some people...
#are just so ignorant or unaware like who raised them đ« #i mean i also see how i might be in some situations but not like that!#so i had a football match for the club i play last weekend#and a teammate of mine spilled a drink on the floor#which ok it can happen it's fine#but then she was like if we have cleaners at the club (yes we do)?#and she did not want to clean it up herself like she meant it's their job to do that đ”âđ«đ”âđ«#and i was like 'yeah but that's not cool' (to leave it like that) - not sure if she actually heard it but#and thank god another teammate also noticed and she also reminded her that she canât leave it like that#but like???#that's so rude... just because it's their job to clean the room doesn't mean you can't be a decent human being!#(i mean i guess it would be kind of different if it happened in a supermarket then no one wants you to clean it here but... still)#clearly she never worked in customer service i suppose.#like treat those people who do these rather unpleasant jobs most don't want to do with respect#it's already hard enough and customers can be awful sometimes#also it's not even that she is like rich or very priviledged or sth. (not that that's an excuse)...#i think quite the opposite but idk did no one ever tell her this? and maybe also that she hasn't worked a lot in her life and it shows ig#sometimes i think it would do people some good to at least once in their life work in customer service...#it's a great reminder to treat others with kindness and not like that đ

Yay, my first Rafe fic! And yâall I havenât written smut in years so I hope this isnât awful. I would love to turn this into a sort-of series of interconnected baby daddy! Rafe and baby mama! reader one shots if you guys would be interested in that!
â
âMaaaamaaaaa!â
You couldnât help but smile to yourself when you were woken up by the baby monitor. Iris never woke up angry and crying, you were greeted every morning to the sounds of her babbling to herself and calling for you.
It may have been earlier than youâd like, but it certainly wasnât a bad way to wake up.
You climbed out of bed, wiping your eyes before standing and walking down the hall towards the nursery. There was a chorus of âMamamamamaâ as you headed towards your 1 year old daughter, who greeted you standing in her crib with the biggest smile. Her sleep sack was tucked beneath her feet - youâre not sure how she even manages to stand in it.
âHi, pretty girl,â you greeted her, earning a giggle from the baby. She never failed to brighten up your mood, just by existing. You always heard a parentâs love for their child is intense, but you didnât quite believe it until you had her and experienced it yourself.
She also happens to be the cutest baby to ever exist. With her head full of brown hair and blue eyes, she is certainly her fatherâs daughter. Sheâs tall for her age, too. You thought it was a little bit bullshit that you carried her for 9 months and did all the hard work just for her to come out her dadâs twin, but how could you really complain when she was so beautiful?
Iris lifted her arms for you to pick her up, and you couldnât help but give her a snuggle before you moved to the changing table. You got her changed out of her pajamas and into a clean diaper, dressing her for the day in a light green dress with bunnies embroidered on the chest, a long sleeve white shirt underneath.
Iris had an extensive wardrobe. Shopping for clothes and putting together outfits was one of your favorite parts of being a girl mom, so you were certainly guilty of overspending on her, but the truth was that most of her closet came from Rafe. In fact, most of her stuff in general was from Rafe.
You never asked him to do any of that, but he was always showing up unannounced with shopping bags full of baby clothes, toys, anything he saw and thought she would like. Random packages would show up throughout the week, stuff he found online and sent directly to your house. He spoiled her badly, but it made them both happy, so you didnât complain. You wanted her to have the world, anything she wanted, and you couldnât quite provide that, but Rafe could.
âGood morning, my favorite tiny person!â Your twin brother, JJ, greeted his niece as he walked into the pink bedroom. She giggled the second she saw him, and he scooped her into his arms, twirling her around and making her laugh harder.
âJayJay!â she exclaimed, her tiny hands reaching for his messy blonde hair immediately.
âAnd I also existâŠâ you mumbled as you threw the dirty diaper away in the pail, but you couldnât help the smile on your lips.
JJ acknowledged you with an eye roll before turning right back to Iris. âAre you ready for a day out with Uncle JJ?â
Iris grinned wildly at her uncle, one of her favorite people in the world. She didnât exactly know what that meant, but if it involved JJ, she was certainly happy to be there.
You made pancakes for breakfast, which both JJ and Iris absolutely devoured. Iris was covered in a mess of syrup when she was finished, but thanks to a combination of her bib and baby smock thing, she didnât get a drop on her outfit. You cleaned up her face and hands, Iris fighting you the entire time.
âYou have everything she needs?â You asked nervously as JJ packed up the diaper bag, Iris dancing in front of the TV to the Bluey theme song.
âI got diapers, wipes, a sippy cup, a change of clothesâŠI think Iâm set, sis,â he said, giving a look that says calm down, Iâve got this.
It was hard for you to not be nervous letting your daughter go off without you. She was still rarely out of your sight, besides Rafeâs weekends. You were too nervous to send her to daycare, at least not yet, and Rafe agreed, so he helped pay the bills in the house you shared with JJ while you stayed home with her, which gave you the chance to work on college courses online.
âYou packed snacks in case she gets hungry?â You asked, fiddling with the string of your pajama shorts. You hadnât even had the chance to get changed into real clothes yet, since youâd been following Iris around all morning and making sure she was set to go.
âYes,â JJ answered, sounding frustrated. âIâve got this. We wonât even be gone long, sheâs going to be fine.â
You probably would have come up with another question, but you were all interrupted by the front door opening as someone let themselves into the house like they owned the place. You and JJ looked towards the direction of the hallway as the sound of footsteps trailed down it, even though you definitely already knew who it was.
âDada!â Iris practically squealed, and she ran as fast as her little legs would carry her towards the tall frame of her father, who was grinning like crazy and setting down a bag.
âThereâs my girl,â he said, crouching down with his arms open wide to catch her. She tripped over her own feet at the last second, falling against his chest as he wrapped his arms around her, standing to his full height again. Iris wrapped her tiny arms around his neck.
âShe was just about to head out for a date with Uncle JJ,â you said, smiling at your daughterâs laughing face.
Rafe looked away from her to give you a questioning look. âWhy is JJ taking her?â he asked like your brother wasnât even in the room. JJ rolled his eyes, but didnât bother to say anything.
âHe wanted to spend time with her,â you answered. âAnd I have a big exam to take so I needed a couple hours alone.â
Rafe looked at you like he was confused, concerned. He was protective of his girl. âIf you needed someone to watch her, you should have called me.â
âI know youâd watch her any time,â you said, not wanting to argue with him today. âBut JJ really has been wanting to take her to the park, so I told him he could.â
Rafeâs eyes finally went to JJ, and he scoffed with a roll of his eyes, but didnât push it. He sat Iris back down as JJ zipped up the diaper bag and slung it over his shoulder, picking up the car keys.
âAlright, little lady, ready to go?â JJ asked, a smile on his face as Iris danced around.
âGo! Go!â She chanted, jumping up and down. JJ picked her up, sitting her on his hip.
âAlright. Weâre gone,â he said, leaning over to give you a kiss on the cheek. âSee you guys later.â
âHave fun!â you called after them. âBe safe!â
JJ acknowledged you with a âYep!â and then the front door was closing, leaving you alone with Rafe.
You looked at him. He didnât look like he was in a rush to leave.
âWhat did you bring?â you asked, gesturing to the bag he had sat by his feet.
âOh, itâs nothing,â he shrugged. âJust some clothes.â
You laughed lightly to yourself - the little girl already had so many clothes, you werenât sure if sheâd be able to wear them all before she grew out of them.
You took the bag from him, sitting it down on the couch to go through later. You always liked to wash her clothes before letting her wear them, because who knows what kind of germs theyâve picked up in the store.
Rafe trailed behind you as you walked back into the kitchen, picking up the dishes from breakfast and washing them in the sink. He stood next to you without a word and helped by drying them after you washed.
When you were done, you turned around, leaning against the counter. Rafe picked up the stack of dishes and put them away in the cabinet they go in, before walking over to stand right in front of you. He reached up, pushing your hair behind your shoulder.
âYou look pretty,â he murmured, his eyes taking in your frame.
You laughed softly. âI havenât even changed out of my pajamas. I just rolled out of bed.â
A smile played at Rafeâs lips, his hand moving to rest on your cheek. âSo? Youâre always pretty.â
You rolled your eyes, but couldnât help the way your heart beat harder in your chest, your cheeks beginning to heat. âDidnât you have a date last night, Rafe?â
That made him chuckle. âYou knew about that, huh?â
You felt embarrassed, then. You werenât supposed to know that. The only reason you did was because Sarah had told you. You werenât supposed to care.
âIt was nothing,â he continued. âWe didnât really click. She wasâŠboring.â
You felt guilty for the satisfaction that brought you. Rafe hadnât had a serious girlfriend since you had gotten pregnant, and you liked it that way. You and Rafe werenât good for each other, you broke up long ago and it should stay that way. But you canât help how jealous you feel any time the topic of Rafe and another girl comes up, and Rafe always seems to catch an attitude with you for days every time you mention seeing a guy.
âWell Iâm sorry to hear that,â you lied, highly aware of how close he was standing to you now.
His thumb rubbed over your cheek before he moved it to your lips, tracing over them, pulling down slightly on your bottom lip.
âMissed youâŠâ he muttered, his voice low. You felt the vibrations of it through your own body.
Despite your best judgment, your mind went hazy around him. You could feel his breath against your cheek. âIâve missed you too,â you whispered back, like a fool.
He smirked at that, and then before you knew what was happening, he was leaning in, pressing his lips to yours. They molded together perfectly, as they always did. Rafeâs lips were soft against yours as he kissed you gently at first, almost as if he was testing the waters.
The kiss became more hungry before long, and then he was pressing his body closer to yours, one hand staying on your cheek while the other moved down to rest on your hip. He had his body pressed against yours, practically devouring you with his kiss, his tongue tracing along your bottom lip.
You let him in. Of course you did, you always do.
His tongue pressed into your mouth like it belongs to him. Thereâs never been anything shy about Rafe. You heard yourself moan into the kiss before you even realized it was you that made the noise, and you felt Rafeâs lips turn up into a grin as he kissed you.
His big hands trailed down your body until he bent down and they reached the backs of your thighs, then he was lifting you up, causing you to squeal and wrap your legs around his waist, giggling against his lips. He laughed too, and he began walking through the house and back towards your bedroom.
He dropped you on the bed and you looked up at him, already breathless. He wasted no time before he was crawling over you, his right hand leaning on the bed and his left sliding beneath the hem of your tank top. It slid up until he was cupping your bare breast, grabbing it and gently pinching at your nipple, drawing a moan from your lips.
He placed kisses all over your neck, gently biting every now and then, as his hand kept up its movements. âYou always had the perfect fucking tits,â he groaned against your skin.
He sat up, his other hand joining in on your other breast. He yanked your tank top up to palm at your tits more, giving himself full view of them, thoroughly enjoying himself. Eventually he pulled the thin material over your head entirely, tossing it onto the floor carelessly.
Then he leaned forward again, wrapping his lips around one of your nipples, making you moan in pleasure as his hand slipped beneath the waistband of your shorts. His fingertips traced along your pussy over your panties, feeling how wet the material was already. That made him groan against your tits, sending a shock of vibrations through your sensitive nipple.
âFeels like youâve been wanting this,â he said, satisfied with the effect he still has on you.
You didnât even bother denying that. You wanted him desperately. His every touch was like electricity, and all you wanted was to feel him inside you again.
His hand moved up to slip beneath your panties, and you gasped when you felt his fingertips teasing over your slick folds. He moved up to press his lips to yours again, kissing you passionately as he pressed a finger against your entrance.
âRafeâŠâ you breathed out against his lips, and he groaned at the sound of his name on your tongue. He never got tired of it.
âYou gonna be a good girl for me?â he asked, placing kisses around your mouth, over your cheek.
âYes,â you promised him. You would have promised him anything in that moment, you think.
He pushed one long finger into you then, and you whined, back arching slightly. His eyes darted down to your chest at the movement, and you would have laughed at his obsession with your tits if you werenât distracted by the feeling of his finger knuckle deep inside you.
He curled it up, pressing right up against that bundle of nerves deep inside you. Youâre losing your mind from one finger - it really had been too long.
He added in another finger, stretching you further, and you felt the cold from his ring as he pushed both fingers in all the way. It sent shivers through your body. You were desperate for him to move, to just fuck you already, but he always liked to take his time with you.
After what felt like an eternity, he slowly began to pull his fingers out before pushing them back in. The pace was agonizingly slow, but he was also pushing against that perfect spot every time he thrusted his fingers all the way back inside.
âMore, please,â you begged him, your eyes fluttering closed and body writhing beneath him with desperation. You began to push your hips down against his hand, begging him to move faster.
âLook at you,â he chuckled darkly, and you could hear the grin in his voice without having to open your eyes. âFucking yourself on my fingers. You were always such a needy little slut.â
You felt yourself blushing at his dirty words, but they also only turned you on more, and you started moving your hips along the length of his fingers even faster. He groaned at the sight of you, and he began thrusting his fingers into you at a powerful pace, wanting to reward you for being good for him.
His palm pressed against your clit, rubbing against it perfectly as he kept hitting that perfect spot over and over.
You felt that familiar feeling building deep in your belly, and your thighs began trembling. Rafe noticed, picking up his movements.
âFeel good, baby? Gonna cum on my fingers?â he teased, watching your face with full interest.
âYes,â you whined, feeling like your vision was going blurry. You felt it through every part of your body, and your pussy clenched tight around his fingers, which he couldnât get enough of.
Your orgasm crashed through you without warning and you cried out, body arching and hips rocking against his hand even harder. Rafe worked you through it, praising you, watching you come undone on nothing but his fingers.
âGood little whore,â he praised, watching you hungrily. âYou want my cock now?â
âYes!â you answered quickly, practically yelling it. âYes, please, Rafe.â
Satisfied with your answer, he removed his fingers from your pussy, making you whine at the empty feeling, despite the incredible orgasm you just came down from. Your eyes popped open and you made eye contact as he put his slick fingers in his mouth, sucking them clean with a groan.
He moved to his knees between your legs, pulling his own shirt over his head and tossing it away. You took in the sight of his muscular chest, toned abs, thick biceps. You felt like you were drooling over him. Your attention didnât escape his notice, and he laughed.
His big hands slid over your smooth tanned legs, from your calves to your thighs. He squeezed them, and then he was moving even further up, hooking his fingers into the waistband of your shorts and panties and pulling them down together.
When you were completely bare before him, he drank in your naked body, eyes raking over you with obvious hunger. You could see the prominent bulge in his khaki colored shorts, and you wanted so badly to reach out and touch it.
His hands moved to his belt, and he made quick work of his pants, undoing them and pushing them down his legs. He was left in his boxers, and you did reach forward then, trailing your fingers lightly over his clothed cock.
He groaned at your touch, his hips involuntarily bucking forward. He didnât say it, but you suspected it had been a while for him, too, and the thought of that pleased you. He gripped your wrist roughly, stopping your movements but looking like he really hadnât wanted to.
âI donât have long today,â he said, his breathing heavy now. âMade plans. We have to be quick.â
He pushed his boxers down his thighs, revealing his cock, already painfully hard and aching, pre cum smeared at his tip. You took in the sight of it like you were starving. He was so big, it had intimidated you the first time you slept together. Hell, it intimidated you now. You wanted to take him in your mouth, but thatâs not what he had in mind today.
He crawled back over you, leaning on his arms on either side of your shoulders. He leaned down to kiss you deeply, then moved to placing kisses along your jawline and down your neck, over your chest. It was nice, and you sighed at the feeling.
âYouâre still on the pill, right?â he questioned as you felt his thick length pressing up against your core. You shivered at the feeling.
âYes,â you answered. As cute as Iris was, you both could agree that you didnât need another accidental pregnancy when you werenât even together.
âGood,â he replied, and then he was reaching down between your bodies, lining his tip up with your entrance.
When he finally pushed inside you, you gasped at the stretch, gripping onto his biceps for leverage, which he loved. He pushed into you slowly, knowing it had been a while since youâd been together and not wanting to hurt you. When he bottomed out, he stilled, but his body was shaking like all he wanted to do was fuck into you senselessly.
You let out a shaky exhale, and he kissed you again.
âYou feel so perfect, like youâre made for me,â he breathed against your lips, and you moaned at his words.
âYou can move,â you told him. âI can take it.â
He groaned at that, and then he slowly pulled out until only the tip remained inside of you, and you found yourself hating the empty feeling he left behind. Then he pushed back in slowly yet powerfully with a roll of his hips, and you felt full again.
He set a gentle pace at first, rocking into you deeply but softly. He kissed you as he moved, distracting you from any potential pain, wanting to keep your focus on him and how good he makes you feel. Because no one does it like him.
âMore,â you pleaded when there was no trace of pain left, and all you wanted him to do was fuck you properly. âHarder, please, Rafe.â
You didnât have to tell him twice. He picked up the pace, rutting into your tight heat faster. He buried his face in your neck, groaning at the feeling of you wrapped so tightly around him.
Whimpers and moans fell from your own lips uncontrollably as he fucked you hard, his cock diving even deeper into you than you remembered and making you see stars. Your nails dug into his back, leaving deep red scratches that made him hiss in a mix of pain and pleasure. He loved it when you marked him up.
His sat up more on his knees and his hands grasped the bottoms of your thighs, pushing them up until they were pressed against your chest, making it harder to breathe but also letting him fuck you at a new angle that was impossibly deep and overwhelming.
You let out a strangled moan at the new feeling, and Rafe grunted harshly with every brutal thrust into your pussy.
âLove this fucking cunt,â he grunted out through gritted teeth, a slight sheen of sweat on his tanned skin. âAlways think about it. Always come back to it. Canât fucking get enough of it.â
He moved one hand back to your clit, rubbing circles over it as he fucked you deep. You gasped, moaning loudly as he built up another orgasm in your body, that familiar heat spreading all over you.
âRafeâŠâm so closeâŠâ you whined out, which only made him move even harder.
âCum for me again, baby. All over my cock this time. You can do it, baby, Iâm right here.â heâs breathing heavily as he speaks, his own release building rapidly.
The tension snaps, and you cum hard, thighs trembling around his body and his name spilling from your lips like a prayer. He worked you through it again, his fingers continuing to work circles over your clit until it became too much.
When you came down from your second high and were left a shaking mess beneath him, he moved both hands back to grip your thighs against your chest as he fucked into you roughly, chasing his own high that was so, so close.
âGonna fill you up in a second, baby,â he grunts out, watching the way you look up at him, looking completely cock drunk because of him. âYou want that?â
âYes,â you managed to tell him, your body weak now. âWant you to cum in me deep.â
âYeah?â he questioned, your words clearly doing something to him. âI bet you would like that. I bet youâd love if I put another baby in you, wouldnât you, whore?â
All you could do was moan in response, taking everything he gave you. His pace began to falter, his hips stuttering as he took everything he wanted from you. He pushed into you as deep as he could, stilling, leaning forward to bury his face in your neck again as he groaned loudly and filled you deeply. You grasped the back of his head as he came inside you, holding him close.
He didnât move for a minute when he was done. He stayed on you, catching his breath, as you held him back.
Eventually he pulled out of you, collapsing next to you with a big sigh. He wiped his hand across his forehead, breathing heavily. It was silent but for the sounds of the two of you catching your breath.
Finally, you spoke. âYou really missed me, huh?â you teased him, looking over at his naked form on your bed.
He laughed, lifting himself up. ââCourse I did. I always do.â He stood from the bed and began to pull his clothes back on, tossing you yours as he found them. When he was dressed, you finally stood from the bed, still naked, about to head into the bathroom for a shower.
âI gotta get going,â Rafe said, pulling his shoes back on. âBut Iâll see you soon.â
âYeah. I have to do my exam.â You watched him as he stood, his full 6â2â form towering over you.
âIâll text you,â he said, leaning forward and placing a kiss on your cheek. It felt intimate, and it made you blush. âGive Iris kisses for me when they get home. Let me know she gets back safe.â
âI will,â you promised him.
He gave you one last smile, and then he was gone. You heard the front door closing as you gathered up some clean clothes to change into after your shower.
When you got out of the shower, you smiled to yourself as you saw the missed text from Rafe. You opened it, and rolled your eyes as you read it, but you couldnât wipe the grin off your face anyway.
Rafey
Miss you already.

ahhh can I ask for a drabble for sunshine reader x Spence when they're out with the team at a bar or something and reader is obviously a clingy and giggly drunk?
MY BABY'S SWEET AS CAN BE | Spencer Reid x Sunshine!Reader
description: Spencer's girlfriend loves karaoke when she's drunk, but she loves him even more
length: 1k
warnings: literally just fluff
He smiled at her unabashedly as she flitted through the crowd, the top of her head bobbing in between other patrons as she shoved through the sea of bodies, and he heard the odd âExcuse me, oh Iâm so sorry, excuse me, Sorry-scuse me,â which let him know the mop of hair with two little bows in it was exactly who he thought it was.Â
Not that heâd need to try hard to find her, his eyes hadnât left her all evening. She had a tendency to get upset if they got parted when sheâd had a couple to drink, and he hated the look she got on her face when she welled up and felt sorry for herself.Â
She burst out the throng, her eyes quickly scanning across the group, and Emily barely had time to hand her a Frozen Daiquiri before sheâd launched herself where Spencer leaned against the bar.
âHoney! Oh, I missed you so much,â She said, immediately homing into his waist, her ear pressing against his chest where his heart beat particularly loudly, because whatever affectionate streak she carried on a day to day basis was dialled to one million when she got like this.Â
âBaby, I saw you five minutes ago,â He chuckled, wrapping an arm around her nevertheless and running his large, warm hand down her spine where her backless dress gave him free rein to feel everything.Â
She looked up at him with an aghast stare, âYou didnât miss me, too?âÂ
âOh, I never said that, now did I?â Spencer asked, his words sweetened with his smile, and adoration stained every single syllable like coffee over clean breath, âDid you have fun?âÂ
She giggled, leaning to steal a quick kiss, and her hand brushed over his stomach to pinch the soft pouch of fat gently, âI did! Did you see me, I totally outsang Luke,âÂ
âFor the last time; karaoke is not a contest, weâre supposed to be singing together,â Luke said, his forehead sweaty where heâd pushed through the crowd himself trying to keep up with her as sheâd bolted off the stage to get back to her spot tucked under Spencerâs arm.Â
She stuck her tongue out at him, rolling her eyes when he gave her a more obscene gesture, and turned back to where Spencer had yet to rip his eyes off her, his pupils dopey and wide and full of puppy love as she looked at him.Â
âHeâs just mad becaus he wanted to sing Beyonceâs part, and I made him be Shakira,â She said on chuckled breath, âBut I think our cover of Beautiful Liar could top charts, like, nationally,â
âOfcourse, I reckon you could go global if we got you a good agent,â He humoured her, and her eyes lit up with glee, bouncing on the balls of her feet to the point he almost spilled his beer. But he didnât care, he just loved seeing her so happy.Â
âReally! Really, really?â She asked, quickly stealing another adoring kiss from his lips like she could only go so long before she needed another one to fuel her words, like she didnât even realise she was doing it as there was little to no pause in her end of the conversation.Â
âWell, sure,â He said, his mouth interrupted when she pecked him again, and he wondered if she genuinely understood they couldn't kiss and talk at the same time with the way she was going, âBut, if my sweet girlfriend becomes a popstar sensation overnight, whoâs going to be there when I want to do this?â He said, wrapping an arm around her waist, his fingertips caressing the dip of her back, already knowing which moles sat beneath his touch and where, as he gave her a real kiss, one that made her squeak a little and the sound of it forced an even bigger smile out of him.Â
He parted from her reluctantly, and he didnât even care that he usually didnât like PDA all too much if it meant she would look so content and glowing, her eyes creasing as she sighed with a besotted expression. Spencer never thought he would get so lucky to have anyone look at him like that, never mind someone who he loved with his whole entire being, and everything else left of him.Â
âYou raise a good point, my genius love,â She said, pressing her burning face into his sternum, her hands still never leaving where theyâd buried into his waist, âI guess Iâll put my debut album on hold and stay to kiss you some more,âÂ
âWill you guys stop being so disgustingly sweet, itâs making my punch taste sour,â Penelope said, even though the team didnât seem to mind their soppy exchanges. Spencer sometimes seemed like his old self again when he was with her, something boyish and teasing and loving returning back to his rough hands and exhausted expression, and for that the two of them could rip each other's clothes off for all they cared.Â
Because they were one of those couples that made everyone else feel lucky to just see that kind of love so close, not envious or repellent, like finding a fawn sleeping on your doorstep. It was rare and pure and warmed everyone right through to their marrow.Â
The two of them smiled at one another, and she leaned in to steal a few more kisses from his lips that tasted faintly of beer, only for another song to start playing and she gasped, her mouth dropping in excitement.Â
âI love ABBA, we have to sing this song together!â She said, lacing her fingers with his and tugging his stubborn, lithe figure over to the stage, âPlease, Spencer, please, please, please,âÂ
And he gave her exactly what she wanted, because when could he ever say no to a face like that.Â

Getting Bold
Nana is going to help you gain some confidence...in her own way. Things start off slow and quickly boil over into some roughness. @i-am-lifeform24
Length 2.5K
Nana x Mreader
You clasped your hands together, turning your head and seeing the sneering faces of your bullies; they were laughing just around the corner. They knew about your crush on Nana and forced you to ask her out. You turn back to Nana; she tilts her head, wondering why you stopped her. âUm, Nana. IâŠâ You look down on the floor, nervous. Your hands become sweaty as you briefly raise your gaze to meet her eyes. âI like you. Do you want to go out on a date?â You blurt out, shifting your eyes downward again. All eyes in the hallway were on you, people whispering to each other about you daring to ask out Nana.
Nana smiles at you, seeing your shyness. âSure, can we go out tomorrow?â She asks, moving her hands behind her back as her smile grows. You look up at Nana, stunned that she accepted your date. You ask her to repeat herself, âI said, yeah. Does tomorrow work?âÂ
âYeah, that sounds good.âÂ
Nana reaches forward, grabbing your hand. âIâll plan things out. Just give me your number.â You scramble, looking for something to write your number on. You grab the first thing you can get, and itâs a marker. Then, you continue looking for something to write on. Nana waits patiently, checking her watch. âYou can write it on my arm; Iâll write it down later. I have a class soon.â You nod and scramble to write down your number on her arm. Nana giggles as she feels the fibers of the marker rub against her arm. âThat tickles.âÂ
After writing your number, Nana reads it aloud and confirms it before waving goodbye. As Nana leaves, you exhale, feeling the weight lift from your shoulders. You glance at your bullies before turning and walking away. A sense of relief washes over you as you hurry to your next class, happy itâs over for now. Nana looks at her arm, pulling out her phone as she rushes off to class and puts it in her contacts. After class, she washed off the number, ensuring her arm was clean.
The following day, you and Nana meet at a cozy cafe; she texted you all the details. She sits in front of you, sipping on her iced coffee. âI never expected you to ask me out. What came over you?â She asks, smiling softly.
âI-my bullies wanted to embarrass me by asking you out.â You say, wanting to be honest with her. Nana nods her head and taps your hand. Your eyes move to meet hers.
âThatâs okay. Donât think about that too much. Iâm glad you did. I think youâre cute.â Nana says boldly.
Your heart skips a beat, and you canât help but ask, âReally?âÂ
âYeah, but youâre always so shy and nervous.â Nana teases, leaning over the table to smack your shoulder. âYou need to be more confident.â
âThereâs not much to be confident about.âÂ
âThere is,â Nana replies as the two of you continue chatting, finding things in common. Your date was meant to last an hour at most, but by the time you left the cafe, it was the evening. As you walk out with Nana, she spins on her heel, turning to you. âI want to help you with your confidence.â She says, smiling. âThatâs what a girlfriend does.â
âGirlfriend?â
Nana gives you a defeated sigh, smiling as she does. âYeah, I want to go on more dates with you. Today was a lot of fun. Maybe next time we can do something more physical.â Nana raises her arms, stretching her body. âTalking with you was nice, but those chairs werenât comfortable.â You nod and smile at Nana. She takes a step closer, kissing your cheek. âIâll see you at school.âÂ
âYeah, Iâll see you there.â Nana waves to you as she heads home. You rub your cheek, still feeling her lips on it. You feel happy knowing that the two of you would have more dates. You take a deep breath and begin making your way home.
As Nana walks away, she thinks of ways to raise your confidence. She figures that with enough dates, you will become more confident. If that doesnât happen, Nana will find another way.Â
You and Nana go on more dates, becoming more comfortable with each other, but you are still shy and nervous. It was a few months now of seeing little improvement; Nana began thinking of things that would raise your confidence. While she loved you, she wanted to see you take charge. During school, Nana hangs out with you, eats lunch with you, and chats until your classes are separate, trying to bring you out of your shell. Walking by the women's bathroom, she overhears some chatter from inside the room. âIâm telling you, heâs so good. Fucking him is like nothing else.â As Nana continues walking, she considers sex as an option. Her thoughts build off this, thinking that losing your virginity would give you a much-needed confidence boost. It makes Nana nervous; sheâs only kissed your cheek after all your dates. It would be a big jump for the two of you. Nana did have more experience, but she didnât know how you would feel. Nana continued planning things out, deciding to do something she believed would boost your confidence.
She messaged you, inviting you to her home. The two of you walked together, staying silent for the most part. Nana was the first to speak, âHey, I, um, want to move to the next level.â She says, reaching for your hand. She takes it, gripping it tightly, âWeâve gone on a few dates, and Iâve really enjoyed my time with you.â
âSo you want to-â
âHave sex,â Nana finishes your sentence. You feel her grip tighten.
âNana, Iâm-âÂ
âI know,â She says, stopping in her tracks. âI know, and you know Iâve done it before. I want you to be more confident⊠for us.â You nod your head, uncertain how much sex would help you.Â
You continue on your way to Nanaâs home. She lets you in and has you wait in the living room while she goes to her bedroom. Nana takes a deep breath and strips off her clothing, heading into the connecting bathroom. There, she looks at herself in the mirror. She turns around, looking at her naked form, before heading back into the bedroom. She searches through her drawers, finding the marker she was looking for. She opens the door and pokes her head out. âYou can come in now.â She shouts, shutting the door and lying down on the bed.Â
You open the door, peering inside. Your eyes meet Nana, slowly moving down to take in her body. Nanaâs breathing quickens as you stare at her body; she feels embarrassed and moves her hands to cover herself. âDonât just stare. Come in.â You close the door and walk closer to Nana. Your cock begins to harden, struggling against its confines. Nana glances at your bulge but quickly moves her eyes back to yours. âIâm offering you everything tonight.â She says softly before handing you a marker. You give Nana a quizzical look, wondering what it was for. âI want you to write on my body. Iâm your girlfriend; Iâm all yours.â She says, a nervous smile on her face. She holds her breath, waiting for a response. âPlease say something; Iâm dying of embarrassment here.â She says with a chuckle.Â
âYouâre beautiful,â Those were the only words that stumbled from your mouth as you continued to scan her body.Â
âI shouldâve expected that,â Nana says quietly. She reaches forward, uncapping the marker and grabbing your hand, leading it to her stomach. âIâm all yours,â She repeats. âWrite it down.â You look into Nanaâs eyes, following her orders and writing your name on her. âFor your sole use.â You write it all down, pulling away to see it written on her formerly pristine body. You become more aroused at the thought of Nana being yours. She felt the same way, her cunt tingling as she sees your name written on her. She didnât expect this to turn her on, but she continues. Nana takes the marker from you, drawing an arrow toward her slit. Nana caps the marker, placing it beside her. She leans forward and pulls down your pants. The only thing blocking her from your cock was your underwear, and it similarly went away. âYouâre pretty big,â Nana said with a gulp. She reached for it, grasping it gently and running her hand along your shaft. You groan from the unusual pleasure; it was different than when you did it yourself.Â
Nana kisses your neck as you crawl over her, âKiss me.â You follow along, kissing her to the best of your ability. She giggles, âNot bad for your first time.â You moan into the kiss as Nanaâs hand continues to move along your cock; her grip tightens as her hand becomes covered in your precum. âDonât cum so soon,â She whispers, her palm rubbing against the tip.
You struggle to contain yourself, Nanaâs hand begins moving faster. Her skilled hand was bringing you to an early climax. Your hands move toward Nanaâs lower half, gripping her thigh as she puts her other arm around you. âIf youâre going to cum, at least do it inside me,â Nana says as she slows down. She aligns you with her entrance, pushing the tip against her folds. âPush in.â You grunt and go inside her, moving half your length inside. âAh, slowly, remember youâre pretty big.â You take your time moving the rest in.Â
Nanaâs walls are slippery but hold onto you tightly. You feel yourself about to cum, your cock throbbing inside her. Nana wraps her legs around your waist, her feet pushing you in deeper. You stare at her face. Nana shut her eyes, her lips forming an O as she moaned. Once you were buried inside her, you came, your cum filling her. You listen to her gasp. Nana feels the waves of cum pouring into her, and she bites her lip, enjoying the warmth of it. âThat feels so good, baby.â She says, kissing you. She cups your cheek, âWeâre a long way from done, okay?â You nod your head. âWhen you can start thrusting your hips. For now, just touch my body.âÂ
Your hands wander to Nanaâs modest breasts; theyâre the perfect size. You squeeze them gently, feeling her nipple harden against your palm. âThatâs it,â Nana moans. âClaim every part of me.â Nanaâs moans drive you to do more; you begin moving your hips. Dragging your cock out of her before ramming it back in. âOh shit,â Nana groans as she feels your cock impale her. You begin thrusting into her, her wall becoming tighter as you move your hands to her waist and strengthen your grip.Â
âY-youâre so tight,â you grunt, continuing to gain speed. Nanaâs moans slowly grow louder, and she clings to you. She bites her lip, feeling your cock move through her.Â
âHarder,â She whines, her legs growing tighter around you. You felt yourself nearing another orgasm, and Nana was reaching her first. She pressed her lips against yours, reveling in the pleasure she felt as you came inside her again. Your seed claiming her womb as she cums on your cock
Nanaâs legs flexed as she came, slowly relaxing as she milked your cock. They uncrossed and fell to your sides. You pull out slowly, your cum flowing out of her cunt. Your eyes slowly move up Nanaâs body, reaching her tired face.Â
âI want to go again,â you tell her. You were getting soft, though. Nana notices and turns her body over, reaching into her nightstand, where she pulls out a pill.Â
âI thought we might need this.â She says, popping the pill into her mouth before passing it to you via a kiss. You swallow the pill with zero problems, and in a few minutes, you're at full mast. Nana turns herself around, raising her ass to you and swaying it. You move your hands along her back, ready to take her again. Noticing the marker, you grab it and write on her body, making notes on her back and ass. Nana notices you begin taking charge, staying silent as she lets you do what you want. Having her body covered in your notes turns her on, and seeing that her plan is working makes her happy.Â
You toss the marker to the side and hold onto Nanaâs waist with one hand as you move the other between her folds. She helps you align your cock with her cunt, nudging you in the right direction without you noticing. You press against her entrance before ramming your length back inside. You give Nana little chance to get used to your size, beginning your thrusts immediately. As your bodies collide, you watch her body recoil against yours, her flesh jiggling as it presses against you. You raise your hand, slapping Nanaâs ass and listening to her her yelp.Â
Nana buries her head in her bed sheets, biting her lip as you fuck her. She was being pushed to the limit, enjoying how you became more aggressive and confident in your actions. She arches her back, letting you get in deeper. You reach forward, grab Nanaâs arms, and continue to thrust, her moans growing louder as she nears her climax. With her walls tightening around you, you speed up your thrusts. âIâm cumming, Nana,â You grunt, your cock throbbing inside her. Nana begs you to cum inside her, shouting for you to fill her pussy. You bury yourself inside her, flooding her cunt with your semen.Â
Nanaâs body twitches as she cums, her walls tightening and loosening around you as she milks your cock. Her eyes are half-lidded as her climax rocks her world. The two of you continue having sex into the night, Nanaâs body becoming a canvas for you as you write more crude things on her body. In the end, Nana can barely walk herself over to the bathroom. She turns on the light and shuts the door as you sleep in her bed. Looking in the mirror, she sees everything youâve written, every part of her you claimed as yours. She smiles to herself and rubs her sore folds, groaning with satisfaction. She turns on the water to her bath, scrubbing herself clean so she wouldnât have to do it in a rush tomorrow morning.Â
There was a clear difference in you; she could tell as much. Ou held her hand in the hallways as you walked her to her classes. You were generally more relaxed, kissing Nana on the cheek and a little spank before leaving her side at the door. Nana was surprised at your boldness but smiled; she loved the transformation. While there were still times that you were shy and nervous, they came less often. Your confidence had skyrocketed after the night with Nana; hearing her cries of pleasure and her calling your name gave you a significant boost. She was happy to see the change and saw that others were noticing it.

Never Really Over
a little bit of divorced!harry for your consideration
"I just wanna see him."
Y/n gave her ex a long look, not betraying the warring emotions swirling in her belly. Harry rarely showed up this late. He rarely showed up unannounced, for that matter. It made things easierâseeing him when she could prepare herself for the encounter. Now he was here on her doorstep, hair messy and eyes all pleading and sad.
"I just put him to bed, H," Y/n sighed. It wasn't that she didn't want to keep Harry from their son, but it was way too late, and it wasn't his week.
It had nothing to do with the fact that Y/n had been feeling particularly lonely lately and seeing her ex husband be all sweet with their son would make her think traitorous thoughts.
"I know, I know, I've just... I've had a long day, and I just want to see him. I won't even wake him up, I swear. I just want to sit with him."
Despite the divorce, Y/n still knew Harry struggled with the demise of their relationship, and she did too, even if she was the one who ultimately filed. They were five months in, but she felt like no time had passed at all. She floated between half expecting Harry to walk through the door like he used to and frustrated by the way their relationship turned so tumultuous by the end. It was all too complicated, which was why she preferred Harry's visits to be planned. It helped her to compartmentalize.
But she saw the look in his eyes and couldn't help but empathize with her ex-husband.
He looked tired and lost and maybe even at his wits end a little. She knew that look well, she recognized it every time she looked in the mirror on the days Harry had their son. She knew what it was like to have a bad day and want nothing more than to hold their little bub and let him wash away every bit of stress and frustration. Y/n did everything she could to not go completely out of her mind when it was Harry's week with their son, and she imagined that her ex felt similarly.
"Twenty minutes," she said, opening the door further and stepping to the side.
Harry's shoulders sagged with relief. He stepped toward Y/n as if he was going to hug her, then seemed to think better of it and went straight inside.
Y/n stayed downstairs while Harry went up, letting him have a private moment with their son. She cleaned up in the meantime, putting away stray toys and books and fluffing couch cushions and refolding blankets. Anything to not think of Harry with her son, or the soft look he always got when he gazed down at their little boy. It had always been her kryptonite, and she wasn't sure she'd gotten over it yet.
A little while later, Harry came back downstairs. Having organized and straightened up everything she possibly could, Y/n settled on the couch with the glass of wine she'd promised herself earlier that day. She'd wanted to have it in her bed with her book, but she settled for scrolling on her phone until her ex eventually left.
"Thank you," Harry said, his voice soft, careful not to wake the five year old upstairs. "You didn't have to do that, but I appreciate it."
"Don't worry about it," Y/n said, trying to appear like seeing him didn't have an effect on her the way it used to.
"Really, Y/n, I owe you."
"Let's not go and make promises you can't keep again," she muttered.
Y/n felt guilty as soon as she said it. They were having a civil moment, a rarity since the whirlwind of their divorce. She hadn't meant to pick at old wounds and make them bleed again. Her response was a reflex more than anything, one that she couldn't keep in check when she was tired.
"I'm not the one who filed for divorce, Y/n," Harry said, a dark cloud of emotion overtaking his face. "If anyone broke promises, it was you."
"Those vows were broken long before we got divorced, and you know it," Y/n said, that old fire that was more of a dull ember these days rising to the surface.
Harry and Y/n fell in love hard and fast, both loving each other fiercely and with everything cell in their body. Their relationship had been full of passion and intensity and so much love it was almost suffocating. But it also meant that they fought just as hard. Their arguments often blazed and burned bright, then fizzled out until they were in each other's arms again as if nothing had happened.
Until the arguments got bigger.
And longer.
And Y/n just couldn't take it anymore.
Y/n could tell that the anger simmering in Harry's eyes was more for show. She could see the sadness, perhaps even loneliness, in those lovely green eyes of his. And maybe her anger was a little more bravado than genuine hurt too. Maybe it was easier to slip into familiar habits and poke at old wounds than admit the truth.
She missed him.
"Don't make me the villain here. Youâ"
"I don't want to fight with you," she said before Harry could volley anything back. "I shouldn't have said what I said. I'm sorry. It's been a long day for me, and I'm assuming yours wasn't a walk in the park either."
Harry didn't say anything, or do anything, for a moment. Then, he let his head drop, his shoulders slumping a little. Feeling more than a little bad for kicking him while he was down, Y/n stood up from the couch and fetched another glass before pouring some wine in it for her ex. "Here," she said. "A peace offering. You look like you could use it."
With a laugh that held no humor in it, he took it and raised the glass to his mouth, and Y/n tried hard not to stare at his lips. Or the column of his throat as it bobbed when he took a sip. Orâ
"Is this one of mine?"
Y/n willed her cheeks not to flush. "I might've snagged a few bottles from your collection before we sold the house. Most of them went untouched anyways."
"They were aging," Harry said, a little of that humor and charm she fell in love with sparking in his eyes, the lines of his face. "You're supposed to let the bottles rest for a few years until they're at their peak, and then you drink them."
Y/n shrugged. "If you wait too long it goes bad and you miss out on a perfectly good bottle altogether, and then you do all that waiting for nothing."
She didn't mean anything by it, but both of them recognized the subtle truth in regards to their own relationship. Y/n wondered if they would ever be over this part. The stumbling through conversations and trying to avoid dangerous subjects that were littered between them like a minefield.
"Are you saying that's what happened with us?" Harry asked after taking another sip. "That I waited too long to appreciate what was right in front of me? What was perfect in every way the whole time?"
"I was talking about wine, not us."
"You've always been perfect in my eyes, Y/n," Harry said. "You and that perfect angel upstairs. Both of you are my entire world."
"Don't," Y/n said, taking a step back when she realized how close together they were.
"I miss you," Harry said, his voice hitching in his throat. "I miss waking up to our baby snuggled between us. I miss holding your hand while we watch him play at the park. I miss building pillow forts and playing pretend. I miss you, Y/n. I miss being loved by you. I hate that we're divorced. I hate that I signed those stupid papers and let you walk away."
Her throat suddenly felt dry, her heart pumping in her chest so hard she worried he might hear it. Blinking, Y/n tried to maintain the thread of composure holding her together. "You've had a long day. I can tell you need restâ"
"Don't patronize me," he said, stepping closer and closing the small distance between them once more. When Y/n didn't try to widen it again, Harry continued. "If you don't miss me, if you don't still feel what I feel, then say that. But if you do..."
Harry took Y/n's glass and set it down on the coffee table along with his own. He straightened up, one free hand lightly caressing your face, his thumb grazing across her cheek with a touch so delicate she barely felt it. It was agonizing. To have him right there, just the way she used to, and only get a phantom touch. It was maddening.
So maddening, that when he leaned in, Y/n didn't stop him.
She might have whimpered, and her knees might have slightly buckled, and she might have clutched her shirt between her fingers in a desperate, iron grip as Harry slid his mouth against hers, but she would deny it if he said anything about it later.
His kiss was all-consuming, he'd been a ghost in her new life for months, and suddenly he was everywhereâon her tongue, in her hands, against her chest. And she nearly forgot how explosive kissing him was. How it was almost like a dance that they'd mastered but were always learning new and exciting steps to. The softness of her ex's lips were as familiar as ever, but the stubble on his cheeks was new. She didn't recognize the shirt he wore, but she knew the body beneath it almost as well as her own. And his handsâ
"We can'tâWe're notâHarryâ"
Over the years, Y/n had grown used to the feeling of Harry's wedding band against her skin. When he held her hand, when he cupped her cheek, when he was spreading her open or landing a firm slap to her ass. It was familiar, a part of him that just seemed intrinsic after they got married.
But now, as she placed her hand over the one that held the side of her face as he kissed along her throat, it wasn't there. The band was gone, they weren't married anymore, and they certainly shouldn't be kissing like they still were.
"Just this once," Harry murmured, pressing the words along the curve of her jaw. "It's been so long, baby. I just want to feel you again. We can still be divorced after. Like last time."
Flames licked Y/n's core as she remembered the night in question. It had been the night the divorce had been finalized. Harry and Y/n signed and initialed every dotted line, the lawyers shook hands and left, then Harry and Y/n went their separate ways
Harry still insisted that her late-night message about a few of his possessions that got mixed in with her things was meant to have some kind of subtext, and Y/n would swear until she was blue in the face that her text was innocent, even if the activities that followed Harry coming over to "pick up" said items were anything but. It was a final goodbye. It was closing a chapter on a book neither of them ever really believed would end.
"Last time was supposed to be the last time," Y/n said, her voice shallow and not at all convincing.
"Tell me you don't want me right now," Harry said, his hand creeping beneath the waistband of her pajama pants. Y/n's mouth opened in a strangled gasp, too aroused and too in love with him still to push him away. "Tell me not to set you down on the kitchen counter and let me love on that pussy the way I used to. Tell me not to haul you upstairs and fuck you hard for breaking us up when we could've had this every. Single. Day."
Harry's last words were punctuated by the thrust of his fingers inside Y/n, each one making her curl around him tight. He lifted her into his arms and set her on the couch, the closest surface in the vicinity that wasn't hardwood flooring. His fingers still moving inside her, pumping slowly, he pressed a bruising kiss to her lips.
"Tell me not to love you anymore," he said, his teeth nipping at her bottom lip. "Tell me how to fall out of love with you. Tell me how to not dream of you. Tell me how to not want you anymore."
Y/n, who had succumbed to this moment, this lapse in...whatever it was, could only grip her ex's hair as he worked her over with his fingers, each word he spoke a balm to the loneliness these last months brought. She wasn't ready to start seeing someone else after the divorce, but now she worried no one would ever measure up to Harry. He ruined her for any other man who might try to sweep her off her feet in the future.
"Tell me, Y/n, and I'll let you come."
Y/n was a mess. She could hear it as Harry's fingers slid in and out of her quickly and harshly, then slowing down before she could finish. He used to do it all the time, knowing how worked up it made her, and now he knew nothing had changed.
"Iâ" she gasped. She was so close she could barely think straight. Harry's desperate words and the way his fingers curled inside her had her seeing stars. But if she knew her ex, he would stay there and edge her until she gave him what he wanted. "I don't know. I don't know how to make it stop. Please let me come."
Having thought she'd given him what he wanted, Y/n prepared herself for an earth-shattering orgasm. She surrendered herself to tonight, to him, even if she regretted it in the morning. Even if secretly she didn't, which would make her feel even worse.
But instead of pushing her over the edge, Harry removed his fingers from her altogether. The whine Y/n let out at the loss was perhaps a little undignified, but she couldn't think straight with the thick cloud of lust looming over her.
"Whâ"
"We're going to do this properly," he said, scooping her up into his arms and heading back upstairs, taking a left toward her bedroom. Their little angel boy was down the hall on the right side, but Y/n knew they still had to be quiet.
Once behind the closed door of her bedroom, they were both quick to shed each other of their clothes. Stitching ripped, a button or two flew, socks tossed carelessly to corners of the room they'd probably forget about later until there wasn't an ounce of fabric between them.
There wasn't time to stand and appreciate. This wasn't a romantic moment. It was desperate, a little angry, and intense in the way it always has been between them. Y/n kissed her ex-husband hard, her teeth sinking into his bottom lip and soothing the ache with her tongue until he eventually flipped her over onto her stomach.
"You can't be here by the time he wakes up tomorrow," Y/n managed to say. "I don't want to confuse him."
"I know," Harry said, lining himself up with her entrance. "But wouldn't it be so nice if I did?"
"Harryâ"
"Relax, baby, I'll abide by your rules," he said, his voice a soft caress. "Just let me have you tonight, and then I'll be gone."
Harry slid in with one smooth thrust, Y/n's mouth dropping open in response. She hadn't been stretched this way in months, and the feel of him inside her again as if nothing had changed...
"Fuck, Harry. I'mâI'm so close," she moaned, unable to say much more than that.
His movements were torturously slow, prolonging the climax he'd been teasing out of her on the couch. Then he leaned over her, his body pressing deliciously against hers.
"We may be separated, but you're still mine," he said, his words accented by his own pleasure. "These hips? Mine. Your tits? Mine. This little cunt? Well, she already knows. Absolutely drenching me. And tonight, I'm going to make sure you remember that."
Y/n could only whimper and wait to take whatever her ex-husband was willing to give her.
*.*
Y/n was having the best dream.
Sun streamed through the small crack in her bedroom curtains as she snuggled under the weight of the warmest, coziest blanket. She held onto it, wrapping it tighter around her, hoping to get a couple more minutes of sleep before her son eventually barged in and demanded they start their day.
She had a million things to do, but none of it seemed to matter while she slept. She felt relaxed in a way she hadn't in a long time.
Then the dream seemed to change. The cozy blanket became an arm draped over her, a leg tangled between her own, and a firm body pressed against her back. The unknown form wrapped around her began to kiss along her bare back, the arm tightening its grip around her waist. Her stomach flipped as a hand began to play with her breast.
She hadn't had one of those dreams in a long time, either.
Before the dream could go any further, Y/n regrettably began to feel the pinpricks of consciousness. But as she blinked her eyes open, she still felt that weight of another body next to hers, of someone other than herself occupying her bed.
It was then that last night made an appearance in her mind, recalling every dirty detail of how she'd given into her ex-husband.
"Good morning."
Harry's voice was low and gruff as if he'd only just woken up himself. The puffs of his breaths dusted over Y/n's skin and sent goosebumps all over. She didn't understand how her body, even while it was still waking up, was so responsive to him.
As casually as possible, she said, "You weren't supposed to stay over."
"Honestly, I don't even remember falling asleep," Harry admitted, though he made no move to leave her Y/n's bed.
"You have to go before he wakes up," she insisted, even if her body was completely against that idea. "He can't find you here. If he does, he'll have questions, andâ"
Before Y/n could even finish, she heard the soft patter of feet against soft carpet. Then her door creaked open, and the light of her life appeared.
"Daddy!"
Y/n rested her hands over her face, but not before seeing Harry's broad grin out of the corner of her eye, one that was nearly identical to the little boy at the foot of the bed.
"Hey, buddy," Harry said, his voice less husky than it was just moments ago. "What are you doing up so early, huh?"
"Why are you in bed with Mommy?" the boy asked, climbing into bed with his parents and wriggling around until he was snuggled between them.
Wasn't that the question, Y/n thought, though she was in no rush to help Harry.
"Mummy and Daddy decided to have a sleepover," Harry explained.
"Oh. Well, why didn't you invite me?"
"Because..." Y/n felt Harry's gaze on her, but she was not inclined to dig him out of this hole. Their night was over. It was a new day, which meant everything was back to the way it was before Harry came over last night. "Because I wanted to surprise you this morning. We're all going to spend the day together. Just the three of us."
"Yay!"
"What?"
Y/n glared over the top of her son's head as he half-hugged half-tackled Harry from sheer excitement. This was definitely not reverting back to their normal routine of co-parenting and seeing each other only when it was necessary. Harry, who looked thoroughly pleased with himself, slid out of bed with their boy still latched into him.
Thankfully, he was wearing underwear, but that didn't help Y/n much. She couldn't help but stare at his muscles flexing as he stood and stretched while he held their son. At all the tattoos that littered his body and the mess of curls on his head. He had no right to look this good in the morning, especially when Y/n knew for a fact that she always looked haggard no matter what when she first woke up.
Not that her appearance in front of her ex mattered to her.
"Come on, let's start with making your mum some breakfast. I'm thinking...waffles?"
"Do not make a mess of my kitchen, Harry," Y/n warned, not even bothering to protest the idea in its entirety. She wouldn't have been able to tell her son no even if he tried. Not with how excited he looked at the prospect of spending the day with his dad.
"We'll clean up after ourselves, I promise," Harry said with a wink in your direction. "You stay there and rest. I know you had a...long night."
Y/n threw a pillow at Harry's retreating form before flopping back into her bed. She had half a mind to strut right over to him and prove him wrong, but, well, the dull ache between her legs was starting to make itself known, and the damage of her son seeing Harry in her bed was already done. She might as well stay in bed and take the morning off if Harry was offering.
Sighing, Y/n ran a tired hand over her face as one realization after another made themselves known.
Everything about last night and this morning was messy and would no doubt bring about consequences and difficult conversations she wasn't inclined to have. There were questions she didn't want to ask or know the answer to, but one thing was abundantly clear:
She was well and truly fucked.

Kara stared between her feet, as if the hardwood floor between her socks had answers. She was wearing mismatched SpongeBob and Hello Kitty socks. The Hello Kitty ones were Christmas gifts from Lena. Lena had admitted she didnât know anything about Hello Kitty except that the design was cute, and Kara liked cute things. Kara treasured those socks as though they were a kingly gift.
There was a cold beer in her hand. She turned the bottle this way and that, wondering what the point was. She didnât like the taste. Alcohol wasnât strong enough to dull her emotions or make her laugh or cry the way it did for her humans. It just tasted mostly pretty bad. She took a drink anyway, doing what she always did: trying too hard to be something sheâd never be.
Alex had offered the beer and Kara had accepted, taking one from the six pack sheâd brought over. Alex was on her second, sitting back in her chair and nursing her beer.
âKara,â she said.
Kara gave her head a listless shake.
âIâm just not in the mood to cheer up.â
Alex took a pull of her beer. âMaybe it wasnât meant to be.â
âOur friendship meant something,â said Kara, the last word coming out strained, pushed past its breaking point but holding on.
âTo you,â Alex said. âIt meant another thing to her.â
âYou werenât there. You didnât hear what she said.â
âThereâs nothing she could say that would justify abusing you like that.â
Kara looked at her. Alex was clearly on a mission here- to get Karaâs head turned around right, to help her see the truth, and to help her process it and move on.
The bottle in her hand shattered.
âJesus!â Alex yelped.
Kara didnât want to process it. She didnât want to see Alexâs truth. She didnât want to fucking move on. She moved on too much. Her world died and she moved on. Her foster father died and she moved on. Her aunt tried to kill her and she moved on. Her boyfriend turned out to be a galactic conquered and she moved on. She got her back broken and her skull fractured and she moved on. She was beaten to death by a literal clone of herself and came to back to life, and she moved. On.
She didnât want to move on from Lena. She wanted her back. She wanted to be like it was.
She wantedâŠ
She wanted things she couldnât say, because she couldnât want them.
âShe said she killed her brother for me,â Kara choked out.
Alex frowned, eyes flicking between Karaâs face and the suds on the floor.
âYouâve got to see sheâs bad news.â
Kara shook her head and stood up, moving to grab a towel and clean up the mess. She plucked the shards of glass from the floor and soaked up the suds. Alex didnât offer another brew or take one. She just held the empty bottle in her hand.
âKara,â she finally said. âYou need to come to terms with this. I donât think youâre being healthy about how you feel about-â
âLena,â Kara gasped.
âYeah, I mean, the way you two have been behaving is more like a-â
Kara tuned her out. Lena was approaching, and her heart was racing. Kara heard the distinct sound of her footsteps as she ran up the stairs and down the hall to the loft and had the door open as Lena stumbled to a stop in front of it, wide-eyed and panicked.
âLuthor!â Alex snapped. âYouâve got some balls showing your face here. Give me one good reason not to arrest you. Now.â
âAlex,â Kara warned.
Lena was looking at her with a shocking blend of fear and relief, tears streaming freely down her cheeks.
âOh God,â said Lena. âOh thank God youâre alive.â
Alex started to speak but Kara put up a warning hand. She didnât move, standing fixed in the doorway as Lena stood there shaking, wrapped up in her coat like a drowned rat.
âLet me in, please let me in.â
âKara,â Alex warned.
âTake this!â Lena blurted.
A jolt of shock ran through Kara as Lena produced the Myriad module and thrust it at her in both hands, almost dropping it in the process. Kara had taken it before she realized what she was doing.
âTake it, take it, take the fucking thing! I donât want it anymore.â
Kara hit her lip. Lenaâs eyes were full of silent appeal, heavy with⊠knowledge, or something like it.
âWhy are you doing this?â
âYou wonât believe me,â Lena said, her voice trembling.
Kara flinched. Lenaâs heart was racing painfully, dangerously fast, and she was staring to hyperventilate. Instinct took over, and she pulled the other woman inside, gently tucking her into a firm hug.
âKara!â Alex snapped.
âAlex,â Kara said, firmly. âOut. Now.â
âBut you canât just let her back in!â
âTrust me, Alex.â
âFine, but Iâm not going far, and if I even think I smell a trap, Luthor, I swear, I will bring the wrath of God down on your head. I will destroy you.â
Lena said nothing, turning her face into Karaâs shoulder. Alex glared fury at her as she passed, and Kara pushed the door shut.
âLena, tell me what happened.â
It took Lena at least a minute to get her breathing under enough control to even talk.
âI was in my lab when this man appeared inside. That should be impossible. My lab is a fortress. Not even you could get in.â
âWait? What man?â
âHe looked like a funny little man with a bowler hat, but heâs not. Itâs some kind of illusion or trick. He told me some incomprehensible name and told me he was there on your behalf. His name was just gibberish, Mix-something.â
She was finally calming. Kara guided her to the couch and set Myriad on the table, sitting beside her. Lena stared at it.
âI know his name,â Kara said, coldly.
âDid you send him?â
âI wouldnât do that to you.â
âHe told me he was there to give me what I wanted, a life without you. Before I could say anything he just snapped his fingers, and I was on the helicopter, the day you saved me from Lexâs drones, but you werenât there. I screamed for help but you didnât come.â
Kara felt the sour taste of beer and vomit rising to the back of her throat.
âI remember the crash and it was real, it was like it was really happening and it hurt so much, and then I woke up and Lillian was there with her doctors and she was cutting. Cutting me up and carving me apart with scalpels and putting machinery in me and Kryptonite, she put Kryptonite in my chest!â
âEasy,â Kara said, âEasy, Lena. Take a breath.â
Red-faced and breathing too quickly, Lena ignored her. âThen you were there and I couldnât stop myself, it was burning you alive, like in the Fortress but worse and I couldnât stop, I couldnât even scream, and I felt this hate inside me, and I just wanted it to stop. Then I was back in my lab and he was there.â
âSo you came here?â
âNo! I told him that wasnât what I wanted. I told him I wanted a world without lies, without conflict or hate or deception. I told him what I wanted to do. I donât know why, it was like he was forcing the words out of me, and he told me fine, heâd give me what I wanted.â
Lena hugged herself, sinking back into the couch.
âIt was real, Kara. It all happened. I mean, it actually happened. I finished Non Nocere. I pacified the entire world, made everyone calm and peaceful and truthful. I lived this. For years.â
Kara swallowed. Mxy⊠could do that. He was that powerful. Kara has suspected as much. Heâd been toying with her before, like a cat tormenting a mouse. Her blood ran cold and she suppressed a shiver.
âOh my God. Youâre scared of this thing, arenât you?â
âLenaâŠâ
âYou should be. It got worse. It got worse, Kara. Non Nocere worked. The world became a place of peace. You came to me and you were furious, but I asked you, was it better the other way? Were you angry because of what I did or were you angry because I made a world that doesnât need superheroes?â
Kara swallowed. âLena, it wouldnât be right to control everyone like that. You canât just-â
âI know! I learned my goddamn lesson already, will you just listen to me?â
Kara took a deep breath.
âOkay. Iâm listening.â
âYou were the only one not affected. You stayed for a while, tried to reason with me, but then you left. You went back to Argo and rejoined the Kryptonian survivors.â
Lena went quiet, staring at nothing.
âLena? Lena, what is it?â
âI gave him the world on a silver platter. I just handed it over and I didnât even realize it. I wasnât fixing the world, I was ringing a dinner bell. He came.â
âMxy?â
âNo, Kara. Something worse. From the stars. He came in a ship⊠his ship was as big as the sky. They came from cracks in the air, these⊠these portals started belching out these things, demons, I donât know, and he came from the sky.â
âWho, Lena?â
Silence. Lena pulled her knees up and rocked in place, staring.
âLee?â
âDarkseid,â said Lena. âHe called himself Darkseid. He took Non Nocere from me. He used it. On everyone. On me, too. He made us worship⊠he made us love. He took something from my mind, from everyoneâs mind, some kind of weapon, and you came back. You came back to stop him.â
âOf course I would,â said Kara.
âHe made me watch. He said it was a gift for delivering him his prize. I saw you die.â
Karaâs stomach dropped. Tentatively, she reached for Lenaâs shoulder, found it and grasped it softly. Lena hid her face in her arms and began to whimper.
âThe things I saw. The things we were made to do. The things I was made to do. I canât. I canât get it out of my head.â
âIt wasnât real. Youâre safe. I promise.â
âIt was real. Then that Mixylwhatever came back and asked me if I wanted out. I almost said no, Kara! I almost said no!â
Kara closed her fists, arms wrapped around her self.
Great Rao, what happened to her?
I said yes and I was just⊠back in my lab. Like none of it happened. There with that thing in my hands. I did the only thing I could think of. I ran here.â
Lena is was still shaking.
Hushing her softly, Kara guided her to lie down on the couch, throwing a blanket over her. Lena shoved her face in the pillow and sobbed as Kara knelt beside her, trying to soothe her by stroking her back and sweeping the hair from her eyes.
âIt wasnât real.â
âIt felt real.â
âI wonât let it happen.â
âYou couldnât stop it. Not even you, not even you and Clark.â
Kara leaned closer and looked her in the eye.
âI wonât. Let. It. Happen.â
âYou promise?â
âI promise.â
Lena closed her eyes and let out a long sigh. Finally she seemed to calm, at least a little.
âListen to me, Lena. Please.â
She nodded.
âIâm sorry.â
âKara,â
âIâm sorry. I should have listened to you. I should have respected you. I should have let myself be vulnerable and let you in the way you did for me. I only thought about what I wanted and I let my fear control me. I will never do that again. I will never run off to Argo or wherever else as long as you need me. I will always protect you, Lena. Always.â
âI know, Kara. I saw it in your eyes when you⊠when he⊠your last word was my name.â
âRest, Lee. Iâm going to destroy Myriad. Iâm going to get Alex and and Brainy and Nia ans Jâonn and weâre going to figure this out.â
âOkay,â Lena choked out. âOkay.â
Kara knelt beside her until she finally fell asleep, then paced the loft for a while.
She turned to look at Lena as she slept and then it hit her. It was like suddenly becoming aware of a new color, a hue that shaded the whole world but had been previously invisible. It was just suddenly there, and she understood.
Kara was in love with her.
She would forgive Lena any trespass, and she would do anything to protect her.
She called Alex. Told her what happened, leaving out nothing Lena said. They decided, after their earlier interaction, that it would be best if Jâonn watched over her.
When he arrived, Kara went to the roof.
âMxyzptlk,â said Kara.
In a blink he was there.
âWell then,â he said. âYouâre welcome. Killed two birds with one stone, showing your Lena the error of her ways and-â
Kara didnât let him finish. When she slammed him into the brickwork, cracks spread from the impact and her eyes blazed with all the fury of her long lost sun.
âLeave her alone. If you ever go near her again, Iâll break every bone in your body. I donât care what I have to do. I donât care what I have to sacrifice. If Iâm not powerful enough now I will find a way.â
âYou canât do that.â
âWhen it comes to my Lena, I have no rules. Now get the fuck off my planet.â
She let him go and took a step back. He regarded her for a moment, looking rather pale for a fifth dimensional imp, and then vanished without another word.
Kara went back to Lena.

Lightning in a Bottle - Prologue
Summary:Â
Eira Archeron was neither a Valkyrie, nor a Seer, nor the High Lady of the Night Court. She was actually pretty much useless. The only thing she wanted was to be somebody's first choice for once in her life.
Also known as: Azriel's shadows decide that if he doesn't treat his mate right... they'll just do it for him.
Warnings:Â
Kinda Elain Bashing?, Low Self Esteem, Mention of Cauldron induced torture...
(super pretty dividers by @tsunami-of-tears)
As far as cauldron-made wentâŠEira Archeron was pretty much useless.Â
She had neither the power of Death nor of Divinity.Â
She was neither the prettiest one, that title belonged to ElainâŠnor the smartest one, which was undoubtedly Nesta. Or the strongest one like FeyreâŠAnd if she had tried to hunt like Feyre, it would have been more likely that she would have accidentally killed herself instead of bringing home any meat.Â
As a human, she had been limited to cooking and cleaning and laundry, all of it with limited supplies and even more limited experience. She had tried. It had never been enough.Â
So maybe it shouldnât have surprised her that her uselessness continued on even when she was no longer human.
So if she wasnât beautiful or strong or smartâŠwhat was she then?Â
The dumb one?Â
When the cauldron had burned every bit of humanity out of herâŠwhen it had ripped away all her hopes and dreamsâŠwhen it had been so angry with Nesta after whatever she had done to it that Eira was justâŠEira was just an afterthought, something it could hurt in response to her sisters and then leave gasping on that stone floor feeling like she was dyingâŠ
She had done her best to accept her lack of humanity afterwards. Nesta had ragedâŠElain had said nothing, suffering silently in the bedâŠand EiraâŠEira had tried.Â
Tried to make it betterâŠtried to make it easier for everybody around her. She had tried.Â
She hadnât wanted to put even more on Feyreâs shoulders, not with the threat of impending warâŠand so she had done her best to be supportive and make no troubleâŠbe agreeable and quiet and be helpfulâŠ
But she couldnât be helpful.Â
She was nothing but a useless appendage. With no powers, no great destiny stretched in front of herâŠ
Not even a limb. Not even a fucking pinky finger.Â
More like a skin tag.Â
Completely useless. If cut off, it wouldnât even bother anybody.Â
They had made that clear to her over time.Â
They had made clear what they thought about her, again and again, and nowâŠnow she finally realised it. She was a slow learnerâŠbut by the gods, she did learn.Â
It startedâŠslow in a sense. Comments, made offhandedly, that probably werenât meant that way anywayâŠsometimes said to her faceâŠsometimes overheard.Â
âStop your screeching, girl, I am getting a headache.â Amren. After she had finallyâŠafter months felt like singing again as she fixed the hem on one of her sisterâs dresses. She had stopped singing then.
Amren had never brought it up again. But then Amren had never been particularly nice to any of them. Â Â Â Â
âDonât come crying to me if she bites off your head. I warned you.â Rhysand had told her drily when she insisted on visiting Nesta at the House of Wind every week after all of that had gone downâŠÂ
âDonât you have anything better to do? Like make another ugly dress?â Seethingly said by NestaâŠpitted against the one thing she liked to pretend she was good atâŠthe one thing she could do and make money withâŠ
It cut. Of course, it did. But it wasnât even the worst thing thrown at her head by NestaâŠso why was it the one thing that stayed in her mind?Â
âWe donât need Eira. Quite frankly, itâs better if she doesnât go. Elain is the prettier one, anyway.â CassianâŠoverheard by Eira before the rest of them had gone off to Hewn City. Eira left behind becauseâŠwell the contrast of Elain badly dressed was enough, no need for Eira toâŠbe what? A distraction? Â
And it was true too. Elain was the prettier twin sister.Â
Eira was justâŠcommon as muck as her mother had liked to remind herâŠNesta was the smart one, the one who would marry a princeâŠElain would marry for love and beautyâŠand EiraâŠwell, she would make a good farmerâs wife as far as her mother was concerned.
Not pretty enough to garner a richer manâs attentionâŠnot smart enough to drag herself up the echelons of society on her ownâŠTo easily content as far as her mother was concerned.Â
âAs far as cauldron-made goes, she is pretty much useless.â Morrigan. Said in jest. Eira was quite sure of thatâŠstill, it had hurt. Because it was true. She was useless.Â
No magic sparking at her fingertipsâŠUsing her magic was like pulling teethâŠpainful and a long processâŠAnd it never did what she wanted anyway.Â
âEira, find somewhere else to be. I really have more important things to do,â Feyre had said with a sighâŠafter she had brought her sister cookies and teaâŠafter she had only tried to get Feyre to take a break from her work.Â
Eira hadnât tried that again either.Â
And then the one that clinched it:Â
âAt least I found two males in my life willing to marry me. The one you have your ridiculous puppy crush on is never even going to look at you!â
Said by ElainâŠby her twin sister. She was frozen in place, staring at Elain wide-eyed as her sister sneered at her.Â
That was the last drop into an already overflowing bucket.Â
Stress. Right? Just stress from wedding planning. Elain would have never said that usually.Â
She wouldnât haveâŠ
It was justâŠit was just stressâŠJust stress.Â
Elain didnât mean it like that.Â
Right?
Elain flounced offâŠher wedding binder in towâŠleaving Eira alone, sitting there, in the dining room, her chest aching.Â
Eira was in a trance as she carefully put all the plates into one tidy stackâŠas she was thankful that it had just been her and Elain, every other person in their family busy with their mates or something elseâŠFeyre and Rhysand gone with Baby Nyx for the eveningâŠNesta and Cassian off at the House of WindâŠwho knew what Mor and Amren were up toâŠ
Or even Azriel.Â
A sob threatened to take over, as she thought that name.Â
She walked up the stairsâŠto her roomâŠHer room. She locked the door with shaky hands.Â
âAt least I found two males in my life willing to marry me. The one you have your ridiculous puppy crush on is never even going to look at you!â
She collapsed on her bed, burying her face into her pillow and let the tears stream.Â
Ridiculous puppy crush.Â
All of that said because she had tried to talk to Elain about her choice of flowers for her wedding. Because lilies wouldnât be in season when she married Lucien in Day Court in less than 2 months.Â
And then Elain responded with that, because Eira clearly wanted to ruin her wedding with that factoid.Â
âAt least I found two males in my life willing to marry me. The one you have your ridiculous puppy crush on is never even going to look at you!â
The worst part of it was that it was the simple truth.Â
Azriel was never going to pay her a second glance.Â
He had always been more interested in Elain than EiraâŠhe had on more than one occasion asked Eira questions about her twin sisterâŠhad made sure that Elain was comfortable and cared forâŠand Eira had sufficed as a source of information and nothing else.Â
And after Elain and Lucien had become seriousâŠwell, Eira ceased to be interesting too. He hadnât sought her out again.Â
If she sat next to him at dinner, he was polite and quiet, bordering on silent. And then she tried to fill the silence and probably only annoyed him in the process.Â
He didnât want her. He never would.Â
She starved down the sobs that wracked her body.Â
It was probably high time that she accepted that, right?
High time to get over herself.Â
High time that she reminded herself thatâŠthat she was never going to have him and that staring at him in ill-hidden affection only made everybody else make fun of her and probably made him deeply uncomfortable.Â
So maybe it was better that she justâŠ
At least he had never called her useless, she supposed. It could be worseâŠeven when he never would want her.Â
She felt the touch on her hand firstâŠsoft like velvetâŠlike kitten furâŠnever warm, never cold. massive and somehow not⊠definitely not human.Â
The shadows. His shadows.Â
Sometimes they came to keep her company. At the start, she had thought that maybe he had sent them but nowadays she was quite sure that they had just liked her quiet singing while embroidery one afternoon. So quiet that nobody would hear. It had taken her months to coax them out of their corners after that. They probably had just taken pity on her.Â
Just like they did now.Â
âPlease donât,â she choked out. She never wanted him to find out how she was feeling about himâŠnever wanted to feel the pain of him outright turning her down.Â
And if his shadows came to check on her, they would report back in what they sawâŠand they didnât needâŠdidnât need to worry about it.Â
They never talked to her. Just sometimes they came and listened to her softly talk to them while she was sewing in the evening, about this and that...
It wasnât right how she talked to you, the shadows whispered.Â
They didnât talk to her. Never.Â
And now they did.Â
Hell, even his shadows were feeling sorry for her, werenât they?Â
âPlease donât tell him,â she begged.Â
He should know, they disagreed softly. Everybody should know. She should apologise to you.Â
And what would that give her? Nothing. More embarrassment because everybody else got to hear all about her fledgling little feelings? Feelings she should bury deep and never examine again?Â
âPlease,â she begged again and the shadows seemingly surrendered, curling themselves up against her hands so that she could touch them.Â
Donât cry, they soothed her softly. Donât give her that.Â
Elain hadnât said anything that was untrue. That was the worst part. It was true. And that hurt.ïżœïżœ
Is there anything we could do? the shadows asked Eira softly. Anything at all to make this better?Â
âNo,â she whispered, choking out the words, another sob. Not anymore. There was nothing anybody could do.Â
It hurt. It hurt so badly. Just like the cauldron had. Then she had wished she would die.Â
NowâŠnow she wondered the same once again. Maybe then it would stop feeling like this.Â
She cried her eyes out, as the tears kept pouring over her cheeksâŠas she sobbed until her throat was raw and everything hurt. And finally, she just laid thereâŠthe shadows still swirling worriedly around her prone form.Â
âDonât you need to work?â she asked the shadows listlessly, tears tracking over her cheeks. âDonât you have something more important to do than to try and comfort me?âÂ
Maybe take care of him?
You are important, the shadows snapped.Â
Eira could argue that point. She was useless. So what did it matter? It didnât.Â
She wiped away the tears, but new ones just came pouring over her face and she stopped trying, let them run down her face and wondered how long she could stay in her room and never come out again.Â
Would you like something to eat? the shadows tried again. So sweet. Trying to give her something, anything to comfort her.Â
âNo, thank you,â she whispered. Alone the thought made her want to throw up.Â
She didnât want to eat.Â
She didnât want to get up and talk to anybody. She didnât want to even look at another person anymore.Â
She didnâtâŠ
What would you like then? The shadows tried softly. Would you like to plot revenge? they suggested.Â
It was so stupid that she choked out a laugh.Â
âFor what? Elain saying what everybody else is thinking?â Eira asked, her heart painfully restricting.Â
Nobody here actually wanted her around. If she disappeared forever she would do them a favour. Him especially.Â
Elain had only said what everybody else was thinking.Â
All three of her sisters had found their mates, just not Eira. All three of her sisters had some kind of powerâŠjust not her. All three of them had found some kind of place for themselvesâŠand then there was her, living with her youngest sister, half seamstress, half nanny for her child, an unwanted appendage that was taken care of out of some feeling of duty and no other reason.
Elain had just voiced what she was thinking. The truth.Â
It had been the truth. Plain and simple. And Eira maybe didnât like to hear it but it didnâtâŠit didnât matter.Â
It was the truth.Â
Elain had two men willing to marry her and spend the rest of their lives with herâŠand nobody wanted to spend any time with Eira. A husband wasnât even something that had ever seemed to be a possibility.Â
Even if everybody else is thinking, that doesnât make it right. The shadows disagreed quietly. Your sister said that to hurt you and not for any other reason.Â
âSheâs stressed out with wedding planning,â Eira whispered.Â
It had just been that. Probably. Maybe.Â
That doesnât make it right, the shadows disagreed again, twirling tighter around her wrist. We could ruin her wedding. Lilies and all, they suggested brightly.Â
She shook her head. No. Elain should have the wedding she dreamed of. Eira wasnât going to ruin it for her.Â
âDonât do that,â she said weakly.
We could at least steal her wedding binder, they told her mulishly, and Eira wondered if they disagreed like that with Azriel too.
AzrielâŠ
What did it say about her that she fell head over heels in love with the first man who treated her with polite indifference? That she was so desperate to be loved that that was all it took?Â
Did it matter?Â
No.Â
Elaine was right. He would never spare her a second glance. He was just as unreachable as any other male.
Nothing was enticing about Eira. Neither her body, nor her mind, nor her magical power. What could she possibly offerany male?Â
All the nightmares she had on a near-daily basis? All the fear and anxiety that swirling around her gut every day?Â
She could sew on any buttons he lost along the way, she supposed. That was something.
The knife that plunged into her womb and twisted, took her by surprise.Â
It shouldnât have. Â
Of course. 6 months had passed once again.Â
âDonât tell him this either,â she begged in a whimper. This was too embarrassing. He didnât need to know about her cycle.Â
Nobody did. She was the most modest out of all her sisters. The one with the most human ideas of what was considered to be decent, leftâŠthe only one whoâŠ
The only one left with her maidenhead intact, because everybody else was mated or married or very much in love and it had never mattered in Prythian anyway.Â
Just Eira was left.Â
Without a mate. Without a husband.Â
Without ever having even been kissed. Nearly 26 and thatâŠhadnât happened for her.Â
It probably would never happen anyway.Â
Why today of all days?Â
Why did her cycle need to torture her today? How did she deserve this? Why not in a weekâŠThough at least now she had a reason not to leave her bed for a few days. Â
She could just stay here.Â
Mope in her own Misery and self-pityâŠwallow in the pain that she knew would comeâŠ
Of course, it would. She had always had a horrible time during her cycle even as a humanâŠas a Fae, it had become her very own personal torture.Â
Maybe a bath would make you feel better, the shadows suggested softly as she already curled herself together in pain.Â
She needed to get up and sort herself out before it got even worseâŠmade sure that she wouldnât get blood all over the sheets, but she couldnâtâŠShe didnât want to.Â
And a bathâŠA stab of pure fear. Â
âItâs like the cauldron,â Eira whimpered. Just like the cauldron.Â
She didnât batheâŠshe used buckets of waterâŠeven years laterâŠstill standing water was not something she could stand. Not without being reminded of her humanity being ripped away and traded for whatever this existence was.Â
What if we make sure that it isnât? the shadows asked her softly. It will be nothing like the cauldron, we promise.Â
A bathâŠa hot bath that would help against the soreness of her musclesâŠthat would maybe ease the crampsâŠ
It did sound nice. So nice.Â
So Eira just weakly nodded.Â
That seemed to be all the agreement the shadows needed as they whisked her to the bathing chamber, in the blink of an eye.
She watched as they flitted about the room, turning on the water, dotting candles around the room, making it brightly lit with faelight and candlelight both.Â
Lots of foam and bubbles appeared in the bathtub as well as numerous concoctions being poured into the water.Â
She slowly toed off her shoes and opened the laces of her dress. Eira hesitated and the shadows disappeared, letting her undress in privacyâŠletting her walk to the bathtub and test the temperatureâŠstare at it for a moment.Â
It couldnât look less like the cauldron if it tried.Â
She waited for a stab of fear but nothing came.Â
So she slid into it, let the warm water envelope her, the perfect temperature⊠A few tendrils of shadows came to keep her company, touching her chin so that she tipped her head back and they started to wash her hair for her.Â
Eira couldnât even remember the last time anybody had done that for her.Â
And they did thatâŠwithout even askingâŠjustâŠjust for her.Â
âThank you,â Eira whispered, not daring to close her eyes, but staring at the ceiling. âAre you sure you donât have anything more important to do?â she asked weakly. âIsnât your master going to be angry at you?â She didnât want them to get into any trouble, just because theyâŠthey were taking care of her.Â
You donât want Master to find out, so he wonât, they said easily. Would you like some pain potions?Â
If they gave them to her, she wouldnât need to walk downstairs and maybe face her sister or gods forbid, RhysandâŠand ask them for Madja.Â
Nobody would need to know. She could have her privacy and her dignity left intact.Â
âYes, please,â she breathed in relief as the shadows poured something or other over her head. One shadow brought her a vial, wrapping around her wrist as she uncorked and downed it.Â
A bitter taste but it left her blissedly numb and tired nearly immediately.
âWhatâs that?â She mumbled as they hushed her, massaging her head.
It tasted differently than whatever Madja usually gave herâŠtelling her that pain and discomfort were normal and that her potions would ease itâŠIt was like pouring a bucket of water over an inferno.Â
While thisâŠthis was quenching everything. Leaving her numb.Â
Just a rather strong pain potion, the shadows promised her. Youâll sleep for a bitâŠWeâll talk more then.
Sleep⊠Sleep sounded niceâŠ
She didnât even think about feeling self-conscious when they pulled her from the water, rinsed her off and wrapped her in warm, fluffy towels.Â
They laid out her favourite nightgown so she only needed to pull it on and pull back the sheets of her bed so she could slide beneath it.Â
Even a hot water bottle was waiting for herâŠ
Everything so that she would be as comfortable as possible⊠everything for her.
âThank you,â she whispered, tears pricking in her eyes as she climbed between her blankets, the shadows fluffing her pillow and pulling the blankets as high as they went.Â
It was weirdâŠto have the shadows doting on her, but she couldnât find it in herself to care. Eira was too selfish to protest this bit of attentionâŠthe only positive attention she had in years.Â
They promised not to tell, so she wouldnât either. Not when this was the sweetest thing anybody had ever done for her.Â
She fell asleep between one breath and the next, safely and warmly ensconced in her bed. Deep dreamless sleepâŠWhen she woke, it must have been the middle of the nightâŠand still, the shadows were there immediately.Â
She whimpered at the cramps that were ransacking her bodyâŠand the growling of her stomach in hunger.Â
She hated these cycles. Hated how weak they left her and how she wanted nothing more than to cease to exist.Â
Are you hungry? Youâll need to eat before you can take another pain potion, the shadows told her worriedly. Not a lot, just a little bit, they promised.Â
âI donât want to go down into the kitchen,â she answered weakly, biting her lip. Not that she thought that she could safely traverse the staircase anyway.Â
Eira just wanted to stay hereâŠalone. Maybe with the shadows for company, as long as they wanted herâŠ
Weâll get you something. What would you like? They assured her immediately.Â
Everything in her body ached for something human, even when she knew that their food would taste like ash for her. She always wanted human things. The things she would never have again. Â
âMaybe some soup?â Eira asked finally. âIf thatâs not too much trouble?âÂ
Of course not.Â
They fluffed her pillows and helped her sit upâŠand then soup appearedâŠa bowl filled with clear broth with bits of vegetables and chunks of chicken and noodlesâŠcooked to perfectionâŠbetter than anything she could have ever produced and by the gods, she had triedâŠAll of it, arranged on a tray, with two slices of perfect crusty bread and another pain potion.Â
She took that first, and it made her pleasantly numb and tiredâŠand so she weakly spooned as much soup as she could in her mouth afterwards⊠mopping up the last of her soup with the bread.Â
She finished as much as she could before she was too tired and the shadows tucked her back into bed, curled up on her sideâŠso they could fuss with her hair which was a mess as always.Â
She felt like a child being fawned over and she couldnât help but relax into itâŠlet them do with her whatever they wished if they just kept being soâŠnice to her.Â
Feeling better? they asked softly and she hummed.Â
If you could be anythingâŠdo anything... what would it be? The shadows wondered quietly. The movements of them were lulling her to some space of safety and warmth and Eira considered the question.Â
If she could have anything in the worldâŠwhat would she want?
A heady question.Â
âWhen I wasâŠyoung,â she said softly⊠âI wanted a dashing knight to come rescue me, and whisk me away from that horrible cottage,â she said weakly. âThatâs what I wanted since I was old enough to want anything.â
A stupid childrenâs dream.Â
But sadly there were no knights in Prythian and even if there were any, they wouldnât pick Eira.Â
And now? The shadows pushed.Â
âSomebody that loves me,â she admitted quietly. âA husbandâŠchildren.â
All of thatâŠshe wanted all of that.Â
And she was never going to have it.Â
We could find you a husband, the shadows finally said quietly. If that makes you happyâŠwe could help you.
âWho could possibly want me?â Eira asked, her voice breaking. Who would want her? The answer was easy:Â Nobody.Â
Only because Master is an idiot, doesnât mean every male is, they told her tartly.Â
She wanted to laugh but it ended in a sob.Â
âHe isnât an idiot,â Eira disagreed. âHe just knows thatâŠI am not good enough for him.â
Not pretty enough, not smart enoughâŠnot enough period.
Thatâs ridiculous, the shadows hissed.Â
It wasnât.Â
âHeâs in love with my prettier twin sister,â Eira snapped. âI shouldnât want him anyway. Why should I want to be his second or even third choice? Maybe for once, I want to be somebodyâs first choice! Maybe for once, I want to be treated like I matter! That my feelings matterâŠthat I matter!â It burst out of her. The tears burned in her eyes at that admission. AtâŠhow unfair it was.Â
What had she done to deserve this? What had she done?Â
Eira immediately regretted that outburst though. âI am so sorry,â she blurted out.
They didnât deserve to be pulled into her feeling unfairly treated. She should stop complaining. It wasnât going toâŠ
For what? the shadows snorted. You are absolutely right. You deserve to be somebodyâs first choice. You deserve to be treated like you matter.Â
She didnât.Â
Maybe you should go shopping, the shadows suggested with a sigh. The suggestion was so sudden that she stared at the tendril of shadow still wrapped around her wrist.Â
âWhy?â she asked with a sigh.Â
The Morrigan does that if she feels bad. The shadows told her earnestly. Then she buys shoes and feels better.Â
Ah.Â
She highly doubted that shoes were going to solve any of her problems. A pretty pair of shoes wasnât going to make anybody fall in love with her. Or want her.Â
âWhat am I supposed to buy?â She asked quietly. âJust shoes?â
Stuff. The shadows answered easily. Whatever you want. Whatever makes you happy, they assured her. All your sisters have more stuff than you. You make them dresses and other things. But you never make yourself anything, the shadows said quietly. Nobody would say anything if you wanted things that are yours.Â
Right. She had never bothered with that. Not after she had lost all her things together with her humanityâŠthere had been some piles of necessities sent to them by RhysandâŠand that had been that.Â
She had never bothered to get more than that. She still wore those dresses of the very first weeks⊠and while she had made dresses for all three of her sistersâŠas human out of necessity, as Fae out of habitâŠshe hadnât made herself any in years.
Not since becoming Fae. Her new body feltâŠshe hadnât wanted to look at her new body for long enough to figure out how something should fit onto it. How it had changedâŠ.
These godforsaken ears were enough.Â
Buy things for yourself. Like a new dress! Or earrings! Diamonds! The shadows suggested. Whatever you find pretty.Â
âMy ears arenât pierced,â she said quietly, a yawn taking over her face.Â
That brought them up short.
Master bought you pearl earrings, the shadows said suddenly, sounding perplexed.Â
He had. Beautiful. Impersonal. Unwearable for herâŠa far cry from all the little trinkets he had given to ElainâŠ
Still, for months she had stared at them and found them oh so beautifulâŠsafely kept in their box in her drawer at her vanity table.Â
Maybe that alone should have told her everything she needed to know about the state of Azrielâs affection for her.Â
Namely it was non-existent when the spymaster of the night court didnât even bother to check if she even wore earrings.Â
And the earringsâŠwellâŠthey were onlyâŠone thing. Her room at the River Estate that she had been supposed to furnish to her likingâŠthat was another.Â
In the end, it had consisted out of her getting a set of the same bedroom furniture as every other guest room and her walls were painted cream like in every other room Feyre hadnât gotten to yet. It was still as impersonal as it had been when she had moved in.Â
She knew that Elain had stuff to litter her bookcases withâŠgifts from Azriel or Feyre or Lucien, her mateâŠeven Eira had gifted her sister things.Â
But all Eira hadâŠwere the dresses she had on commission laid out on her desk. Which she would need to return to the shop where she worked as a seamstress at soon enough once she was finished with her alteration on themâŠand well, that was it.Â
No books, because her reading was absolutely atrociousâŠno little trinkets from any of her sistersâŠno paintings or art or anything really.Â
JustâŠher sewing and embroidery supplies and that was thatâŠand even these werenâtâŠheld in one of these pretty little wooden sewing boxes on legs that would keep them tidily kept awayâŠ
Do you need money? The shadows asked her seriously.Â
âWhat?â Eira asked weakly.
She made some money with her job. Not a lotâŠbut some. All of it carefully stashed away to buy birthday or solstice gifts fromâŠor little trinkets she saw in a shop and thought one of her sisters would likeâŠthat Nyx would like.Â
Do you need money? They repeated patiently. To buy stuff? For yourself?Â
âNo, I have money. And I donât want to owe anybody anything,â she answered quietly, her eyes slowly closing.
She didnât want to end like Nesta⊠were in the end, her habits were used to bludgeon her withâŠshe didnâtâŠ
You wouldnât. The shadows assured her. We have our own line of credit.Â
What?Â
âHow does that work? Do you have your own bank account?â she asked curiously, and she could nearly feel their amusement.Â
We like playing the lottery. Everything we win, we put into Masterâs Bank Account, they explained to her earnestly. He never uses it anyway. We could just put our winnings in yours instead. Master wouldnât care.
It was so ridiculous that she couldnât help but giggle.Â
âReally?â she still asked weakly.Â
Really! they assured her seriously. Enough for you to have a shopping spree! We like shiny things, they told her, making her laugh. Master never buys any. Weâll pick up some mail-order catalogues for you and then you can spend tomorrow ordering some things. Maybe some curtains to spruce things up a little. Itâs awfully empty in here.Â
Still, she couldnât help but ask.Â
âWhy are you doing this?âÂ
Nobody should be treated like you are, they told her fiercely. Nobody should feel like they have no place anywhere.

Bruce poured over the maps, searching for the random new streets that had appeared overnight. There were traces of them, but Bruce could have sworn they had been closed down or remodeled years ago.
Some buildings have been built over the old roads too, around the industrial revolution. The expeandtion of Gotham also meant that some places were removed or added on. They vanished. They were redundant.
Someone or something had made those roads reappear, and the many abandoned places had vanished or been fixed simultaneously. The question is, why?
Why were they doing this to his city?
It made no sense.
Was it a warning that they were powerful enough to remove entire structures with anyone the wiser? Bruce did not like it. He hated it. With so many of the buildings gone or fixed up, it seemed that the city was less cluttered.
He could see across the city now, and it caused hives to break out on his skin. If they were this powerful, what could they do to people? To his kids?
"Bruce, we got something," Tim hisses from his right. He had ordered everyone to go into lockdown within the cave. He doubts that anything in here will stop universal manipulation but it made him feel better to have his kids with him. "Their in Crime Alley."
Babs is running eyes on Gotham. She was biting her lower lip so hard blood had started to slowly drip down her chin. She had been in the manor when the first changes had begun. After calling her father in a panic- apparently, the police force work to the dirty copies just admitting they were corrupted in mass hysteria- she decdied to remain at the cave in order to use the panic room.
James wasn't sure what was going on, but he rather his daughter be behind the best security measures money could buy. He remained at the prescient, handling half his department turning themselves in.
He had always been professional but he admited to Babs that he felt a specail terror at the sight of his men's eyes going foggy then watcthing them one by one form a line to enter the cells.
Once they were behind the bars, they started talking, detailing who they work for and where the proof was for their arrest. James had at first thought it was something like a new form of Fear Gas but after three hours they confirmed it to be true.
The sky had turned blue by that point, and the cloud of pollution was long gone. She could do nothing for her father who was out there, facing whatever monster was cleaning up the city.
Bruce pats her arm, gently squeezing until she realizes what he wants. Her jaw relaxes, lifting her teeth from her flesh. He hands her an ointment to put on it without comment, and she uncurls her hand from over her mouse to take it.
Babs nods at him, face still filled with stress, but there is a softness in the corner of her eyes. For all that, she wasn't his daughter- even if for a while he truly believed she would be a daughter-in-law back when she and Dick were together- he adored her like his own.
He doesn't need words to know she's grateful for him reminding her to be kinder to herself.
Bruce turns his attention back to the screen, hissing through his teeth when he witnesses a start to glow gently in a familiar green color before the graffiti vanishes. It doesn't desolved or gets wiped away.
One moment, it's there, marking the territory of various gangs, random hooligans, and some genuine art, and the next, it's gone. As if though it never existed.
"Zoom in" He commands. With a few taps on her keys, Babs does just that. The camera is one of the city's older models, so the image isn't the clearest, but regardless, she clicks the record option anyway.
The glowing green surrounds the words, before one blink to the next, gone. Then to the alarm of all the watchers the brikes, reshape to new, expanding slightly and even having a finsihes repainting.
"No," Tim whispers in horror and loss. "Not the condemned fire station where I had to get my first tetanus shot. There were so many rusty pipes there."
Bruce reaches out, bringing his silent child into his arms as he feels his own tears welled up. "I feel through that roof my first night as Batman. It's alright Tim, we will avenge it."
Bruce gently pats Tim's hair, feeling his boy hide his face into his chest like a young child seeking comfort. He knows Babs is heartbroken too. That fire station was the place she used to go to with a sledgehammer whenever she had a fight with an ex-lover.
It was her comfort rage place. Bruce had even bought Bab's very first sledgehammer and had watched he break down her very first pillar back in her first few weeks of Batgirl.
All those memories. Gone.
"Shit," She gasps as the glow expands towards the camera and the resolution suddenly sharpens. It's clear enough to be the newest modles. "City secuirties have been compromised! Aborting systems"
All the screen go black and the Gotham natives can only sit in horrified silince.
"What more can they take from us?"
Alfred rubs the space between his eyes. He stands at the top of the stairway, watching the three's interactions after raiding the kitchen with food for the rest of the family.
The cave was equipped for months in a lockdown, but Alfred wanted to get everything non-preventive before sealing them in. The rest of the kids were behind him, helping grab supplies. "Hopefully, they'll aim for your stupidity next."

"Daniel Fenton, if you don't stop playing that silly game and come do your chores, you can forget about going out this summer!"
"But Mom, I'm this close to clearing out the legal system's corruption! Just thirty more minutes, please!"
"Now, young man!"
Danny pouts, staring at the screen that was shown casting Gotham City. He had removed the crooked cops and the brided lawyers, but the judges, prison wardens, and even some of the jail prisoners needed to be dealt with.
He had just purchased a better security camera and street post for the worst part of the city, hoping to earn some points from lowering crime there.
"I guess I can distribute some wealth to the working class from the Court of Owls in the meantime." He mutters, opening his citizens' profiles. He clicks on groups, wrinkling his nose at the Court's karma status. "Lawfully evil, prepare to be under the law again."
He presses the start time and leans back. Cracking his neck and hands, Danny lets the scenario run. He just has to do the dishes, clean the lab, and mow the lawn. That should be enough for the four hours on the wait time to finish. He hopes this will lower the general public's stress levels.
Gotham will be so happy when she sees her character's happiness ratings. Danny thinks with a smile. I could even add some tourism. That should really get the people's bank accounts growing!

arrival
alexia x r - mila verse :) the arrival of little baby mila. talk of pregnancy and giving birth, obviously.
You hated being pregnant. Some women, you knew, loved it. You were not one of those people. You felt humongous, everything hurt all the time, you felt sick most of the time, and more than anything, you just wanted to meet your baby girl. You were excited to give birth, if for no other reason than finally getting to be done being pregnant.Â
And it wasnât that you thought labor would be easy, not at all. You were just very sure you could handle it. If it meant getting your baby to you safely, you could do it.Â
You didnât consider that maybe your body wouldnât be able to do it, or that your baby wouldnât cooperate either. No, you naively thought you were past the stage where there could be complications. Labor would be difficult, you were sure, but it would be over and done after a couple of hours. You had nothing to worry about. That was what you thought.Â
-------
You were in the shower when your water broke, which was actually really lucky. No mess to clean up, and you could finish your shower before heading to the hospital.Â
âAle!â You shouted, turning the water off briefly to hear your wifeâs footsteps running down the hall towards you.Â
âAre you okay?â Alexia asked, bursting into the bathroom, looking around frantically.Â
You were completely calm when you responded, knowing that if you panicked, Alexia would panic. âIâm fine. My water broke. Iâm gonna finish washing my hair, can you get the bag ready? And bring me some clothes?â
âYour⊠you⊠it isâŠ. tiempo de bebe?â Alexia spluttered, looking shocked, as if you hadnât been pregnant for 9 months. Â
âYes, Ale, baby time.â You smiled, turning the water back on and continuing to rinse your hair out.Â
Alexia turned toward the door and then back to you at least 3 times before she seemed to get a handle on herself, taking a deep breath, and yanking the shower door back open.Â
âAmor, we need to go! Get out, get out, you cannot give birth here, it is not clean!â Â
You rolled your eyes, turning off the water and holding your hand out for your towel. Alexia misunderstood, grabbing your hand with both of hers, eyes wide.
âMy towel, babe.â Your wife nodded her head rapidly, grabbing your towel and carefully wrapping it around you. She was practically bouncing up and down as you took your time getting out of the shower and began to dry off. âAlexia. The bag. Clothes. Vamos, there is a person inside of me that wants to get out.âÂ
âSĂ, sĂ,â Alexia said, rushing out of the bathroom. Sheâd only made it a few feet before you heard a crash in the hall, one that sounded like sheâd tripped over her own feet. âEstoy bien!â She shouted, confirming that she had, in fact, tripped.Â
You shook your head, not sure whether to laugh or cry, knowing you needed to step in before her poor head exploded. She returned with clothes for you to pull on, watching anxiously as you did so, to ensure you didnât need help. Once you were dressed, she turned to go grab the hospital bag, but you stopped her before she could get very far.Â
âAle, ven aquĂ,â you called. Your wife turned back towards you, forehead wrinkling with worry as she walked back over to you, gently taking your hands in hers.Â
âAre you okay? Does it hurt? Should I call for an ambulance?â Â
âIâm fine. Breathe for a second, baby.â You told her, smiling sympathetically when she shook her head.
âAmor, we-âÂ
âNo, Alexia, you need to relax. Take a deep breath, please. Everything is fine. We have time. We have a plan. Weâre okay.â You reminded her, squeezing her hands as she dutifully closed her eyes and took a deep breath. When she opened them again, they were clearer, and she looked determined.Â
âI am going to get the bag. Do not move.â She instructed, pressing a quick kiss to your lips before she walked calmly from the room.Â
-------
You were decidedly less calm hours later, when you began to have contractions. Not the little ones that had started in the car, but contractions, ones that felt like you were being ripped open from the inside out. You were, to put it nicely, a huge baby. You wanted the epidural as soon as possible, but the doctors said you werenât far enough along, yet, and youâd have to wait so it didnât wear off too early. This made sense, in theory, but it was making less and less sense after 12 hours had passed, and nothing was looking any different. You laid in the hospital bed, hand gripping your wifes much too tightly, teeth gritted as another contraction ripped through you. Â
âYou are doing so good, mi amor, this one is almost over,â Alexia encouraged softly, trying not to flinch at the strength with which you were squeezing her hand. âI love you, I love you so much.âÂ
You knew seeing you in such pain was torture for Alexia, having to watch and know she could do nothing about it. You were losing your nerve, though, growing less and less calm and less and less sure that you could actually do this as every minute passed. And even in the middle of giving birth, you were hyper aware of your wife, not wanting to cause her any unnecessary anxiety or sadness.Â
âAle, can you go ask if I can have the epidural yet?â You asked after the contraction passed, deciding you just needed a few minutes alone to pull yourself together, shed a few tears, and give yourself a pep talk.Â
âIâll call the nurse,â Alexia agreed, reaching for the button. You stopped her though, grabbing her hand and attempting to throw her a convincing smile that you were sure looked more like a grimace.Â
âItâll be faster if you just go ask. Please, Ale.â You told her, watching as she looked between you and the door, clearly feeling unsure about leaving you. You had requested it, though, so she kissed your forehead, ignoring the fact that it was rather sweaty, and headed off in search of a nurse.Â
As the door shut behind her, you covered your face with your hand, letting a few choked sobs out in your wifeâs absence. It was absurd, to have her leave so you could cry, but you werenât quite sure you were capable of making rational decisions currently. You figured you had a couple minutes to calm down, knowing you could blame your tearstained face on a contraction when Alexia came back.Â
However, unbeknownst to you, Alexia had found a nurse just outside your room, relayed your request to be checked again, and turned around, rather pleased she hadnât had to go very far.
âThe nurse will be in so- mi amor, no,â Alexia walked back into the room, catching sight of your shaking form, and panicking. âWhat is it?â she asked, leaning over you and pulling your hand away from your face. âMi niña, por favor hablame.â Alexia was begging desperately, now. Â
Youâd been caught, and youâd definitely only made the situation worse by trying to hide your emotional outburst, because Alexia looked like she was about to find every doctor in the hospital and bring them all to you to find out what was wrong and what you needed.Â
âIâm okay, Iâm okay,â you reassured her, although it wasnât very effective as you grabbed a fistfull of her sweatshirt and tried to pull her closer.Â
âOkay, estoy aqui,â Alexia said soothingly, gesturing for you to scooch over in the bed so she could fit next to you. Once she was settled, you burrowed into her side, taking a few calming breaths. Your wife knew you very well, and had now realized that nothing was wrong with you or the baby, you were just feeling a bit overwhelmed. âYou can do this, mi amor, I know you can,â she encouraged, frowning sadly when she felt you shake your head against her.Â
âI canât, it hurts, I canât do it,â you sobbed, only feeling worse when you felt another contraction beginning.Â
âYou can. You are the strongest person I know. I am right here, we will do it together, vale? Just squeeze my hand, mi amor, I am right here with you.â Alexia promised, looking up at the monitor to see exactly why you were now tensing up so much.Â
You cursed loudly, this one being even more painful than the last, gripping Alexiaâs hand painfully tight. Your wife didnât even wince, she just kissed your temple, and whispered reassurances into your ear. âI know, I know it hurts. I am so proud of you. You are doing so well, so perfect for me.âÂ
The nurse came in, then, giving you a sympathetic smile. She checked to see how things were progressing, which was rather uncomfortable and invasive, though you were well past caring, focused instead on the way your wife was tracing a calming pattern over your cheek with one of her fingers.Â
âAmor, Barça is star-â
âFinish that sentence and youâll be leaving this hospital divorced.â You warned her, knowing she was just joking to distract you. She smiled sweetly at you, seeing her efforts worked, before she caught the nurses eye, and her face fell. You turned towards the nurse as well, seeing a rather concerned look on her face, which was never a good thing.Â
âStill no progress,â she frowned. You felt Alexia take a steadying breath next to you, grabbing your hand once again.Â
âWhat does that mean?â She asked.Â
âWell, we really should be seeing some more progress at this point, especially as the contractions are worsening. It seems your baby girl is a little reluctant to come out today,â the nurse said, trying to ease the tension in the room. âIâll grab your doctor. Itâs possible weâll start talking about a c section, as it has already been 12 hours with very little progress made, but that is up to your doctor.âÂ
With that, she left the room, and you turned to Alexia with a look of horror on your face. This hadnât been the plan, this had never been the plan. Your wife was quick to sense your distress, pressing her forehead to yours, and pulling your hand to rest on her chest.Â
âWe are okay. They do these everyday, and you and Mila will be completely safe. I know it is not the plan, but everything is okay, mi amor. I have you, I will not let anything happen to either of you.â She whispered, pressing her lips to yours rather urgently.Â
Her words calmed you, however ridiculous that was. Alexia had no control over anything happening to you or the baby, not really. She couldnât do anything if something went wrong, but her promise to keep both of you safe made you feel better regardless. Alexia had never let you down before, and you didnât see her doing so in the future.Â
Alexia remained calm, a pillar of strength, while you tried to do so as well. Even when the doctor came in and confirmed that c section would be in the babyâs best interest, as well as yours, you stayed calm, holding on to your wife like your life depended on it.Â
-------
They were preparing you for the epidural when it happened. The monitor that reflected the babyâs heart rate began to beep loudly, and everyone around you seemed to lose their minds at once.Â
Your doctor addressed you and Alexia both when she spoke, her voice firm but reassuring. âWe need to go, right now. We donât have time for the epidural, we will put you under general when we get in there. Unfortunately, Ms. Putellas, you cannot be in the room.âÂ
Alexia felt like she was being torn in half, but she knew she had to keep it together, at least until you were out of sight. She nodded, acting more confident and calm than she was, leaning down to leave a soft kiss on your lips.Â
âAle,â you choked out, your voice choked with fear.Â
âAll okay, mi amor. BebĂ© will be here before you know it. I love you, so so much cariño. I will see you soon, vale?âÂ
âTe amo,â you whispered back, pulling her back into as tight of a hug as you could manage, before your bed was being wheeled from the room.Â
The doctor hung back a moment, addressing your wife as you were brought down to the operating room. âThis is routine, Ms. Putellas. We will take good care of your wife, and your baby. Both of them will be brought back to this room as soon as they are ready, so you can wait here. I will have someone bring you updates.âÂ
âThank you,â Alexia mumbled, trying her best to return the doctorâs smile, as if her entire reason for living hadnât just left the room without her.Â
-------
They put you out almost immediately upon arriving at the operating room, putting the mask over your face and having you countdown backwards from 10. Before you hit 8, you were out, the room fading from your vision, the only thought you could manage being a deep, desperate wish for your baby to be okay.
-------
The hospital had strict rules about visitors, something neither you nor Alexia had really minded when choosing where you were going to have the baby. Now, though, as Alexia waited in the hospital room, minutes away from becoming a mom, all she wanted was her own mom.Â
Pulling out her phone, she clicked her motherâs contact, the line only ringing once before it was picked up.Â
âDo I have a granddaughter yet?â Eli asked excitedly.Â
âMami,â Alexia cried, unable to keep it in any longer.Â
âAle, what is it?â Eli asked urgently, knowing instantly from her daughterâs voice that something was wrong.Â
âThe babyâs heart rate dropped and they took them both back for a c-section. I canât go back because they didnât have time to do the epidural, and they had to put her under,â Alexia sobbed.Â
âOh, mija, everything is going to be alright. They do c sections all the time. Both of them will be just fine.â Eli soothed, shutting her eyes at the pain spiking in her chest at the sound of her daughterâs pained sobs.Â
Alexia let her mami calm her down before she hung up with a promise to keep her updated. The next hour and a half passed excruciatingly slowly, though the doctor kept her promise, and Alexia was given frequent updates.
She was told when the baby was born, and the joy she felt at the news that Mila was completely healthy, completely safe, fully overshadowed any sadness she felt that she didnât get to see it. After that update, Alexia took to pacing the room, knowing her baby would be on her way to meet her very soon.Â
Alexia heard Mila before she saw her, somehow instantly knowing that the soft cry that echoed in the halls was hers. 2 nurses wheeled in the little crib in which Mila was laid, wrapped in a soft yellow blanket, a little pink hat pulled over her head. She was crying, the noise a bit earsplitting, her little limbs kicking out as she tried to convey her dismay.Â
Alexia had worried, through the whole pregnancy, that she would have a hard time connecting with the baby because she didnât carry it. All of those worries flew right out the window, though, the minute she laid her eyes on her baby girl.Â
âHola mi princesa,â Alexia whispered, completely blind to the smiles on the nurses faces, or the fact that they were taking a video for you. Alexia reached down, very carefully taking the infant into her arms. Mila stopped crying right away, letting out a small sigh as her eyes fell shut, and she dozed right off in her Mamiâs arms. There were tears in Alexiaâs eyes, and she wasnât sure sheâd ever been this happy in her entire life. Still, though, she thought of you.Â
âMy wife?â She asked the nurse, tearing her eyes away from her baby for just a moment.Â
âSheâs doing great. Theyâre stitching her up now, and she should be out shortly.âÂ
Alexia thanked the nurse, starting to subconsciously rock on her feet to keep the baby asleep, the nurses once again forgotten, as she took in her babyâs perfect face. âDid you hear that Mila? Your other Mama will be here soon.âÂ
Your wife kept up a running dialogue, saying more at once than sheâd potentially ever said in her life, as she waited for you. She texted her family, telling them the good news, before putting her phone down to focus all of her attention on Mila, who she was very sure was the most perfect person on the planet. Aside from you.Â
------
When you awoke, it was to a rather odd sound. Maybe not odd, but mostly unfamiliar. Alexiaâs soft voice filled the room, talking so gently and quietly, that you could barely identify it as belonging to her.
âSĂ, and she loves you so much, mi princesa. You are so perfect, Milabear, so so perfect. Just like your Mama.â Alexia cooed, and you were close to tears before you even opened your eyes. When you did, you were greeted with the very beautiful sight of your wife, holding your baby, sitting gently on the edge of the bed. Alexiaâs face was bright, thrilled, and she was holding Mila close to her body, her shirt long discarded.Â
Alexia glanced up at you, as if she had been doing so every couple seconds, her eyes lighting up even more when she saw that you were awake.Â
âMi amor!â She said excitedly, âMila, mira, es Mama,â she told the infant, holding the baby up a little bit so you could see her.Â
âSheâs okay?â You croaked out, throat raw from being intubated.Â
âSheâs the most perfect baby on earth. Do you want to hold her?â Alexia beamed, moving closer and holding Mila out towards you. She could see the brief panic in your eyes, not sure if you were allowed to hold the baby at the moment, if sheâd want to be held by you, as she looked so comfortable in Aleâs arms. âItâs okay, you can hold her, the doctor told me.â Alexia assured you. âHere, amor,â she gently pulled the loose gown away from your body, exposing your chest, before carefully laying Mila down on top of you. Milaâs cheek was pressed to your collarbone, and you could feel her soft exhales on your skin.Â
âHi, my baby,â you whispered, pressing your lips to her forehead as lightly as you could. âOh, you are so beautiful.âÂ
You heard a sniff from next to you, and turned to see Alexia watching with tears streaming down her face. This, in turn, made you cry, until Alexia was leaning over you, forehead pressed to yours, Mila perched perfectly in between the two of you.Â
âThank you, mi amor, thank you. Sheâs so perfect, and you kept her so safe and healthy. Sheâs so perfect because sheâs yours, mi niña, and I love you.â She whispered, pressing repeated kisses onto your lips.Â
âAle,â you whispered back, guiding her face away so you could wipe a few tears off her face. âSheâs perfect because sheâs yours, Ale. And because you took such good care of me.âÂ
Alexia simply shook her head, resting a hand on Milaâs back, gazing at you so lovingly, it almost made you cry again. âYou did it, and I am so proud of you.â She told you.Â
It was your turn to shake your head, pulling her closer until you could kiss her, this time. When you broke apart, you looked down at Mila, sleeping peacefully on your chest. She was Alexiaâs technically, even though you carried her, and it was so clear to you. You could see Alexia everywhere in her tiny little face. Most of all, you felt it in how much you loved her. âShe is the most beautiful girl in the world, like her Mami,â you said, echoing Alexiaâs words from earlier. You werenât sure youâd ever be able to stop looking at Mila. And when you did, it would be to look at Alexia looking at Mila, wearing the same look of pure adoration that you were sure was on your face, too.Â
In that moment, everything was perfect. Mila was perfect, and Alexia was perfect, and you had an unknown amount of stitches in your abdomen, and you couldnât quite move your legs yet, but you were perfect too. The three of you, together? Youâd always be perfect.Â

Chapter 3- The Reveal
Unravelling Max's Mystery (Max Verstappen x Online Friend!Reader)
Series Masterlist
Summary- Y/N gets rejected for the sixth time. Max win's the Monaco grand prix 2023. Y/N decides she needs time for herself.
No hate to anyone, it's for the story
{Reader's POV}
I fell asleep crying, a faint buzzing from my phone was heard from the other room. I woke up after a few hours at 3 am when I found my phone which was burning up. The messages hadn't stop coming. They had gotten quite frantic as I scrolled through my notifications. I decided to reply to Max's messages.
He was still the guy I liked, I couldn't not reply. But I was hurt and in no shape to be talking to him. I don't know what Max said after my message because my phone shut down. I pushed myself to clean myself up and my surrounding. I was a stress cleaner and I'm so grateful to having 2 jobs right now. It meant my mind would be preoccupied. I cleaned my whole house before leaving for school in the morning. My eyes were red and puffy; I was on coffee. I had yet to switch my phone on. I wasn't ready to face Max yet.
Today was the worst day, not only because of last night's revelation but I had the least amount of classes today. None of the kids needed help after class either. That meant I was left to my own devices. When I switched the phone on, I could see missed calls and texts from Max and a couple voice messages; from the night before and today morning I guess. I opened up Google to check his schedule; he was in Monaco, which was also his home currently. I found out a lot about him, you think you know someone but then Google tells you otherwise. His dad was as shitty as he described. His records and feats were astonishing and if I wasn't this angry at him for hiding it from me, I would've been so proud and told him so. His Instagram feed was pretty and polished and he posted so much racing content. I found his streaming account with a team, he was exactly like the Max that called me everyday with occasional appearances from the cats on stream. People spoke so rudely about Max, it angered me to no end. He was a kind man, a liar but a sweet man.
The real kicker was Max's girlfriend's account where I found so many pictures of them together with her daughter, from what I found out. He looked happy, he had a family like he always said he wanted. I couldn't help but smile bitterly, a part of me wished that it was me who was the woman beside him with our kid. Life is cruel in some ways, mine is satire at best. Here, I can't date a man because I'm hung up on a guy I've never met before while said man has a family. I felt tears streaming down my face which I quickly wiped them off. I had enough of pity and sympathy stares since the morning to last a lifetime, I can't deal with any more of them.
I knew I wanted to talk to Max, the only guy who has ever understood me, however, I also knew that if we spoke I wouldn't be listening to him. I was scared I would lose the one true friend I have. Would Max understand where I was coming from? Why did he hide this from me? Did he not trust me enough? I get it, but you are a public figure. I don't know how to feel about all of this. It was the weekend tomorrow. I would be left with my thoughts and I probably shouldn't confront Max before his race on Sunday, right?
I spent the next two days planning how I would talk to Max. How I would ask him why he hid everything from me? I didn't want to fight him; my parents always said I was rude and difficult to work with, that my anger consumed me, that my words were harsh. I wasn't supposed to show such negative emotions they said. I didn't want to lose him; but was I allowed to hold on to him when he never let me have him?
Max called and texted me every day but I was very scared, scared of becoming the monster my parents said I was, sacred of hurting the one I love. There I said it, said Max and love in the same sentence. I had threaded that line so carefully but after all of this, I realised that I've loved him for years and watching him be happy with some else hurt as much as knowing that I never truly knew Max. It was Sunday night, I checked the news and saw that Max won. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to rejoice watching the man I love win at what he was best at or be hurt watching him live a life I knew nothing about.
I texted him at night on Sunday, maybe he would be busy celebrating his win, I didn't know. I didn't know a lot of things. As I waited for the text back, I logged on to my emails that I had forgotten about to find a reply from the publication I had sent my work to; to be met with dismay. Another rejection, I'm not sure how many more rejections I could take. My hands shook, making the laptop fall from my lap onto the bed. I got up and got myself a glass of water.
I laid on my bed for god knows how long before the familiar ring of my phone pulled me out of my trance. I had taken the day off tomorrow. I knew I didn't have the mental or emotional capacity to deal with anything. I answered the call to a worried Max.
Max- Schat, how have you been? Haven't heard a word from you in days. Y/N- I've been busy, school year ending and stuff. Why didn't you sleep yet? Max- You know my sleep schedule is non existent. Y/N- Yeah, I guess I do. Max looked at me confused. Y/N- You know how I do freelance editing Max- You've told me about it Y/N- The latest author I'm working with is a sports author. I was hoping you could help me since you are a walking encycylopedia. Max- sure schat, but what's up with you? You know I'm always there for you Y/N- Yeah it nothing, just stressed. Max- Take off, you deserve it Y/N- The summer break is here soon, I'll be fine. So about that author... Max-Yeah, what sport does she write for? Y/N- Formula One. I don't really like reading lengthy articles and I'm sure one article wouldn't do a sport any justice. I could see the colour leave Max's face. He licked his lips before speaking. Max- You did not go through google yet, right? Y/N- Oh no, what do you take me for? I got excited to learn about something new. Do you know who the reigning champion is? Max was quite, a sort of uncomfortable silence had enveloped us, for the first time in 10 years. Y/N- Some dude named Max Verstappen. You guys share the same first name. He has 2 cats too; named Jimmy and Sassy, who look exactly like your bengals. I mean he even looks like you, with horrible sleep schedule just like you. He even sounds like you. I felt my voice begin to crack while I spoke, the lump in my throat unbearably big, my breathing was uneven. Max- Schatje, I can explain. Y/N- You don't have to Max. I never asked you what you did. You don't have to explain anything. (I smiled with only my lips) Max- I wanted to tell you, it just never came up in conversation. Y/N- I get it, it's difficult to tell your friend who has amounted to nothing that you are the World Driver's Champion, best of the best in Formula One. Max- Y/N, it's nothing like that. You're great, you're kind, you're funny. I laughed bitterly. Y/N- Those are character traits I possess, they don't describe my career goals or achievements. I know I work 2 jobs to stay afloat while you make millions, I know I wish I was an author and not their editor, I know you probably thought I was too stupid to understand your rich and fancy world. Max- No, no, you're so talented. I've read your work and I'm sure the right publication will pick your work up. Y/N- I got rejected for the sixth time today. All of this is fine except that you lied to me about being single while having a girlfriend for years and having the happy family you dreamt off. You didn't have to introduce me to her; not like my boyfriends met you. But it would've been nice if I knew. Max- It just never came up. Y/N- I...we joked about setting you up with someone all the time. Please don't. I get it, we didn't tell each other about work goals or what we did as a job but personal life; I literally told you about every guy I've ever been with. I felt bad telling you thinking you were single. I feel stupid right now. I had tears streaming down my face at this point. Max- I'm sorry,Y/N. I promise I won't hide anything anymore. Please, don't cry. Y/N- My name is Y/N Y/L/N. I majored in literature in Uni and now work as a primary school teacher and freelance editor. I'm trying to get my book published soon. I broke up with my boyfriend 2 months ago. Max- Please don't do this. Y/N- I believe at least one of us should be honest. Max- Let me fix this. Y/N- Don't worry. There's nothing to fix. (I wiped away my tears) Max- Please don't say that. You mean a lot me. Y/N- Me too. That's why, I need time. I'll talk to you when I'm ready. Max- Please, I can't lose you. Y/N- You won't. I'll always be there for you. I just need time. Take care Max I saw tears streaming down Max's face. Max- Bye, take care Y/N. I'll always be here. And then the screen went black.
[Max spent the whole week worrying about Y/N. He couldn't think straight. This was weird, she was never this busy before. It was stressing him out, he couldn't eat or sleep. He never even thought about the fact that maybe his lie had been exposed. When Y/N texted him, he was at a club in Monaco with the other drivers to celebrate his win. He only saw it after he got back home and immediately called her. She looked different, there was this sadness in her eyes. The smile didn't reach her eyes. And then she started talking, his heart was beating very fast. The moment she said Formula One, his whole world came crashing down. The more she spoke the more he felt like he was falling deeper, in a pit of his own making. He wanted to tell her, he wanted to explain himself but no words left his mouth. Then she started talking about his girlfriend. He felt like this was the last time he would get to talk to her, the last time he would hear her voice. This felt like the last time he would have her]

Torn IV
Kewis x Child!Reader
Summary: You zone out sometimes
It was Kristie's fault.
Or, really, Kristie was blaming herself.
Time off from football meant spending time with family which has now transformed into wedding planning.
Wedding planning with Sam was a bit like getting blood from a stone. Sam didn't really care about colour pallets and flower types and patterned tablecloths.
Kristie had to practically hold her hostage every time they sat down to plan and, with all her focus on keeping Sam in one place, you'd kind of slipped through the gaps.
You'd always been an independent player and you'd never had any problem asking for attention when you wanted it but it was up to Kristie and Sam to notice when things went downhill health wise for you.
It was one of the odd days that Sam was out, having another check up on her knee and Kristie was the only one at home with you.
You're playing by her feet, making a series of growls and chirps for your dinosaurs. Helen sits on the table in front of you, absentmindedly cleaning herself.
You go silent suddenly and Kristie leans forward to see why.
You've frozen in place though, staring straight at Helen like you can't even comprehend she's there.
"Chook?" Kristie calls," What is it?"
You don't answer.
"Chook? Chook!"
It can't be more than fifteen seconds before you snap out of it, almost immediately going back to playing with your toys.
Helen mews at you softly and you look up at her in confusion as she wanders over to butt her head against your hand.
"You want to play too, Helen?"
"Chook?"
"Yes, Mommy?"
"Why did you stare at Helen like that?"
You frown, turning to look at Kristie. "No I didn't."
"Chook." Kristie's voice goes firm. "Don't lie."
"I'm not!"
"Chook, I'm not trying to tell you off. I was just curious."
"But I wasn't, Mommy!"
"Chook-"
"I didn't! I didn't!!"
"Chook-"
You get up and run off to your room, slamming it closed with a thump and Kristie sighs deeply at your behaviour.
She pushes the thoughts away though, forgetting about them and not mentioning them at all to Sam. It was just a little thing. It hardly mattered, not when getting Sam to finally decide on the menu for the wedding was more important.
But it's still there in the back of her mind. Somewhere very deep in the very back of her mind because she finds her watching you zone out every so often.
She times it, almost always around fifteen seconds. You zone out randomly, sometimes you blink, sometimes you smack your lips together or jerk your hand in random intervals.
But you don't seem to remember it, immediately going back to what you're doing.
Kristie watches you do it now, at her bedside in the middle of the night. You're just staring at her, blinking randomly and she reaches out for you.
"Chook?" She asks," Chook, baby, are you okay? What's wrong?"
You're still frozen for a little bit before clarity appears in your eyes again and you say," Helen threw up on my floor."
Kristie sighs, whacking Sam on the shoulder, jerking her awake.
"Sam," She says," Helen threw up in Chook's room. We need to clean it up."
"Wha-? Huh?"
"Helen threw up," Kristie repeats," All over Chook's new carpet. We need to clean it."
Sam drags herself out of bed. "I've got it. Come on, Chook. Let's go check on Helen, huh?"
You nod and Kristie gets out of bed too, frowning.
"Chook," She calls as Sam gets to work cleaning up your carpet," Can you come here a sec?"
You pad over obediently, letting Mommy touch your forehead and check down your throat.
"Mommy," You complain," Helen's sick! Not me!"
Kristie's not convinced.
They've been happening on and off for days now. It's a wonder it takes this long for Sam to notice but eventually she does.
It's a quiet day off and, for once, Kristie isn't jumping down her throat at wedding planning.
Sam's planning on relaxing with a movie but she's staring at you instead.
You're staring at her too, technically but you're not really. You've got that glazed-over look in your eyes that your teacher had told Sam about just two days ago when she picked you up from school.
Your teacher told Sam to try to snap you out of your daydreaming but she thinks this is different. You have no concept of what's going on around you.
You have no idea Sam's waving her hand in front of your face.
"Kristie!" She yells out, panicked," Chook's being weird!"
Kristie doesn't seem as panicked when she comes in though, inspecting your face before sighing.
"We need to take her to the doctor."

Friends with Benefits (M.Perez x F!Reader)
Warnings: Smut, fingering, thigh humping, oral, face sitting, pet names, praise
Notes: Of course I write for Euphoria Maddy's one of my favorite characters although I love Elliot I gotta write for my girl especially since she's played by Alexa Demie.
Word Count: 1,638
If I'm being honest, the relationship happens so naturally that the two of you didn't give it a second thought or talk about it. You like being Maddy's friend. The two of you get along so well that you do anything together. And you guys are just so close and comfortable, you guys cuddle, do each other's hair, give each other pecks on the cheek, change in front of each other, even letting Maddy straddle you as she does your makeup or your eyebrows. You guys are just the best of friends and you love that.
But you can't deny any of the feelings you have for her. She just reels you in with her personality and obviously her looks. She's an honest person, she keeps everything real and speaks nothing but the truth. But you can't stop the dirty and vulgar thoughts every time she bends over. You can't stop the way your body reacts when you guys are cuddled up and you feel her body press up against you and her leg wrapping around your waist.
I mean yeah, it's embarrassing and you'd feel guilty for thinking of your friend in such a dirty way. You feel guilty for staring too long when watching her change into some more comfortable clothes before your girl's night begins. The night starts off with Maddy straddling you and doing her makeup look on your face so you two could match and take a couple of pictures. But this time it was different, at least it felt different. She did her usual routine on you, cleaning your face and putting some moisturizer on you. But it felt like her goal wasn't to do your makeup.
Maddy, very subtly, grinded against your thigh. You didn't notice anything until you slightly moved the leg that was under her. She stifled a moan and acted as if nothing happened. Your eyes were closed, enjoying the moment between the two of you but it was hard to keep them closed when Maddy continuously rubbed herself against you. You tested the waters, moving your hands up her hips and moving your leg against her.
She placed her brush, which didn't have anything on it, down on her bed. Placing her hands beside your head. "Sorry.." she whispered, causing you to smile and open your eyes, looking up at her, "Don't apologize, lemme help you."
She hesitated, she could just get off of you right now and hope to calm herself down. But before she could decide what to do you move her hips, and she feels dizzy at the way you're looking up at her, maintaining eye contact as your grip on her hip tightens. "Please, mami?" you ask.
She thinks it's a joke. Maybe she's meant to laugh and tell you that friends don't do all that. But in all honesty, she's been feeling so needy and her pussy is just soaking and begging to be touched right now. "You want to? You don't have to just because I'm acting like this."
"Yeah, plus its been a while since I've done anything. Kinda craving it." you chuckle. Maddy nods her head and smiles before her lips form an 'o'. You're moving your leg against her and the friction is driving her insane. She leans her head down in the crook of your neck, whimpering and moaning in your ear turning you on. It doesn't take long for her movement to quicken and for her to cum in her shorts. She loved that, it's so nice with you, especially how gentle you were with her.
She already likes you, and now she just got off from riding your thigh, maybe she'll get a chance to get eaten out by you or maybe even fingered. Fuck, she wants a lot from you now.
She barely even caught her breath from her orgasm before you suggested something.
"You think I could eat you out too?"
That's how she ended up on your face, her fingers in your hair and her hips bucking against your nose. Your chin drenched in her juices and your saliva. You're eating her out as if you were starving. She's trembling and whining your name as she cums and shakes for a second time.
Neither of you needed to mention anything, with just one look and a kiss you guys agreed to become friends-with-benefits. It's perfect for the two of you, you really like her, being friends with her, and you like to fuck so it's a win win for you guys.
Three days go by and Maddy is pulling you from your friend group and to an empty classroom. She's so riled up and clearly upset from something, or someone. You ask her what happened while kissing her neck and pulling her skirt up. She goes on a rant about something having to do with Cassie and Nate. You give her a "Mhm.." while pushing her panties to the side, and sliding a finger up and down her folds.
"Then while I was at her house- shit..Rue comes in and.." she trails off, eyes rolling back as she forgets her train of thought. "What happened when Rue came in, baby?"
"Um..C-Cassie said some nice things like..telling her to hah take her time with recovery..a-and.." she can't concentrate when your fingers are moving in and out of her pussy. "I'm listening."
"Rue asked her how long she's been fucking Nate..and turns out they've been fuck- fucking for a while." she chuckled, hands gripping your shoulders as her leg rested on your hip. You worked your fingers in and out of her, curling and hitting that one spot that makes her eyes roll back. Her moans grew louder as her orgasm approached, you used your free hand to cup her face and pull her in for a kiss, muffling her moans.
Her hips bucked against your hand, her clit getting some friction as she came in your palm. "Well, it's a good thing you don't have to worry about him anymore. Right?" you smiled, pulling her close and allowing her to catch her breath.
The two of you start experimenting more. Trying all of the things Nate never wanted to do with her. Learning and exploring more of each other's bodies. The best part is that there aren't any secrets between you. You're best friends after all, you tell each other everything, and do everything.
Maddy mentions how Nate, or any guy she's been with hasn't treated her as good nor have they treated her good in bed when you have her on your face as you eat her out for a whole hour. And it makes your heart flutter to see her so happy all because of you!
The whole friends-with-benefits thing feels so easy and natural. Maddy finds you, whether it be in the halls or your house, she tells you what got her so stressed or upset, and you fuck her right there against the wall or door and afterward on your bed or on a desk. And you won't stop until she squirts and cums all over you, becoming a mess under you.
The two of you cuddle for a movie marathon, and your hand just so casually and naturally slips into Maddy's shorts, rubbing circles around her clit while her hand slips into your pants as she slips two of her pretty fingers in. The movie long forgotten as you guys focus on cumming rather than the ending of the movie.
When you're stressed and exhausted from the assignments piling up she slips under your desk and pulls your pants down along with your panties, eating you out and slowly fingering you until you cum all over her fingers. She licks her fingers clean and massages your inner thigh telling you that you'll do fine and that you'll pass the semester.
You guys haven't noticed that you're practically a couple already. The kissing, the dates, the sex, the "I love yous", everything should've given it away as well as the way you guys look at each other and the fact that neither of you seemed interested in dating someone else.
You guys were invited to a party together, which is a normal thing for friends to do. Although, you admit that the way you guys dance with each other now is a bit different than before. But it's perfectly fine, plus neither of you mind if people know that you guys are friends-with-benefits.
Only thing that's new is when she turns to you and kisses you right there in the middle of the floor, and it makes you feel happy that you're the only one she kisses. You can't pull away from her, she's intoxicating, she makes your mind spin and heart flutter.
The only person who really asks about the two of you are Lexi and Kat. They walked into the kitchen and found you pressing Maddy up against the fridge with your tongue down her throat and her hands gripping your shoulders and pulling you closer by the back of your neck.
"What the fuck?!" Kat exclaimed, visibly confused, "You two are dating?" Lexi asked.
"No?" you answered, though it sounded more like a question. "Then what is this?" Kat asked, "We're just friends, duh." Maddy laughed, "Bullshit." Lexi laughed. "We are! We just make out and fuck sometimes."
"Uh huh.."
"Oh shit, you guys are dating?" Rue asked, walking in on the scene. "It was about time, you guys have been practically married since you guys met." she chuckled, filling her red solo cup with more alcohol and leaving, taking Lexi with her, Kat following.
"I didn't know we were married. But I like it, how about you?" you smiled, leaning close to the girl, "I don't mind being married to you." she smiled kissing you.

âOscar??â Y/n said, confused, as she made her way towards the man in front of her.Â
âWhat are you doing here?â She asked as she finally got a better view of the comp science major standing under the lights that cast a soft glow on his face.Â
"Y/n," Oscar said, a hint of nervousness laced his voice. "I'm glad you came!" he said.
"Wait, are you the one who left that message??" Y/n asked. Not bothering to wait for a reply, she continued, "How did you even do that? Wasn't Mr. Stella working on it? So how did you even get the chance to change that? Unless you were working on it with him. Is that what you were doing? Why? First you ignore me, keep on making excuses, ditch me to hang out with another girl, and then when I get someone else to help me with this, you go behind my back and work on it?? How does that even make sense? Osc-" Her ramble was cut short with Oscar suddenly shouting, "Stop! Y/n, would you please stop for the love of God and let me explain?"Â
The girl instantly fell silent, waiting for the boy to continue. "Yes, I changed the form so that you could get the coordinates. I had gone to Mr. Stella and begged him if I could work on the form and finish what I had started with you," Oscar said.
"Why? Why would you do all that? Because I told you I don't need your help? Is that why you decided to call me here late at night? and for what?" Y/n said, feeling herself get teary-eyed by the sudden outburst of emotions. "Do you not want me to do well in the assignment? Is that what this is because if that is why you are doing all of this Oscar Piastri, I swear to god?"Â
"I did this because I LOVE YOU," Oscar blurted out; he could not take it any longer. He could not keep his mouth shut and watch the girl he loves think he did all of this out of spite.
Y/n felt her heart stop. This was not what she was expecting when she left her house today in hopes of finding the person behind the mysterious message. "What??" Y/n said, in fact, that was all she could get herself to say.
"I love you; I have for a while now. Daniel had texted me one day saying that he's happy to see me happy with you, and I freaked out. I know that this was no excuse for me ignoring you, and I'm really sorry for that. But I didn't know how else to react," Oscar said, staring down at the ground, refusing to look at Y/n.Â
"I've never felt like this; all my life I never felt like the need to be with someone, and so I never bothered with it. But the more time we spent together for the project, the more I realized that I did not want it to end. And so I started to make excuses just so we could spend more time working on the project. But I didn't realize that doing so would make it end sooner," he said. "Lily was just working with me on one of our assignments; I never thought you'd think that I was dating her. I never meant for things to get so complicated between us. I understood your decision to work with my professor, and I'm sorry I went behind your back to work on the project. Please don't get angry with him; he was very hesitant to let me do this in the first place. I just hope that we can still be friends." Oscar finally finished and looked up at Y/n.
Both Y/n and Oscar had taken a seat at one of the chairs kept outside, and for a good five minutes no words were exchanged between the two. Suddenly, Y/n got up and said, "I'm sorry, Oscar, but I have to go," and without waiting for him to reply, Y/n walked out of the cafe.
Leaving a confused and heartbroken Oscar behind.

[SUMMARY: You are a new maid for General Marcus Acacius.]
Dubcon smut
âAre you married?â
âWidowâ you whispered.
âAhâŠI take you havenât been touched in some time then..â
What you would give to have a different lifeâŠ
Constantly sold to be placed as a maid for the different rich men of Rome, except this time you were placed with someone you didnât expect.
General Marcus Acacius
The man was a well known respected gladiator yet it was the last place you wanted to be. He was constantly buying any woman he wanted for self pleasure, you hated the idea of it. Thankfully servants werenât meant for that type of pleasure, still, you didnât want to be anywhere near it.
Standing in a room alone you soon were met with an older gentleman who explained to you that the General would be out very soon. Why the hell were you nervous?
After what felt like forever the front door slowly opened and there he was, General Marcus Acacius. Wearing white and gold his presence made your heart skip a beat. Walking towards you he stopped just a foot before you, his eyes taking in everything he could as you looked away intimated by him.
âYou must be the new servantâ
You swallowed nervously looking back up at him.
âYesâ
His eyes trailed over you as if he was expecting something else..someone else.
âIs there a problem General-â
âMarcusâ he quickly corrected you.
âMarcusâ you whispered slightly hesitant, it wasnât common to be on a first name basis as a servant.
âNothing is wrong at all. You are just not what I expected..â not for a servant anyways, he thought.
Maybe a mistress, a prostitute but not a servant. Servants were usually much older women in their seventies who strictly were made to clean and cook.
âI apologize if-â
âDonât apologize. Iâm not disappointedâ he assured you.
âOne of the other servants will come find you and explain your duties and where you will be staying, I expect to see you bright and early in the morningâ
âYes, Marcus.â You nodded and quietly bowed before he took one last look at you and left the room.
Marcus went on to his duties for the evening and that night was welcomed in a room by a group of young women. The women bought for him as a gift from a man that felt he was in debt to him. Gifted with women was a usual thing for Marcus, yet was never spoken of.
Miriam was the servant who introduced herself to you and explained everything that would be needed from you. She warned you that you may encounter âcertain female guestsâ from time to time. It didnât surprise you, thatâs what these men did.
Miriam explained to you that Marcus liked his food a certain way, his room set up a certain way and his warm baths at a certain time.
She explained that some times when entering his room he might be with certain guests in view but she reminded you to ignore it.
âYou do not look, you do not speak to him, you knock, you walk in and you walk out. Understood?â
âYesâ you nodded as she handed you things that you needed to leave in his room and patted your back before walking away.
Taking a deep breath you knocked on his door and anxiously waited to hear his voice.
âCome in!â He called out. Quickly you opened the door and just as you were warned, there he was on the bed with three women. Instantly you froze feeling awkward as you rushed to the other end of the room and placed his belongings down. Hearing the women laugh together you turned your back to them and continued your duties. Never had you been in a situation like this, the only time you had ever been sexual with a man was with your husband whom died years ago. You couldnât understand how women enjoyed being sexual peasants to these men, of course the luxury that came with it mustâve been nice but you despised men for this. For a moment you turned, your gaze catching him sticking his finger in a womanâs mouth. Whatever he was doing you could tell he liked, the look on his face almost hypnotizing you. Something seemed so erotic about General Marcus when suddenly his eyes caught yours. Quickly you turned away ready to leave before accidentally tripping over your own foot and falling to your knees. Marcus quickly sat up slowly pushing the woman to the side as you gathered what you had dropped and quickly stood up walking towards the door. Yet, just before you could reach it, he caught up to you.
âAre you alright?â He tilted his head looking down at you.
âI apologize I was just-â
âAre you alright?â He repeated his question sternly.
âYesâ you answered without looking up at him.
âI didnât mean toâŠinterruptâ
âYou didnât interrupt anythingâ he assured you. Marcus could tell this wasnât something you were familiar with in any way yet before you he could say another word you quickly excused yourself and bowed. Marcus watched as you ran out closing the door behind you while one of the women from the bed stood up and came up behind him.
âArenât you going to join us?â His attention elsewhere.
âNot tonightâ his response taking them by surprise.
âSeek anotherâ the women knew they couldnât argue. Quickly grabbing their clothes they ran out of the room unaware of where to go.
Standing in the kitchen with Miriam you watched as the women whom were just naked in the Generals room came running down the hall and out the front door.
âThatâs a firstâ she uttered under her breath when Marcus appeared at the door.
âGeneral Marcusâ Miriam quickly stood up straight nudging you with her elbow. With your chin up beside her you stood still as he walked towards the both of you, stopping right before you.
âMay I have a moment alone with my dear new servant?â He looked at Miriam whom seemed rather shocked by his request but quickly she obliged and left the room.
âIs there anything I can do for you?â You asked anxiously. His eyes squinted as he stared down at you, a smirk slowly appearing on his lips.
âDid you want to join us?â
Your eyes widened by his question.
âI beg your pardon?!â
âI saw you looking-â
âAnd I-I apologize for that. I will never do that again, it was a mistake and-â
âYou were curiousâ he sounded amused.
âNoâ you attempted to defend yourself but you didnât even sound convincing to yourself. Marcus took another step closer, his body an inch away from touching yours.
âTell me..â he slowly tilted your face up to him.
âAre you married?â
âWidowâ you whispered.
âAhâŠI take you havenât been touched in some time thenâ
âExcuse meâ you moved your face away from his hand.
âIâm sorry, I just canât help but notice when a woman is lacking physical touch-â
âI am notâ you lied. God, it was like he could see through you.
âIs that so?â His large hand took hold of your face again as you looked up at him. Your lips moved but you didnât make a sound, yet you didnât have to. Marcus smiled and slowly brushed his thumb along your bottom lip. Never had you experienced this in any other place as a servant, it wasnât suppose to happen. You would be lying if you said you werenât feeling a tingly sensation in between your thighs, a form of excitement you hadnât felt in years and you couldnât control it.
âWould you like me to make you cum?â His question snapping you out of your trance. You instantly took a step back and gasped.
âExcuse me- what do you think Iâm here for?â
âTo serve me, yet here I am asking to serve youâ you shook your head in confusion. Confused that he spoke to you like if you were a mistress, more confused that part of you wanted to say yes.
âI have to goâ you panted before running off to your bedroom not caring about any rules when leaving his presence. General Marcus was left with amusement and didnât say a word.
The next day you woke up thinking over and over what Marcus had said to you the night before. You found yourself having a dream of him that you didnât expect to have, a dream that left youâŠaroused. Why the hell were you so turned on by this man? This wasnât like you in any way.
Meeting Miriam in the kitchen she looked over at you curiously as you prepped for the day.
âGood morningâ
âMorningâ you uttered softly.
âWhat happened last night?â She asked distracting you.
âNothing, why?â
âI didnât see you again after General Marcus spoke to you and he has specifically requested for you to prep his bath after heâs finished training in the eveningâ
âIsnât it suppose to be you today?â
âMhmâ she nodded.
âJust donât say too much, donât look him in the eyes and make sure you always address him as the Generalâ she whispered unaware that Marcus had already strictly approved you calling him by his first name.
âYes, thank youâ you whispered with a nod as you began your duties.
As the day went on you couldnât stop thinking about the night before, you couldnât stop thinking about what he could possibly want later on that evening. The thought of facing him made your heart race, were you suppose to act as if he hadnât asked you such a vulgar direct question?
That evening you decided to get a head start and have his room prepped trying to find a way to avoid seeing him.
Of course, that didnât work.
Humming to yourself you placed his freshly clean clothes on the bed as he walked in the room silently. Slowly walking towards you he waited until he was just a foot behind you and cleared his throat. With a loud gasp you jumped with your hand on your chest.
âMarcus!â You turned to him not expecting him to have been in the room let alone so close. He chuckled with his hands behind his back, moving closer, towering over you.
âDid I frighten you, my dear?â Your eyes tracing over his armor he wore ready to train.
âN-noâŠI justâŠI wasnât expecting you just yetâ
His tongue sliding slowly between his teeth as he looked down at you analyzing your every feature, taking in your every breath.
âMarcusâŠI believe there was a misunderstanding last nightâ
âIs that what you think?â He bit his bottom lip with a smirk.
âI am simply your servant, no more than that.â
You spoke hesitantly taking a step back.
âThen answer me this questionâ you took a deep breath wondering what his question would be.
âDid you feel somethingâŠbetween your legs when I spoke to you last night?â He moved closer, his question making it hard to catch your breath.
âDid you feel an ache to be touched..â his words somehow once again making that very same feeling form.
âStop itâ you whispered practically rolling your eyes back.
âI havenât even begunâ his lips brushed against your temple, searching for yours when he suddenly grabbed your face and kissed you. In shock you whimpered unable to push him away. Once he pulled away he left you gasping for air, a look of confusion as your heart raced.
âWhat are you doing?!â
He pulled you against him as you placed your hands on his chest attempting to push him away. The more he touched you the weaker you felt, he knew you wanted him just as much. But you couldnât let this happen, the only man to ever kiss you and touch you was your husband. For seven years since he died, you had never wanted another. This wasnât right to want this, let alone with a man who only wanted to use you. Once again you attempted to push him away but his hold was much stronger.
âI will not be one of your whores!â You yelled when he reached behind you and grabbed a chunk of your hair, with a hard tug he made you gasp. He didnât say a word, forcing you to look up at him you felt his hand slowly make its way beneath your dress.
âWhat are you doing?!â You whispered as he parted your legs with his foot.
âIâm gonna make you cum-â
âNoâ your hands attempting to reach for his but he tugged at your hair harder making you scream. His hand brushing along your inner thighs until he slid his fingers beneath the fabric that covered your womanhood. His eyes focused deeply on yours as they widened feeling his finger slide between your folds. He moaned deeply once he felt how aroused you already were.
âMarcus..please-â
âShhhâ he slowly began to move his finger in a circular motion on your clit watching as you became hooked on the feeling he was giving you. A soft moan escaping your lips before you once again attempted to push his hand away but again he yanked at your hair making you whimper. Moving his hand faster he felt your legs grow weaker, his legs holding yours against the wall as you began to pant uncontrollably.
âMarcus wait-â your hands now grabbing onto him as he stared down at you serious waiting for you to explode. He didnât say a word, he didnât have to, he breathed heavily moving his hand as fast as he could when your legs suddenly bent and gave out. A feeling you never thought you would feel again taking over your entire core, you moaned loudly as Marcus held you balanced between him and the wall.
âOh my-â your legs shaking not allowing you to stand straight as the electric waves of pleasure ran through your body down to your toes. Attempting to catch your breath Marcus unexpectedly picked you up and sat you on the near by windowsill immediately removing his armor.
âWait, weâre not suppose to-â aggressively he grabbed you by your legs and pulled you towards him.
âMarcus!â You gasped just as you felt him plunge into you. Both of his hands dug into your hair as he gritted his teeth and continued to slam himself into you. Locking eyes with you he made you take all of him deeply. You couldnât speak, your mouth open as your body felt something it hadnât felt in years.
But it was different.
Why did it feel so intense?
âFuck!â Sweat beginning to form on his brow and the center of his chest, you found yourself wrapping your arms around him pulling him closer. His hands moving down your waist pulling your body to the edge as he kissed you erotically, you were about to cum again and he could feel it.
âYouâre gonna cum again arenât you?â He whispered roughly out of breath.
âOh-oh-â he grabbed your face watching as your eyes rolled back, your hips jerking against him as you felt as if your body was floating. You cried out in pleasure as he waited for it to move throughout your entire body before heâd let himself cum. And when he did he made sure he spilled every drop of himself inside you, with a groan he pushed your body against the window and held himself in place.
Out of breath you could feel him throbbing inside you, you hadnât expected him to release himself in you yet you didnât say a word at first.
Marcus slowly pulled himself as he grabbed a towel and dried his face. Slowly letting yourself down to your feet you grabbed onto the wall feeling how your legs felt like jello. Fixing your dress you watched as he wrapped a towel around his waist silently before you found the courage to speak.
âYouâŠyou finished inside meâ your words making him look up at you.
âOf course I didâ you looked down slightly disappointed making him slowly walk to you and tilt your face up to him.
âYou didnât like that?â
âNo- I mean yes- I mean no- IâŠlook Iâve only had sex with my husband, Iâm not used to this. I never had children-â
âAre you afraid to be with child?â
Silently you swallowed nervously unsure how to answer his question, it was something you never thought of.
âWe shouldnât have done thisâ you whispered.
âMay I be excusedâ Marcus stared down at you silently noticing the tears you held back, a hint of guilt forming in his chest. Without saying a word he moved aside motioning with his arm for you to pass and you quickly didâŠ

PLS CAN YOU FEED US MORE hero of the nation knight!childe ON MY KNEES I LOVE YOUR WORK SO MUCH AND I SEARCHED EVERYWHERE FOR A FIC LIKE THIS
This took FOREVER to write, but here you go!!
Blessings Be to The Hero of the Nation
Historical AU
Yandere Hero of the Nation! Childe x Fem! Reader
TW: yandere themes, stalking, minor character death, blood, threatening, forced marriage/engagement
He kept one of your hair ribbons wrapped around the hilt of his sword. It billowed in the wind constantly and would draw watchful eyes to it. That pastel pink fabric didn't match a single thing on his brutish, usually bloody exterior, but he still kept it regardless. You tragically didn't give it to him in a blatant display of affection and well wishes for him on his journey, instead, he found the little ribbon after it'd blown off your head and up to the wind. A little pout formed on your lips realizing you'd lost it, but you decided against retrieving it. He didn't though. He picked it up and placed it in his pocket, taking it home to clean off the dirt and grime.
That same ribbon was clenched in his hands when he arrived at the gate of your manor, along with a few other gifts that he would give to you. He'd just slayed the dragon, the wretched menace that was terrorizing the nation, now and only now did he feel worthy to ask for your hand. Cleaning off all the blood and gore that was on his armor, polishing it into light metal that could blind anyone who looked directly at it, he was certain that this would charm you off of your feet.
When he was invited into your home by your parents who were surprised to see the hero himself at their door, he didn't care about the tea or the cakes. The praise meant nothing coming from them. He skipped the pleasantries and went straight to the point. He wanted your hand in marriage and he wanted the wedding to be soon.
A skittish expression crossed your father's face as he gritted his teeth, âWe've decided to leave that decision up to her.â Childe smirked, that was even better. He'd never met a woman who wouldn't fall for his charms.
You were called down from your room, eyelids heavy and half open, still in your thin sleeping gown with a robe over it. You were rubbing the tiredness from your eyes as you walked down the stairs, your other delicate hand gripping the banister. And when you saw him, you bowed. A deep traditional bow, given to those of a respectable higher status.
He kneeled down on one knee before you. The male kneeled for only one person, the queen herself. His sword pulled from its sheath, he laid it flat against his palms, offering it up to you. That knocked the sleepiness from his body and suddenly your eyes were wide open. Genuine shock was making your body stiff as a board and you looked back and forth to your parents who didn't say a word.
âYour visage has danced around my heart non stop since the first time I laid eyes on you. I wish to use this sword only to fight for you. Won't you please do me the honor of becoming my wife?â Words spoken in honor, with him meaning every bit of it. You were meant to take the sword from his hands, tapping it gently upon each of his shoulders, but you didn't. You just stood there, lips trembling, but not saying anything.
A marriage proposal via a letter was easy to ignore or reject, you didn't have to see their reaction. But never had you had someone be so bold as to propose to you in person. And not only that, the very hero that saved the Kingdom. Rumors told you he'd be marrying the first princess, she obsessed over him before he became the hero and those feelings seemed to only grow stronger after he waltzed into the city with the bloody head of the beast. Yet here he was at your feet, patiently anticipating your answer which he was positive was going to be a yes.
âI-'' you began, trying to think of the easiest way to let him down gently, âI fear that I'm not ready for marriage yet.â You said hurriedly. That wasnât entirely a lie. You spent countless hours looking at the list of marriage candidates and scoping them out at balls and parties, but quickly realizing that none of them suited your tastes in that way. The entire idea of being wed barely satisfied you. You wanted to push it off for as long as possible.
âI'm willing to wait for you until the world crumbles. I'd even accept being your fiance until the day we die, as long as I can say you're mine,â he was persistent, you'd give him that.
You fiddled with your fingers nervously. Time felt as if it had stopped and this moment would never end. No matter what you did, he was still going to be there, âI thought you were to be wed to her highness, the princess?â You questioned him.
A scoff fell from his cherry pink lips, eyes looking you up and down, drinking in every inch of your body in that thin nightgown, âShe does not interest me. Not the way you do.â
âThere is really nothing interesting about me,â
âWon't you let me be the judge of that?â
Your shoulders slumped as you looked to your parents. They seemed as surprised by his persistence as you did, but weren't going to step in to help you, they always affirmed that it was your decision, they wanted you to be independent.
âForgive me, hero, but I can not accept your offer,â
For just a split second you saw that princely expression slip. His eyes grew dark, lips in a deep frown, a rage you'd never seen before. But he was back to his usual expression in less than a second, that charming smile forming on his lips again as he stood from his knees and sheathed his sword a little too slowly.
âYou wound me, my lady,â he'd mutter softly, hands still conveniently tight around the hilt of this sword, âWon't you please accept my gifts? And if you are to begin considering marriage, I hope that my proposal will be remembered fondly.â
Childe showed himself out, a little too quickly, but you didn't dare tell him to slow down. It was only once he was out those large double doors, did the air in your home feel breathable, you finally felt safe again. You watched his carriage leave from a window, watching as his eyes went dull again, losing all shimmers and feeling like a hollow mimicry of what humans were supposed to look like.
You were quite embarrassed to say you fell in love after that. Not with Childe, of course. You mentally tried to push the man from your mind after the way he startled both you and your family. Instead, your feelings developed for a commoner boy. You found yourself eyeing him when he'd deliver produce to your home, his face being one of pure beauty despite his messy exterior. As months went by, you'd catch yourself stealing bashful glances at him, locking eyes only for both of you to look away shyly. When the engagement was announced, Childe was one of the first to hear about it.
You twirled around the house in your wedding dress. Something plain and basic, but it was what your family could afford, and quite honestly, you loved it. You didn't want to take it off. Your fear of getting it dirty lessened as the days went by, until the wedding was only a week away.
âA guest for you, my lady,â one of your maids had said. Typically, when the employees of the house saw you dressed in your white gown, they'd smile at you, overjoyed as well. But she didn't. She looked worried, even a bit tense as she made the announcement to you.
âI hadn't arranged to meet anyone today,â you said a bit quietly, going to you closer to pick out something to change into, âPlease tell them to wait in the day room.â
She stood stiffly for a second, then opened her trembling mouth to speak again, âI tried to, my lady. But he insisted on seeing you right now. He's just outside the door,â
A part of you wanted to ask who it was, who would be so disrespectful as to barge right up to a lady's room without her permission. But you already knew. There was a sense of unease sinking into your stomach. Unease and recognition. All the gifts and letters he'd sent weren't enough, were they? The man you were ignoring just had to come see you in person.
âLet him in,â you told the maid. She seemed confused at the ease at which you allowed such a thing, but still opened the door, revealing Childe who stood still in the hallway. He stepped past her, eyes only trained on you, âYou're dismissed,â you said quietly, with a reassuring smile to the maid. Hesitance danced across her face, looking back and forth between you Childe, but she still did as told, bowing before leaving.
âYou look lovely,â he said breathlessly, taking in the sight of you in that pure white dress.
âThank you,â was all you could think to say back. Now that he was here before you, your mind was growing blank, all the things you wanted to say suddenly getting lost in fear. You tried not to notice the tension in the room, the way he was eyeing you like a predator about to pounce on a rabbit, but even your tough exterior was easy to see through.
âMy heart aches for you, my lady,â he speaks softly while taking slow steps towards you. The terror of this situation made you move backwards, until your feet had made you press your back against the wall, âI fear that my haste might've made me do somethingâŠirrational.â
His dominant hand seems focused on the sword at his hip, making you look at it. It was only when you saw the red speckles all over his hand, hilt of the sword, and the oddly familiar pink ribbon he kept tied around it, did that coppery smell fill your nostrils.
With a trembling voice and a fake smile, you tried to assure him, âAny mistake is fixable, Sir Childe.â
âNot this one,â his hand continued to hold the hilt of his sword, squeezing it a few times as of testing the weight of his blade, âDo you know the best part of being the hero? The dragon slayer?â He asked, waiting for your response which was just a slow, forced shake of your head, prompting him to continue, âIt's not the riches or the praise. It's not even the women.â As he speaks, one of his hands slides down from your cheek, to your neck, to the bodice of your dress. Tearful eyes look down to see him smearing that red liquid, that blood onto you white dress, staining it.
âI don't understand,â you mumbled, but your words fall on deaf ears.
âThe best part of being the hero, is the freedom to do what I want. With no prosecution. Who in their right mind would stand up to the man who saved our failing nation? The answer is no one. Not the king, nor his workers, and especially not your weak little fiance,â
The sight and smell of blood, Childe's deep, hollow blue eyes, the way your heart felt as if it wanted to lurch out of your mouth. All things you tried to focus on as his words pounded their way into your skull, understanding washing over you like a wave that was trying to drown you where you stood.
âWh-what did you do?â Your voice, so high pitched and breaking as the weight of the words forced through your body.
His hand, cold, soft, wet with blood rubbed your cheek, while his face never faltered, those dead eyes never changing, he had no remorse. It made you sick to your stomach, images of your fiance flashing through your head as you tried to imagine what he looked like, the hopeful ones saying that he was at least still alive.
âI'm going to ask again, nicely this time,â he began while pulling a ring from his pocket. Much more intricate than the one your fiance had given you, seeing as he had the hero's budget. But that didn't make you feel any less light headed when it was slipped onto your ring finger, freezing cold against your warm skin, âWill you do me the honor of becoming my bride?â
