate you? Congratulations, Carly, you could've died! You could've died and if I woke up to that knowledge I don't know what I'd do."
"You'd keep surviving. Probably throw yourself into the business even more, to a point I don't think it'd be healthy." Carly shakily says, clearly having thought about it. "You'd tell Donna all about me when she started to forget I existed."
"You've thought of this?" Jason asks, incredulous. "You've thought about what I'd do if you died?"
"When we thought you were gone, I thought about what you would've done if roles were reversed."
There's a solid 20% chance she's pulling at his heartstrings right now to get sympathy and it's working. 100%. She could be completely playing him and he'd believe it at this point.
He hugs her as best as he can in the hospital bed. "I wasn't dead. You're not dead, thankfully. But you can't take risks with your life, not like that. Your kids need their mom. People need you. I'd miss you."
"How nice, I sobbed myself to sleep for weeks because you were gone and you'd miss me." Tugging at the heart, yet again.
"Oh come on, Carly. You know what I mean."
"Yeah, yeah I do."
It's a strange bond they've got (and a strange life he's got), but at least they can count on one thing: their friendship. Hence why kissing and stuff can't mean anything or complicate things. They've been in each other's lives so long, if they dated or something and it went south, he doesn't know if they could bounce back. And that's a terrifying thought, that they could be,,, not friends.
To be continued after I change my tampon and sleep because I'm fucking tired :)

Savannah & Jac
Savannah: Are you on your way here? Jac: I hadn't started to get ready yet Jac: got caught up doing some prep for our next lecture, haven't looked at the clock in a minute 🤯 whoops Savannah: well thank god, I was hoping to catch you before having to dramatically tell you to turn around, especially if you had happened to be half way to me Jac: Oh? Jac: What's going on in UH tonight? 😄 Savannah: Nothing, which is perhaps why we're the centre of attention Jac: 😬 Don't love the sound of that Jac: what's been said? Savannah: I'm not even sure because the way she was saying it gave me the most INTENSE Catholic school flashbacks Savannah: & I've overanalysed every syllable to the point that it's been twisted beyond recognition so I can't be trusted to reliably relay any of it Jac: Okay, pause Jac: who's being mean to you, and why on earth Jac: Is it that one girl in the next room along from you, because I did think she was someone's little sister so I can believe the immaturity Savannah: I think she was trying to be complimentary about us but I didn't take it like that, I can't, not after everything Jac: Baby Jac: just try to explain it best you can Jac: take your time, and I'll forgive any personal interjection Jac: because I care more about how it's made you feel, than how it was said or meant, really Savannah: she's made me feel like I'm doing this all wrong, exactly how I said I wouldn't, holding you back and being too much Jac: But you aren't at all Jac: what would she even know about it, she doesn't know either of us, even a little bit Savannah: maybe that unbiased outside perspective is what I needed to make me realise the mistakes I'm making Savannah: because it isn't just her, they're all talking about how you're ALWAYS here, how inseparable we are Jac: Do you feel like we're taking things too fast, being too much? Savannah: No Savannah: but I didn't last time either Jac: okay Jac: because you know you can tell me, if you are Jac: I mean, I don't know what to do with this information Jac: we don't judge them for their relationships Savannah: I was fine, but I'm scared now, obviously Jac: that we're like you and Tyler, or you and Milo Jac: or that we're repeating our past and it'll end badly again Savannah: that I can't have a relationship that isn't ridiculously co-dependent, except it's not even, because that implies that they were as extra as I was Savannah: & that I shouldn't have entered into this one if I haven't changed enough to avoid repeating things Jac: They balanced you out Jac: and I don't Savannah: they let me do whatever I wanted, that isn't what I want from you Jac: but if it's what we both want Jac: it's hard for me to think we should listen more to these girls, who are probably speaking at least from a bit of jealousy, than that Savannah: No, because it isn't what we both want, a healthy relationship is what we both want Jac: Yeah Jac: you're right, of course Jac: but, I don't like the implication that they know what works for us Jac: if we need to reevaluate, it can still be on our terms Jac: I bet lots of them have never had a serious relationship, or only the same level of unhealthy as we have before, they're not qualified Savannah: They don't know us or have any qualifications & I believe you're right about the jealousy factor but I am still willing to see & use this as the wake up call that I need to do better Jac: We can do that Jac: I trust you Jac: I'm not going to see this as you pulling away or something I've done Savannah: please don't, because it isn't Jac: It was my initial fear Jac: but you never leave me to worry Jac: and the fact that I immediately went there is just something I need to address too Savannah: you have reason to go there, it's okay Savannah: how I handled things back then is precisely what I'm trying to avoid Jac: I completely see that, I honestly do Jac: I'm sorry if I got defensive right there Savannah: & I can see that I've slightly overreacted now that I've slightly calmed down Jac: It made me feel the same Jac: like you said, the school flashbacks are no joke Savannah: I'm so sorry I told you not to come, I'd hate for you to think that's what I want, ever Jac: It's okay, we can take a night off Jac: but I'm also not gonna tell you you can't come to mine instead, once they've all gone back to their rooms or whatever Savannah: are you going to tell me what prep you were doing which I should've been instead of freaking out? Savannah: because I need to know Jac: Of course Jac: we haven't competed like that for a LONG time now Jac: it's not like we were asked but I asked [your fave prof bff 'cos lord knows I'm using the photos] on the way out last week if there was anything we could study up on ready for next term Savannah: once I've done everything he has suggested & fixed my 😢 face I'll come over Jac: My poor boo, I hate that they upset you so much Jac: also that we only have showers Jac: or I'd recommend a bubble bath as first order of business Savannah: honestly the lack of 🛀🏾🥂 upsets me more than anything Savannah: but in all seriousness, it wasn't even those girls at fault, I got myself worked up Jac: it is a travesty Jac: we need a place with an en-suite next year Jac: because the idea of sharing a bath with god knows who is no more appealing than NOT having one 😰 Jac: it's okay, I won't insist on being that stereotype and 'having a word' with them, they can live, for now Savannah: if checking into a hotel wouldn't be viewed as the ULTIMATE overreaction, I definitely would use the 💳 my dad insisted upon giving me Jac: I can only imagine the flashbacks that would give him 🙄 Jac: not worth the stress nor satisfaction Jac: though I was thinking we could do something, go somewhere, before the Christmas hols, as we will both be obligated to go all in with the family during Savannah: there would be SO MUCH satisfaction but I promise, I'll resist and be good, for now Savannah: no such promises of 👼🏾 for a family Christmas though, so I love that idea Jac: We can make that happen with just a shower, I promise you Jac: even if we just see a bit more of Edinburgh, get that hotel, I wanna treat you Jac: and no one can stop me spending as much time as we're able lavishing attention on you before we have to go back Jac: because it's going to be stressful, we both know that much already Savannah: if you're feeling left out because your entire dorm isn't talking about us, I can make that happen once we're 🚿 Savannah: you're the most thoughtful girlfriend in the entire world, but if that's something we're about to start competing over in place of academics, that's more than fine with me Jac: I might regret saying I can handle that but Jac: I don't Jac: 😳😳 Savannah: you won't have any, I promise Jac: I love you Savannah: I'm utterly in love with you Jac: I'll never get over hearing that Savannah: you don't have to because I love your 😳 too Jac: It's so different Jac: even though we used to say it like all the time Savannah: you know I meant it every time, it just had to be different Jac: and it is Jac: third time's a charm Jac: we'll make it work this time, no matter how much work that might be Jac: because it's so worth it Savannah: yes, it is and we will Jac: I'm gonna order all your faves when you get here Savannah: 🥰 Savannah: hopefully the lecture prep won't take me too long Jac: you can always read through mine Jac: it's not like it's cheating, just a better way to do a study sesh Savannah: if you're going to send it to me, absolutely, but if you're expecting me to concentrate on reading through it when I get there, I'm sorry but there's no way Jac: I'm not that 😈 Jac: at least not at the sake of your education Savannah: & thank goodness as my parents are both already doing the most to interfere with my education right now with their constant communication Jac: yet imagine your dad in particular if you did any less than perfect Jac: I don't know how he fails to see how counterproductive the constant checking in is Savannah: or the pressure that he's been putting on me to spend Christmas with him from literally November 1st, I swear Savannah: it hasn't slipped his mind that I had no choice but to do that for the last two, even if the unfairness to my mother is something he refuses to think about Jac: Yes, I was about to say Jac: he'll have to think about how he's going to timeshare more efficiently with your mum now, just because it was his way or nothing for two whole years Jac: clearly, that didn't work so well for anyone BUT him Savannah: he thinks he can dictate to me as if I'm no older than I was when he forced me to leave & as though nothing has changed since then Savannah: I'm not going to jeopardise my mum's recovery by not spending time with her in the holidays Jac: To even suggest, let alone expect that from you Jac: even if he's not thinking about your mother, why would he want that guilt for you Jac: at least he cannot literally force you onto a plane to Sligo instead of Dublin Jac: it's getting Sienna, that needs to be planned Savannah: I'm at my wits end with her, it's like she doesn't see the problem Savannah: of course I'd understand her reluctance to spend it with mum but it's all about him, every single of her reasonings, because they aren't even really hers Savannah: she just fully believes whatever dad says Jac: 😕 That's hard Jac: because it automatically puts you in the bad guy camp Jac: because obviously it's nicer to believe that he only wants what's best etc Jac: but when she realizes that's not totally true, that'll be shattering Savannah: she's going to get hurt by him again, as if I wasn't there when he walked out teaching her to question everything that comes out of a man's mouth, that man in particular Savannah: I hate it Jac: I know 😞 Jac: all you're trying to do is protect her Jac: is she interested at coming like, at all? Jac: even if not the actual day of Savannah: It's not like I want her to spend her time and energy until her leavers cert hating him as much as I do, I know it'll be different for her now that I'm gone Savannah: but we get nowhere whenever I try to talk to her about mum, irrespective of the actual subject Savannah: I'm not giving up, of course, but I won't pretend to you that it isn't exhausting Jac: Of course you don't, you'd never tell her what to think Jac: but if you can see things differently, or remember how it was last time, it doesn't make you a bad sister, it's the opposite Jac: you never do ❤ Jac: I was just wondering, though this would be a bit morally dubious Jac: if we could trick her into spending some time with your mum Jac: I could make my sister invite her to something legit, like a family party Jac: your dad MIGHT say yes? I don't know Savannah: at this point I'm so close to walking away from everyone for the sake of my own mental health to spend the holidays alone & obviously that's not a real option I have available to me so I'm more than ready to do it & take the bad karma if it backfires Jac: I understand, last Christmas, I would've given anything to do just that Jac: I think it could work, your dad being the only potential block Jac: we could go for the second half, do New Years with her, maybe Savannah: 😞 I'm going to make sure you have the best Christmas this year, baby, whether or not this works Jac: I've got you, that's all I need for it to be perfect Jac: and we will work this out Jac: but as you said, it isn't even time yet, so you don't have to figure it all out tonight Jac: but when we do, you will have a peaceful and joyful Christmas, if it's the last thing I do Savannah: You're perfect & you're getting my undivided attention tonight, I truly do not care what opinion any or every American girl in this town has or decides to share Jac: A no-phone policy does not even need to be implemented when you're so beautiful Jac: it'd practically be a sin to not use every sense on you Jac: but seriously, whilst they may have a point, we're also further along than they might assume Jac: like I said, if they've never had a proper relationship, they're used to not getting texts back and having to be cool about it 🤷 Jac: we don't have to tone ourselves down or lessen what we have, if it doesn't serve us to do so, only in the ways it might Savannah: I will implement one though, some kind of a genuine family emergency happening again notwithstanding Savannah: I learnt a LOT about sin in Catholic school & you're totally right Savannah: you're the only person who I'd tone anything down for & since you haven't asked me, I really don't think it's necessary Jac: I appreciate it, a lot, you know that, right? Jac: the cliche isn't totally baseless then Jac: you can tell me all about it but we better keep that on the down-low 🤫 Savannah: okay, you don't want that specific dialogue broadcast to your entire dorm, just our mutual appreciation Savannah: I can do that Jac: I can only imagine how enthusiastic the boys would be Jac: and I only care about your enthusiasm Savannah: ugh, true Savannah: I forget too easily that we're not totally on our own once the door is closed, which I'm sure is what lead to that conversation taking place earlier Jac: We aren't the only ones who do that Jac: I swear to God I've heard at least four different girls going next door 🙄 Savannah: 🙄 not to mention I'm still getting woken up by a certain person we don't like just being loud while she undergoes her morning routine, which has literally been happening since I first moved in Jac: I can't deal with how loud she is Jac: the accent makes it so grating Jac: is she trying to be an influencer? make friends? either or 😬 honey no Savannah: ^^^ Savannah: I'm going to have to start going to bed earlier to compensate once lectures start Jac: She a THOUSAND percent has booked herself all afternoon/evening lectures and won't get why everyone is making such a big deal ??? Jac: so that girl Jac: I do my best work in the AM, that's just facts, not all of us plan to party through the entire experience, come on Savannah: So do I, as you know, so if she doesn't take the numerous hints once they are coming from more than just me, I'll have to move in with you & be that girl Savannah: which would entirely negate all the rational points I made earlier Jac: God, there needs to be a way to complain about her without it being dead obvious Jac: an amnesty box of sorts Jac: I'm still looking for doubles but no one is moving yet Savannah: If I have to befriend her to initiate the behaviour change that way, I guess I'll get used to the accent Savannah: you've said my 🥺 is like a superpower Jac: it would be very on-brand Jac: basically work experience for us Jac: and they are but she might fall for you and then she'd be around even more Savannah: oh no, imagine how vocal she would be if she did Savannah: it would be beyond difficult to cope with Jac: I would not cope Jac: at all Jac: so I shan't imagine it Savannah: 😄 Jac: 😥 Savannah: Baby, don't 😥 Jac: I'll have to go back to being a TOTAL bitch from hell if she dares Savannah: 🥺 no Savannah: you're an angel Savannah: & she isn't worth your time or energy, I am Jac: You Jac: x2 Jac: I don't care about anyone else here Jac: in the nicest way possible, of course Savannah: except [whatever your professor bff's name is] that's evident in the notes you've sent me Jac: Okay, he's pretty cool Jac: and definitely gonna help us get perfect marks Savannah: you definitely don't need his help Savannah: I'd almost forgotten just how intelligent you are Jac: I'll try not to be offended Jac: even though I was still totally convinced you'd be going to Bath before I saw you Savannah: I mean, actually, not in a romanticised way because of how much I was in awe of you Savannah: & I did go there, before I made up my mind which offer to accept & it didn't feel right Jac: I'm only teasing, I know that Jac: 🌌💫 Savannah: we were supposed to be here together, like we always talked about Savannah: I shouldn't have ever tried to fight that Jac: I couldn't even bring myself to check your socials before Jac: I don't know what I didn't want to see more, you know Jac: confirmation either way was just, no Savannah: I understand Jac: If I'd have seen gap year plans with Milo, that would not have been it Savannah: most of the time that we were intending to plan was spent arguing anyway, I'm not sure he really wanted to go at any stage of it Savannah: with me, I mean Jac: You weren't right for each other Jac: he's lost a lot more from that deal than you have Savannah: He'll be having a lovely time in hostels, undoubtedly Savannah: it won't be a culture shock at all Jac: Checks out Jac: authentic experience Jac: inserting himself with all the other foreigners Savannah: 🙄 Savannah: if I thought he had a posh accent, lord knows what they'll think Jac: he'll be stimulating the economy, they'll pretend he's not unbearable Savannah: at least he'll be stimulating something, I suppose Jac: 😂 Jac: you said it, not me Savannah: it speaks to my experience Jac: how anyone has the nerve to 🥱 you when you're so interesting is so offensive to me Savannah: it's not his fault that nobody else could ever be as interesting to me as you are, but he is responsible for the effort, or lack of that he put in Jac: no, it'd take someone really special to fight the 🌌💫 and it's plans for us Jac: and I can imply he wasn't that person, without being petty about it Savannah: it's honesty, he wasn't that person & he'd be the first to say so Jac: you're already happier, aren't you? Jac: on this path, this direction Savannah: yes, the happiest Jac: 😊🥰 Savannah: excuse me while I have one of those moments where I can't believe any of this is really happening & fully expect to wake up in Sligo for the summer to the realisation it was the most incredible dream Jac: It's actually such a fear Jac: I never want to go to sleep when I'm with you Jac: for that reason, and the obvious being I can't look at you with my eyes closed Savannah: but if you don't your subconscious can't talk to me & you know how much I love that Jac: so far Jac: what if I say something totally stupid and betray myself 😱 Savannah: you could never say anything stupid & I know you aren't going to betray yourself or me Jac: You trust me, I trust you Savannah: exactly Jac: if I ever say anything really cringe, you can just not tell me, yeah 😅 Savannah: 😄 like what? Jac: anything our favourite American might say, for example Savannah: she isn't actually going to attempt to flirt with me, boo Jac: I know, she's the definition of straight Jac: bless her Savannah: ^^ she's the only person I would apply the word definition to, literally anyone else has the ability to change & grow but she's CLEARLY set in her loud ways Jac: ^ That's totally the vibe Jac: she made her mind up aged 10 she was right and hasn't moved an inch since, whatever the subject Savannah: you're so right Savannah: What were you like when you were 10? Jac: Oh God Jac: let me think Jac: so, fourth class, absolutely LIVID over the fact we had 2 more years of first school after that Jac: thought I was way too grown-up for EVERYTHING Jac: there was probably some boyband I was into but if there was, I don't remember but Isabelle probably still has the merch and posters on her wall Jac: hopefully I was less insufferable when we properly met those years later Jac: how about you? Savannah: I can totally relate, except of course I thought I was too grown up for boybands too Jac: Totally Jac: it was like a secret shame but she had none, Amelia neither Jac: so I kinda had to go with it Savannah: 😄 Savannah: I had a very overprotective father who wouldn't have let me go to those concerts even if I had wanted to so Jac: it made sense to be anti then Jac: it was a lot of screaming and pre-teen hormones, it might've felt like it at the time, but you didn't miss out on a whole lot Savannah: if there'd been a girl band of that era I'd have been much more likely to have supported them, as a fierce little feminist Jac: Adorable Jac: you were cute, I remember that much Savannah: you've always been cute, I've seen the photos Jac: at least my hair had grown back in a decent amount by then Jac: I was so jealous of yours Savannah: really? I didn't even know how to properly style it back then Savannah: but I still insisted, obviously, instead of letting my mum help me Jac: I liked that Jac: you didn't just let your mum braid it and put a bow in Jac: I have to assume that was my logic when I cut mine Jac: independence, making my own choice Savannah: I thought I could do ANYTHING, it's embarrassing how big my aspirations were Savannah: & that there was no limit on the choices I had, there was total belief in that too Jac: it's nice Jac: I wish we stayed like that Savannah: imagine my 🥺 when I discovered inequality & where I was supposed to fit into it as a black girl, except don't because I was utterly devastated Savannah: we still have big dreams though & more choices than 10 year old me did Jac: I don't wanna cry Jac: you're still going to get everything you want Jac: and you've had to work twice as hard for it, no one can take that away from you Savannah: no 😢 we're both going to have a beautiful life Jac: ✨🌼🌷❤☀️❤🌹🌻✨ Savannah: I'll help you & you'll help me Savannah: now that I'm more willing to accept it than I was as a child Jac: and your hair is undeniably flawless Jac: we can do anything Savannah: Oh my god, it's my turn to be jealous of yours & I always am Jac: the fact you can be jealous of anyone blows my mind Jac: you are perfection Jac: but you can play with my hair all you want now Savannah: but not literally right now 🥺 Jac: life is so unfair Jac: I'm so proud of you though, working so hard Savannah: well I'm even prouder of you, these notes are flawless Jac: I've got my uses, yeah Savannah: [a picture of her own aesthetic af notes so far because we are both those bitches] Jac: [truly, could rinse the studyblr tag with these two] Jac: 😍😍😍 you've picked such pretty colours Savannah: [I have saved some cute psychology ones off pinterest for when they start their studies] Savannah: they do match my outfit but if I start sending pictures of myself I'll never finish Jac: if you start sending pictures of yourself, I'll find it harder to be supportive of your studies Savannah: I miss you too Jac: as long as we're in that together too Jac: I'll survive Jac: my room does need tidying before you get here Savannah: you're adorable, you don't have to tidy up for me Jac: for my notes to look perfect, my room has to get a little messy Jac: oh, and my hair, probably Savannah: I can fix your hair for you after we 🚿 Jac: as long as you don't think I look terrible when you show and run straight back Savannah: I've been 😢 so I don't have any room to judge but even if I did, you could never look terrible & there is no conceivable reason that I'd ever run away from you Savannah: but if you need to shown all of that when I get there, it's okay, I'm happy to Jac: I'm so needy, I'm sorry Savannah: you're allowed to want me & not be sorry Savannah: I definitely don't see it as a negative Jac: Good Jac: I haven't done this before Jac: I don't ever wanna be too much Savannah: well, you aren't doing it alone & I trust us more than the opinion of a random American girl I'm currently stuck living with Savannah: any amount of reassurance you need for any reason, it's fine, I promise Jac: 😌 I'm cool Jac: but thank you Jac: there's no one else I would want to or could do this with Savannah: there's no need to thank me, I'll do anything to make sure you feel happy & secure Jac: and I intend to return the favour, always Jac: in every way available to me Savannah: 😊 I know, I meant what I said earlier, you're very good at this, first time girlfriend or not Jac: I've got to be a worthy competitor and you're 👼🏾 Savannah: Catholic school taught me a lot about 👼🏾 too Jac: I'm so relieved they still had to give you an actual education as well Jac: I can only imagine how hard Science could've fallen by the wayside Savannah: still, I will not be enrolling my 👶🏾👶🏾👶🏾👶🏾 when they're old enough Jac: at least you don't have to make that decision for a while yet Savannah: which is just as well because my immediate response was 'thank god', how blasphemous Savannah: 🙏🏾 hasn't guided this decision but there is a LOT of  🙌🏾 involved Jac: he'd approve if that was the only precaution you took, like Savannah: his approval would have to eclipse my actual father's disapproval, which is BEYOND unlikely Jac: 🙏🏾 is less vocal Jac: it's more signs than 🔊 Savannah: I think that's ⛪️ dependent, some 🙏🏾🙌🏾 is very vocal Jac: actual GOD himself though Savannah: hmm, well he is a man Savannah: it makes communication more challenging Jac: I'm sure little Savannah would've said herself Savannah: child me would've believed that god is a woman, another dream shattered for sure Jac: a woman wouldn't have done so poorly Jac: it's a compliment, really Savannah: exactly, with the zero communication, it'd be like excuse me honey, why are you so angry at me that you've blocked me? Jac: that kind of drama is reserved for me Savannah: not even, I know what I did to you Jac: you didn't do anything to me, not on purpose, I always knew that Savannah: it wasn't on purpose but that doesn't mean it's okay Savannah: I hurt you anyway Jac: We were both hurt and hurting Jac: it was a lot Savannah: yes, but it's important that you don't make excuses for me simply because of how much you want to forgive me Jac: I won't Jac: I can just recognize my role in everything too Jac: as well as the other factors that neither of us could control Savannah: ^^ we're not going to get hung up on it to the extent that it ruins everything, but we can & will acknowledge it all so that doesn't either Savannah: I do love a balancing act 😄🙄 Jac: You do it flawlessly Jac: but we don't have to examine our past and our current behaviour constantly Jac: night's off are self-care Jac: tonight can be one of them, we'll just be Savannah: okay Savannah: I don't know why it feels like I haven't seen you in a really long time, I swear I didn't fully disassociate during my freak out earlier Jac: I feel it too Jac: judge away, everyone Jac: we're making up for lost time Savannah: they'd understand if I actually let them spend time with you instead of stealing you away on sight Jac: I can't pretend to be devastated Jac: you're the most interesting to me Savannah: I can't pretend I regret it either Jac: 🥰 Jac: we have plenty of time to socialize Jac: and we do, with people who are relevant, like people on our course and the psych society Savannah: ^^^ Savannah: It's not my fault she isn't looking over my shoulder when I'm super active in both of those group chats Savannah: I was literally setting up a study group before she cornered me, excuse her Jac: 🙄🙄🙄 I don't care for her at all, even if she's brought a potential problem to our attention before it was Jac: like thanks but still, bye though Jac: maybe the rest of her art history course does NOT love her either 😬 like if YOU'RE lonely, just say Savannah: mhmm Savannah: if anybody understands loneliness, we do Jac: right, if the ego was taken out of it, we'd try to spend time with her, and loads of other people in your dorm etc would too Jac: she's not helping herself rn Savannah: I also totally understand overconfidence as a front for insecurity, like hello??! She could have an ally in me if she'd approach things differently Jac: 🤞 she gets there before the year is out Jac: I don't want anyone struggling, seriously Jac: but I know forcing friendships when they aren't happening naturally isn't healthy Jac: never mind accepting people's toxic behaviour when we're actively trying not to do or be that Savannah: I couldn't agree more Savannah: though, despite what I said before about her not flirting with me, there is a very high possibility she'll fall in love with you if you keep being so perfect Savannah: everyone will Savannah: it's not as if she has to like girls to appreciate your intelligence, empathy or compassion, even if understanding your resilience & determination is clearly a harder task for her right now Savannah: a beautiful soul is a beautiful soul Jac: 🥺 Jac: Baby Jac: beautiful recognizes beautiful, that's all I have to say Jac: you make me feel so much better than I've ever thought I am Savannah: I can't say if I achieve nothing else while I'm here I'll be satisfied, because you know me better than that, but I am proud to be able to list that as an ongoing one because I've never met a better person than you Savannah: you deserve to feel it Savannah: & if you are what you love, what a good person you are shamelessly works in my favour too Jac: you're the most incredible person I've ever known Jac: it just sounds like a baseless compliment, there's no way to adequately put it, at least not without some serious time and work to try Savannah: not from you, there's no such thing Jac: I'm not the one that can write songs, sadly Savannah: but you could write a song I'd like more Jac: 😅 Savannah: I know he's your brother but no Jac: Don't worry, not a weird clause that to date me you have to think his music is amazing Jac: I'd actually hate that, to be honest Savannah: I'm beyond relieved Jac: I'm relieved no one here knows who he is, or who I am in relation Jac: that was getting annoying, towards the end Savannah: poor boo, I can't even imagine Jac: oh well Jac: this fresh start is going better than I could have even dreamed on my craziest day Savannah: me too & you're really keeping me sane Jac: God knows we've got to get through this experience and THRIVE Savannah: ^^ 👏🏾 Savannah: We will, failure to do so is literally not an option Jac: Exactly Jac: I refuse Jac: to let either of us Savannah: speaking of, these notes are done Savannah: so I'll be there soon Jac: I'll come out with the blasphemy too Jac: because I need to see you so bad now Savannah: It's mutual Jac: Hurry Jac: but don't forget your coat, it's cold Savannah: 🥰 I totally would have for the same reason I don't think either of us can be held responsible for what we're about to say, so thank you Jac: I can't let you freeze Jac: even though warming you up is beyond a welcome responsibility Savannah: & I can't lie, my coat is more fashionable than practical, I'll still need you Jac: You've got me Jac: shower, tea and all the bed cuddles you could want Savannah: you're going to make me cry again Jac: sweetie Jac: you can cry but wait 'til you're inside and with me so we don't have to thaw out the icicle teardrops Savannah: [a picture of her with that glitter tears filter than samantha loves so much because sadly I don't actually have one] Jac: Wow Jac: that's my girlfriend Savannah: I can't get over hearing that from you Jac: I can't get over saying it Jac: even just to myself Savannah: It sounds so different when a boy says it Jac: Yeah? Savannah: I don't even know how to explain it, it's like it stripped me of something instead of giving me something Savannah: it felt like, oh, I'm just your girlfriend now, okay Jac: like a kind of diminishment of who you are Jac: not the pride to be with you and know you and love you Jac: I see that Jac: I was never anyone's girlfriend, but that's the feeling I got from them Jac: a title for THEM not YOU Savannah: of course you understand, you always do Jac: not that I was bothered what they thought Jac: but it would have been upsetting if I was, definitely Savannah: I hate that Jac: it's okay, that's all over Savannah: I'm going to make you so happy Jac: I know you will

A/N: This part is a little longer and we get some backstory on both Avelyn and Bucky. There's also some angsty Stucky friendship.
PREVIOUS PART
Tumblr media
After that first day when she met Bucky, he was all Avelyn could think about.
He hadn't been back since then and the memory of their first meeting consumed her. Everytime she closed her eyes, she'd see his face, those gorgeous eyes. She remembered the way how her name sounded falling from his lips.
"This is crazy." She thought to herself "You've literally met the guy once. This is probably just because you need to get laid."
Avelyn sighed, it had been months since she last had sex, almost a year. Surprisingly she'd never craved it, mostly because she'd thrown herself into her work, into her coffee shop, busying herself with new recipes and redecorating so she didn't think about the fact that deep down inside she was aching to be touched.
As she sat by the cash register, watching the busy streets of New York, her mind started drifting, wondering what it'd be like to have Bucky's head between her thighs. His tongue running up and down her folds, his scruffy beard adding to the sensation while her hands are knotted in his hair. What it'd be like to cum all over his tongue and see his face glistening with her juices.
Avelyn was so consumed in her thoughts that she didn't hear the door open or the footsteps coming towards.
"Avelyn."
She heard her name being called and moaned softly. His voice was following her everywhere now.
"Avelyn."
"God that's it, call my name daddy." She thought.
"Avelyn!"
The voice was now loud enough to snap her out of her reverie and she looked up to see Steve and Bucky standing in front the counter looking concerned. Avelyn blushed and ducking her head shyly mumbled "Hey Steve, hey Bucky."
"Hey Lynn, are you okay?" Steve asked. She nodded "M'fine, what can I get for you boys today?" Her eyes flickered towards Bucky, he hadn't even paid any attention to her yet.
She wondered if it was because she looked like a mess. She didn't even have to look in the mirror to know that her hair and face had flour on it. She called it baker chic, her friends called it messy, maybe he wasn't into that sort of thing.
"We'll take two coffees, black." Bucky responded.
Avelyn nodded, trying to pretend that the sound of his voice wasn't making her weak.
"That'll be $6.00."
Steve dug into his wallet, pulled out a few bills and paid.
"Go take a seat and I'll bring them over to you." As Bucky walked off, Avelyn took a moment to appreciate the view and goddamn he was thick. She busied herself making the coffee and when she was about to carry it over to them, her eyes fell on the tray of cinnamon rolls in her display case.
Avelyn took a plate and placed some on it before carrying both the coffee and the rolls over to the boys who were sitting on beanbag chairs in the back of the cafe. She nearly laughed upon seeing their large frames trying to fit into the pillowy chairs.
As she bent to place the items on the table, she made to stay long enough so that Bucky could get a good look at her ass in her leggings. She might have been looking like a mess but her ass was fat. Avelyn felt Bucky's eyes on her the whole time, raking up and down her frame and smirked to herself.
"Lynn we didn't order any cinnamon rolls." Steve said
"Well no one does either cause this place is always empty so it's on the house." Avelyn said with a soft, almost imperceptible sigh.
Steve's heart broke a little seeing the look on her face. He knew how much the place meant to her, how hard she'd fought to get it and seeing her so broken up about the imminent failure of her dreams, hurt him.
"Don't worry Lynn, business will pick up soon enough." He said comfortingly.
Avelyn offered him a small smile "I hope so Steve, now you boys enjoy your coffee, I have things to do."
As she walked away, Bucky's eyes were glued to her retreating frame.
"So Buck, do you like her?" Steve asked.
Bucky turned to glare at him "Don't be ridiculous Steve."
Steve smirked "That wasn't a no Bucky."
Bucky rolled his eyes "If that's all that you brought me here to discuss, then I might as well go home."
Steve suddenly sat up straighter. He dreaded having this conversation with Bucky but it needed to be done.
"No, we're here to discuss you. I'm worried about you Bucky. All of last week, I was calling and texting and you didn't answer. Everytime I see you, you look like you've lost more weight and I know you haven't been sleeping well because quite frankly, you look like shit."
Bucky stiffened, he hated having these conversations with Steve. He hated the fact that Steve worried so much about him when he had a wife and family to take care of.
"I'm fine Steve, honestly you worry too much."
Steve stared at him intently and it was making Bucky uncomfortable so he used what he knows always works.
"I know I'm hot but for Christ's sake you're married Rogers."
Steve leaned forward, well as much as he could in the beanbag and placed a hand on Bucky's shoulder
"Stop deflecting Bucky. Tell me what's really going on."
Bucky sighed "Fine. I haven't been eating much because I can't afford groceries. Therapy and my medication have been using up most of my money and I haven't been sleeping because the pills aren't working, I'm still having the nightmares. I didn't pick up your calls because I didn't want to be a bother."
"Bucky..." Steve said, disappointment dripping from his voice, "You're never a bother. You know you're always welcome at my house for dinner, Peggy and the kids love having you over and if you need money I can help you. I don't know why you don't come to me. I'm your best friend, I'm here for you."
Bucky slammed his hands down on the table in agitation "That's the problem Steve, I don't want to be like this all the time, depending on you to take care of me. I want a job, I want a family. I want to be independent. I don't want to be a burden forever but who wants to hire a cripple. Sometimes I wish...I wish I'd just died in the war."
Steve was taken aback. He'd never known Bucky felt like this. He couldn't even find the right words to say.
Bucky ran his hands through his hair in frustration. He hadn't meant to explode on Steve like that but he was tired of feeling like that, tired of everyone's pity and sympathetic glances, tired of feeling useless and judged. His anger was spiraling out of control lately and needed to get it back under control before it out on the wrong person like what had just happened with Steve.
"I'm sorry Steve. I shouldn't have gone off on you like that."
"No Bucky, I'm sorry. I should've noticed what was going on." Steve said and he meant it. How could he have not noticed what was going on with his best friend?
Bucky shook his head, his too long locks flying around his face "Steve for crying out loud, you're married with two kids. You have more important things. I really appreciate what you're doing for me right now. I needed someone else to talk to besides Dr. Banner."
"I'm always here for you James, just remember that. Till the end of the line." Steve said. He was still conflicted about what to do about Bucky. It was obvious that therapy wasn't working and that Bucky was extremely unwilling to go out of his way to get any extra help. He made a promise to himself be there more for James even when he was pushing him away. The only thing left was to figure out what to do to help him and he knew the perfect person to assist him.
Avelyn.

So I've been listening to Rain covered by Mafumafu (which is originally sang by Sekai no Owari) and am aspired to write a songfic bout it (*˘︶˘*).。*♡
do note that this'll be a miscellaneous pairing but let's see if I could note down what I had in mind whilst writing this at the end of the post!
.
Tumblr media
.
幸せなような 涙が出そうな
This is just like happiness but feels like my tears is flowing out
この気持ちはなんて言うんだろう
I wonder, what is this feeling?
ファフロツキーズの夢を見て起きた
(I ask), as I woke from a dream of a rainfall,
涙が頬で乾いていた
with tears that have gotten dry on my cheeks.
"(B)-san, you're spacing up again," said a person sitting across to the called up young male. It's not so often people reprimanded him for sequestering before he himself does. "You're good?"
It felt frustrating to have himself being picked out, he must admit, "Don't mind me, kindly presume." —it hurt the pride a bit.
"But (B)-san, you're shedding tears!"
Beforehand, he never thought how tardy his mind could get him. He thought he'll do better than this. "Hm? Is that so?" checking upon himself, there do exist several scants of salty water on both of his delicate cheeks.
"If you're not feeling pretty well, I think it'll be safe to say that today's study might be enough as it is," the second boy said, slightly leaning towards his opposite side of the table where (B) sat across.
"I wonder if that'll do the day enough," (B) replies him; pinning his arm on one side of his now not-so-damped cheek. "Didn't you ask me for a studying session at the onset?"
"I'll ask you for another day if today's been ill for you."
"Heh, bold of you to assume I have pretty enough time for you," scribble scribble, he started to dance the pen grace atop of the book with several question marks served before him now that he knows his consciousness wouldn't betray him for another time today.
".....you should've had an equestrian private class by this time, didn't you?"
"Then again, I think it's fine to skip a class for once, I always wanted to try it," he eschewed the hindrance, not even sure what to tell to express his storm, as well as almost finishing the equation (A) enquired him while he was spacing out.
The smaller boy falter back to his original seat, having a faint, minuscule clue to comprehend. "Recently you've been abating your tense, does that have any relations to this?"
'What a curious little head', the taller boy muttered to himself. "Are you here to intrude one's seclusion too or what?"
—oh, his bad. It wasn't meant to sound that harsh.
"I was asking nicely, though. If there's anything, at least perhaps I could help."
"You're shamefully certain with that," he paused as he's circling the end of the long formula he's been writing before. "To think that this turned out as a downfall session, I ought to dismiss myself. Take care."
He finished his duty for the queries and stood, walking away with no words aftermath leaving the guilty significance with the deafening hues of the heliac's afternoon grace.
"(B)-san, wait, I—"
Was it too late?
.
真っ白な夜に 遠くを走る汽車の影
In the pure white night, the shadow of the train running in the distance,
静寂と僕ら残して過ぎ去っていく
passing by leaving both of us with the silence.
Day to day, life's been making jokes on him recently. Seven of the evening now, and the father has just texted him his chauffeur sir is picking up his whomever-it-is niece?
Surely, a 'You'll do fine going home by yourself, wouldn't you?' has exploit his temper like a cherry on top, but sadly he's worn enough to do any dumb act of expression; even walking sounds more troublesome than ever now. Better serves the old man sire right next time, then.
A railway, of course. The lamp sign isn't broken, right? A train wouldn't suddenly appear from the corner, ready to send him to join the cult of souls, right? Ding dong, ding dong, rest assured, 'he'll be fine', he assured himself.
Has this district always been this quiet? Even footsteps that's changing pace into a running one from a distance could vividly be heard.
Wait, footsteps? who's behind him?
The lone youth peeks his left, seeing nothing before the tap on his right shoulder making him stock still along with a train passing by, unnoticed ahead of time. "(B), I haven't seen you for several days. Is our school ground that spacious?"
The tone he knows become unimaginably low he thought he's in trouble. It's on his right.........right?
They trade each other's gaze few moments until the sound of the echoing train could be faintly be heard ever again, as one of them fell into consideration.
"(A), I swear I'm throwing you just before that train the second time you're doing that."
"Pardon, I just thought I wouldn't catch up on you if weren't to do that."
"Tell your business this instant."
"I don't have any."
"It's late enough to clown around, (A)."
"It's actually nothing but simplicity," the shorter male rummages his bag, smiling a bit as if he's glad the male before him would like to appreciate his presence. "Grandmother made me a few charm, would you like to take one as a gratitude for five days ago?"
"No." —or not. Seems like he's not keenly fond of it yet. "Life will revolves as it is with or without it around me. Why would I?"
Another sound of a train could be heard. The pregnant silence has took a quite moment, now that the long mech has already passed its way already; leaving them with nothing but a deem to each other's scrutiny.
"If you're giving me nothing but that pity worth look, you're wasting my rest time, congratulations." Mercilessly, he whomst been offered a kindness left, again.
"Oh, believe me, I couldn't really care how's the world will do you," the young (A's last name) is catching up again, wouldn't really give a thorough business of the upcoming consequences. "But I'm leaving this heartful omen guardian on that hands of yours, regardless." —but he managed, unlike the other time, it isn't him the one who's get left behind.
And just like that, he merges his steps counterway with no intention of making the slight niggled guy talks back.
Something new within the stance of two silences, huh....?
.
逃げ出したいような 心踊るような
it feels like I want to run away, it feels as if my heart is dancing
この気持ちはなんて言うんだろう
I wonder, what's the name of this feeling?
鏡の前で顔を背けたのは
The times when I turn my face away from the mirror,
ずっと昔のことのようで
it already feels like a long, long time ago
'He's messing with my head.'
That (A's last name), is this what they call sorcery of the innocency?
Enough of this. As if he's one worth of importance. Certainly he has greater deeds on his to-do list, and none of them associates with the chants of that young male's surroundings.
Truth unfold, the lingering feeling did felt great; rejuvenating. A wholesome aid after weeks of tyranny he wouldn't even dare to complain for the sake of what he strives until present from his long chronicle.
But that's it, no more going lulled unless he wants to get himself dulled.
"If there's anything I can help, then please let me! You're concerning, to be less said."
Ridiculous. Now his voice rings as if they're crystal clear.
"(B's full name), it's not a joke."
A joke......?
"What are you doing here?"
He thought the class has died minutes ago?
"I'm personally not sure, but it seems like an unfinished notion brought me here today," (A) replies, not tagging his tender trademark along. Why though?
"I recommend you to stop barging into a 'mere friend's businesses. Not everyone is pleased by that, I believe?"
"Do you really think few spits of you generously giving off your time tutoring me just only got us as a stranger?" young (A's last name) asked (B)'s query back. "—what happened to your dignity that only serves only the person of your ought? I'm not being jested around, aren't I?"
Dear Luna, (B's last name) thought it wouldn't be anywhere near this. He miscalculated the impressions.
"Those minor gestures, tone shift? It is as if I'm studying you more than my lessons if they keep on appearing in front of me!"
Is the tricker being tricked? It was never intended to be this grave. Where was the tranquil atmosphere of brief salvation he originally yearned?
"It's a period here, (A). You'll proceed nothing but only vain to feed that forsaken meddling."
.
虹が架かる空には雨が降ってたんだ
where the rainbow spreads in the sky
いつか虹が消えてもずっと僕らは空を見上げる
I won't forget, on a rainy day like this, we gazed into the sky together
Then in a sudden, a downpour arrives like a thunder in the midday, coating the radius within with fluids and humidity.
.
虹はいずれ消えるけど雨は草木を育てていくんだ
the rainbow will vanish soon, but the rain will keep nurturing the plants
そうだ 次の雨の日のために 傘を探しに行こう
Yes, on the next rainy day let's look for an umbrella together.

Nancy & Rio
Nancy: Were you really not gonna tell me? 'Cause newsflash, if you were waiting for Buster to grow a pair and do it Nancy: Obviously that wasn't going to and didn't happen, like Rio: It's not just you, I wasn't going to tell anyone Rio: I didn't Nancy: Okay Nancy: Glad to know it wasn't just me Nancy: But you could've said something when they all started finding out and not leave June to break it to me thinking I already knew Nancy: The level of awkward Rio: I'm sorry, Nance Rio: I should've thought Rio: it kinda just happened Nancy: That's my twin brother and I'm the last to know Nancy: You know? Rio: You so aren't Rio: know news is traveling fast but Rio: I don't know, I am sorry Rio: Probably could've done this better Nancy: Anyway its not about me Nancy: So not the point Rio: Yeah but it ain't my intention to make you feel shit with it Rio: or his Nancy: He clearly had no intention either way Nancy: It's actually comforting though, amid this whole personality transplant he's having, he's still able to be a prick Rio: I mean, take what you can get, babe Nancy: I'm sorry but this is Nancy: He's old enough to get married but not mature enough to talk to anyone about it Rio: To be clear, we aren't getting married Nancy: What do you mean? Nancy: You are Rio: I mean Rio: not right now Rio: not for ages, it's not like we've got plans Rio: we would've said then, would've had to Nancy: Then what are you doing? Nancy: Why do you need a ring that costs enough to give my mum and dad a heart attack, right now? Rio: Because we want to Rio: there's no way to say that that doesn't sound bratty but you know what I mean Nancy: Not that long ago he wanted to go to America Nancy: I'm not even trying to sound like a bitch but if I do then it's 'cause I don't understand Rio: I've not said he can't Rio: he's still applied Nancy: I'm not saying that only Nancy: How do you know what he wants? Nancy: I know what it's like to get carried away, like Rio: I know Rio: but this hasn't just come out of nowhere, remember Nancy: It seems like he has to keep upping the stakes, everyone's okay with you being together so he has to take it further Rio: I don't think he wants the fight Rio: like you said, he doesn't even wanna talk Nancy: He says he doesn't, but then does everything he can to have it brought to him Nancy: He's always done it Rio: I don't know what to say Rio: I really don't think he's gonna take it that far, like Nancy: Well, I wouldn't have said so either but it's one drama after another with him lately Rio: There's nothing I can say to convince you, and I'm not going to Rio: but I know he loves me Nancy: I know he loves you too Nancy: But you have to admit, it's intense, right? Rio: Yeah Rio: It definitely is Rio: it always has been Nancy: Are you sure he can handle this? Rio: How do you mean? Nancy: He's always kept everyone at arms length Nancy: Slept with different girls all the time Nancy: Not that long ago Nancy: Has he really changed that much? Rio: I think so, but sure, I can't say so for certain Rio: but it's only me who has to take that chance and trust him Rio: you know Rio: if he hasn't then that's that Nancy: Aren't you freaked out? Nancy: He's already cheated on you, okay not in a cut and dry way 'cause we all know what Chloe is like and what she did but still Nancy: You said yes to forever Nancy: That's Rio: Like you said, not that cut and dry Rio: It was all such a mess idk if we were even together together Rio: it still hurt but Rio: I'm just trying to move on from all that shit Nancy: Yeah Nancy: Sorry for bringing it up Nancy: I'm just Nancy: I'm freaked out if you're not Rio: Nah, it happened Rio: I can't explain how I know Rio: I just do Rio: Maybe it's stupid but it still is Nancy: I don't think either of you are stupid Nancy: Impatient, maybe Nancy: But you're not alone in that, like Nancy: Everything's moving so fast with everyone and I can't remember how to relax anymore Rio: Yeah Rio: It is mental Rio: but this is one of the only things that doesn't make me feel like that Rio: that's what it is, that's how I know Nancy: I can tell its the same for him Nancy: Even if he won't talk to me, I still know Rio: I can make him but you know how well that'll go down Rio: Not got those kind of powers yet, like Nancy: Mum's beat me to the ambush and I can imagine how that went Nancy: I'm not trying to do it Rio: Either really bad or really well 'cos my phones not being blown up so Nancy: Not to be a bitch again, but option 1 is way more likely Rio: Yeah Rio: Reckon your Mum hates me as much as Ro does yet or Nancy: Of course not Nancy: Ro only hates you 'cause she hates herself so much there's no more space there Nancy: My mum would never Rio: Good to know Rio: Self-esteem saving the day yet again Nancy: Not to say she's buying a hat and shoes yet Nancy: But you'll be okay at the next family function Nancy: Mum's mad at Buster not you, and same Rio: What a fashion faux pas that'd be Rio: Make a joke about hiding the bump better than the ring but even I'm not ready for that gag yet Rio: He really is trying, not that I'm going to law school to be his advocate but Nancy: You're getting married before Ro, we're all thrilled about that much, babe Nancy: He's trying my patience, but what's new there? Nancy: We're all trying as hard as we can right now Nancy: It'd be nice if he acted like he gave a fuck about anything besides you and him but Nancy: Just do me a favour and don't have a baby until I'm out of the country, yeah? Rio: Has Drew made an appearance since? Rio: and you've got it Nancy: No Nancy: Even he's not that much of an idiot Rio: Just checking Rio: Don't want 'em sneaking in ahead, like Nancy: If you think my mum is anti your vows she's next level about theirs, don't worry Rio: Ain't we all Rio: Not just 'cos I wanna ride him myself, naturally Nancy: Don't Nancy: So gross Nancy: If that can be the one thing that unites us I'm fine with it Rio: You fancy him too? Nancy: Can't seduce my way up that list Nancy: Also sure that he'd rather die than have me do anything like that for him Nancy: Especially 'cause I'd look better in a suit Rio: Who else would he ask? Rio: Picking the best of his current friends is the best of a bad bunch, like Nancy: You've got more than enough brothers to choose from Rio: Nah Rio: Like you said, kept his distance, who are they to him really, like Nancy: Okay but if you aren't getting married soon who knows what bromances he might form Rio: Who knows how much you'll be twinning Nancy: Gross Rio: You love it Nancy: You do Nancy: I saw you matching him on his feed Nancy: You're such a lesbian now, I can't Rio: Shut up 😖 Rio: we looked 🔥 Nancy: Yeah but it was so gay Rio: I feel hatecrimed Nancy: If you tell me you wanna match me tonight I'm not coming Nancy: Like I am, 'cause I need to, but Nancy: No Rio: 😒 Rio: this is why we're breaking up Nancy: Oh my god Nancy: You could've at least let me break up with you first Nancy: You know how stressed I am Rio: Now you can let off steam with some club hoe Rio: YOU'RE WELCOME Nancy: Now I'll be crying in the club and you'll have to deal with that Rio: Can't keep up with what you want, babe, honestly Nancy: Lesbian 101 Nancy: You never will Nancy: I actually might let off some steam if there's an option though, does that work? Rio: Sounds exhausting Rio: Ooh lala Rio: little TMI but I'm down Nancy: It's a serious question Nancy: Not a proposition for you Rio: Umm, are you asking permission or like Rio: if fucking helps you forget your problems? Nancy: I don't need your permission, we're not engaged, sorry about it Rio: The latter then? Rio: I mean, it's distraction, good as any but it's not fixing anything, like Nancy: If it works as a distraction, I'll try it Nancy: Spoken like I could remotely pull that off after having one girlfriend, okay Rio: Did you Rio: you know Rio: don't have to answer that fully tell me to shut up if you're feeling it Nancy: Yeah but I kind of had my mind elsewhere so I can't really draw on that for much inspiration Rio: Yeah Rio: I wouldn't reccomend going back to old inspiration Rio: goes without saying but that's not gonna help anything Nancy: You're telling me Nancy: Not how I thought my first relationship was gonna go Rio: Cheer up Rio: plenty got you beat Nancy: Is that meant to be comforting? Thanks Rio: Yeah Rio: least you got to be the cunt Rio: feminism, init Rio: the rest of us stuck with our sob stories here, Indie just the latest in line Nancy: I'd rather she hurt me, that's how I deserved for it to go Nancy: As if Buster gets an engagement and I get this Nancy: Such a prick Rio: Well she didn't so you don't get to mope, babe Rio: Come on Rio: Sort it out Nancy: You sound like my mum Nancy: Don't do that around him Rio: Well there's no need for that kinda slander Rio: Might be into it, but I know I can't freak you out with Freud like I did Inds so Nancy: Nothing an old white man has to say about anything is worth listening to Nancy: Even Indie knows that Rio: Harsh Rio: I like him, he knew how to party Nancy: I already know you like old white men, babe Nancy: You can't freak me out with that either Rio: 😂 Rio: Straight up savagery Nancy: Gay culture Nancy: Do I download an app or leave it up to the Gods and fates to decide if I fuck away my stresses? Hmm Rio: So proud Rio: Gonna make a speech at the wedding Nancy: If you mean get drunk and call Buster out then yeah Nancy: Of course I will Rio: Please don't ruin my pretend wedding Rio: the drama, this family has had enough Nancy: What do you actually want as an engagement gift though? Nancy: You've caught me unawares and I'm offended Rio: We don't need anything Rio: just get the first round, like Nancy: Did I say need or did I say want Rio: Did I not say a round Rio: you can IOU his Nancy: Fine Rio: Don't be grumpy Rio: So like him Nancy: OH MY GOD Nancy: Is that any way to change my mood? Rio: You know you don't wanna hear really Nancy: You don't have to marry him for that Nancy: None of us are religious Nancy: He's slept with girls for so much less Rio: No, I mean Rio: You'd just gross at any reasoning beyond that too Nancy: I know you love him Nancy: We've had that conversation Nancy: My memory's not that bad Rio: Are you drunk already? Nancy: I wish Nancy: But we have to study, right? Rio: Yeah, I can deal with dyslexia but not drunkness, thank you Rio: also omw btw Nancy: I think it's better when I drink Nancy: Like it cancels out Rio: Interesting Rio: still Rio: wait bitch Nancy: I'm not saying we test it now Nancy: I'm just saying test me later compared to now Nancy: Or something Rio: Whips out homework in the club Nancy: I meant my brain in general but whatever you're into, babe Rio: 😂 Rio: You gon be too busy Rio: remember Nancy: Fighting off straight men, sure Rio: Life and times of a mega babe Nancy: Femme struggles Nancy: Woe's me Rio: Poor baby Nancy: But if there are any cute girls there who happen to also be into me then yeah to fucking away my problems, obviously Rio: 😳 Damn okay Nancy: You know how I flirt so you know your blushes are gonna be spared Nancy: You've got more chance than me Rio: You'll be fine Rio: Your Ma ain't about is she Rio: fully avoiding Nancy: She's done her drop in for the day so you're safe Nancy: You don't need to avoid her though, just use the diamond glare like a torch Rio: Bear that in mind Rio: but I'm glad it's safe to come in Rio: get ready to train that brain Nancy: You're really selling it Nancy: Thanks Nancy: We can drink when I'm done, yeah? Rio: Well any jokes about being your sexy tutor are kinda off limits no Rio: Doing my best with what you've left, like Rio: and duh Nancy: Don't this is literally never gonna blow over and be okay, is it? Like Nancy: Excuse me while I move countries again Rio: Oh babe Rio: it will Nancy: If that was true it'd be old news by now, wouldn't it? Rio: Full offense but no one thinks about it as much as you do anymore Rio: it's just part of the craic, like who's fingered who and all that shite Nancy: Ouch Rio: It's gotta be said Nancy: Okay Nancy: Like it did really but you've said it now Rio: I'm sorry Nancy: How did you get engaged and we're still talking about me? Nancy: That's gay culture Rio: 😂 Rio: I like to think if it wasn't to your brother you'd be more receptive but you know Rio: maybe I'm giving too much credit Nancy: Rude Nancy: I want you be happy I'm not that much of a bitter lesbian Rio: I know bitch Nancy: You better know that Rio: Of course I do Rio: it's not that deep, I swear Nancy: You're only getting married, it's not that deep Nancy: You're funny Rio: Oh my god Rio: stop saying it like that Nancy: I'm sorry Nancy: But I can't believe this is something that's happening Rio: You've got plenty of time to get used to it Rio: not like it's happening in the morning, like Nancy: Thank god 'cause I am not having a good skin day Nancy: Club lighting is one thing but wedding photos are another Rio: Nothing but lowlighting I swear Rio: Plus I probably have to go on some mental diet right Nancy: Um NO Rio: Okay, wasn't about to go bridezilla and put all of y'all on it too or else Nancy: If you put yourself on it, I'd kill you, Buster would kill you, my mum would kill you Nancy: We'd all kill you Rio: The family that slays together Nancy: Exactly Nancy: Stop trying to make me give you big gay compliments about how pretty you are Rio: Soz, I'm just SO about it obvs Nancy: Who isn't? With MY track record Rio: Gotta keep everyone on their toes Rio: like you thought you knew our type Nancy: Jesus, I don't even know my own type Nancy: Good luck everyone Rio: We keep it entertaining if nothing else Nancy: One word for it Nancy: I'll just happily accept you and Buster keeping the heat off me with mum for as long as it keeps happening Nancy: Gathering up my free passes to be a messy bitch thank you Rio: Ringing endorsement Rio: You're welcome and cheers Nancy: I can be nice or I can be honest Rio: Why not both Nancy: When they overlap, of course Nancy: Doesn't happen often where my brother is concerned though Rio: 😏 I tried Nancy: You know he's only nice to you, right? Rio: Slight exaggeration Nancy: Barely an exaggeration Rio: Well Rio: I know he tries Nancy: I understand that you love him and you wanna see the best in him but I love him too and that doesn't matter like it should Nancy: Not to him anyway Rio: It does Rio: I know I've not got anything to back that up with but trust me Nancy: Where's he in this conversation? It's just me and you Nancy: And I came to London 'cause I asked you, he didn't invite me Nancy: He never would Rio: I know Rio: he just, does things differently Rio: he thinks that's how you want it Rio: and it's been like that so long, I don't know if he knows how to do different at this point Rio: not yet, anyway Nancy: Things are how he wants them 'cause I burned him years ago by leaving somewhere I literally couldn't be anymore Nancy: And he can't let it go 'cause he'll never talk to me about it Rio: It's not like it's an easy thing to talk about Rio: especially when he did a lot of things he regrets Rio: I get the frustration but it's not easy being the one who has to come on bended knee Nancy: Yeah, he did those things he regrets to me Rio: I know Rio: and so does he Rio: That's what I'm saying Rio: You get it, there's no ego to be salvaged Nancy: I wish he cared a little less about his ego then Rio: It ain't that simple Nancy: Nothing is when he's in the centre of it Rio: What happened happened Rio: There's too much water under the bridge to solve with a simple sorry no Nancy: I don't want sorry, just not to be shut out about everything that's going on with him all the time Nancy: Forget it. It's not like that for you, you don't need to understand how it is for me, like Rio: Well, no Rio: it's a two-way street Rio: he knows as little about you, it takes both of you to keep it like this Nancy: I came to London, I tried, even though he obviously didn't want me there Rio: So that's it, you're good? Nancy: Excuse you, I've been putting the work in since Nancy: He's put the shutters down over this 'cause mum's on the warpath and he can't handle any criticism Nancy: But it's not like I wasn't getting one word answers before then Rio: Whatever, this is ridiculous Rio: I'm not trying to be the go-between for either of you Nancy: Tell him to talk to me then Nancy: He actually listens to you Rio: Why can't you? Rio: You ask where he is but you're in my inbox acting like you expected him to be here Nancy: Please Nancy: I thought things were getting better for a second after the Chloe situation but here we are again, back to square one Nancy: I'm not there 'cause I'm not looking for a fight Nancy: And that's all he wants from any of us about this, for whatever reason Rio: Because he's been making changes since the Chloe situation and has got no positive feedback from that Rio: All he wants is acknowledgment of that Nancy: I know he's doing better but I don't know how to tell him that without sounding like a patronising bitch Rio: I'm not saying it's easy, or even that you have to Rio: but the defensive is his default for a reason and it isn't just that he's a cunt Rio: I'm not having that Nancy: When did it get so hard for us to talk to each other? Nancy: I used to tell him everything and vice versa Rio: I don't know Rio: Maybe it's growing up because even Indie doesn't come to me like she used to Nancy: Everything's so weird Nancy: I hate it Nancy: I'm genuinely glad he's got you, I used to get so worried about him having nobody to talk to Rio: Me too Rio: Yeah, he needs better people around him Rio: I think Uni, wherever he goes, will help Nancy: Yeah Nancy: Where we are in London is like a different world and not in a good way Rio: May can't come soon enough Rio: I am worried what he's going to do 'til then Rio: maybe I can go back and forth but I promised I'd be here Rio: I don't know Nancy: It's not just him, I was a different person there too, more shut off Nancy: It's what you have to do Nancy: He'll come here though, who wouldn't like it better? It's like taking a breath Nancy: Cliche but true Rio: Yeah Rio: It's not good for you though, I mean, you know Rio: you couldn't do it any longer than you had to Nancy: I really do know. I swear I felt too much here for too long 'cause I didn't let myself feel anything there Nancy: And look what happened Nancy: At least none of his teachers are hot, one crisis averted Rio: I mean, Chloe is hardly bangin' but you know Nancy: Therapists don't @ me or my brother, thanks Rio: Your funds, they'll be lining up babe Nancy: Right? I could pay to put their kids through uni before I go Rio: Truly Nancy: Rich kid problems Nancy: I'm aware how I sound Rio: You don't sound any type of way Rio: I'm sorry I had to be a bitch there Nancy: You're not Nancy: I shouldn't put you in the middle, I don't want to but Rio: I know, kind of inevitable Nancy: Tell me shut up next time, like Rio: You got it Nancy: Or you know, do that straight girl thing of 'but I love him' in response to anything and everything Rio: Please Rio: never get you off your soapbox then Nancy: I mean, if you did it enough I'd just die so Nancy: Not that I'm dramatic Rio: 'Course Nancy: Thanks for not pointing out how dramatic he also is Nancy: I could feel you resisting Rio: You know, enough home truths for one convo Rio: Plus I'm here so like, need you to still want me to come in Nancy: Who's more dramatic though, me or him? Nancy: Don't just say him 'cause you don't want me to fight you Nancy: Real question Rio: Hmm Rio: I don't know Rio: you're dramatic in different ways Rio: so diplomatic, I know Nancy: Such a non answer but you can come in anyway Nancy: Hold on Rio: 👍
