She's expressing exactly what I feel.

I'll cherish the Star Wars of yore - my Star Wars - but the rest I will definitely ignore, for the sake of my poor nerves.

If anything, there might be some few exceptions where I grow fond of one or two characters (though only my personal interpretation of them), but that was it.

And I prefer to keep it that way. I am sick of these constant disappointments.

#that's not the Star Wars I grew up with #it has always been one of my major special interests (yes I can use that term as I actually do have aspergers)#and also a source of warmth and hope - one that I so desperately needed back then and still do now #Disney has taken something so precious to me and fucking crapped all over it - and twisted it into something that I don't recognize anymore #I fucking hate how cynical it has become #and don't even get me started on the preachy & annoying af ''activism'' - it's literally steeped in woke ideology ... ugh #at the expense of good characterization and storytelling #therefore - I reject that shit #and only pay attention to the few aspects that don't stress me the eff out #rant over I guess ... for now
