sometimes while going through my fandom stuff i'll find privated/ghost interactions with it, and on the one hand i know there's any number of reasons someone might want some privacy and i respect that 100%. and it's also weirdly flattering! and i'm glad people are able to enjoy my stuff in whatever kind of peace it is they're maintaining. especially if it's something without a lot of other content out there.

on the other hand i am always so so curious. who are you stranger what was it you liked about my thing. who are the other enjoyers out there

#whosebaby talks #i say this because i've been going through my ao3 recently; and finding private bookmarks for fics i posted years ago #it's really cool honestly and a nice surprise when it happens; but also i'm Nosy and like to know who to wave at #it definitely happens sometimes on Problematic Fics(tm) and/or smut; but just as often it happens on things that are neither #and that's really interesting to me #and the years-old ones especially tend to stick around in my head #because my general policy is it's fine if you want to contact me privately or on anon about my stuff! it will stay private/anon if so #(unless you are a minor; in which case i am super not comfortable with that please don't)#but if something is from years ago then the person is probably long gone from like. Being Provided with That Context #even if they'd have taken you up on it at the time; so i guess i'll never know

Then took some courses in roadside hazard magic.#This sparked an interest in safety magic and resulted in an eventual change of major - but the outfit stayed true to their roots.#All that said and done; The original costume is really good and I hope OP keeps up the good wizarding work.#Remember that distracted driving is extremely dangerous. idk if anyone else felt this way, but in the Shapeshifter ep of Dungeon Meshi, it's treated like a joke that all the copies of Laios are super obviously not him, but isn't it kind of fucked up that Laios's closest companions don't seem to view him as... whole?

None of his companions had an accurate view of him as a person! One of the copies was a stupid, drooling mess! And on top of this, they all believed that because Laios struggles with social cues he wouldn't be observant to them as people. They just... fundamentally don't understand him.

I think the really accurate copies of the rest of the party was drawn from Laios's mind. His powers of observation and analytics are his strength, but that's not the same as being good with social cues.

Anyway. It made me really sad. I know his party cares about him, but it's so isolating to know your friends don't know you.

im so jealous of people who have special interests that are facts based. like how am i supposed to communicate to people that my special interest isnt star trek the tv show its star trek the story. the characters. the themes and motifs.

people ask me stuff about the lore or the production and im like nah nah nah. idk any of that stuff. but i could spend 30 minutes analysing the scene in corbomite manouver where spock says "im s-" and what implications that has for his character and his relationship with jim.

i dont know how a mind meld works or what powers a phaser but i could write you an essay on the themes of found family in star trek v, including the significance of row row row your boat in the cyclical narrative.

"how does a transporter work" fuck if i know. can i tell you about 'good luck spock'???

The way Mel doesn't even flinch when Ambessa slaps her, doesn't even react. Just keeps trying to negotiate, keeps trying to get her to see reason right up until that final fight. Your mother is the only person in the world left who truly knows and loves you and yet she does not respect you.

Thinking about Cait smacking Ambessa right as she was about to give another condescending smirk and line to Mel, snapping at her to shut up and fight even with a dagger in her gut. And she would have died seconds later if it wasn't for Mel.

No one can understand what it's like being raised by Ambessa. Not anymore now that Kino is dead. The level of abuse, manipulation and genuine love all tied together is something only Mel carries with her. Cait certainly can't understand it, but she was trained for a few months at Ambessa's side, each other's shadow of a replacement for their respective mother daughter losses. And sometimes that's enough.

Sometimes the spark you need to finally heal your inner child and stand up to your mother is your feral twenty two year old baby sister in law essentially choosing to die fighting rather than bow to your mother's will. Just that one little push past the point of no return, and suddenly your mother is dead and you have killed her and she is finally, finally proud of you.
