Wait. Seriously, hold on. This post is hunting me right now because I think I can finally put my fingers on why USA Christianity is weirding me out since the beginning.
As an European, it baffles me how much of the population identify as Christians while acting and saying things like they've never read the Bible in the first place. Except they did, in some extant, because they're the one that quote it so often (we don't do that here, we might refer to a specific part but don't really quote the Bible?). So why, why do they act as if they never read love your neighbor, give the other cheek, Father forgive them etc.?
Because they want to be warriors actually. They want a wrathful God. And there is God's anger in the Bible, there is the wrath of God that must appealed and you must always feel guilty and ask for forgiveness*. But comes Jesus and what he says is basically 'no more'. No more wrath, no more anger, no more warriors. But humans love raging war.
And we fucking did throughout the whole history of Christians actually. You start by saying you're a warrior of Christ, that your virtue is your sword, your faith is your shield and so one. It's nice: you're being a good believer AND you get to have this badass, very virilis imagery of the warrior. But! If you're lucky enough, you'll even have a real war against some "pagans" (really, you don't have to worry about the specifics) and then! Ouh boy, you get to be a real warrior. Everything is perfect.
Which brings us to: why are these people not changing faith/God? Pick another, more angry God/deity or simply go with a "personal faith away from human's restricting religion". Answer: because it's so fucking hard. I'm studying theology so hard and sometimes it happens that I find Catholicism restricting, too verbose or too specific. Except I can't just ditch "my" religion. (To be fair, I also really don't want to because I decided to fight from the heart of the Church but that's another subject. Oh, and notice how I used fight --even I can't refrain from the manly warrior)
Okay, so what do we do? Well I say, we piss them off. And we do so by celebrating the fucking amazingness that is God made human just to fucking die. Jesus never won by any human standards. He was the ultimate loser. And ain't that absolutely beautiful? And humbling? How can you hate the Mexican who takes your job if God tell you to wash his feet as if you're below him? How can you decide who deserves right if you God tell you that you should strip yourself for a random stranger? I say we fight back by being unapologetically happy that God died for us. Not guilty. Happy. It's so, so beautiful that They love us so much and only want us to replicate a fraction of Their love to everyone we encounter. That we have to make ourselves a bit uncomfortable so a stranger can be a whole lot comfortable. That we have to renounce privileges and luxury so all human beings can have the exact same things and opportunities. That it is shameful to try to be better than anyone else. That it is shameful to try to be successful on our own because we're supposed to uplift everyone else before ourselves. That it is shameful not to be empathetic, vulnerable, open about our weaknesses etc.
So anyway, thanks OP because now I'm even more filled with spite that will fuels my love so I can spite their hatred.
*okay side note since you're still here: this is why in the first centuries, there was a heretic branch of Christianity very adamant on separating the Old testament God to the new gospel God.

Suck it and See ⸻ .03 how you met stoner Suguru.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
description: of all places, Geto Suguru didn't expect to meet a girl with knee high socks, who practically pulled him in like an eager sacrifice to the Siren— at a frat party surrounded by smoke.
cw: use of she/her pronouns, fem oriented reader, mentions of drugs, weed, and alcohol; nothing much this is mostly a meet cute-ish, lore stuff really, artic monkeys references everywhere, they mild nsfw stuff.
playlist inspired by the content.
Tumblr media
What a pleasure it is to be surrounded by sweaty people you barely know in a room full of smoke. All because your best friend is an extroverted social butterfly of a freak.
Safe to say, Geto Suguru would be anywhere but here right now. But maybe he does need some free alcohol and free cigarettes, a finance degree is the furthest thing from causation of sobriety. And as an average university student reliant on caffeine, alcohol, and cigarettes—completing his last semester and starting his big-time finance bro job later this year might I add—he is oddly conservative when it comes to weed though, if we're talking about ways to numb yourself.
The fact he has seen people actually do much worse actual hard drugs and yet he has a bigger opinion about the devil's lettuce of all things available out there. The only viable reason which can be given is that he had a stoner roommate during his first semester and it was the worst time of his entire university life. And honestly, he has seen Gojo get high for the sake of trying it, that was not fun for anyone but Shoko who was filming Suguru trying to stop Gojo from jumping off the balcony to chase a cat he apparently saw (there was no cat).
But these are excuses really. Well, Geto Suguru would not say he is repulsed by weed. In fact, he has tried it himself once. It was mostly about going along with his high school debate team who wanted to get high during one of their out-of-town tournaments. And guess what. High Suguru went on and blurted out all his little animosities to big grudges against everyone there and somehow fell asleep next to a trashcan in the hallway. Thankfully no one remembered and the video footage of all of this happening went into his hands first. He made sure to delete everything and ask around without being suspicious if anyone remembered anything he said. He was safe since they all forgot about everything.
Since then, he has steered clear of weed, it does odd things to him which no other substances do. Even when he is drunk out of his mind or buzzing with caffeine and nicotine, he is never impulsive. He always has control. And the fact he let that control slip is very scary. Matter of fact, despite his side hobby of making fun of a scared Gojo during horror movie marathons, Suguru himself didn't like being scared by something unknown or letting himself slip out in front of someone he would rather not have seen him like that .
Yet here he was, at one of the more famous frats who are known for their weed more than their alcohol and what not. I mean, it's not about where you end up but what you're looking for, right? Maybe that doesn't make much sense but so doesn't his last assignment of the semester before exams start, which carries 40% of his marks.
And for someone who isn't looking for weed, his amazing friend makes sure to pull him right into the room full of—who apparently seemed to be—stoners. Supposedly Satoru knows someone there, but he also knows way too many people for his liking. The amount of time he has to stop, stand, and stare around to wait for Satoru to finish chatting with yet another stranger—infinite really.
Regrets of ending up in that room without any alcohol in his hand, seemed to have flown right out of the room with the smoke. And it might as well have been the residual of weed in the air, but what's happening in his head was alarming. Right across from the person Satoru apparently knew, sat this gorgeous being, looking ever so effervescent and oozing mystique surrounded by clouds of smoke (he is a poet everyone). Wearing, what in his mind seemed like, the most poorly constructed skirt, practically giving away the secret eighth wonder of the world—which are those thighs. And is that fishnet? Someone please check on him, is he having a nosebleed? If not, that tight top perfectly snug around your chest, might do the job. More over the breasts, it was the neck. How can someone find a neck that beautiful? I wouldn't know, ask Suguru.
Real question is who wears knee high socks in the summer? He is not complaining, it somehow really works for you, and it works wonders on him. Again, it might be the weed. It has to be, because Geto Suguru, who is the most calculated person you'll know—sly little shit who is known for being the level headed, mysterious, lady's man— he may be just as much of a menace as Gojo and just as silly, he just knows how to mask it. And he's losing it. He's losing that control, because why aren't his ears working? His eyes refuse to focus on anything but you dragging a smoke out of the joint, which was passed to you by someone. And his legs are moving on their own towards the couch where you are sitting with the only person who you seem remotely interested in, 'might be her friend' he assumes, while ignoring this other guy who seems to be high off his mind talking about who knows what. His ears already made the effort of blocking out every sound, including Gojo's, who was calling him out because he wanted to introduce Suguru to his friend.
"Hey"
Real smooth from Mr. Lady's man over here. Incredible opener to introduce yourself to this person who may or may not be a witch cause why is he completely under this sort of trance as if he is the one sucking on that joint. Also, the fact he is just awkwardly standing in front of you while you look up at him through your lashes, unbothered and definitely high, still sitting on that couch—he must've inhaled too much weed smoke.
"Did you mean to say that to me? Because I think your friend needs you over there actually."
You say after blinking at him twice, then point across to you where Gojo and his friend are sitting. It's rather a given to be confused by this random long-haired Rapunzel to awkwardly stand before you like he doesn't know any better about how to interact socially, he's not drunk definitely, you saw him and his friend stroll in through the doors just a few minutes ago. Why would you even bother to care enough to remember that? Well, Rapunzel here is too gorgeous for his own good, secondly, you're high and feeling rather needy.
Pre-finals week suck, universal sentiment shared by all degree pursuing students. So here you are on this couch, in some frat, with your friend who's seeing one of the frat members. All you expected was some good quality rich boy weed and alcohol, nothing more really. Sleeping with someone you met at a frat party, reeks of STDs. And yet here you are looking at this gorgeous man looking like he doesn't have any thoughts behind his eyes, contrary to what you assumed, from afar he looked like a manipulative man whore. The world might be full of surprises or he's a theatre major.
"Huh?" — is all Suguru somehow manages to utter, it's illegal to smell that good while also smelling like weed, what god forsaken perfume you're using? Those eyes are enough, why do you need to crawl through all his five senses and wrap your hands around his brain.
"Huh." You say with one raised eyebrow. Seems like you've found yourself an excuse to escape.
"Seems like you don't know anything other than three lettered words starting with h."
He just stares into your eyes and lets you throw that jab at him. Really just too enchanted to speak, it's not that this is something he's choosing to do. He'd rather sit across from you and socialize with Gojo, while staring you down from time to time, then after much considerable eye contact, he'll slide himself to your side of the couch, asking your permission to have a seat, with much charisma no one can deny.
Yet here he is, not drunk, or losing his mind with weed—purely high off of sucking in your presence. This is only the second time he has lost control over a situation, and this time he is completely sober. New discoveries are made every second he supposed. Because if a sly talker like him, one who especially finds existential joy in countering the opposing person's jabs, is standing here tongue tied—he believes climate change can be reversed then. (How wishful)
You get off the couch to stand facing him, way too close to him for his sanity's sake, between the narrow gap between him and the couch—you might be shorter than him but your gaze is too piercing. And yet he cannot look away.
"Would you rather I dragged you out of this room? Maybe the smoke is getting to your head huh?"
Takes a second for Suguru to contextualize what you just suggested. And without any power to verbally respond, he simply nods into agreement. Somehow in that moment his incognizant brain decided that maybe leaving himself to your devices in this situation is the most natural thing to do. In fact, you might as well have all consumed him and he couldn't care any less.
All he cares about is that you're taking his hands in your hands, which made him think it might be a missing puzzle piece that only fits in perfectly with his, and dragging him out after a little bye to your friend and Gojo as well. Suguru is really out of it. He's not going to hear the end of it from Gojo, while he retells this story to their friends in the most overexaggerated way, which is so impossible given how ridiculous he is acting right now. Anything less dramatic than a Shakespearean play wouldn't do justice to exactly what played out in there. Yet Gojo Satoru will make sure to put a shame to Shakespeare's dramatics. That's his headache for later, let's focus on the ache in his palpitating heart.
You drag him out of that room, into the big living room or space and then drag him through the crowd to one of the rooms on the first floor, and take him straight to the balcony attached to it. The balcony sits right above the pool. Below you two, you can see most people congregating around there, swimming or just dancing or talking. Most of the speakers are there playing every frat bro's Spotify rotation probably. It's dark enough and tucked away nicely for anyone to notice you two there even if they look up—you saw this balcony the first time you visited this house with your friend cause of the guy she was seeing and since it was not a party, it was clear in the daylight that it was a nice place to people watch from. Or just enjoy the music,
'And her lips are like the galaxy's edge
And her kiss the colour of a constellation fallin’ into place'
Suguru couldn't agree more. If he didn't know any better— he'd say the song was about you. Because right now he is pulling out the lighter out of his pockets. Moving it towards your direction and halting halfway in the little space in between you two. Suguru wouldn't write this out as some kind gesture. He would never even think of sharing his prized lighter. It has been with him since he found it one day visiting his grandma's village home with his parents. Lying in a puddle of mud near the river that flowed behind her house. Scratch random people he wouldn't even let Satoru touch it or let Shoko take a light with it. Yet here he is— silently helping you out all because it looked like with the roll of a joint tucked in your bra, you forgot to bring a light.
You stare back and forth between the burning flame and his face. Contemplating perhaps. Then you move forward grab a hold on his hand, which was holding up the lighter, just a bit far for you to easily lean in and ignite the blunt. So you move, move to now sit face to face with him, both your knees on either side of his thighs—hovering over him, hands holding his, which was holding his silver lit up lighter. You lean forward probably closer to his face than the lighter even, all while keeping constant eye contact. You move your head to your left and finally burn the joint pressed in between your lips, after what seemed like an eternity.
Once the smoke comes out, you unwrap your lips from the joint and smile at Suguru, not one of those half smiles you've been throwing at him all this time. A genuine laidback smile.
"Thanks uh- oh wait I don't even know your name"
"Well I haven't given it to you yet."
"You gave me your lighter, might as well give me your heart. How much more could your name matter?"
Well he might as well have given you his heart and what even is in the name, if he could he would give you the entirety of the galaxy, but It would probably fade out in your comparison.
"Suguru. Geto Suguru."
"Nice to meet you Suguru."
"And what more might you need other than my lighter, heart, and name in exchange for your name?"
"I don't know? Anything tempting you are offering? Perhaps a seat right here?"
Did you mean right there? There on his lap?
"I wouldn't ever deny you anything."
So you did in fact mean his lap. Cause you perch right up on there and drag a long smoke out of your joint, blowing the smoke up in the sky above you two.
"L/n Y/n. And I'll hold you onto that claim."
"Do you always ask people for names in exchange for a seat on their lap?" Suguru smirks and tries to regain some confidence and control over the situation. If he wants to keep you right where you are, he would need to get out of the haze of intoxication — which was ironically not the weed in the air but just your existence.
"I never really ask for names. Really bad at remembering them. And as for seats, hmm I don't know. Your legs looked more comfortable and warm than the cold floor. And you looked sweet."
"Sweet?"
"Why? Does that not describe your —chase Atlantic and Artic Monkeys, cigarette smoker, fuck weed i am better than that, only dark colors— aesthetic?"
"How did you know I don't like weed?"
"Made a face right as you walked into the room down there. Also anyone else would've asked to borrow this by now." You move the blunt in between your fingers slightly to signify what you're talking about.
"Does that not bother you?"
"I mean it doesn't bother you that I am smoking this right in your face, if you had said something I would've respected that as well. I don't really care what you think is the standard for intoxication."
Suguru just smiles. He doesn't really have a topic exactly to speak about. He is in fact not capable of doing much right now you've rid him of the taste of control and the only taste he wants to be acclimated with from this moment onwards is yours. And he doesn't care about this change. He knows your name, he knows the feel of your fishnets against your skin. He knows the material of your lethal skirt. He knows the vanilla and jasmine notes of your perfume. He knows the exact color of your eyes and how many eyelashes you have. And he thinks that is enough.
'You have got that face that just says
"Baby, I was made to break your heart"'
You might as well break his heart, do as you please with it. It burnt away from his grasp the moment you burnt the end of your joint using his lighter.
"Looks like they are more intoxicating than any drug in existence." Was he talking about the blunt? Because his eyes were aimed at your lips. And he was unaware of what he even let slip out of his own lips.
"Suck it and see. You never know."
Not wasting a second with your unaware confirmation, Suguru moves forward. The hand on your fishnet clad thigh tightens, digging into the supple skin, weaving the fingers with the fishnet itself. The other hand, coming up to your lips, taking out the joint and throwing it out somewhere on the balcony, his fingers first touch your lips with light touches as if one touch is too heavy and you'll disperse into thin air. Slowly the fingers on your lips start pressing down on, well past both of your lips, making an audible gasp leave your mouth involuntarily. His fingers dig around the entrance to your mouth— rubbing your lips, then proceeds to press down on your tongue and graze over your teeth interchangeably. All while staring into your eyes, or staring at you, your eyes might as well be all white or shut close. Anything partially visible, is all a blur.
And you allow him all of it. You allow him to twist his fingers up to rub his rough finger pads on the along the expanse of your hard palate and soft palate, borderline trying to choke you. You simply allow it. You allow those hands to explore parts of you even out of your own reach. One digging in your mouth, other trying to make itself at home on your thighs—practically memorizing every little stretch mark running along your skin. He wants to know it all, have it all and who are you to deny a starved man?
When he's had enough of his little exploration, his own pairs of lips come crashing down on you. A sigh of almost a relief, leaves both your lungs. It is not quite relief, it is nice to finally have him kiss you—but his lips are the kind to leave your head dizzy, head swaying, forgetful of the whole process of breathing through your nose while he devours you, eyes flickering like unreliable headlights on the highway. You might as well be crashing out.
His lips are caging in yours, tongue fencing with yours, hands roaming around you like he's gonna find the most prized treasure on the surface of your skin. Guiding your hips to force down on his lap and roll them into little grids of desperation. Who was exactly the desperate one here?
At that point it all becomes too overwhelming to have your ability to breath taken away. So you push him off, with no ease. It was as if pushing him and pulling yourself back simply made him hold onto you harder. And when his lips did leave you alone, they go on to chase your lips to find his rightful place back on them.
You put one of your hands on his mouth to halt him, all that does is make you have goosebumps all over your body—having him look up to you with his desperate and hazed mono lids, the purple-brownish shade of his pupils burning you up. And him just heaving in your hand, short of breath, was of no help either.
“I was talking about the joint.” you breath out with an exasperated sigh.
“Well I am not sorry.” He leaves a feather light kiss on your hand covering his mouth.
“What even are you?” Genuinely, how does a man with gorgeous hair and horrible vocabulary make you fold so easily?
“‘I am a fool for you.”

FALL FROM GRACE
do not desire her beauty in your heart, and do not let her capture you with her eyelashes. put to death that which is earthly inside you.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: priest!sunday x succubus!f!reader
themes/content: dubcon (char!receiving - he says "stop" and it's basically ignored, and there's some heavy coercion/corruption stuff going on here), somno depending on how you look at it (succubi technically visit people in their dreams, so he's asleep ? sorta?), lots of religious guilt around sex, heavy catholic religious imagery (literally straight up bible verses). smut. handjobs, fingering/masturbation, p in v. i wanted to explore the rigidity and internalized shame sunday feels so uh . here's this ! (wk: 3.6k)
a/n: me when he's burdened and tormented (also i had to put my religious trauma somewhere ! hope it's yummy) :3333
Tumblr media
The first night is always the most fun.
They never wake, not on this visit; the mind is a simple thing to trick, eager to make excuses for the gentle touches trailing over one’s torso, down their chest. A dream, they call it, a ready and waiting path to forgiveness.
The second night is usually the same - feather-light hands, breathy kisses - but you find Sunday to be a near-impossibly light sleeper when he begins to stir beneath you. Pinned under thighs that straddle his waist, his eyelashes flutter, nearly roused; his lips part, almost a sigh. It’s an uncanny thing to be so beautiful and so unaware; you wonder if he’s grateful for this gift. With a quick peck, you send him back into the waiting arms of slumber.
The third night you visit him, his eyes open slowly, still clouded by dreams. It’s rather obviously unexpected to be found in this position, with a stranger resting over him, smiling, trapped beneath their weight.
“Who are you?” he breathes, barely above a whisper. There’s no fear behind his gaze, only shimmering curiosity.
“Who do you think I am?”
Your fingers trail lower, tracing circles into his abdomen. It’s a fitting pattern for what you’ve seen of him: controlled, precise, predictable. No hard edges or uncertainty, just smooth and calm. Something about a vow, you think, has made him like this. Poverty. Chastity. Obedience. A promise to a power too self-righteous for your taste.
His eyebrows furrow as he attempts to focus upon you, vision still blurry. The most beautiful thing he’s ever seen, curves casting shadows under the fading starlight, black lace and soft skin. Then, there’s a flash of horns, a flicker of your tail, the markings below your abdomen pulsing through the dark. He swallows. “What are you?”
Ruby lips spread into a grin, one that veers sinister - he’s such a cute little thing, a chocolate covered strawberry, all sweet and flesh and blood. “An angel.”
The silk pillowcase rustles as he shakes his head, too innocent, too naive to do anything but be truthful. “No, you’re not.”
“No,” you lean forward, feeling his pulse thrum below your palm. “I’m not.” You kiss his cheek, and whisper a goodnight.
The fourth night, he’s more awake, but less verbal. Instead, sun-bright eyes follow your movements, the crackling fingerprints that travel his skin. He lets you touch him, lets you trace out the muscles lying below the surface, feel the nerves and arteries that quicken under your touch. Drowsy little whines leave his throat, barely a sound, as you work. Up wrists, over shoulders, to collarbones, counting ribs and diving into his hips, along his thighs, and back again. It’s a beautiful routine, just light enough to keep him half-slumbering.
From there, it’s mostly the same - you touch and trace and tease him, and he watches, silent and mostly unconscious. A week passes, maybe two. The time doesn’t matter, not to you, not really. What matters is the way his skin sparks beneath your fingertips, the way his eyelashes flutter under the moon’s silken glow.
You aren’t granted the privilege of visiting him awake, not yet, at least. There’s no way for you to see the way he pours over text, books with cracked spines and dusty pages, to find the source of these…dreams, of the being that visits him and steals him from the respite of sleep. The word succubus is heavy in his mouth, more bitter than communion wine, with no unleavened sanctity coming after to dull the taste.
On the seventeenth night (you think, if your count is right), he wakes in a notably different position, no longer cradled by the mattress upon which he put himself to bed. Under the mottled moonlight, he finds himself sitting upright, the bare skin of his back resting against something much warmer than the wooden headboard.
“Good morning, Sunday,” you purr into his ear from behind.
He murmurs something, slowly turning over his shoulder to face you. For the briefest moment, you think you catch the flicker of a smile.
“Good morning, demon.”
“Oh?” you let out an airy chuckle. “So you’ve figured it out then. Good, I was worried all you priests were nothing more than fools.”
The lightest laugh brushes past his lips, allowing his eyes to rest for a moment. “I’m no fool. Now tell me, why are you here, demon?”
Through a feigned pout, your hands make their way back to his chest. “What, are you sick of me already? You don’t like me, is that it?”
“I have no particular feelings towards you.” He’s quick to respond, quicker even to remind himself of his place, of his duties, as your palms threaten to burn through his skin. Poverty. Celibacy. Obedience. Important ideals. Good ideals. Holy ones, at that.
Through a hum, you travel lower over his body. It’s a test, really, to see if he’ll stop you, grab your wrists and yank you from behind him and banish you from this place forever. It would take so little: a splash of holy water, or even a simple curse, and he’d be rid of you. Surely he found that little fact in his readings.
And yet, he simply follows your path downward with his gaze (you can’t say you’re truly that surprised - it has become your routine, after all. And Sunday cherishes his routines).
“No feelings for me, you say,” you say, pensively. Lower, and lower, and lower.
Just as his lips open to speak, to throw some calculated retort, your fingertips brush between his legs and the sound twists into something else, something needier, a noise he couldn’t have controlled with all the constitution in heaven.
You gasp at the response, too, awe bubbling inside your cheeks.
“Oh, Sunday,” you breathe. “You poor thing, you must be so pent up.”
“I- mmm.” With a second run of your palm over his hardening length, his eyes dance shut, his entire body shuddering.
“Don’t they allow you to touch yourselves here?”
It’s evil, this touch, coursing with sin and dark, dirty blasphemy. He ought to shut his mouth, rip out his vocal cords if that’s what it takes, and wait. Perhaps a blood smear above his lips would protect him, make you pass him over tonight and all nights thereafter.
“N-not in the monastery,” he chokes out. “It’s against the rules.”
He grants you the privilege of grazing his warming skin, before letting out a shaky breath. Thou shalt not covet. Dispel desire.
“You…you should stop.”
“Stop?” The absurdity leaks into your voice. “You’ve given up so much for this silly church, don’t you think? Why give this up, too? Don’t you deserve it?”
A pause, a steadying breath, to quiet your dissatisfaction disguised as rage.
“And besides, look how badly you need this. It feels good, doesn’t it?” An angel, caught in your trap; to think you may not even have to clip his wings. “Don’t you want to feel good, my dear Sunday?”
Eyelashes delve into the creases of his eyelids as he tightens them closed, lips pulled into a gasping frown. Everything in his mind, in the years of his training, of memorizing verses and teachings and sermons and rules and rules and rules, tells him to say no, to force a stop to this nonsense.
“And,” you perk up at his hesitation, “it won’t even be violating your so-called ‘rules’ if I’m the one touching you, right?”
Even through the feather-light touches, Sunday worries he’s losing his mind, like your fist might as well be piercing through his chest and ripping his soul from it, dragging it into hell with you. The thoughts that make it up his spine are too blurry with lust to let the more sluggish Reason through.
“Right.”
Smiling into his neck, you feel his carotid jump under your teeth. “Good, good. So just let me do this, okay?”
So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual immorality, impurity, lust, and evil desires.
He says the words over, and over, and over in his mind.
Do not be greedy, for a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world.
He knows better than to make idols.
And yet, all he can do is nod his head.
He doesn’t face you, of course, buried under the shame of it. If the church was any older, he’d worry the brick would collapse in on him at any second, to punish him for the sin he was too weak to avoid committing. Perhaps he should be turned to salt, a fate befitting of his pathetic disobedience.
“Okay.”
It’s immediate, the way he relaxes when you finally reach below his boxers. The heat of your touch melts him, his throat craning as it releases strained whines. He’s heavy in your hand, a weight his so-called gods would surely commend, if they could spare such thoughts. Soft skin, unsoiled, untainted. Utterly holy.
As you stroke him with a tenderness only known to the clouds of salvation, he looks nothing short of angelic, the arch of his spine making space where wings ought to be, the tickle of his hair soft like a crowned halo. And you, wrapped around him like a flame, carry him through the air. Lower, and lower, and lower. To soften the blow when one falls from grace.
It takes so little for him to shake, to shudder and cry and bend, until you worry his shoulders may snap if you weren’t caging his torso against yours. His head falls back, slack-jawed and awe-struck, as he releases into your palm, pumps of white coating your hand.
It’s a beautiful thing, the sounds he makes, the purity of it. White and cream and gold, just as you’d imagine heaven to be.
There’s waves of pleasure, his stomach clenching with each one, pushing him further and further into you, and you swallow him whole, welcoming with open arms.
Slowly, you press your lips to his cheek, scalding hot.
“Goodnight, Sunday.” And he falls into your chest.
It grows increasingly difficult for him to hide the dreams (at least, that’s what he would convince himself they are). It’s been months now, although truthfully, you’ve stopped counting.
Every night, he falls into a troubled, humid sleep. Every morning, he wakes to a mess, still half-hard and panting.
And yet, he’s more relaxed, his shoulders less tense. When he turns to the parish, his neck moves more easily. As a well-educated (well-trained) man, he assumes he hides it well, but his relief is palpable, a taste too thick to anyone who knows him.
“You seem different lately, Sunday,” Father Wood observes casually.
With his back facing him, Sunday conceals the way his spine tightens. “How do you mean, Father?”
Pensively, Father Wood lights the altar’s candles, an honor given only to those most highly ordained, an honor Sunday used to dream of performing (now, of course, his dreams are consumed by other desires).
“Just…different, is all.”
Sunday’s attention falls to the flames before him, to the way they dance nervously despite the still, stagnant air inside the church. Perhaps they know something he doesn’t.
“I’ve been spending more time in the library lately. Perhaps my reading has enlightened me.”
“Perhaps,” Father Wood echoes. With quiet purpose, he lights the final candle. “This church is your home, my boy. You had nothing before you came here. I remember the day we took you in, the day you were saved.”
There’s a pit in his stomach, one that grows and grows and grows; he’d expect it to taste like acid, but all he gets is honey. “I remember it, too.”
Father Wood hums, facing away. “‘If our minds are ruled by our desires, we will die.’” A pause, a flickering flame. “Sunday, I trust you not to forget the oaths you swore.”
A shiver runs up his neck. Poverty. Chastity. Obedience. “Of course not, Father.”
That night, you meet Sunday in bed. Normally it’s little trouble to untuck the sheets, to find the welcoming skin of his thighs, but tonight he seems determined to bury himself within the blankets.
“Sunday,” you say. He fails to respond, but his ears twitch. “Sunday, I know you’re awake.”
One eye slowly cracks open, revealing the sun behind his eyelids. “Go away.”
“Excuse me?” you choke a laugh. “You want me to ‘go away’?”
Closing his eyes, he hums in affirmation.
Within your chest, your heart flutters - he’s so cute when he thinks he’s in control. Perhaps that’s why you chose him (the chase is always the most fun, the tension of it all; you think Eve’s first bite of the apple must have been underwhelming compared to its weight in her palm).
Perhaps your routine will bring him back. Slowly, you trail a finger along his collarbone - before he pulls away. Curling himself onto his side, he tucks his knees to his chest and shuts you out.
This is certainly a novel development. And it certainly will not do.
“Fine then,” you state, leaning back to the corner of the mattress.
In response, his left ear twitches, but he gives no other response. So be it.
Against the wooden footboard, you open your legs, visible if he were only to turn towards you. With well-practiced hands, you easily slide the black lace panties down your knees, letting them fall at your ankles and leaving you bare (it requires few garments to do your work successfully, after all - they’re made for this).
Silently, you spread your ever-wet folds open. With your other hand, you draw circles around your clit, slowly, tauntingly. Delving into your own heat, a sound of relief comes as an exhale, one that finally has Sunday’s gaze peeking from between his eyelashes.
“What are you doing?”
“If you don’t want me to touch you, I guess I’ll just have to touch myself instead,” you say. The words flow easily, thick like milk and honey, something sweet, something to help him sleep.
This time, his eyes remain open.
His mouth does, too.
Silent except for the ragged breaths coming past his lips, he watches you pleasure yourself, the way your fingers curl, knuckles disappearing only to reappear shining. The inky pattern adorning your womb morphs and glows; a spot of saliva catches in the dim light, and he makes no move to wipe it away.
With an arch of your back and a tilt of your head, you beckon him closer - always such an obedient little thing, your Sunday (he was praised for it, once); he slowly rises. The mattress shifts beneath his weight, holding it unsteadily, as he crawls towards you. Unwavering attention held raptly between your thighs.
“Sunday,” you say, to snap him out of the trance that pulls him towards you. He says nothing, a small trail of drool spilling from the corner of his perfectly eager lips. “Sunday.”
His eyes snap up to yours, the sun eclipsed behind the growing shadow of his pupils.
Your palm cradles his jaw, thumb wiping away the glistening desire. “Are you going to behave now?”
A blank stare.
A fragile nod.
“Good.” Your grin splits the earth open with wicked flames, poking between your teeth. He drinks in the heat with a starving throat, ignoring the way it burns (or reveling in it).
A sparkling star shines in his eyes, nearly glowing. You pull the two fingers from your cunt, still warm and sticky and sweet, and hold them before his face.
You don’t even have to tell him to open his mouth - obedience is such a lovely thing.
When your taste lands upon his tongue, he releases a moan like molten gold. His lips close around your fingers and he sucks and licks the essence from them, hungry and gnawing. Your fingertips glide over his molars and he fights the urge to bite, to claim (a well-trained dog is still just a dog, after all).
There’s a half-hearted whine when you remove your skin from his, one that makes your cheeks ache.
“Tell me what you want, my dear Sunday. Anything you want.”
If our minds are ruled by our desires, we will die.
Perhaps dying here tonight, with your taste still lingering in his throat, would be a graceful demise. A martyr of his sacrilege.
Already, he looks ravished, his cheeks dusted red and eyes wild and unfocused. The pretty ones are always the most fun to ruin, to dirty with desecration; they look so beautiful as they fall.
“I want-” there’s a lump in his throat where his servitude lives, where the years of holiness coalesced and stayed. He swallows heavily. “I want to feel good. I want you to make me feel good.”
“Ah,” you breathe. “I suppose I can do that.”
“But-” he catches himself. Rules, and rules, and rules. They clog up his esophagus, his vocal cords straining to get past them.
With a gentle finger, you hush his worries. “Just let me take care of you. Let me make you feel good, okay?”
He exhales, a shaky sound. “Okay.”
It takes little pressure to recline him onto the bed, the sheets already dampening from the sweat collected in the hollows of his back. He lets you undress him, lets you place scalding kisses into his skin, soft and sweet as a fig. Ripe like one, too.
Only two pumps of your fist up his length and he’s already leaking, twitching and aching.
“So eager,” you coo when his hips rut into the air, chasing your touch.
“M-my apologies,” he says weakly.
“Nothing to be sorry for, my sweet Sunday. Pleasure is a thing to be worshiped, don’t you think?”
They’d bury him for this. The other priests would crucify him and leave his body out to rot. He’d deserve it, he wouldn’t even complain, he’d be perfectly obedient until his very last breath.
As your thighs encase his, as you line his tip to your entrance, as you sink down, slowly, slowly, slowly, until you’re flush with him, until you’ve swallowed him whole and nestled him inside of you, his vision goes white and he feels the warm smile of forgiveness.
“Yes.”
From behind, your tail twitches into his peripheral vision. A cruel reminder, a crash and burn. Melted wings and the sea. But then your hips circle, once, twice, and he forgets himself again, he enjoys the fall.
His hands fly to your waist, before they’re swatted away with a click of your tongue and a sparkle in your eyes. “Ah, no touching me, remember? Those are your rules, after all.”
“Right.” Instead, his fists dig into the sheets, knuckles turning white.
With each plunge of your warmth up and down his cock, he’s reborn, fresh and gasping, each breath burning like the first. Crescent moons carve into his palms, and he groans.
“Is this…is this real?”
A chuckle bubbles from your throat. “Do you want it to be?”
He hesitates for a moment, lets your hand rest on his unsteady heart, lets your skin stick to his. Just below it, a knot forms, the strings tightening and tightening and tightening under years of strain.
“Yes.”
You fill his vision, all-consuming, eating the space between you with sharp teeth. When you speak, it’s a low sound, a rumbling purr. It makes his stomach clench. “Good.”
His breaths come in faster, now that he knows it’s real, that the heat creeping up his neck and down his legs is real, that this is happening. That something exists that feels this fucking good.
And then, all at once, the knot unties itself. The moans he releases are holy, more beautiful than a choir with all its ordained voices.
Damp palms grab at your hips, and you let them. With greedy fingers he holds you in place, fucking himself up into you. Tears well in his eyes and in the blurry haze, he thinks he sees heaven. It opens itself before him, warm and beckoning, in the space between your thighs.
“God, fuck,” he exhales, and you grin.
“How blasphemous, Sunday.”
If he hears you, he gives no indication. Curses tumble from his lips, raw edges cutting his lungs.
He chases a high with urgency, with uncoordinated thrusts and a too-tight grip. His dedication is truly a virtue.
It’s only a moment before he stills, eyes widening, jaw falling open to release an angelic cry. Truly beautiful as he falls, as he comes undone. In the space below his arched spine, you swear there’s a momentary flutter of wings.
Eyelashes open and close, as if to prove that this is not, in fact, real. But the heat still encircling him is proof enough. He shivers.
“Fuck,” he whispers, more to himself than anything.
“Oh Sunday,” you hum, fingers tracing ribs that rise and fall unevenly. There’s a twinge of something mixed into the pride, something sadder, something longing. “This certainly has been fun.”
“Fuck,” he says again. Dread settles on his shoulders, heavy, heavier than duty or scriptures or a grave, than a cross. “Will I…?”
“Be excommunicated for this? Probably not,” you smirk.
Weakly, he shakes his head, sweaty strands of hair sticking to the pillowcase below. “Will I see you again?”
The question makes your heart flutter. How cute.
“If you’d like to, my dear.” With a gentle hand, you brush the fringe from his forehead. “Anything you want.”
At that, he relaxes, his shoulders sinking deeper. With heavy eyelids, his blinking slows. “Good.”
How beautiful he looks like this, half-conscious and spent, utterly debauched. Utterly holy.
“But for now, get some rest.” Warm lips press into his cheek, and he leans into them with a hum. “Goodnight, Sunday.”

yeah it was also interesting to me how mike sort of inserted himself into things that concerned will in s1-2 when he was in trouble. that was when mike felt like a driving force for the plot and like the "real" heart of the party. but when will isn't in immediate danger and mike leaves him behind, it feels like his character has just less to do which is interesting considering how he's properly dating el by the time s3 rolls around.
in s1 mike is spearheading the kids' search for will and believes he's alive even after seeing his "body" because he thought he heard will's voice (similar to joyce) even when lucas thinks he's crazy. and then in s2 he inserts himself into the byers' household even after joyce tries to politely tell him that will is "tired". like going after will and taking care of him is just something he understands and automatically does even if there is social pushback.
in s2 it's el that's missing, but mike doesn't do much besides try to call her on the walkie talkie even after thinking he saw her. i used to attribute this to mike literally seeing el "die" in front of him at the end of s1, but then i also remembered that he literally saw will's body be dragged out of a lake and just hearing his voice was enough to get him to spring to action. he never saw el's body.
yeah idk i feel like it's fair in some way that mike reacted differently to these two "deaths" but it was always weird to me that mike felt the most like an integral character whenever he was connected to will rather than el. it makes it feel like his relationship with el does him a disservice as a character. in s3 he really starts to feel like more of just a love interest to me. maybe this is the narrative validating his insecurities in s4 about not being needed or necessary, especially to el?
I find it interesting how right before the rain fight, Lucas suggests calling the girls to apologize, and Mike’s response is, “We can do that?”
Meanwhile, the second Will stars getting mad, Mike tells Lucas, “No, we want to keep playing, right?”
Mike always feels the need to check if things are “allowed” when he’s with El. He lied to her because Hopper made him. He complains to Lucas that Hopper isn’t allowing them to see each other. He goes to the mall to buy El a present, because Lucas told him to. He listens to the straight men around him and follows their rules.
With Will, he doesn’t think. He does what comes naturally to him without any regard for societal norms. He doesn’t ask Lucas if he can run off to apologize to Will. He doesn’t need permission to hang out with him.
(Also, in s1, Mike only started liking El because Lucas said he did. Lucas and Hopper and his dad also told him not to go looking for Will, and what did he do? He went against social pressure)

(Yandere Otome Isekai Harem [commoner MLs] x Reader)
"Thrust into an unfamiliar world, you have to navigate your role as the Heir to the Arrington Estate. Luckily for you, you have allies that are eager to help you. Maybe a little too eager, in fact."
The Arrington Estate [Chapter 1]
Tumblr media
When you wake up, the first thing you want to do is throw up. You feel so deathly ill that you’re on the cusp of feeling like you’re not alive at all. But you’re in so much pain that you know you have to be alive – there’s no other way your nerves would be filled with what feels like molten lava.
“Breathe.” A voice, gentle and low, soothes from beside you. A warm hand settles itself on your back and you’re not even sure how you managed to register it, but you do. “Drink.”
You’re not fully conscious of how the liquid pours down your throat, but you soon find your eyes fluttering shut. Your nerves settle down as you’re lulled into a peaceful rest.
Time is foreign to you when you wake up. Your body still feels heavy, but it doesn’t hurt like it did prior. Processing things is difficult, your mind being bogged down with thoughts that have no end. All you can do is stare at the ceiling made of ornate golden patterns. Gorgeous, but…
It isn’t familiar to you.
Panic should be shooting through your spine, but there’s a feeling of… emptiness that seems to sink into your heart, making the situation seem dull rather than frightening.
“Are you awake?”
You didn’t even realize that there is someone beside you – beside the bed you’re in. Slowly, you turn your head to see a man sitting poised and proper on a wooden chair. His long chestnut colored hair is tied in a neat ponytail, a pleasant smile on his face. But what really draws your attention are his eyes – golden, almost.
“It appears that your complexion has returned. That is a relief,” he says, but you can’t really discern the emotion on his face.
“Who are you?” The words come out of your mouth before you’ve even processed them inside your brain.
There’s something eerie about the way his expression shifts – it doesn’t shift too noticeably, but there’s a hint of pensiveness that makes you nervous.
“My, I suppose your illness has rendered your memory quite poor. That is unfortunate,” he murmurs, but you’re not entirely sure if he means it or not. It’s a weird contrast – he speaks so kindly, so gently, that he seems so harmless. But he is a stranger to you. You don’t know him – if you can trust him.
Perhaps he notices the wariness on your face, but he relaxes his body somewhat, offering you a friendlier smile as he introduces himself, “My name is Geoffry Cullen. I am your butler.”
“B… Butler? Mine?” you ask, your brain fog slowly receding. Everything about this situation is so foreign to you, from the ornate ceiling to the luxurious bed you’re on to the man who claims he serves you.
You’re pretty sure this isn’t the life you remember.
“Yes, yours.”
“Who am I, then?” you ask, trying to piece together something – anything that can give you a hint.
“Why, you’re the heir to the Arrington Estate,” he states as if it is the most obvious fact in the world. And perhaps it is the most obvious fact to everyone but you.
You can’t help but doubt the validity of this “fact” that’s been told to you because, while you don’t remember much, you do remember something:
You are, in fact, not the heir to the Arrington Estate.
Perhaps your expression gives away your entire dilemma, because Geoffrey offers you a sympathetic smile. It’s the kindest he’s looked so far.
“You must be hungry. Let me bring you your meal.” He stands up gracefully, adjusting his suit jacket as he does so. “In the meantime, please get some more rest.”
He bows, before exiting the room, leaving you alone with your thoughts. You’re still utterly lost and confused, the uncertainty of your own situation making you nervous.
Despite your legs still feeling wobbly, you force yourself to rise. Stumbling, you make your way to the mirror. It’s probably the fanciest mirror you’ve ever seen – it almost looks like a jewelry box. It’s so fancy that you’re undoubtedly certain that you aren’t home. There’s no way you could ever afford a mirror of this quality.
What’s odd, though, is that you actually see yourself in the reflection. A part of you wondered if you’d possess another body or something of that sort, but… you look identical to how you remember looking. But you shouldn’t look like yourself, right? After all, the butler – Geoffrey – had claimed that you are the heir to the Arrington Estate, which you aren’t.
Now that you’ve been allowed to wake up fully without the pain from prior, things are slowly coming back to you. You recall your home, your friends, your family; and it’s all just so normal compared to the grand room you’ve found yourself in. This room feels too fantastical to be real.
In fact, it reminds you of the stories you had read about reincarnation and transmigration back in your world. Everything, from your confusion to the room to the butler, seems like the hallmarks of one of the transmigration or reincarnation stories you had read back then. Only… you’re not certain what story you’re in. Geoffrey as a character is unfamiliar to you. The Arrington Estate as a place is unfamiliar to you.
Furthermore…
Why do you still look like yourself?
You can’t wrap your head around it. Sure, some people retained their appearance when they got teleported into another world, but they usually had a role that did not already exist. These people are the “hero” that got called to help save the world, so it makes sense that they retained their appearance.
But it doesn’t make sense for you. You’re considered the Heir to the Arrington Estate, meaning that you must’ve taken over the role of someone who already exists. And yet you still look like yourself.
You groan, feeling tired. You feel lost and confused. There are too many things you don’t understand – too many variables.
It’s all too much for you.
Slowly, you trudge back to your bed, settling yourself under the plush covers. You’re pretty sure that the blanket itself is enough to pay your rent for a year. You don’t even want to think about how much the pillows, the bed, the entire room may cost. You’re certain that it’s more money than you would’ve been able to see in ten lifetimes, at least.
But now you’re able to see all this money – it’s yours, technically.
It doesn’t make sense. None of it makes sense. It makes your heart beat loudly inside your brain, making your ears ring as you stare up at the ornate ceiling. Somehow, looking at the ceiling makes the buzz in your brain quiet. Your eyes follow the curves and edges highlighted in gold. Your eyes follow the ceiling’s patterns again and again and again until you lull your tired body into a dreamless slumber.
Geoffrey returns to your room a bit later, only to see you slumbering peacefully. He places your meal down on your bedside table, before taking a seat on the wooden chair by your bedside. Quietly, he watches as your chest rises and falls softly, breathing even in your sleep.
Yes, you must’ve been quite tired, that much is certain. It’s not easy to come back from death, after all. And you should be dead, yet somehow aren’t.
“Curious, isn’t it?” he murmurs, softly, his gaze lingering on your face for any clues.
Yes, it’s quite curious. You should be dead. He was certain that you wouldn’t be able to recover.
Oh, yes, he was quite certain.
After all, he’s the one that killed you.
And yet, here you are.

"Oh, monna gi! I do not see many of your kind here, and I'm here from a neighboring settlement. My title is "The Chronicler", and I must record that you were here - among the many other things I must record. First off, what is your name, and second, where are you from, monna gi?"
Tumblr media
Marbles stirs, woken up from her half-nap by an unfamiliar voice. Monna gi? She turns to the stranger as her own eyes readjust to the faintly lit shelter corridor.
A tall scavenger woman stands before her, wielding what appears to be a file of paper in one hand. A… ledger? The symbols on her forehead and the little flask tied to a belt suggest that she is a wandering scholar. The quality of the harness that she wears, as well as a string of big shiny pearls on the woman's neck make Marbles think she must be an important person. You do not often see scavengers don such expensive clothing.
Chronicler smiles and repeats her question to Marbles, who is still a bit disoriented. "Ah, I apologize for interrupting your nap, but I’d like to ask you a couple of questions before everyone goes to their sleeping cells for hibernation. May I know your name?"
Monna gi means "blue one" in Yoŋasabi, the native language of slugcats. Marbles is transfixed. Her familial name is Blue, but last time anyone has called her that… it was a very, very long time ago. Must be a coincidence, surely. Her own fur is of blue tint. The slugcat nods at Chronicler, letting her know the question was heard and accepted.
"Sorry, sorry. My name Marbles. Maban. Like… how do I translate this into scav language? Small round stone, but shiny, see-through."
Tumblr media
The Chronicler settles down and opens her ledger. "I see, I see. What a lovely name. What about your place of origin? Have you travelled far?" the scavenger's voice is gentle and warm, as if she's talking to an old friend. In the paper-filled folder there are rows upon rows of handwritten glyphs in a language Marbles does not fully recognise.
Truly, the odds of meeting two scavengers with even a rudimentary knowledge of scuglang is unheard of. Marbles blinks, trying to bring her distracted mind back to earth. She takes a minute before uttering "...I'm, I'm from here, actually. Came back to visit my old home".
"Oh, really?" Chronicler replies enthusiastically. "That's so sweet. But please be careful around these areas. There are a lot more vultures and lizards now. Many tribes have designated patrols to spot dangers and dispatch hunting teams. They are likely to stop you and question you, simply because this is strictly scavenger territory. The main routes are safe, though. You will know, because they are marked with white and blue glyphs. I would suggest sticking to the main roads for as long as you can" she finishes writing something down in her ledger, then scoops it up.
"Thank you kindly, mahin. This will do. Have a good rest tonight!"

Could I pleasssse request a smut/fluff fic with Logan where he secretly likes the reader and doesn't like the readers bf? The reader is in their early to mid twenties and has been best friends with Logan for years and he snaps one night when her bf is being an asshole 👀 thank you so much 😭
warnings: Angst to fluff, asshole boyfriend, he's mutant hating low key, threats, fighting
a/n: Hehehe i fucking LOVE a good jealousy fic, also I based the asshole ex on multiple asshole exes of my own lol.
Tumblr media
Things were well and truly complicated. You always knew what being a mutant meant for your relationship life. Having to dip your toes into the water to see if they the kind of person who wanted your kind dead or if they were more open to the idea of mutants.
Even then you ran into all kinds of assholes. If you could even get past the first date then you'd have to drop the bomb that you work at a mutant school with mutant children. Safe to say your dating life was pretty empty.
"You here again sweetheart?" You roll your eyes when you hear Logan's voice. It's Friday night and you're sitting in the living room of the mansion with a root beer.
“Yeah, so are you.” You bite back. He just chuckles and takes a seat next to you. Spreading his legs until his knee knocks into yours.
“Weren’t you supposed to go out with that kid, what was his name Jacob or…”
“Jason. Yeah he canceled when he saw the pick up address.” You remember the absolute terrified voice he spoke to you in, afraid you were going to melt his bones through the phone or something.
“You really know how to pick em.” You shove Logans shoulder as he laughs.
“Fuck off, I don’t see you getting any action lately either.”
“That’s because I’m not interested in dating some stranger.” He grumbles.
Truth is Logan hasn't been interested in anyone except for you for a while now. Its been years and as pathetic as it sounds Logan was too afraid to say anything. But there's no reason to mess up a good thing right? Plus it's not like you've been showing any interest in him.
“Look, any guy would be lucky to have you sweetheart, you just need to find the right one."
"Feels like I've been searching forever. Feels like I should make a marriage pact or something." You say with a groan.
"A marriage pact?" "Logan questions.
"Yeah you know, if we haven't found someone by the time we're forty we just, get married."
"We?" Your eyes widen and you start to flounder. The last thing you want is for Logan to think you're a creep or something. It's not like you fantasize about Logan or anything. Totally not.
"Not you, I mean if you wanted to then sure but I was just talking hypothetically you know. I mean god could you imagine you and I?" The words tumble out of your mouth with no filter. You just can't stop yourself. Logan cocks and eyebrow and you pray for something, anything to happen to help you shut up.
"Yeah...hard to picture you and I" Logan's face hardens as he talks.
Like he thought before, you don't want him. You could just burst into flames right here and now. The tension is palpable. Logan has been your friend for a long time but he never fails to make you a little nervous. He shouldn't have this hold over you but god he's just so big and intimidating.
"You know what? We should go out." You say abruptly.
"What? Hey give that back!" You grab the beer out of his hand and he looks at you confused.
"It'll be fun please, I'll buy the first round." You offer and he thinks for a second.
"Fine."
You don't really know what drove you to want to come here. It was loud and crowded and you and Logan had gotten separated after the first drink. Maybe you just wanted to avoid the odd feelings you get whenever you're alone with him. Plus that last conversation was awkward as hell.
You sigh as you swirl your drink around. You spot Logan across the room. He's leaning against the wall while a very pretty red head is all in his space. Your heart clenches as you notice the cocky smile on his face and how he's not pushing her away. Guess someone is getting lucky tonight and it isn't you.
"Hey, couldn't help but notice a beautiful girl all by herself." You look to your side to see a guy slide into the seat next to you. He seems nice enough. He's cute and all.
"Oh I'm here with a friend." You say looking back at Logan.
"Yeah, he seems busy to me. The name's Carter. Let me buy you a drink, no strings attached I swear." He offers. You take one last look at Logan, that woman's hand snaking up his arm. Fuck it.
"Alright deal."
Things since that night have been, a little off. You went home with Carter after Logan had disappeared. Carter was nice enough, at least he was at first. He treated you nice, bought you flowers. He didn't care you were a mutant or that you worked at a mutant school. He was the perfect gentleman. For the first couple months.
It happened so slowly you didn't even notice at first. You spent less time at the mansion, instead now spending it with him. The kids started to miss you and so did your friends but you were happy and they were happy you were happy.
You rarely saw Logan anymore. Ever since you came home from the bar he had been avoiding you, or something. Carter would come by the mansion but his nice guy persona seemed to fade the more he spent with everyone. It didn't help that one of your students accidently lit him on fire once. That's when the fights started.
He didn't trust the kids there, said they were dangerous. He would tell you that he liked mutants but h was worried for your safety. And he really didn't like Logan. The first time the two of them met it ended in a fight on the car ride back to his place. Logan was a strong personality and the two men clashed.
Soon every time your job got brought up it ended in a fight. He'd talk bad about your students, about your friends, about Logan. Carter wanted to keep you away from there because he loved you but they were your family.
He loved you, you had to believe it was all because he loved you. I mean you had spent so long looking for a man who didn't care about your job or your mutant abilities and Carter was that guy. At least you thought he was. You won't find anyone better. Carter liked to say that. It's hard to come by someone who's okay with what you are. So you just had to believe he did it all because he loved you.
"Do we really have to go to this stupid thing? Can't we just stay in..." Carters hand snakes up your leg but you bat his hand away making him huff.
A pissed off look on his face as you drive to the mansion. It was a simple staff party but it had been too long since you got to relax with all your friends. Carter had insisted on coming along but right now you wish he had just stayed home, especially if he was going to complain the whole time.
"This is really important to me. We don't have to stay long I promise." You say in a cheerful tone but Carter just rolls his eyes.
"Whatever." It was exhausting. To Carter anything he wanted to do was fine but as soon as there was something you wanted to do it was a chore.
"Don't understand why you're so obsessed with being around these...people." He mumbles under his breath. Not this again. You plaster on a fake smile as you pretend you didn't hear him. He loves you for who you are right?
The party was in full swing by the time you get in. You greet your friends, trying to hide your feelings as Carter says something about getting a drink.
"You finally made it." You turn to see Logan standing behind you.
"Logan! Didn't expect to see you here." You tease. Parties were never Logan's thing.
"I heard you might show up, can't miss that now can I?" He opens his arms and you don't hesitate to hug him. You missed this. Your nights used to be filled with movie nights and late night snacking with Logan. It's been so long since you got to do any of that.
"Hey, is everything okay?" Logan clocks the fake smile immediately. He's noticed the ways you've changed. You're deflated, tired. It's all that assholes doing and he knows it.
"Yeah every things fine," Logans hands rest on your arms, he's about to press you a little further but Carter comes back.
"Hey man get your hands off my girlfriend." Carter almost seems to puff out his chest as if he was trying to appear bigger than Logan. Logan rolls his eyes.
"Calm down bub, just saying hi to my friend."
"Well she's my girlfriend."
"Yeah she's also a person not a fucking object." Logan growls and you step to get in between the two of them. The last thing you wanted was a fight right now.
"It was great seeing you again Logan." You smile as Carter wraps his hand around your wrist.
Logan reluctantly lets go of you as you're taken away by your boyfriend. He feels this anger burning inside of him. Every time he sees that bastard touch you he wants to rip off his damn arms. Every time he sees your smile fall or hears your fake laugh.
"Jealous much?" Scott comments, a smirk on his face as Logan turns to glare.
"I ain't jealous." Logan snaps as he stalks away.
Yes he is, he's very jealous. He's jealous that asshole is your boyfriend and not him. He's jealous that he's not the one who gets to hold you at night and call you his girl. But he was too late. So he's got no one to blame but himself.
Carter hadn't left your side since your moment with Logan. Normally you'd be happy about this but he was doing nothing but complain every chance he got.
"Can we just fucking go home already. You saw your little friends."
"It's barely been an hour Carter. All I asked for was this one thing! These people are my family would it kill you to try and act interested." You snap, finally fed up with his attitude. He scoffs and crosses his arm.
"I am trying. It's not my fault your family are freaks! Especially that fucking monster." He says with an extra glare towards Logan. Heads start to turn as he raises his voice.
"They're not freaks and don't call Logan that! He is not a monster!" You hiss. You've had it up to here with Carter. Everything you thought about him was crumbling down. If this is what love was then you'd rather be single.
"Of course you come to his defense. What are you fucking him on the side?" He spits.
Logan looks ready to pounce but he's being held back. If he could he'd maim this guy until he's nothing but blood and bones. He doesn't care what insult this guy spews his way but the second he disrespects you, all bets are off.
"He's my friend that's why I'm defending him. I will not let you talk about anyone of these people like that! You are nothing but a hateful asshole. You can go home and don't wait up because you're done."
You're seething with anger but there's a sense of relief that washes over you. You can feel every ones eyes on you but you don't care. You turn around to walk away but Carter grabs onto your wrist.
"Don't fucking walk away from me!" You wince at how hard he grabs you and that's when Logan snaps. Like an animal he's on Carter in an instant. Claws out and a murderous look on his face.
"Get your fucking hand off her before I slice it off." Whatever arrogance Carter had was gone in an instant. He lets go of your wrist and grabs at Logan's arm but Logan is unmoving.
"Listen here bub, you're going to get your sorry ass out of here and never come back." Logan leans in, just close enough that Carter is the only one who can hear his next words.
"If you even think of contacting her again I'll find you and I'll rip you limb from limb." Carter scrambles out of Logans grip and falls to the ground.
"You're all fucking insane." He yells as he runs out the door.
There's a weight that falls off your shoulders the second he's out of your sight. You let out a sigh as you turn to face everyone. Some of them were looking at you with pity and others were happy he was finally gone.
"I am, so sorry for ruining the party."
"You didn't ruin the party sugar, we're glad he's gone. Now we can really party." Rouge says with a smile, you're grateful for her as this breaks the awkward tension.
Things seem to go back to normal but you slip outside, not really feeling a party mood anymore. You hear the door open and foot steps behind you. A root beer is placed in front of you and you gladly take it. Wordlessly Logan takes the spot next to you. Man you can't remember the last time you got to sit down with Logan.
"Thank you, and I'm sorry." You say. He shrugs and throws an arm around you, pulling you closer.
"Nothing to be sorry for sweetheart, asshole had it coming." He takes a sip of his beer and you sigh, leaning a little closer to him.
"How could I be so stupid, things went south way before tonight. I just...didn't want to see it."
"Hey, you're not stupid. You were in love." Love makes you do a lot of things. Turn a blind eye or in Logan's case. Pretend like the feelings aren't even there.
"No I wasn't. Not really. I think...I was so afraid of never finding someone that I latched onto the first guy to give me an ounce of attention." You groan. What's so wrong with wanting to be loved huh? Nothing. But you deserve a guy who isn't a complete asshole.
"There will be other guys, anyone would be lucky. to have you"
"Yeah? Like who?" You say with a snort.
"Like me." Logan says simply. Your eyes widen as you taken in what he just said.
"What?" You ask in disbelief.
Logan shifts where he sits. Fuck this isn't how he imagined telling you, in fact he thought he never would. But Carter made him so angry and he'd be dammed if he let another dick come and take you away again.
"Like me, I want to be the lucky bastard."
"I...Logan how long have you felt this way." You ask, a hand coming to rest on his chest.
"It doesn't matter,"
"Yes it does, please. I need to know how much of an idiot I've been." You beg and Logan frowns, he doesn't like it when you call yourself an idiot.
"Years sweetheart, I've been in love with you for years." He confesses.
All this time. He's been there. As your friend, as something more. Too wrapped up in his own shit to say something at first and then by the time he worked out some of it, it was too late. He hates to admit it but that asshole did one thing right, it pushed him to stop hiding how he really feels about you.
"Logan..." You whisper as your lean in close to him.
His hand snakes around your waist and pulls you closer. Your lips ghost each other for just a moment, before he leans closer and kisses you. Your lips move together slowly. Logan groans against your lips as he pulls you even closer, if anyone were to look outside they'd see you practically crawling onto his lap.
His other hand cups your cheek, keeping you right there for him to kiss over and over. A part of you is kicking yourself for not saying anything to Logan sooner. So much pain and annoyance could have been avoided had one of you just confessed, but the other part of you is too happy to care. Too happy knowing that he felt the same way and that he was finally yours.
"I wish we had done this sooner."
"Me too sweetheart, but you have me now." He says as he kisses you again. A thought lingers in your mind and you pull away from Logan much to his dismay.
"Fuck, I need to get my shit from Carters place." You say with a groan.
"Don't say his name ever again," Logan grumbles and you laugh.
"I'll take care of everything so you never even have to think of that asshole." Logan buries his face in your neck, kissing every bit of skin he can reach.
"Now, lets ditch this party and make up for some lost time." Logan purrs.
God there's so much time to catch up on, you mourn what could have been but Logan taps your cheek. Snapping you out of your spiraling thoughts.
"You alright sweetheart?" You nod, shaking your head free of those thoughts. That's all in the past now, it took a while but you found your way to Logan and that's all that matters.
"I've never been better. Now, take me home."

(Complete stranger here, so feel free to ignore if this misses the point of the post. 💦)
It does suck feeling that way, yeah. It took me a long time to not worry as much about the amount of diversity there is in my OCs. Idk if it's that much of a bother for you, but I think I get what you're laying down.
The rest of the post is me rambling. I am terribly sorry,
I think somewhere down the line, the criticism for a lack of representation for race, gender, body type, disabilities, etc, aimed at large studios and companies got lost? Or at least applied to people who are just hobbyists, if that makes sense?
There's nothing wrong with wanting more variety. It's always good to take the opportunity to go outside your comfort zone or experiment with different types of character / research different types of people.
But, I've seen a good few fellow artists worry about having too much of one type of OC or another. As if it's somehow a mistake or failing on their part to not have at least X, Y, or Z, thing. (This includes things like adding/making someone white/cis/abled/etc, not just underrepresented groups.)
I really don't think it's something the average artist should burden themselves with as much as I've seen. Art is an expression of yourself and experiences; It will naturally have biases and unique traits in it.
One shouldn't feel bad or guilty for creating for or from themselves with these biases. Sometimes, it's not about the audience. Sometimes, you want to make what you want to see in the world! Or what you've seen yourself! And that is 100% okay! You obviously don't need my permission but, You do you dude!! 👍
in some ways I feel bad that if my furry characters were to be drawn human I don't think any of them would be white they would most likely be black or any person of color.
and I go
"I need to make someone white 😭😭😭"
but as a black guy I'm kinda just making characters based off people I've seen irl especially as someone who grew up in predominantly black/mixed race populated schools.

⋆˚✿˖°⋆˚✿˖°⋆˚✿˖°⋆˚✿˖°⋆˚✿˖°⋆˚✿˖°⋆˚✿˖°⋆˚✿˖°⋆˚✿˖°⋆˚✿˖
After Bakugou had been generous enough to help haul in your endless pile of boxes—a consequence of your admittedly irresponsible spending—it seemed he decided to spare you further torment by announcing his departure.
Something about heading to the training arena to "get some real work done."
Not that his presence was bad.
No, it was torturous in the best way possible!
The I-want-him-to-stay-in-my-room-forever-and-keep-calling-me-princess kind of way.
Did that sound crazy?
Even with your ever-growing crush on the blonde, you couldn’t deny the wave of relief that washed over you at his exit.
He’d seen you like this—flustered, fumbling, barely holding yourself together—had even insisted you put on those stupid glasses, and yet…
Somehow, it wasn’t as horrible as you expected.
A warm flutter settled in your chest at the realization. He hadn’t cared about your appearance, hadn’t picked you apart like so many others had. It was a refreshing change from the judgment you’d grown used to.
You never quite understood why people felt so comfortable talking about your looks.
You barely felt comfortable talking to people, period.
And yet, strangers—people who didn’t know a thing about you—felt entitled to comment.
Your figure was amazing. Your hair looked great. What diets had you gone on?
God…
Bakugou didn’t seem to care about any of that.
His focus had been on your vision—or lack thereof. A stupid little thing, but the fact that he didn't seem to care about your looks made your stomach twist in a way you weren’t ready to unpack.
Now, left alone in the quiet of your room, you sat cross-legged on your bed, manicured fingers scrolling through your phone.
Your official account, @OfficiallyFlora, gleamed on the screen. The blue checkmark beside your username felt more like a weight than an accomplishment.
Your profile picture, an overly polished shot of you in your glittering hero costume—stared back at you. The flawless image, taken against a pristine white backdrop, was the product of your mother’s money and marketing efforts.
It was perfect. Too perfect.
Too pretty. Too refined. Too far from the girl sitting here now, sock clad in her bedroom, still reeling from the lingering scent of caramel and smoke that Bakugou had left behind.
Are your teeth really even that white in person?
You don’t know…
Your bio reads: Official Page of Pro-Hero Prospect Flora, making your hearts bloom with every step towards justice!
You sighed, rolling your eyes hard enough to strain something. The bio had been written by your mother’s PR team, dripping with saccharine energy that made you cringe every time you read it.
The rest of your feed wasn’t much better: high-definition shots of battles, cherry blossom-themed merch promotions, and glamorous magazine features.
It was a glossy, manufactured version of you that bore little resemblance to the person staring at the screen, glasses perpetually sliding down her nose.
Growing bored of the staged content, you switched to your private account.
Your followers on this one are, well. Your classmates, surprisingly enough, and one of your mother's pool boys who had asked for your Instagram years ago before you ever even had an official page in hopes of getting to talk to you more?!
You can't help but quirk a brow, you should really get him off your page...
Here, the photos were more personal: snapshots of your travels, close-ups of meals you’d enjoyed, and a random assortment of things that caught your eye.
The likes rarely climb beyond single digits, but it was real and a better representation of yourself than the other page.
A pang of curiosity struck as your fingers moved on autopilot, typing in Bakugou’s name.
His official account, curated by Best Jeanist’s team, popped up first. His posts were as structured as yours—action shots, hero promotions, and carefully orchestrated PR moves.
But unlike how you felt about your feed, his action shots were breathtaking.
One image, in particular, caught your attention: Bakugou holding a tiny kitten that had been stuck in a tree. His sharp features softened as he cradled the fluffy creature, his biceps bulging against his hero suit.
You snorted, amused by the juxtaposition. No matter how intimidating he looked, the sight of him with a kitten was almost too much.
Shaking your head, you scrolled through some of your classmates’ accounts. Their updates showed them at the beach, enjoying pizza nights, and huddled around a glowing campfire.
Seems like without Bakugou around to act as head chef, they had to order takeout instead.
You frowned, an unshakable pit forming in your stomach.
You drop your phone onto the bed and stare up at the ceiling, a quiet sigh escaping your lips. Maybe what you needed was a nice meal—something indulgent to shake off the restless energy.
The thought of heading to the nearest convenience store for another pint of ice cream crosses your mind, the idea warm and tempting. But no.
Not this time.
Instead, maybe you could make an effort. Doll yourself up a bit, put on some makeup, and head out into town. Who needs a big group when you’ve got yourself?
Determined to follow through, you sit up and scan the endless boxes of your new purchases. Finally, you land on a little buttercup-yellow tweed Chanel set, complete with a mini skirt and cropped blazer.
You slip it on, the fabric hugging your figure perfectly and highlighting your silhouette in all the right places.
Hell, for this price point, it better do all of the above!
You turn to your vanity, reaching for your makeup bag. You opt for a soft, casual look—subtle yet radiant, with just enough shimmer to catch the light. Twinkly in all the right places.
To complete the look, you sling a new ivory-colored purse over your shoulder. A cute yellow dandelion charm clipped to the side adds just the right touch of cuteness.
Standing in front of the mirror, you take a moment to admire your reflection. You look polished, confident, like someone ready to take on the evening—even if it’s a solo adventure.
Maybe you’d check out that new sushi spot closer to home!
Yeah, it’s fine that your classmates wouldn’t join you! They'd probably just make you more anxious anyways.
But as you’re heading downstairs and toward the door, you suddenly freeze. A realization dawns on you.
Hajime has the weekend off.
You groan out loud. How are you going to get there? You can’t drive!
Frustration bubbles up, and you slap your forehead. Were you really this helpless? The thought makes you wince, embarrassment creeping in at the edges of your thoughts.
"If I speak, you gonna jump and scream again?" A voice, an irritatingly familiar voice announces his presence.
The familiar gruff voice startles you, and admittedly, you do almost scream. Holding it back though, you whirl around to see Bakugou having just walked out of the elevator behind you.
He seems freshly showered, with his hair still a bit damp, out and pushed back from his handsome face. You could smell him from where you're standing.
Ugh, delicious as usual.
“You did kind of surprise me,” you admit, voice sheepish as your eyes dart away from him.
His eyes roam over your figure quickly, though you don't notice the action over your own mourning of the evening.
“You’re going out?”
The question leaves his mouth before he can stop it, and if he could, he’d smack himself upside the head. Why the hell did he even ask? It’s obvious you are. And more importantly—why is he even starting a conversation in the first place?
Up until literally yesterday, you were just another classmate. Background noise. But these back-to-back interactions are becoming unavoidable, and unfortunately, you’re slipping out of the backdrop and into his world.
You shake your head, lips pulling into a soft, resigned smile. “Well, I was going to, but… I just realized I don’t have any way of getting there.”
“Hah? Can’t take the train?”
Heat blooms across your face, creeping down your neck. “Oh, well… I’ve never taken public transportation.”
There’s a beat of silence—just long enough for you to see the exact moment Bakugou short-circuits.
“Is that some shitty joke?”
You thought your cheeks couldn’t possibly burn hotter, but—oh, look at that! They can!
“I- um, well, no. It’s not.” You swallow, fiddling with the strap of your ivory purse. “Hajime’s driven me everywhere since I was little.”
He blinks, slowly. More in disbelief than anything.
“Hajime?”
You nod. “Yeah, um… my personal driver.”
For a second, you think he might actually roll his eyes. On anyone else, the whole spoiled rich kid routine would piss him off. But with you, it’s different.
Maybe it’s the way you look so flustered, like you’re embarrassed to admit it. Or maybe it’s the way your voice dips, like you’re apologizing for just existing.
Either way, it leaves him feeling something weird—something dangerously close to wanting to help. Again.
Twice in one day. A world record, if he says so himself.
He exhales sharply, dragging a hand through his damp hair. “That’s the dumbest shit I’ve ever heard.”
You wince, shoulders curling inward. “I know! It’s bad, okay? But it’s just how I was raised…”
How you were raised?
Bakugou’s brow lifts slightly. So what, you were raised to be a stay-at-home daughter? Spend money like it’s a full-time job?
He knows about your family. Everyone does.
A mother who inherited an entire hero firm from your grandparents—a dynasty so powerful its stocks and investments practically fuel Japan’s economy. And a father who died in the field before you were even born—a rising star in the hero world, gone far too soon.
Your mother, a young heiress to millions. Your father, a pro hero at the height of his career. Expecting their first child. A baby girl—you.
And then, just like that, it all came crashing down.
A mission gone wrong.
A hero lost.
Your father’s death sent shockwaves through the country, leaving Japan in mourning—not just for the man he was, but for the legend he never got the chance to become.
He doesn’t say anything right away—just stares at you with an unreadable expression that makes your stomach churn.
Then, without warning, he mutters, “Get your stuff. We’re going.”
Your head snaps up. “Wait, what?”
“You heard me.” He’s already pulling on his sneakers, his movements brisk and determined. “No way in hell am I letting you graduate from U.A. without knowing how to take a damn train. That’s pathetic.”
“Bakugou, you really don’t have to—”
“Second time today.” He cuts you off with a sharp look over his shoulder. “It’s already happening. Move it, princess.”
Your mouth opens, ready to argue—but the words die in your throat when you see the set of his jaw, the fire in his gaze. He’s not going to back down.
You’re not sure what’s more overwhelming—the idea of taking your first train ride…
Or the fact that Bakugou Katsuki is the one dragging you along for the ride.
You gulp, hurrying after him as he strides out of the dormitory, his natural pace effortlessly long and brisk. You almost trip trying to keep up, the heels of your boots clicking against the pavement.
God, why does he walk so fast?
“We’ve got a station down the block from the UA gates,” he says, barely glancing at you. “We’ll go to that one.”
You nod, stiff as a board. “Gotcha. So, um… where did you want to go?”
His blonde brow arches, the side of his lip curling like you just said something unbelievably stupid. “What? This isn’t about me. This is about teaching you how to get on a damn train.”
You wince, embarrassed. “Right. That makes sense.”
The two of you walk in relative silence, the crisp evening air settling over you like a thin veil.
The streets leading to the station aren’t crowded, but there are enough people out that you can feel the occasional passing glance—whether they recognize you as a hero-in-training or simply because you look like you don’t belong in a place as mundane as a train station, you’re not sure.
Your perfectly tailored blazer, Italian leather purse, and neatly manicured nails feel almost too polished for the scuffed pavement beneath your feet.
Bakugou, on the other hand, fits in seamlessly.
His hands are shoved in the pockets of his hoodie, his comfy sweatpants loose around his legs and tight at his waist.
He looks completely at ease, like this is just another part of his day—meanwhile, your heartbeat is rattling in your ears at the thought of navigating a train station for the first time.
After a few minutes, you reach the station entrance, the underground stairway yawning open before you. A few commuters shuffle past, swiping their cards at the turnstiles, moving like they’ve done this a million times.
You, however, stay frozen at the top of the stairs.
Bakugou doesn’t notice at first, too busy pulling out his own train pass. But when he looks up and sees you still standing there, brows drawn tight with hesitation, he sighs.
“Seriously?” He tilts his head, exasperation flickering in his red eyes. “It’s just a staircase, princess.”
“I know it’s just a staircase,” you huff, crossing your arms. “I just—” You hesitate, glancing down at the tiled steps leading into the station.
You’ve never been in one of these before, never had to navigate the organized chaos of public transport, never had to think about swiping a train card or picking a route.
A ridiculous thought hits you—you’re not sure what’s more embarrassing: the fact that you don’t know how to take a train… or the fact that Bakugou Katsuki is the one who has to teach you.
You bite your lip, it's silly and you know it. “What if I mess up?”
Bakugou stares at you for a beat, his expression unreadable. Then, without warning, he snorts.
“With that attitude, you’re definitely gonna mess up. Sour face you got going on”
Your jaw drops. “Excuse me?”
His smirk is almost smug. “But that’s the whole damn point. You mess up, you figure it out, and then you won’t be a clueless dumbass next time.”
You scowl. “Your motivational speeches suck.”
Bakugou rolls his eyes before nudging your shoulder—just a small push, barely enough to make you step forward, but it’s enough to shake you out of your own head.
“Come on,” he mutters, starting down the stairs. “I’ll show you how it’s done.”
You inhale sharply and, with no other choice, follow him down.
The air shifts as you descend—cooler, tinged with the metallic scent of rails and the distant hum of an approaching train. Your grip tightens around the strap of your purse, nerves bubbling in your chest.
Why is everything so loud down here?!
Bakugou moves ahead, seamlessly navigating through the turnstiles. He scans his card with an effortless flick of his wrist, stepping through without hesitation.
You, on the other hand, stop in front of the machine, frowning at it like it’s a puzzle you weren’t given the pieces to.
Bakugou turns, watching you expectantly.
“Well?” he drawls.
You glance at the screen, then back at your card. “Do I just… tap it?”
“No, you rub it on the damn thing and hope it opens.”
Your glare is sharp, but you say nothing, instead hesitantly pressing the card against the sensor. The gate beeps, unlocking with a mechanical click.
You blink. That’s it?
“Wow, you did it.” Bakugou’s tone is mockingly slow, like he’s congratulating a toddler for taking their first steps.
You don’t know how, when, or what possesses you with a sudden surge of confidence, but before you can stop yourself, your hand reaches out, shoving his shoulder.
His muscled frame barely budges under your touch, solid beneath the fabric of his hoodie.
“Shut up,” you mutter.
He snorts, a short chuckle slipping out as he steps toward the platform, the train’s arrival chime ringing through the station.
Then, as you approach the edge of the platform, a realization slams into you like a ton of bricks.
“…Wait.” You stop in your tracks, eyes widening. “How do I know which train to take?”
Bakugou exhales so deeply it sounds like his soul is actively trying to escape his body.
“God help me.”
He pinches the bridge of his nose, his jaw tightening as if he’s physically restraining himself from saying something he’ll regret.
For the first time today, you swear he actually looks pained.
Oh lord. Oh good grief. If you were just about anybody else right now, Bakugou wouldn’t just be snapping—he’d be out of here so fast, you’d be left choking on smoke.
The fact that a pro-hero-in-training, someone who’s supposed to be saving lives, has never taken a damn train is the kind of thing that should be illegal.
So why is he still here?
Why hasn’t he turned on his heel, thrown up his hands, and left you to fend for yourself like any rational, self-respecting person would?
He blinks, his gaze lingering on your face, and for a brief moment—so fast you almost miss it—you swear there’s something unreadable flickering behind those sharp red eyes.
Maybe it’s the way your lashes frame your doe-like eyes, dark and long, casting delicate shadows across your cheeks. Curse you and your stupid, stupid eyes. Is this some kind of second quirk? A hypnosis ability?
Or maybe—just maybe—it’s the way you fidget without realizing it.
Your hands twist together, fingers tangling like they’re trying to hold onto something steady.
Absentmindedly, you twirl the diamond-encrusted eternity band on your index finger, turning it over and over in a nervous rhythm. It catches the dim station light, flashing every time you spin it.
Bakugou’s gaze follows the movement, and something about the unconscious gesture makes his scowl deepen.
“…Tch.” He clicks his tongue, shoving his hands into his hoodie pocket. “You really are helpless, huh?”
The words are gruff, edged with frustration, but he still doesn’t walk away.
Instead, he takes a step toward you, nodding toward the digital display overhead. The glowing letters flicker slightly, listing station names, times, and train lines in a way that makes your head spin.
“C’mon, dumbass. I’ll show you how to read the damn schedule before you get yourself lost in the middle of the city.”
Relief washes over you as you quickly follow his lead. “Ah, thank you!”
“Don’t thank me… just pay attention.”
And you do. You pay such good attention that by the time you finally grasp how the whole system works, you’re practically bouncing on your heels in excitement, a bright grin stretching across your face.
You stand on the platform, buzzing with a newfound confidence, while Bakugou—looking as perpetually unimpressed as ever—waits beside you with his hands stuffed into his hoodie pockets.
Then, the distant hum of the train grows louder, and soon enough, the sleek cars pull into the station with a sharp metallic whir.
The doors slide open, and you eagerly step forward, your heeled boots clicking against the platform as you move inside. Bakugou follows closely behind, scanning the interior in one quick glance.
The train is relatively full—enough that only one open seat remains near the doors. Without hesitation, Bakugou nudges you toward it.
“Sit,” he says gruffly, grabbing onto the nearest safety pole as the doors begin to close.
You shake your head, brushing him off. “I’m okay.”
He scoffs, tilting his chin toward your feet. “The train moves fast and isn’t super smooth. I’m sure you don’t wanna go through all that with those on.”
You glance down at your shoes—sleek, heeled boots, stylish but sturdy. Your lips curve into a small smile.
“I’ll have you know my hero costume boots are even higher than these.”
His brow arches slightly, the hint of sarcasm sparking in his eyes. “Yeah? I’m impressed, considering how fast you ran away from me on day one.”
Oh, hell.
Heat creeps up your neck at the reminder, your confidence faltering for a split second. But you recover quickly, squaring your shoulders with a dramatic huff.
“Wow, Bakugou Katsuki, impressed? By little ol’ me?” You place a hand over your heart, feigning exaggerated awe. “It’s an honor.”
He snorts, shaking his head, but there’s something unreadable in the way his gaze lingers on you for just a moment longer.
Then, the train lurches forward.
Despite all your earlier bravado, you do wobble slightly—just enough for Bakugou’s smirk to return in full force.
“…Told you to sit, dumbass.”
But you can’t.
Not because you’re too stubborn. Not because you’re still trying to prove a point.
But because—oh.
A singular, large hand is suddenly tight on your waist, steadying you with an effortless grip.
Oh my.
Who needs a safety rail when Pro Hero Dynamight is holding you like this?!
You internally scream, the realization hitting you all at once. The touch itself isn’t anything crazy—it’s barely even a thing, just a reflex, something automatic, instinctual. Nothing compared to the absolute torture of this morning’s, uh, straddling situation.
And yet, this feels just as bad—if not worse.
Why? Because Bakugou, in all his brash, loud, obnoxious glory, doesn’t even seem to realize he’s still holding onto you.
His grip is firm, warm even through the thick expensive fabric of your clothes, and worst of all? It lingers.
Still there.
Still present.
Still burning through your skin like a brand.
Oh, hell.

Acceleration AU (part 1)
Part 2
Warnings: plus size!fem!Reader, hints of pressure therapy, insecurities, swearing, Reader has abusive mom, mentions of abuse, Reader and Simon won’t talk to save their lives, only mention of Soap in this chapter
It’s supposed to be just another Christmas when everything changes.
You are not the biggest fan of changes, they rarely bring you (or Simon for that matter) something to be really happy about.
Therapist tells you it’s a defence mechanism, your need to feel that everything is the same otherwise it’s unpredictable, it’s out of your control and you don’t know what’s going to happen.
You don’t like not knowing things.
Makes you antsy, makes anxiety coil in your belly like rose bush, just growing and growing until thorns have no other place to dig in but your insides.
Simon doesn’t judge you for that, not when he has a slight (though how much is slight in terms of mental health) paranoia, possessive streak and need to oversee every bloody process or he starts vibrating with tension.
Simon grows up to be a bloody behemoth of a man — huge, broad and heavy. Bicep the size of your head. Midriff too thick to wrap both hands around it.
You shoot up in couple sizes as well, still broad shouldered, hips wider, thighs thicker, palms smaller than Simon’s but pack the same heavy smack he has.
Comes with the territory, in a way.
Can’t be defenceless in a city like Manchester when nightlife is never kind to a girl and strangers are all too eager to take advantage of a lonely bird on her way home.
Simon rumbles that you are “bloody perfect”, dropping his blond head in your lap on a usual movie night or laying on top of you without the fear of crushing under his weight.
Your hands around him comforting presence — softer underside of biceps cushioning against his shoulder blades.
“Bloody bliss. ‘m snug like a bug in a rug”, he mumbles, eyes closed and whole body limp — melting into yours, soaking up all the warmth and affection you so freely give.
“Am I a rug?”, you chuckle, eyes half lidded and soft, knuckles rubbing the tender point between his shoulder blades. Scratching him like he’s a big dog.
Simon reminds you of classical breeds of guard dogs people in rural areas use to protect their livestock and homes. Great Pyrenees, you think they are called.
Big, heavy, entirely unbothered by anything but the task at hand and very much blond — hair curling from moisture in the air and hot mist of the shower.
“You’r a blessing, luv”, Simon finally hums out, half way asleep, nose nudging your jaw up so he can properly nuzzle in your neck, your scent comforting him in a way he’s not sure he can explain. “ ‘m gonna sleep. Too tired. You’r okay?”
You hum, palm splaying over his back, just pressing it there so he can feel it, warm presence of it tearing out a satisfied “mm” from Simon.
It’s a routine at this point, something something regulation for him and you. You swap on regular basis, because sometimes you just need to be close to him and he needs someone’s weight to press him in the couch, enveloping him.
Not easy to be Simon’s personal blanket or a big spoon but you proud yourself on doing a pretty good job. The best one if you are to believe Simon himself.
You hum in return to his sound, your own hum soothing a scratching beast inside of Ghost’s head, mutt finally laying it’s big head on front paws and closing it’s eyes. Sometimes Simon wonders how’s so you are able to do just that.
When he can’t.
Maybe that’s what changed somewhere along the way. Maybe he just doesn’t need you as much anymore.
A traitorous childish part of you sometimes thinks that a lot of things were easier when you two were kids.
Both you and Simon — wide-eyed and yet unscarred, biggest scrapes on your bodies from face planting on the pavement after wearing sandals on the wrong legs.
It’s part you never share with Simon because it isn’t fair. Because the older you became the worse things at home were. The screaming, the pain, the bruises and tears. It was bad.
For Simon at times much worse than for you.
At least your mom was careful enough not to leave scars
You can’t miss something that signified hurt and helplessness for him, just because it was easier back then.
You can’t but part of you does.
You were inseparable once, teachers always knew that wherever one of you is they’d find another one.
Joined at the hip, glued to each other’s side, sharing silences and lunches and books and first kisses and secrets.
Time that now feels like honeyed berry of a memory — sugary sweet and popping with colour under your eyelids.
When did it change?
You know that it’s natural for people to grow up and part ways but you and Simon were always together. At home, at school, on weekends and holidays.
You left together after graduation, working odd jobs to pay for a tiny apartment with only one bed but really nice bathroom.
Simon shrugs and plops himself on the mattress saying that it’s not gonna be the first time you’ll be sleeping together. Why waste money you don’t have on a thing you don’t really need?
Simon says that if it gets too uncomfortable you’ll save up and by a second one, though it is very unclear where would you even put it. But it’s not uncomfortable and it becomes a new norm for you.
You were always together, intertwined tighter than any friends, closer than family, more long lasting than any relationships.
At times it felt like you two outgrew categories, but then you’d meet people and whilst introducing each other would need to choke out “my friend”.
How do you even tell people that this man is more than friend and more than boyfriend ever been for you?
How do you convey that Simon is family in the same way life long partners are?
How do you explain that Simon is the moon of your skies, that his presence and dark eyes and soft blond lashes and wild crooked grins have effect on you that no one else really has?
You never discussed your relationship, perhaps there simply was no need at the time. Both of you content to be the only permanent people in each other’s lives — the strongest connection. Each other’s priority.
Up until this Christmas.
Up until you get the cryptic “do you wanna celebrate not at home this year?” that makes your brows furrow.
It’s 2 weeks before holidays are going to start, you are wearing Simon’s black sweater and jeans, puff jacket hooked on the crook of your elbow, pressed to your side.
Which now feels like it wasn’t the idea because it’s too hot, the mall is crowded and it’s warm in a way December in Manchester never is supposed to be.
You blame it on people and global warming, while manoeuvring your way to the food court, buying yourself whatever cold soda they have because fucking hell, why is it so hot in here.
Your bags are getting plopped on the seat right next to yours when you stretch out your legs, thick winter boots feeling heavier than usually.
What can he mean by that? You two always celebrated Christmases and a birthdays at home. Together.
This way it was less people, less potential triggers and grounds for overstimulation for both of you.
God knows you can’t handle screaming, crowds making you nervous and too hot and Simon coils into tight wound spring when he hears balloons pop or feels people graze against him.
A quick noncommittal “why” is all Simon gets in return.
Just so you receive back “been invited to Glasgow to celebrate. Think you can make it?” and oh wow, someone’s making friends out there.
Simon doesn’t give you any additional information and doesn’t provide any further context probably deciding that there’s nothing more you need to know.
You take a deep breath, staring down the message, fingers drumming against tabletop — sharp tap-tap-tap doing nothing to soothe your climbing agitation.
Why all of a sudden he wants to celebrate it someplace else when you two already have perfectly decorated apartment?
Jesus Christ, you are out here gift shopping!
It takes you entirely three long minutes of typing and deleting the message before you finally send “don’t think I can. But u have fun”.
Your phone pings with a new incoming message so quickly it almost feels like Simon is sitting on the other end, staring down your chat with him, waiting for a response.
“Are u sure, luv? Soap says it will be fun. His family will be there. They are nice”
Fuck no. You don’t do family gatherings. Especially not with strangers and from what you thought you knew — neither does Simon. Too many people that try to touch you, too many sounds, just too warm.
But your eyes zero on the “Soap” and you feel something ugly inside of you raising its head, crack of its vertebras feeling like uncoiling blizzard inside of you.
Who is “Soap” and why is he standing between your usual Christmas plans with Simon?
You force your anger down so hard it almost makes you wince, molars aching from how tight your jaws are.
It’s fine. It’s nothing. Simon doesn’t owe you anything, you aren’t a couple after all. Not like you spent the last shit ton of Christmases together.
Not like it was important for you to have it done with him of all people.
So you type out short “absolutely. Yk I don’t like crowds. Have fun out there and pass Soap “merry Christmas” from me” which is much longer and much more cordial than you expected from yourself in the heat of a moment.
Especially when the most prominent thought was “tell Soap to go fuck himself and come home, you big bastard, I spent three hours in the bloody mall”.
Good job, now you can get going. After all, there is shopping to be done and Christmas menu to be redone.
If Simon is not coming you are gonna gorge yourself on ginger cookies and have fun.
You are a big girl, you don’t need Simon Riley and his stupid blond lashes.
You don’t need anyone.

not to be bleak but is there any hope for those of us still early in transition (no updated papers, dont pass in a way that would make things safer)
things just feel kind of impossible
I understand that things feel absolutely hopeless right now, but you just got to give your hormones the time to work. Keep at it. A number of really subtle yet accumulating changes kick in after a year, or even after two or three. You might feel that you aren't making any visible progress for ages, and then suddenly something imperceptible to you shifts and suddenly people are gendering you correctly without you having to stress so much about it. Over that course of time, you will figure out how you like to style yourself and what ways of moving your body and relating to others feel better for you, too. These small personal changes build up to a really significant improvement in one's quality of life, even if you never pass as a cisgender person of your gender. Once some time passes and you settle into yourself more, you'll be able to enjoy a lot of the social freedoms that come from being yourself, even under circumstances of state repression -- there are relatively few interactions in life that require the showing of legal ID, and you will very much get acclimated to living life as your gender, entering into bathrooms and locker rooms, being viewed as your gender by strangers on the bus, and being able to walk down the street feeling okay and mostly unremarkable. Trans people have lived under circumstances like these before, and it is thanks to them that you and I get to transition in a world where at least a few people are a lot more enlightened about us. Find other trans and queer people. Hold your loved ones close. Ask for trusted loved ones to stand by your side when you move through spaces where it all feels especially precarious and scary. Buy some DIY hrt off India Mart or some similar website and stockpile them. Share some spare doses with people in your community. Go to a trans clothing swap. Gather together in your home, or at someone else's. There is so much of life that happens undocumented by the government and unapproved of. You can be who you are for as long as you exist. The alternative is to allow the state to kill your chance at being you right now. You don't have to give them that. And you don't have to confront them directly either. You can continue to live. You know the truth of you, and there are many of us out there who know it too. Don't give up on yourself.

the small things really don't seem to matter to me anymore. I have to keep reminding myself that yes, I do need to go to work still, because I do also need to eat and have a roof over my head but what's even the point when the price of those are about to skyrocket, and all of my human rights are planned to be taken away. I want to be rallying and protesting in the streets, not cashiering for minimum wage, but I don't actually know how to find a group to do that with. I'm scared for my life, the lives of my friends, and the lives of millions of strangers. I just have to hope we find a way to rally together and make it out of this stronger than we went in
This is only day 1. DAY ONE. Day 1 and it's already horrific. My nervous system can't take 1400 straight days of this kind of stress lmao (and however many years after it will take to clean up, maybe the rest of my life tbh). And I'm expected to just...sit at my little desk and do my little day job tasks and pay my mortgage and do house maintenance and run errands while this kind of shit happens for the next 1400 days?

"The Pressure of His Lips" - ex!Bucky Barnes x Reader
Tumblr media
Hi! Like three (3) people have asked me to start posting fics on here, so here we go. I'm new to posting on tumblr, but I'm a wattpad and ao3 veteran, so be nice. I'm still trying to figure out the formatting and everything for this place :P
Summary: After breaking up due to your secret relationship being brought to the surface, you are not handling the separation well. Too much vodka and lonely nights end with you accidentally Bucky from the bathroom floor.
Warnings: Alcohol use, heavy intoxication, mentions of smoking weed, slight hint at SA history upon the reader, angst, alpine mention!!!! let me know if I missed any!
DISCLAIMER: This is an excerpt from a bigger fic I've been writing in which the self-insert has a history of SA. It is hinted at for one sentence in this specific blurb.
By all means, I should’ve been the one that managed to keep my head above water. Dad hit rock bottom when he was my age— after my grandparents died. He was no stranger to tell me about it. It was always an example of what not to do. Even Mom had her struggles after she lost her brother.
I had every picture perfect reason to stay away from anything that could drag me down like a weight in still water. Which is why I couldn’t tell you how I ended up at the bottom of a bottle on a Monday night in uptown Manhattan.
For a long time, I refused to drink more than once in heavy social settings after what happened when I was seventeen. But this? I didn’t care anymore. I needed whatever would keep him and my parents and the team out of my head.
The problem I was running into, however, was that by the time I was cross-faded in a mass of bodies in a bar uptown, he was the only thing I had the ability to think about.
Everything I wouldn’t confront during the day when I was sober chased me down until I was curled up in the corner of a bathroom stall.
The smell of weed clouded my senses as the cold tile floor hit the backs of my thighs. The vodka still on my tongue made me dizzy and I could feel my heart beating like a drum in my head.
Every memory axed its way into my head like a migraine I couldn’t shake. I could spend every night like this, I could dance with strangers I didn’t care about, I could swear off men to my best friend and demand that I was completely fine, but I would always end up like this. Thinking about how I could still feel the pressure of his lips on my skin and if I tried hard enough, the temperature of the bathroom tiles almost felt like that of his arm under my fingers whenever we were curled up together.
I couldn’t keep a straight thought. It all flashed through my head in images I couldn’t shake.
My phone was vibrating.
I fumbled for it, where it was tucked into the front of my dress, and I didn’t even check who was calling when I  tapped the screen and held it to my ear. I sniffled, wiping my nose. My cheeks were wet.
I was crying. That seemed to be pretty normal for me these days.
“Hello?”
I blinked. Great, now I was hallucinating voices. I’d never reached that point of being wasted. “Nat,” I said, rubbing my eyes. I probably just ruined my makeup already. “What’s up?” I did my best to sound sober. Probably didn’t work.
There was a heavy sigh. “You didn’t mean to call me,” he said.
“You called me,” I replied.
“No, I did not. Are you… Are you okay?”
“I am fine,” I said. “I’m not… supposed to talk to you.” “I know, angel.” Another sigh, a shuffle of something. Maybe blankets. It couldn’t have been that late.
“Are you sleeping?”
“It’s almost four in the morning.”
My head was pounding, swimming… I couldn’t quite breathe right. “You don’t really sleep…”
“No, I don’t. Less now. Where are you?”
“Why?” I felt defensive all of a sudden. No matter the fact I didn’t think I could get up off this floor if the building was on fire.
“Because you’re drunk, sweetheart. And you’re alone. It’s not safe.”
“You don’t know that I’m- if I’m alone.”
A brief pause. “Yes, I do. Do you know where you are?”
I was picking at a loose thread on the hem of my dress. “I’m…” I squeezed my eyes shut. That string wrapped around my finger twice. “I’m in the bathroom.”
“Okay, hold on—” I heard a door shut. It was quiet for a second. “I know where you are. You stay in the bathroom, okay? I’ll come get you.”
“But you—”
“No, you stay where you are.” I shrank a little. “Hear me?”
“Yeah…” “Good. I’ll be there in ten minutes.”
I think I fell asleep after that, because the next thing I remember was hearing a commotion of voices— only one of which I recognized.
Then it got so bright as the stall door was pushed open and I swear it felt like my heart that had dropped dead almost a month ago was beating again.
Bucky’s face was a mix of emotions as he touched my cheek. “Sweetheart…” He said, letting out a breath.
“Why are you here?” I asked, blinking a few times to try and see clearly. If he was here, I wanted to feel it, see it. All of it.
“I’m here for you, doll.”
“But you hate me.”
He looked at me like I was crazy. “No, I don’t, baby. I don’t hate you. But we need to get you home, come on.”
Without waiting for me to say anything, he lifted me to my feet. “Where are your shoes?” he asked. I just shrugged.
As I limped my way to the bathroom exit, one of the other girls stopped him, demanding that he either explain how he knew me, or set me down. If I was sober, I might have hugged her for that. “He’s…” I started.
She cast a worried glance from me, to the man holding me up. Bucky sighed and pulled out his phone, showing her the screen. “She’s mine, promise.” I barely caught a glimpse of the wallpaper. It was a picture Avery had taken of us when we were in Atlanta, we were in the kitchen, not even aware she was watching.
Once we were past the crowds, he shoved the door open and helped me outside. The chilly air shocked me a little back into my senses, but not much.
He pulled the car door open and helped me into the passenger seat before rounding the hood and climbing in. “I feel like lecturing you on how dangerous this is might be pointless because I don’t think you’re gonna remember any of it.”
I sniffled, wiping my cheeks. “I thought I was… fine.” “I’m sure you did,” he said, pulling onto the street. “Avery would have a heart attack if she knew about this, you know?”
“Yeah… It’s okay.”
“It’s not,” he sighed, shoving a hand through his hair. “This isn’t like you.”
“Sure it is,” I replied as I looked out the window. “It’s in my genes.” Bucky glanced at me, but didn’t say anything. When we pulled up outside my apartment building, I paused. “How do you—”
“I had a feeling something like this would happen. I got it from Nat.”
“She gave it to you?”
“I had to ask. Beg, actually.”
“That isn’t like you,” I said, quoting his own words. He cast me that same look he always gave me when I said something annoying, but valid. I smiled a little, tipping my head against the headrest of the car as I watched him climb out.
When he got to my side and pulled the door open, he didn’t give me an option. Next thing I knew, he was scooping me into his arms and I didn’t have it in me to fight. I leaned closer, letting my body relax for the first time in weeks. I could scold myself for this in the morning.
“What’s the door code?” he asked me.
“My birthday,” I replied in more of a mumble than anything. “It’s—”
“I know your birthday, angel.”
I sighed and nodded as we stepped into the warmth of the lobby. I didn’t question him as he held me the whole way to my apartment, his fingers occasionally brushing against my body as if it was muscle memory.
He pressed the same code into my door keypad and shoved the door open.
“Don’t let the cat out,” I muttered.
“The what— Oh my god.” I heard my little white kitten meow up at him. “That’s Snowball,” I said. “Or Alpine. I can’t choose.”
He sighed, a small smile on his face. “I like Alpine.”
Bucky carried me to the master bedroom and set me on the bed. I rubbed my eyes, the ache behind them starting to grow. He disappeared for a second and when he came back, he put a glass of water in my hand. “Drink this,” he said, setting my shoes in my closet. I wondered briefly where he found them before he returned from the closet with the Avengers Compound sweatshirt that used to be his, but I had reclaimed. “You can’t sleep in that dress,” he said. “Or that makeup.”
“I’ll be fine—” I started.
“No. You’re gonna change. I’ll give you a—”
“I can’t get the zipper myself,” I said quietly. “It’s not- It’s not a ploy… Promise.”
He helped me to my feet and turned me around before tugging at the zipper. I felt the air hit my back a second before his hand landed at my waist. “Are you gonna remember anything from tonight?”
“I hope so,” I said softly. Other words for definitely not.
Bucky sighed and dropped his head to my shoulder. “I miss you,” he breathed, lips brushing against my skin. “More than I’ve ever missed anyone.”
A pain lodged itself in my chest. It was so deep that in this moment I genuinely didn’t think it’d ever leave me. And if it did, it might just leave a hole where it sat. “Bucky…”
“Get changed. I’ll be right back.”
When I felt his body heat disappear from me, I dropped my dress to the ground and tugged on the sweatshirt he’d set on the bed. I didn’t bother with shorts, just left my underwear on.
I dropped onto the edge of the bed, finished my water, held my hands in my lap.
Bucky came from the bathroom and clicked on the lamp beside my bed. He took my face in his hand and with the warm rag in his hand, wiped it gently along my face. “Close your eyes,” he said softly.
I did as I was told. It wasn’t as in depth as I could’ve myself, but it was enough to keep my eyes from hurting in the morning.
He tossed the rag in the hamper and guided me into bed. “You need to sleep,” he said softly.
“I’m not used to sleeping alone,” I mumbled against my pillow.
“I know, sweetheart,” he replied, fingers combing through my hair. “Me either. But you’re gonna be okay.”
I felt exhaustion coming for me like a thief in the night. “You think so?”
“I know so. Sleep, baby.”
A breath escaped me. I didn’t have the energy to speak anymore.
As sleep pulled me away, I felt his kiss against my head. Then the light clicked off and it was gone like a dream.

Part 1
3.5k, cw: ghosts a pervert and stalker, readers husband is a piece of work, brief mentions of sex, explicit, not proofread
Simon Riley wasn’t one for the romantics, he was a simple man. Wake up early in the morning just as he would on base, complete his training regimen, take a quick shower, and rot away in his one bedroom one bathroom apartment until he's recalled for a mission. A mundane life for the soldier who dealt with life-or-death circumstances just as many times as he’s brewed himself a cup of tea.
But even Simon had things to look forward to. After enduring the monotonous routine of his week he’d practically sprint to the butcher's shop, not for love of the finer cuts of meat one could find, but to see his bird.
Still the fittest thing he had ever seen, your relationship evolved from standing with your back turned to his debauched stares to you actually saying hello to him. Slowly hello turned to little conversations. By conversations, it mainly consisted of you prattling on about one thing or another while Simon grunted out a short “yeah?” or “hm.” Sometimes he felt bad that his pretty little thing who always had endless things to say spoke to him, someone who was pretty much a brick wall in conversation.
But, ah well. He couldn’t think of you banging on the headboard while he fucked you and fully pay attention to what was said in his defense.
At times he didn’t know whether to scold or praise your ability to dole out kindness to even a cold bastard like him. A stranger was what he was, and you still managed to speak to him as if he were any other man you’d meet on the street.
He didn’t deserve it, he knew that. Not with the things he has done to others. Things that would send your pretty little head toppling off your shoulders if you knew. Not with the way he prowled behind as you shakily made your way up the slippery sidewalk, plastic bag with groceries in hand.
He didn’t deserve it, but he was sure as hell certain your fuckwit of a husband definitely didn’t deserve it. That prick left you walking alone and cold the whole way home, letting you know minutes before he was supposed to pick you up from the butcher’s shop.
That pathetic guy didn’t want to take care of his wife? Didn’t want to pay attention to his girl? Well fine, he didn’t need to. Simon would.
As if it physically pained him to watch you have to lift a finger, he sped up his pace and loudly cleared his throat from behind.
Whirling around in fright, your tensed shoulder immediately relax upon meeting Simon’s eyes. Your body shivered from the winds, yet you beamed at him with the warmth of the fuckin’ sun.
“Simon! What are you doing here?” You chirped out in greeting, clasping your hands together as the bag dangled from your fingers. You waited for him to stalk up to you, broody as ever.
His pretty little songbird, who tweets out her hellos even when the frigid weather demands a more mellow tone.
In his usual unsettling manner, he stops right in front of you. “I live up this way.” He lied.
“Really?! I’ve never seen you coming up this way.” He was so close. He had to crane his neck downwards to look at your face, cheeks and nose probably frozen from the biting wind. Your brows furrowed in what he assumed to be suspicion, and he truly wondered for the first time if you actually had a semblance of survival instinct after all.
Raising a brow, he points to a random building in the distance. He picked something far enough away from your own home to quell any unease. You lived in that reddish-brown building about two blocks away. Though you’ve never told him that.
“Just righ’ up there. Usually don’t go this way, but the other route is closed off.”
Your furrowed brows quickly correct themselves at his words and you assume your resting expression, one much softer. “Well… we might as well head up together then!” You laughed in joy and Simon felt his cock twitch for similar reasons. It seems the concept of “stranger danger” wasn’t drilled into your head hard enough during your formative years.
He’d never dream of doing something to hurt your cheery demeanor, but he couldn’t say the same for others. People can be nasty and, if you survived this long without that bubble being burst, he’d be more than happy to tear apart the prick who’d try. Pricks like your husband.
Wasn’t it a soldier's duty to protect the peace? Something like that anyways.
He noticed the way your poor fingers stiffly held on to the bag, the weight harder to carry because of the chill in the air. His hands itched to help.
You quirked your head to the side due to his lack of anything to say and Simon merely jutted his head towards what you carried, “Give it ‘ere.” Your mouth opens to protest, but Simon doesn’t give you the opportunity as he easily plucks the bag from your hands. “Come on,” He began to walk again while ignoring his bird’s shrill whistles of objection to his help “You’ll catch a cold out ‘ere if we don get’cha inside soon.”
Catching up to his long strides, you approach from the right and sigh. You’re inclined to tell him it’s really not necessary, but the heat that bloomed in your chest as a result of his breathy chuckle interrupted you.
You didn’t even need to ask him to help... he just did.
You couldn’t help the way your eyes wondered about his large frame, and he was huge. You had to admit the first time you had spoken to Simon you were a bit rattled when you stuck your hand out to shake his. It was maddening the way he never made a sound, the way his steps quietly padded along the floor when he went up to the counter at the butcher’s shop to pay.
Occasionally you felt your skin prickle everytime he stood behind you. Whenever you gathered the courage to take a peek you would be met with the sight of him tapping away at his phone without a care, hood of his jacket concealing most of his face.
Though you could’ve sworn his phone was upside down once?
Cars whizzed past and you shook away those thoughts. Simon happens to be a quiet type, nothing to judge him for.
“... Thank you. You know, you’re a real nice guy.” Shoving your hands into the pockets of your jacket, Simon slows his steps just enough to move behind you. “Simon?” You turn your head side-to-side in confusion as he nudges his way to your other side.
“Wha’?” He huffed while putting himself between you and the road.
Odd.
The two of you got closer to the building and in a practiced stop you both pause at the entrance. About to speak again, you’re cut off by the loud ring of your phone. Looking down you see your husband's photo pop up on the screen. With a sigh, you hold up a finger to your companion and answer.
“Hey hun, is something wrong? You said you had a meeting?” You could hear the exhale of annoyance which escaped him before he responded.
“I’m working late tonight. I can’t make it for dinner. Make sure to leave me a plate before you go to bed though.” Of course. He was always late nowadays. One project or another he would say before rolling to face away when you asked him about his day before bed.
You were his wife! You’d make time for him no matter what, and normally you wouldn’t want to be a bother, but the way tears threatened to bead your waterline in frustration caused your voice to harden a fraction.
“Again? Really? They’re working you a bit hard, don’t you thi-”
“I have work. I’ll talk to you later.”
You blink owlishly at Simon who looks back in silence. You hear the beep indicating the call has ended. Slowly, you pull your phone away from your ear both saddened by your husband's cold words but also the humiliation of your new friend witnessing the way you were clearly hung up on by your own spouse.
You wanted to turn heel and retreat into the privacy of your apartment. Cook up a meal which will grow cold on the counter and curl into your bed while incessantly tracking the minutes until you hear the door open.
Simon’s eyes narrowed as if he wanted to burn a hole through your phone, and he waited for you to gather yourself.
“I- um,” letting out an awkward chortle, you scratch the back of your neck. “Looks like I'm alone for dinner tonight.” You managed a disingenuous smile. Simon didn’t seem like the type to be able to pick up on subtle social cues like that, you doubt he’d think anything of your words.
“Well I better get back inside… it's freezing out here. Thanks for your help with my bags I-I just have to get started on cooking right now, so.” You reached for your groceries and saw the strange look in his eyes soften a bit. As you pivot towards the entrance, you hear a gruff call.
“ ‘m pretty hungry righ now.”
…How could you be such an idiot! He carries your bags for you, probably chilled to the point of numbness, and you don’t even invite him in for something to eat. Not even a hot drink. All because of your own selfish discomfort?!
“Oh gosh, that was rude of me. Simon, you wanna come in? I have enough to whip you up a plate if you’d like. A ‘cuppa’ as well. Is that what you say?” You asked.
Simon was a kind man. He was intimidating, but surely it was okay to let him into your personal space. After all, the only person who would object to his presence was currently holed up at his office.
“Brought it up for a reason. That’d be great, love.”
You couldn’t help the way your heart pattered in your rib cage at the endearing pet name. Kind words from a kind man. That’s all. You willed your heart to slow with images of your husband, to whom you had the utmost respect for.
The two of you made your way up to the spacious apartment. You bent over to unlace your shoes and take off your coat. It doesn’t go unnoticed how it took Simon a moment to follow suit. When he stood to his full height, a gentle warmth swelled within you when met with the sight of his broad build in the now seemingly small walls of your home. He looked as though he crowded the room more than any of the furniture.
You felt a bit hazy when you moved to the kitchen. You shouted back to Simon who stood put at the door, “Feel free to make yourself comfortable! Go ahead and sit down anywhere.”
Like a flower, you needed your fix of sunlight. You had lots of windows in your apartment to let the natural light in, a giant one looking into your living room. Simon would see you watching your silly shows, tapping away at your laptop while snuggled under a blanket in this very spot. Soon he’d show you the value of privacy, closing the blinds, locking everything before bed.
There were shady people in the world. Those who’d feed off of your sweet carelessness like it was the best thing to touch their depraved mouths. That wasn’t fair to his bird.
“ ‘m gonna go to the loo.” and before you even had the chance to give him directions, you watched the Brit make his way to the restroom unprompted.
It wasn’t fair, but he would make it fair. He would keep those bastards far away from you, guard your blissful paradise. Keep you ignorant.
So what if his methods were unconventional? So what if he’s followed you home dozens of times. It was to keep you safe. So what if he spent any free time he had watching you through the windows from the building across yours.
Closing the door behind him, his lips quirked up at the sight of your things strewn about. Makeup, hair products, lotions taking up all the space on your side of the sink. In the mirror, his eyes caught on the laundry hamper sat in the corner. He had been here once before.
So what if he has come into your apartment during the late hours just to catch a whiff of your scent. Just to pull the blanket you had knocked off, deep asleep, while on the couch waiting for your prick husband. You needed someone. He could do good by you, or at least try his hardest to.
With practiced ease, he turns to open the hamper. Hands grabbing with the eagerness of unwrapping a present only to be met with a sorry sight.
“For fuck sakes”  He whispered.
You and your cleaning. The damn thing had been emptied out of all things with your lovely fragrance, tossed in the wash. With the quick roll of his eyes, he quietly puts the lid back on to the stupid thing.
He had been much luckier last time. After taking it upon himself to sneak in and close a window you left wide open, he had the urge to explore around. Fast forward to when he arrived at his treasure chest (the laundry basket) he was rewarded for his considerate act. He had nabbed a dirty pair of panties with sheer ecstacy.
In the natural progression of things, his cock had hardened with urgency. He had stroked himself eagerly to the thought of your soft, snoozing breaths. A bead of pre-cum already poised to roll down his shaft. You drove him mad, only a few walls separating the two of you. He could walk over to you now, shove your legs apart and sink himself into paradise, in pure euphoria. He continued to jerk himself to the edge of his peak. He had taken in the sight of everything from your loofah to your robe to the pink toothbrush unobtrusively in the corner.
A shiver went down his spine as he looked at the very same toothbrush at present. He wondered how many times you had unassumingly used it since that night.
Images of his desperation flooding back, a hint of something akin to guilt. He had squeezed your panties to his face as if he was trying to suffocate himself, impatiently grabbing for anything else that could connect him to you when he felt himself begin to strain under the stimulation. He had grunted when your scent filled his nostrils, unlike how his balls emptied themselves, his release spurting all over your toothbrush.
When he came back to his senses, he had turned the coated thing over and over in his hand. You’d be none the wiser if he just… washed it off, right? No harm in something you wouldn’t know about. He couldn’t bring himself to do more than lightly run it under the tap.
“Simon! Food is ready!” You shouted. Breaking from his stupor, he steps out of the restroom and moves back to the counter overlooking the kitchen. You gave him that sweet grin while setting the food in front of him.
“Looks delicious, love. Thanks.”
You sat on the seat beside him with a plate of your own. You both tensed at the proximity for the same reason. Taking your first few bites, you look at Simon who blissfully closes his eyes and groans with satisfaction.
That warm feeling begins to simmer in your belly wrongfully so. You turn back to chew before breaking the silence. “I’m glad! It’s been a while since i’ve sat down and ate with someone… it’s a lot different to watch someone actually enjoy something you put effort into.” He didn’t miss the wistful expression you wore. He wanted to fix it, he never wanted to see that pretty mouth fighting stay curved upwards.
Whether it be unknowingly or not, you brushed your knee against and for a moment you both paused in that position. The touch was light but it felt as though Simon’s body was overloaded with only you. Your touch, your eyes, your everything.
It took himself a second to recompose himself, but when he realized your body stayed put; his heart just about soared. Taking another forkful of food, he casually glanced at you and nudged his knee unmistakably to yours. The sound of your cutlery clanging onto the plate gives him a degree of satisfaction.
You simply kept looking down to your plate, whatever was in front of you, anything except his intense stare. Simon was a stranger. Simon was unsettling. Simon was in your home. Simon was so strong, so large he could manhandle you in ways your husband could never.
Your husband. Your life partner who you’ve remained loyal to for years. This was so wrong. You should be leaping out of your chair and separating yourself by 3 meters at least in protest.
So how come you allowed his hand to grip your thigh? You frowned, yet surrendered to his fingers which tilted your face towards him. You didn’t know Simon, but you’d be dense to miss the dark glint in his eyes as he takes in your hesitancy.
How the tables have turned. It was always you who initiated interaction with the morose giant, but as he held you firm in his clutches, you could only sit in wait for his next move.
Testing your reaction, he slowly brought his face closer to yours. Braving his gaze, you could only recognize want. He pressed a gentle kiss to your jaw as you tilted your chin upwards. You weren’t sure whether it was to avoid his lips or grant him better access to your neck.
“No no no come back to me. Come back.” He urged you carding his other hand through your hair, tugging you back. He had to see his bird's face, commit her to memory. Would her expression be like what he imagined? Better?
With a shaky raise of your arm, you caress his face with uncertainty. He needed to fuck you. The most depraved, wicked parts of his mind demanded it. His blood went straight down south at your gentle touch. He needed you to feel him, to feel all of him.
He would protect you from all the perversions those other tossers had to offer, with only one thing in return. To corrupt you from the inside with his own special brand filth. His fingers tightened ever so slightly in your hair.
“I wanna fuck you,” he leaned closer to your ear and nipped it “and I have a feeling my pretty bird wants the same thing, yeah?”
Simon’s words sent a jolt to your brain to sink further into the daze. Your lips parted and you turned to him with round eyes hiding the temptation swirling behind them. Your eyes wildly roved across his face, searching
He carried your things, he called you pretty, he ate your food, he talked to you, he wanted you, he wanted to fuck you, he wanted you to want to fuck him, you want to fuck him, you want to fuck him, you want to fuck him-
His impatience got the better of him when he pulled you into a frantic kiss. His lips were warm and the feeling of his hands holding you secure and upright only added fuel to the fire. How would they hold you when he took you to your bed? Would he be so kind?
Had Simon known your phone would ring loudly moments before finally getting what he wanted, he would have broken it with his own bare hands.
Your eyes cracked open to only be met with the sight of your husband’s contact photo and all at once your guilt hurtled at you. Sensing you pulling away, Simon couldn’t help but try and keep you to him for even a moment longer. He knew it was over when you pushed at his chest to break the connection.
“I’m- oh my gosh. I… i’m a horrible person! Shit! Shit!” You spiraled as you hurriedly got up from your seat and backed away from Simon as if his touch had burned you.
“Hey, hey it’s okay-” He attempted to console you, but was sharply interrupted with a tone he had yet to hear from you.
“No, no! You need to leave. Get out, please!” You screeched in shame. As Simon once again tried to approach closer to placate you, you only put a hand up with a hard look. “Leave. We shouldn’t have done that, it was a total betrayal of trust!”
“Okay. Okay. Don’t worry, ‘m gone.” His arms went up in surrender as he mirrored your own backward movements.
Your mind really went blank as you took deep breaths to calm yourself, Simon’s heavy footfalls receding and eventually fading from earshot entirely.
While you focused on calming yourself from your “mistaken” judgement, Simon could only think of one thing.
If his bird couldn’t be happy with that fuckin’ asshole in the picture, he’d have to weed out the problem from root.
That prick was a dead man walking.

Nothing within reflects anyone or anything irl. Pics off pinterest.
Twenty minutes later, all 4 of you were in a car heading to the Stray Kids apartment.  Something you would have killed for in the past.  But now you were nervous.  Your leg kept bouncing unconsciously, and you kept your gaze out the window, lip between your teeth.
“Why did you 3 stay behind?”  You ask mainly to distract yourself from the situation.  You understood why they sent Changbin away.  If he was truly ready to get violent, then that wasn’t a good thing, and it was for the best that he was removed from the situation.  And the temptation.
“We are the nicest, and Hyung is the leader.”  Han shrugged simply.
Honestly, valid.  If any of them were going to put someone at ease, it would be the sunshine twins.
Felix reached over and brushed your arm lightly with his fingertips.  He had been doing this every few minutes since he was forced to let go of your hands.  It was almost like he needed to make sure I was real.  That I was actually here and solid and okay.
With a sigh that was half fond, you roll your eyes and grab his hand, lacing your fingers firmly with his.  Contact may help your nerves anyway.  It was a win-win.  Felix did seem to visibly relax in his seat, face smoothing out and looking content.
Chan looked back from the front seat.  He had been texting on his phone for almost the whole ride.  “I have someone bringing you clothes and a phone.”  He informed you.  “Here, text them anything else you want.”  He handed you back his phone without hesitation.
“Can you do that?  Just hand your phone to some rando you just met?”  You ask not moving to take the device.  You didn’t know how it worked for him, but you had all kinds of information on your phone.  Passwords, noods, bank numbers, you name it!  You could do all sorts of things with his phone if you had the intention to.
Your fangirl heart was really struggling today.  You are not sure how you weren’t screaming and crying being so close to 3 members of Stray Kids.  You were even almost calmly holding Felixs hand!  THE BangChan was now handing you his PERSONAL PHONE!   That’s it!  You can’t!  You just can’t!
Chan patiently continues to hold the phone out to you.  “You could argue that my soul has known yours for a long time, so we aren’t strangers.  Plus, you aren’t some rando.  You are our soulmate.  I would give you anything.”
Blushing, you take the phone gingerly.  It was opened to an ongoing text chain with someone named Dohyun.  The chain started in Korean but transitioned to English.  You didn’t think they realized you could read and write Korean fluently since you were 6 years old.  Your grandfather was a very traditional man and insisted on it.  He taught you all about your heritage.  Even on his deathbed, he was giving you last-minute lessons.
You kept hold of Felixs hand even as you used both yours to start typing in English.  It was sneaky and shady, but you wanted to see – or well hear – what they would say if they didn’t know you could understand them.  And it’s not like they ever asked, and you lied about knowing Korean.  They just assumed.
The first thing you did was send them your bank info and very strict instructions to use only your money.  You would not let yourself be indebted to them.  Well, any more than you already were.  You weren’t keeping track, but since they kidnapped you, you felt like you were pretty even right now, with them letting you stay with them, and you wanted to keep it that way.
You could feel Felix reading over your shoulder, but he didn’t protest.  He just watched in silence as you made your list and gave them clothing sizes and preferences.  You only needed enough to get by for now.  You had stuff back at your house, and anything else you could shop for yourself.
“Did I miss anything?”  You ask Felix after coming up on nothing else to add for a long minute.
Felix hummed as he thought.  “Do you want your own bedsheets or anything?”  He asked.  You shake your head.  You could use what they had already.  No use spending money on that.
Han leaned in to look, but didn’t give any suggestions, so you sent the message and handed Chan his phone back before your inner demons won and you started to look through his phone and invade his privacy and trust.  You were only human, after all.
Chan scanned the text but also didn’t say anything about your instructions to only use your money.  You choose to believe it was them respecting your wishes and not something else odd or secret going on like the dark part of your brain was trying to tell you it was.
When the car finally slowed and came to a stop, you didn’t move to get out.  Instead, you looked out the window again at the very imposing building you would be living in.  You were not a big city person.  You avoided large crowds for the most part.  So this extremely tall and glittery building was overpowering to you.
“This had been a very hard day for me.”  You say quietly to no one in particular.  You didn’t know how to describe everything you were feeling.  How mixed your thoughts were.  The ups and downs you have been through over the last few hours alone.  You could feel your mind and emotions wanting to go numb, comfortably blank.  You could feel yourself fighting to not shut down.  There was still a lot to do yet before you could.
Chan reached and patted your knee lightly.  “I warned them to give you some space tonight.  Lino made you some dinner, but he and Hyunjin headed out for the evening.”
“What about Seungminnie and Ayen?”  Han asked.
You were thankful they were giving you a few minutes more to get ready.  Also that you weren’t going to be bombarded by the other members of the group just yet.
“And Bin Hyung?”  Felix asked, back to stroking the back of your hand with his thumb.
“Min and Ayen went to practice some more.  They said they would be there until late.  Bin refused to leave.  He is still worked up.  Y/n, he is a clinger, and since he was so affected by what they did to you, he will most likely be worse than usual. Just be prepared, and don't be afraid to tell him to back off if you need to. He will get over it."
You nod absently, already knowing that you will welcome the cuddles after the day you have had. Especially since it will bring more comfort to the space in your chest that the others affect.
Just four. You could handle one more person for sure. And food sounded amazing. You hadn't had anything since breakfast the day you were kidnapped. Whenever that was. At this point, you didn't know. Was it a day ago? Two days? Time was gone at this point. And right now, you didn't care to figure it out. It could wait until tomorrow. It would right itself eventually. When it mattered. When you needed it.
Now that you were thinking about food, your stomach clenched in hunger. You were thankful it didn't make an embarrassing sound like it always did in anime's.
"Is Lee Know really a good cook or is that just hype?" You ask, both out of curiosity and to buy yourself more time.
Han laughed. "Oh, it's not hype. It's amazing!" His laugh made you smile.
Felix tugged on your hand. "C'mon. We got you." He spoke lowly, giving the illusion of privacy.
His assurance, however, did help a bit, and you gave him a nod. As if waiting for a cue you didn't see or hear, the door was opened, and you were on your way to the apartment. You kind of felt odd. Out of body.
Chan barely guided you through the door before a large set of arms engulfed you. You blink and freeze in confusion.
"Bin, give her a minute!" Chan chastised behind you.
You take a deep breath and wave him off. Using the hand not still holding Felixs to rub down Changbins spine in soothing long strokes. He shivered lightly in response.
After a minute, he let go and took a step back. "I'm sorry. Last time I saw you, you were so out of it and terrified. I haven't been able to get it out of my head." He shifted, not so subtly checking me over, eyes lingering on my bruised wrists and hands.
"Most of those are my fault. I broke out of two sets of zip ties before they used the metal cuffs." You shrugged. All those hours of doom scrolling through the clock app did actually do some good. You learned how to break zip ties. It gave you a chance to attempt to escape. You weren't successful in escaping, but you for sure made it difficult for them. And you were oddly proud of that fact.
Changbins face lit up with a smile, and you blinked, stunned. "What?" You asked.
"Out girl is a fighter! I'm just so proud!" He responded.
"Changbin!" Chan snapped. Probably because of the 'our girl' comment. You just chose to ignore it. Choose your battles and all that jazz.
You shrugged one shoulder. "I wasn't about to go down without a fight."
Changbins face dropped so abruptly into a dark mask that you had to stop yourself from stepping back automatically as a shiver of fear crawled up your spine. That look was downright terrifying. You never wanted that look aimed your way.
"What that asshole did to you was wrong! So wrong! And if they'd let me, I'd knock his lights out. Break his jaw so he could never give another idiotic order like that again!" He spoke lowly, calmly, which made it all the more terrifying.
"I'd let you. I'd join you. Hold him down for you." You respond without hesitation.
Han squeezed his way by. "Seriously, Bin. She hasn't eaten. Let her in." He spoke in Korean. You did your best to keep up the illusion. You couldn't understand what he said.
"Yes. Lee Know left food for all of you. I'm Changbin, by the way. Or Bin, Binnie, whatever you want to call me."
Why did they all feel the need to introduce themselves like they weren't famous? Just politeness? It was really hard not to respond sarcastically.
"Y/n." You introduced yourself as you walked into the apartment, and the smell of BBQed meat hit your nose. Your mouth immediately started to water, and you swallowed.
Felix let go of your hand in favor of diving for a plate of the steaming food that was sitting in 4 spots on the table. "Oh, it smells so good!" He moaned, taking a deep sniff close to the food.
You wholeheartedly agreed. You awkwardly sat and took the fork Chan offered me to replace the chopsticks they didn't know I could use. Another thing they just assumed instead of asking that you would let them think for a while.
You could feel their eyes on you as you took your first bite, and you tried not to be self-conscious and overthink how you chewed or anything like that. Focusing instead firmly on the food in front of you.
As soon as the flavor hit your tongue, you forgot all about them watching. It was a brand new flavor for you. Nothing like any BBQ chicken you have ever had before. It was amazing, and you took another bite before you even swallowed the first.
"Guess that means you like it." Chan chuckled, finally digging into his own food. You just nod, still chewing happily.
"Lino will be glad to hear it. I think he was a little nervous. He kept fiddling with it before Hyune finally dragged him away." Binnie revealed as he sat with us.
It was mostly silent as you all focused on the food. Your stomach was singing in praise at finally having something in it besides the tiny cup of water Felix gave you earlier.
"Did you have enough?" Bin asked as you finished up your last bite. You nod, rubbing your stuffed belly in contentment.
"That was very good, thank you. And thank Lee Know for me, please." You request.
"No problem." Chan started. "So, I'm sure you want to shower and stuff. I can show you to your room. It has a private bathroom. And I'm sure we can find you some clothes to wear until the personal shopper gets here. As long as you don't mind wearing our clothes." Chan stood and picked up all the dishes, placing them in the sink as he spoke.
I bit my cheek. There was no way there was an extra room with a private bath just sitting empty. "I don't mind borrowing clothes if you don't mind. But who's room am I stealing?"
"You didn't steal anything. I figured you would be more comfortable with your own bathroom."
So, Chans room then. That makes sense. He was the oldest. He would have the choice room.
Bin let you gently down a hall, hand just brushing the small of my back like he was afraid to touch me all of a sudden. the others followed like little ducklings. You laughed at the images that produced in your mind silently.
The room was simple and nice. Warm colors accented the plain white walls. Navy blue blanket on the nearly made bed. You suspected they were fresh blankets and sheets for you. It was also bare. Very little personal belongings, and you could see the drawers were empty.
"I moved in with Minnie. Figured you would need the drawers." Chan shrugged when he noticed my line of sight.
"We moved everything over while you were at JYPE. We were hoping you would choose to stay." Bin explained further.
You felt a little emotional. They had all already done so much for you. For your comfort. And you had displaced five of them. Four from the apartment and Chan from his room. You were for sure being annoying. A burden. "This is too much."
I watched as four faces fell and felt even guiltier. "What's wrong? You need us to leave?" Han asked, wringing his hands. It was a nervous habit of his you had noticed. One that STAY normally didn't get to see.
You waved your hands. "No, no! Not like that! I mean... I kicked four of you out of your home!"
"Y/n, they are fine for a few hours. They don't mind and they will come back later." Chan assured you. Bin nodded in confirmation.
You gestured around the room. "And you? I kicked you out of your room!"
Chan smiled and tucked a piece of stray hair from your face. You could feel how knotted it was. How unkempt and stringy. "We have all been dying to finally have you here. Everyone knows I don't sleep. So, I really don't need a room. I tend to sleep wherever I land that night. We all just want you to be comfortable and happy."
"You promise you won't get less sleep because of this - me. Any of you."
Chan's face softened into a look you didn't understand but made your stomach do a little flutter. "I promise, y/n."
The shower was perfect. Just this side of melting your skin off and a constant messaging water pressure that made you moan loudly and throw your head back.
You startle as there was a crash in the bedroom. "Everything okay?" You called, heart still racing a bit. You stopped moving, straining to listen for an answer.
"Yeah! Yupp! All good. Just...fell." Felixs voice came through the door, sounding muffled but strangely high pitched.
"Did you hurt yourself?"
"No, nope. I'm good. Um - I put some of Innie's clothes on the bed for you. They should work well enough."
You called out your thanks and went back to showering. You used what you assumed were Chans soaps. They smelled lightly fragranced. Like baby powder almost, but with a perfume edge. You were a fan.
When you were done and left the bathroom, you found a couple of pieces of clothes laid out on the bed. A pair of black boxers with chilis printed on them and a gray t-shirt. I slipped both on, swimming in the shirt, but comfy.
But what did you do now. No one was in the bedroom anymore. You were mentally exhausted and looked at the bed but weren't willing to get in it yet.
In the end, you silently crept from the room to find the others. Maybe chat or better yet watch TV. Something that uses no brainpower. Something mundane and normal.
The hall was still lit, and you could hear several voices. Maybe they were already watching TV. That would make it less awkward. You could just silently join them.
As soon as you stepped round the corner and into the living room, you almost ran right into I.N holding a glass of water. You both froze. You in shock, you didn't know the others came back yet.
I.N looked you over once before spitting out the water he had been holding in his mouth. "You gave her my underwear!" He screeched. The whole room was looking at you both now. Seungmin was sitting on the couch next to Chan.
Felix shrugged, unapologetic. "The only thing I could find that looked like it would fit and be comfortable to sleep in." He explained.
"Did I do something wrong?" You asked, very entertained by I.Ns reaction. You fiddle with the hem on the shirt.
"No!" Everyone in the room instantly replied. You blink owlishly at them. That was kind of intense.
Changbin made grabby hands at you from the loveseat he sat on. Your heart freaking melted at the adorableness.
"That was so fucking cute, oh my god!" You breath.
I.N snorted. You stick your tongue out at him as you pass to sit next to Changbin, which only made him snort again.
Changbin immediately pulled your legs over his lap and put an arm around the front of your hips. "Ayen and Minnie ended up coming home earlier than expected. Sorry."
You shrug. "It's their home. And I feel better after the shower. I'll be fine. Thank you."
"Bin, don't hog our girl!" Felix pouted, bouncing over on his tip toes.
Somehow, he managed to wedge himself onto the loveseat behind you. You were half sitting on his lap.
You had a feeling both Bin and Felix were going to be the clingiest ones. Not that you minded. You loved to cuddle. And so far, they were A class cuddlers.
There was some sitcom playing on the large TV. Someone even put english subtitles on for me.
A shiver ran through you, and goosebumps rose on your skin. Less than a minute later, a blanket was draped over your legs, and Seungmin was behind the loveseat rubbing a towel over your damp hair.
"Stupid. Your hair is still wet, and you aren't wearing enough. You're going to get sick." He grumbled, still drying my hair. You couldn't help but giggle. He was so aggressively caring.
When my hair was satisfactorily dry, he left and came back with a brush to gently untangle my mussed hair.
His fingers and the brush were so gentle in your hair that you could feel yourself drifting off. It had been such a long time since someone played with your hair like this. You forgot how relaxing it was.
You must have actually fallen asleep because next you looked the TV was off and it was just you, Bin, Felix, and I.N in the living room. You could hear the others nearby talking lowly and also some wet smacks you suspected were kisses.
"What time is it?" You mumble, rubbing your face on the back of the couch.
"Just after midnight." Felix answered quietly. You did fall asleep then. For several hours.
You move and stretch out so your top half was now in Felixs lap, already halfway asleep again. "Is that Lee Know and Hyunjin?"
There was a hum of affirmation, and Felix started running his fingers through your hair. You were asleep again seconds later, not even caring that you were laying in the laps of two men you had only just met.

ghost proposing, a little angst but very very sweet
they have the night off and he’d already be devouring her whole if she wasn’t so excited about going out. it’s a shit bar close to base, but she reasons it’s a good change of scenery.
and boy is it, terrible karaoke heard a mile away. the military wives, or rather soon to be, taken over. a bachelorette party of at least six women, loud and obnoxious.
soap and gaz find it to be the most hilarious thing in the world, applauding a brunette on stage over her disastrous performance of careless whisper. but ghost can’t help but watch y/n, her smile not quite reaching her eyes. throughout the night he silently dissects her, his assumption it being some sort of yearning for female company. but as one of the women come up to their table, asking if anyone from the squad could take a picture of the rowdy group, ghost swallows harshly. y/n jumps at the opportunity, congratulating the bride like they’ve know each other their whole lives.
they never discussed the nature of their relationship. hell, the word relationship was never even voiced out loud. but even a stranger could tell how they moved in sync, his reflection and her shadow. in their line of work it was best case scenario and simon never allows himself to think about there ever being more.
but that is until y/n asks to see the ring. it’s almost comical, the gigantic diamond blinding, making her squint. ghost finds himself scoffing behind the mask, he could easily read y/n’s compliment a lie. she would never wear anything like it.
the following months ghost finds himself ring shopping. fucking hell, what is he thinking, really? his tongue can’t even roll the world girlfriend. and yet here he is, glaring at the poor saleswoman like she’s supposed to know none of these expensive rocks are good enough for his y/n.
when the ring is finally chosen, he doesn’t quite know what to do. he’s horrified of y/n finding it so the ring stays on his person at all times, even in the field. he’s less talkative than usual, if that’s even possible, always looking for the right moment. brushing their teeth together in the morning, ghost buried between her thighs in the evening. he nearly does it one late night, y/n perched on the window sill of her room. swimming in moonlight, she looks ethereal. he’s done unimaginable things in his life, taken and saved lives. none of the gore ever phased him, but the sight of her has his stomach turning.
so he chickens out. regret begins to gnaw at him as the very next mission goes haywire. y/n barks at him through the comms, the sweetest sound in the world, even if she’s telling him to get out, explosives ticking in the building. he’s trying, he really is. his gear seems to get heavier by the minute with a broken rib threatening to seize his lungs. he can make out her silhouette by the exit, but it’s out of reach. the floor crumbles beneath him.
when ghost wakes up, he immediately spots soap pacing back and forth, as much as the tiny ward of the hospital would allow him. y/n is passed out in the chair next to his bed, his balaclava clutched to her chest.
“good to have you back, lt.” soap whispers not to wake the sleeping soldier. “how ye feeling?”
“was she hurt?”
“no.” soap shakes his head, knowing how important the answer is before he can move on to his long awaited teasing, pulling out a velvet box out of his pocket. “i suppose it was foolish to question who this belonged to then. didn’t take you for the marrying kind, lt.”
he wasn’t, but if it pleased y/n, he’d marry her a thousand times. and even though ghost wants to be annoyed with the sergeant, he’s already decided to promote him to best man for finding the ring before y/n could.
when ghost gets released, it takes time to find courage to open the velvet box. it’s barely holding together, taking most of the damage to protect what’s inside. the ring is chipped, the intricate band of petite diamonds has at least five distinct cuts. they’re surprisingly neat, but asymmetrical and obvious to they eye. he can only curse, what a fool he was to convince himself that there could be something more.
“what’s that?” y/n is right next to him, her stealth impressive as she appears unnoticed in his room.
he can tell her awe for the ring is genuine, eyes eyes lighting up at the piece of jewelry. she pries it out of his hold, standing close to the window to examine the gems reflecting daylight. she disregards the cracks completely, telling him it adds character to it. the sincerity of her smile makes it hard to breathe.
“so who’s the lucky girl then?” she asks, never once trying on the ring.
“who- who’s the lucky girl? bloody hell woman, who do you think?”
they’re both dumbfounded, y/n by the answer and ghost by the question. and ghost knows he said the wrong thing as y/n shrinks in her spot, her gaze glued to the floor.
“i mean- i- i really don’t know.” she stutters, growing shy likes he’s never seen her before.
“try it on.”
“what?“
“come here.“
y/n allows him to hold her hand, sliding the ring on her finger with utmost care. it fits perfect, just her size and taste. her eyes jump between him and the ring, mind going a mile a minute.
“what do you reckon?“ his voice is low and quiet, and that’s all he says. it dawns on her that he’s really doing this, proposing in the most simon riley way possible.
“i didn’t even know we were dating.” she can’t help the jaw numbing smile that overtakes her, gently squeezing her hand in his.
“‘cause we’re not. we’re engaged.”
