sometimes trying to write a verse and fit an oc into an established universe is harder than just making a new oc altogether and errrgh maybe it's just not in the cards tonight ;v;
#trying to settle on an arcane verse for chiyo but i'm second-guessing whatever ideas i have bc it's like#what makes sense for canon vs. what will be fun for others to write against vs. what will be interesting for me to write#bc i do want chiyo somewhat close to some of the action one way or another but i also don't want that closeness to feel forced#and i want to leave wiggle room so she can interact with a range of people rather than just one group#and then there's also me going ' well she'd for sure have sympathies for the undercity ' but how would she know what's going on#if she lives topside? ' she had a friend down there! now she doesn't :( ' okay but how'd they meet and now what does she do about that#and on the flipside if she's living in the undercity what's the angle there? i know i'd want her to act as the medic for the firelights#but how'd she get in that position?#okay writing my ideas out like this makes me feel silly like i'm overthinking this for sure but just :( i'm getting annoyed with myself#maybe it's not a writing night#get ready to ramble | ooc
