Ok I'm in a Sonic mood right now. So I'm gonna tell ya'll my thoughts on each of the Sonic shows in the order they came out. However, I haven't seen two of them, and will tell you why. Now let's begin!

The Adventures Of Sonic The Hedgehog

This show is hilarious. And honestly, the way it depicts Sonic and Tails' brotherly bond is not only heartwarming, it's held up in the games. And modern, goofy Eggman reminds me a lot of Dr. Robotnik from this show. So honestly, it's characterization of characters holds up pretty well. It's funny, charming, and at times surprisingly heartwarming. 8/10

Sonic The Hedgehog Saturday Morning Cartoon

I'ma be honest, I haven't seen this show, and I never will. Thank Toxic fans. Sonally shippers getting mad at Sonamy shippers like me. People telling you that all the other shows are inferior and you NEED to watch SatAM or your not a real Sonic Fan, etc. The fanbase is keeping me away, and I know I will not be able to enjoy it because of this. Toxic Fandom/10

Sonic Underground

This show... so back in the day, my parents bought DVDs of the Super Mario Brothers Super Show, The Adventures Of Super Mario Bros 3, and Super Mario World. On each of these, there were previews for other DiC cartoons. On all three were ads for Sonic Underground. And me and bro wanted that, so we rented some DVDs. And I LOVED it. First of all, yeah I know people think Tails was replaced by Sonia and Manic, but being honest, Sonic's dynamic with those two, while still a sibling dynamic, is not the same as his dynamic with Tails. And Tails could have been written in with the sibs adopting him as a younger brother. Sonia and Manic are also fun characters and I really like them. And even haters of this show have to admit the theme song is good, or at least the singer is having fun. I also like that, unlike the other 90s shows which were nature vs. Technology type things, Underground had this and some magic and Super natural elements. Honestly, concepts like this show up in the games, with ancient being sealed away like Chaos, Iblis, Dark Gaia etc. And of course the Storybook Series itself has stuff like this I have been working on a Sonic Underground Season 2 which would loosely adapt modern Sonic Stories and bring in characters from those games. I know the show is far from perfect, but this is my thoughts, not an objective review, which is why it's a 9/10 score. This is NOT objective!

Sonic X

I watched the show in Japanese with subs and I gotta say...why do people hate Chris? He's a kid, a fanboy, and I find his interactions with the cast adorable. The music in the show is also amazing, though I hear it's different in the dub. Also there are Sonamy moments which YEEEEESSSS. I also love how the show managed to pretty faithfully adapt the plots of some of the games. The Meterex Saga was something of a departure, but I still enjoyed it. 9/10

Sonic Boom

I was born in the 2000s. So I was in middle school when this show came out. And I was a Sonic fan. I had played Colors and I think I had gotten Secret Rings pretty recently, though I may have only had Colors. When I watched the first episode, I loved it. And then hated the rest of the show. Because the first episode has a pretty different tone from the rest of the show. I got over this as I got older and started rewatching the show, catching jokes that flew over my head. And while some episodes are like "why are you friends again?" Some, and most in season 2, show these guys are pretty good friends. The Shadow episodes are highlights for me. 7/10

Sonic Prime

I haven't seen this show because I don't have Netflix. I want to see it tho. Netflix is expensive/10

I'm actually interested in the difference between Japanese Sonic/Amy and American Sonic/Amy. I know that Japanese is more pro in the games themselves and in marketing, but do you have specific examples? Also slightly off-topic, but do you think there is a reason why Sonic universes outside the games (Sonic Boom, Sonic X, the comics from time to time) are more liberal when it comes to Sonic/Amy moments? I have one or two ideas but I've never quite put my finger on it.

I’d be more than happy to oblige!

Much like the Anime Trope, these two fall into a rather old but still used one. Girl chases the main hero, main hero either is oblivious or doesn’t show any response to the affections.

SEGA has stated Sonic is ‘Shy’, since he can’t just ‘be oblivious’ to Amy’s open affections… nor can they state he’s ‘neutral’ when that could mean he’s ‘ignoring her’ which would go against Sonic’s natural good heart.

So it’s ‘ambiguous’. Verses- Neutral.

However…

This does in fact differ when it comes to translations.

Examples:

Sonic Adventure 2 Battle:

American: Amy, take care of yourself.

Japanese: Amy…. -long, dramatic pause- Take care of yourself..!

This scene suggests that Japanese Sonic actually paused to think about what to say to her, and also suggests that he felt it was ‘him who should take care of her’ which in Japanese, is very touching and borderlines romantic intent.

American Sonic sped this long pause up to where it was quick and more of a - Winky charm. Whereas, with Japanese, it was more tender and addressed specifically so that more emotion was conveyed. (Some would say at a deeper, more personal level that Sonic wouldn’t natural show anyway.)

Sonic Riders Zero Gravity:

American: Girls hate it when you rush them, Jet!

Japanese: Girls hate stubborn men!

This scene discreetly shows Sonic stepping up to defend Amy, but what’s interesting is that American Sonic is simply telling Jet to back off, whereas… Japanese Sonic is suggesting that Jet stop ‘flirting’ with her. ‘Stubborn men’ suggests that he won’t ease up his targeting her, and is mostly stated for when men are trying to win a girl over -negative connotation at times-. Japanese Sonic is being sarcastic for humor’s sake, but also warning and calling out Jet. Whereas, American Sonic is simply teasing and poking at Jet to turn his anger to himself instead of Amy. (Some, again, would argue the response technically means the same thing, but when you look at the two cultures, you’ll notice that ‘stubborn men’ is more addressed to men who won’t leave a woman alone. -cat callers end up getting beaten up by the main heroes?- In other-words, Japanese Sonic was acting more personally defensive with interceding Jet and Amy; whereas American Sonic was offensive in protecting her and directing Jet to himself for the fun of another race/rivalry.)

Sonic Generations: SEGA of Japan actually stated that Sonic putting his hand up to Amy’s face and pushing her away was out of character. (Something about Sonic not treating his friends like that? I’m sure in Japan, that kind of behavior is considered extremely rude…)

Sonic Adventure:

American: She’s so weird!

Japanese: Amy! Wa-wa-wait just a minute! Sheesh, guess I have no choice…

American Sonic is a bit ‘too cruel’ to most viewers in this scene, though it’s meant to come off as comical. However, in Japanese Sonic is more naturally surrendering to going after Amy’s lead, startled by her suddenly taking off into the park. (Far less harsh, if you ask me.)

Sonic Lost World:

American: Hey, Amy! Looks like springtime’s come early!

Japanese: Yo, Amy! Glad to see you’re okay.

Clearly, the difference is substantial. Japanese Sonic has a tender-care to his words as he addresses Amy, showing he remembers her last ‘farewell’ message and is relieved she’s alright. Whereas, American Sonic is going for the joke, being more peppy instead of relieved and commenting on the environment instead of her directly to her. (Some could say she reminded of him of spring… lol okay, I say that. But spring hints at things, okay!? lol)

There are plenty others, lol. But I don’t want to make this too long.

Overall, American Sonic in the Modern Games is much more ‘for the pun’ and ‘about images’ than Japanese Sonic, who still keeps up ‘face’ but also warmly encourages his friends and treats them respectfully. Most of the American Written games have been stated to be ‘out of character’ by SEGA officials.

America treats Sonamy much like they do their franchise, a meme or joke to be poked fun of. Whereas, with a much more refined atmosphere, Japan treats Sonamy as an endearing and lovely couple. Though both resign to say they can’t really see Sonic ever ‘settling down’ or really being focused on romance. And,… that makes since to me. Knowing who Sonic is. But even that doesn’t mean he can’t have a crush XD (The heart wants what the heart wants, lol!)

My honest opinion?

American Sonic get awkward and werided out by Amy, but still cares about her well being.

Japanese Sonic is shy and uneasy with Amy’s antics, but he appreciates her.

American Amy comes off as a bit much and mood-swingish. Japanese Amy is more caring and understanding of Sonic.

In Sonic X, Japan has a scene where Amy admits that Sonic may never really want her idea of love, he may never even want a family! But she’s not going to give up trying, cause she does love him.

In America, Amy just complains about Sonic not coming on the date and possibly stating he doesn’t care about her.

Japanese Amy is also shown as ‘playful’ in her culture, and her actions are more reflections of ‘positive attributes’ for the culture. America tries to twist and make this ‘funny’ instead of ‘loveable’ and that throws audiences off.

Most Japanese Companies are very ‘tight’ with their characters, protecting them from being ‘out of character’. Nintendo for one is famous for this ‘tight-grasping-hold’ over their characters being portrayed well.

Sega of Japan knows they have too many people using their characters, and so they created ‘Mandates’ to make sure they stay in line. The reason other medias of Sonic are so ‘liberal’ is because Sega of Japan doesn’t ‘closely watch/inspect/is right in their faces’ to be able to regulate it. And honestly? The officials were more concerned about if it’s making money and getting exposure than anything else. They’ve tried to change that policy, visiting America more to secure some credibility in the characters. They first tried this with Sonic Boom but ended up seeming to abandon it. (I don’t blame them) but they have been here more recently with Sonic Mania; Giving me hope that Sonic Forces will be regulated to more ‘in-character’ themes. (Also, the original writer is Japanese, meaning America JUST has to translate correctly)

Most companies generally want to make sure they still have some control over their franchises, mandates and other rules are not uncommon. SEGA is rather ‘looser’ in their holds then Nintendo, for example though. Nintendo will shut down a fan-project that doesn’t treat their character in good light, or even caution Hollywood like with Wreck-It Ralph and Bowser. They gave some particular suggestions for animation and the like on him. SEGA just had fun with it, cause I didn’t hear much of anything from the interview with the director about them other than they ‘were fully on-board!’.

Sonic Boom got away with Sonamy through loopholes and ‘less supervision’ at times. But they have their limitations too. (Other characters comment on Sonic and Amy, but never Sonic reacting/stating blunt comments. Amy could, but they’re going with a more ‘discreet/quiet’ love when it comes to Amy’s crush.)

Sonic X was by SEGA of Japan, they’re allowed to / can do whatever the heck they want. -z formation, hip rotation, snap, snap, hair flip.- It’s 4Kids (illegal?) editing of original content that sometimes messed up translation. But there are things that were only exclusive to Japan’s release. (such as Natsu no hi which was confirmed to be from Sonic’s POV, along with the anime bubbles at seeing Amy in her ‘dress’)

Archie had their hands tied with some strict contracts, such as ‘Sonic can’t have a permanent girlfriend’ and ‘Sonic can’t show any interest in Amy’, but even Ian admits some hints and others in Archie have stated their ‘case’ on the matter too. (One even admitted he thought Silver was Shadow and Amy’s kid xP

Now, I’m not trying to dis America. They’ve survived a lot. But I know where most confusion comes from is that the company can’t decide ‘what Sonic is’. This can be problematic, along with bad marketing ploys. So it’s not entirely their fault. Other forces are to blame here too. Such as the fandom sometimes placing their opinions on things as facts, without checking sources sometimes.. (It happens -shrug-)

 Sonic couldn’t take too much of the heat, nor the uncomfortable feeling of being trapped under a leaky cave like this.

With Amy Rose…

‘Phh, it’s hot in here.’ he lightly fanned out his bandanna, before wondering why Amy wanted to come all the way out this far with him…

The cave had some decent beauty to it, he supposed.

Suddenly… Sonic realized how… dark and humid it really was…

‘Uh-oh!’ he flinched, twitching back when the thought of Amy’s lowered eyes… blinking to him in a slow.. alluring way… caught the fancy of his imagination.

There was… technically… some beauty… in the cave…

“Wow..!”

Sonic heard the gasp and crunched up, shifting his body lower before swiping his eyes and head over to her.

“What is this place?”

Sonic took more notice of Amy’s features… how she had grown up… the way her hand laid by the crook of the ending curve of her silhouette…

He had barely noticed, but he was checking her out and subconsciously making decisions.

Suddenly, Amy seemed to grow nervous. Seeing Sonic staring at her, she sweat dropped a little and turned to meet his stare.

With the awkward silence, brought increased tension, and her eyes shrunk at him not saying anything with his prolonged stare…

“What’s that for!?” she saw his odd expression, but could barely make out in the dark the slight red upon his cheeks.

He also felt the awkwardness, but for some reason, it pulled him towards her,… he moved away from it though, uncertain as he also shared in her nerves.

“..Aren’t you going to..?”

“To what?!” Now Amy was getting upset, seeing him distracted, but she figured maybe he wanted her to lead the charge towards completing their mission.

Sonic suddenly straightened himself out, as if he suspected her of ‘playing dumb’ but wasn’t going to condemn her for it…

Still, he had to look smart, right?

“Yeah… you know…” he waved his hands out, down and out, to hint to her that he was ‘catching on’ to what she was ‘throwing down’.

He played it cool, not wanting to mess up his first real makeout session.

“We are alone, The lights are off..” he was trying to create… ‘the mood’…

“You’re not gonna try and seduce me, right?”

he prepared himself, getting it together and telling himself it was gonna be a run for the rings…

‘Come and get me, Amy…’

Amy was half-listening, half-ignoring him. She was preoccupied with looking around for the crystal, the true mission at stake here.

She had long since concealed more her obsession for Sonic, but even now, he was only making it awkward and not at all what he ‘thought’ was stirring anything in her.

‘Where coud that Crystal be..?’ she barely admired the cave’s beauty, but in the dark, it did glow and radiate some magnificent light…

It could be romantic…

But she kinda shrugged it away, it’s not like Sonic would-

She suddenly picked up on his last line, and every bone in her body spazzed out at around the same time. It was a like a ringing of a bell going off in her craving-deprived mind and she quickly stepped back to look at him.

By now, he was just wondering when she’d pounce… turning his bandanna around, he carefully, silently… undid the knot for her and waited for her to make the first- and last- true move on him to end and sweeten the deal…

Boy was he wrong.

“GEEZ, SONIC!” she flung her arms out to direct him to the lighted, crystalline path.

“Focus on your job!” she scolded, an eye twitching as she used every mental practice of discipline to tell herself he was kidding.

Startled, he shot himself straight up in an army man’s stance, hands to his sides.

“O-okay…” he was more than embarrassed, he was confused, and downright…

Disappointed.

As they continued along, he mumbled little grumbles from the side of his face, at the corner of his frowny mouth. Looking off away from her, he would secretly take glances back at her, seeming more and more frustrated as she walked on ahead.

‘What’s her problem?!’ he moved himself over rocks in their path. ‘She should have been all over me!’

Amy suddenly stopped in the middle of her stride towards deeper within the cave.

‘H-huh.. what’s she doing?’ Sonic froze up a moment, looking perplexed with an ‘o’ in the center of his mouth, as if confused by why she stopped.

His eyes suddenly narrowed, smirking smugly…

‘Heh-heh! She must have realized what a missed opportunity she had! Alright… I’ll let you make it up. No harm… no foul…’ he switched his bandanna around again, before she turned her head over her shoulders.

He flinched at the deep and menacing glare that she held, before she continued to walk on.

Shivering, and not sure if she somehow hated him now or something, he continued to follow her in absolute puzzlement.

“W-what did I do wrong!?” Sonic blurted out, as she ‘hmph’d and pouted,… what he couldn’t see… were faint pink blushes on her cheeks…

The two continued through, as Sonic raced below her while she acrobatically swung herself up one pink, streaking horizontal pillar to the next.

She was gracefully beautiful… and he found himself staring at her with a puffed up cheek of annoyance.

He looked away after a moment, before spinning himself up and dashing up a speed-ramp.

“Amy!” he called out, as she saw the robots coming and jumped in the air to him.

They clasped hands and he swung her to hit the robots that were coming down from the opening at the top, before they landed in it as the robotic pieces of armor came crashing down with the mechanical worms that were piloting them.

They’re hands stayed together as they both peered down at the falling scrap metal.

“That’ll show’em.” Sonic smirked, before looking at them holding hands.

He flinched, and looked away a moment, still blushing.

Amy thought to herself, still staring down. ‘Phew, that was close.’ before looking back up and freaking out once again, her eyes turning white in pure shock at Sonic’s new expression.

He must have thought the expression made him look cool, trying to be extra-handsome, and purse up his lips and give her seductive eyes, but she just threw her arm out of his and walked on, gesturing to the end of the tunnel’s glowing lights.

“MISSION. AT. HAND.” she scolded once again.

“A..Alright.” he freezed up again in a military stance.

‘That’s twice now she’s rejected me!’ After continuing their advance, he rolled up and tightened his bandaging on his arm before Amy noticed his struggles.

‘She can’t really hate me! What did I do? I even tried the first move this time-ah!’

She suddenly put her hands on his shoulders. “Stop a second.” she looked seriously up at him.

‘Ack! this is it!’ he flipped out a moment before taking a deep breath in and closing his eyes.

She didn’t notice and moved for his arm.

He turned his chibi-crying face away from her as she helped clean-up his poor handiwork on his arm’s bandages.

‘Why..???’ he mentally cried out.

“Honestly, you need… to take better care of yourself.” she was blushing..?

Sonic turned back to notice this.

“Hey, Amy… I’ve noticed something.” he was more genuine now, but also innocently inquiring.

She was trying so hard, holding everything back, resisting the urge to hit him just because she didn’t want to frighten him with her constant doting anymore…

“…But you’ve been kinda serious lately, huh?”

She held it together, when she really just wanted to be held at that moment.

Her body quaked, and Sonic took that as her growing frustrated, and flinched back.

“I-I take it back! You’re just super dedicated to helping everyone, r-right!?” he waved his free hand out to try and subdue her anger, but she quickly got up from attending him and twitched her closed-fists.

He looked worried a moment, sweat dropping before…

She looked up with a bright red face.

“YOU DOTE! I’m trying to be sensitive to how you feel!” she blurted out.

He blinked in confusion. “Eh?” he tilted his head as a hammer came crashing down on him.

“OW! H-hey…” he pouted, rubbing his head that he lowered before seeing her turn around, gripping her hammer and hunching over slightly away from him.

“I… emm…” she was still quaking, trying to hold her feelings in… but she really wanted to cry. “Stop teasing me.. it isn’t funny.”

He lowered one hand down.

“…I… I don’t want… em… to distract you.”

He walked towards her, lowering his other arm too and extending them out.

Towards her.

“I just really want to get the mission done!” she thrust herself upwards as his hands flinched back and withdrew themselves from coming around her.

“-And you have to act like me caring about your bandages is ‘too serious’, geez!” she hollered back, and continued on, “Honestly, am I the only one whose trying to be a proper hero here?”

Once again… he misread the situation, and looked almost like he was giving up the ghost.

“I give up. I can’t understand you.” he swayed as if all energy was lost from him.

As they were about to exit the cave, he folded his arms and pouted, looking away while Amy stared at a beautiful scene in front of them.

“For once, nothing is chasing us!” she then continued but he wanted to just leave. Being around her was confusing him, and he didn’t like being so unsure of himself…

Suddenly, as they walked away, she spun around and pecked his cheek after he waited a moment for her to explore her surroundings.

He stepped to the side, pleasantly startled, and tried to hide his embarrassment at not being ready for her sweet action.

“W-wh-what was that for?!” he stated, surprised as his hands came up to ‘guard’ himself from any further unexpected surprises.

She leaned a little forward, to the side of him, and put her hands behind her. She cutely beamed a sweet grin up to him, closing her eyes, “For letting me have my way~” she teased, and then continued on, looking determined and refocused again.

“Now, let’s find the others and the rest of the crys-ACK!”

She had raised a fist up, heroically, before turning back to seeing Sonic flinging off his bandanna reaching an arm out for her again.

When he saw she wasn’t ‘still in that mindset’ he raced back for his bandanna, “Oh no! The wind! My bandanna! Get back here, you-!!!” he faked his worry about the bandanna and darted to grab it again, comically jumping and missing it on purpose to throw her off his…

Original… intent…

I have this prompt for a sonamy fanfic, I'm not sure if you've already done something like this but here goes. This is set in either modern or boom, whatever one you think suits this... Amy is having nightmares and flashbacks about when she was kidnapped by metal Sonic and has been waking up in a cold sweat in the middle of the night, Due to this, Amy hasn't had much sleep and has been more upset then usual and is more tired then usual. Sonic, who is concerned for his friend, tries to help her

Ah yes, I do know of this. It’s a headcanon of mine that Sonic helped Classic Amy out with nightmares, giving her confidence and strength that later helped her be the girl she is today—Fearless.

Debating on the two scenarios… I decided that in Boom, she’s too self-independent and snarky with Sonic, if he were to comfort her, she’d have to be pretty worn out and in the right mood, for the both of them, to get real and deep.

Seeing as that can be a challenge, I totally accepted it xD Even though Modern would be a bit more appropriate and interesting, since Boom!Amy was never kidnapped by Metal Sonic.

But maybe I can play with AU a bit… Boom is easier to manipulate in that regard cause there’s no exact structure on what ‘can/can’t’ happen, to say the least. They’re even looser with hinting than Modern, so I’ll do my best…

Prompt:

“I’ve got it!” Amy hurriedly races towards Tails and Sticks’s table, changing out their dishes with a new bowl of fruit and refilling their drinks.

“Wow, thanks Amy!” Tails slurps a bit of his drink as he lounges back. “Any particular reason why you’re working so hard lately?”

“Nope! No reason!” Amy looks a little frazzled in her hair, before preparing the beachball by blowing it up and pumping it, looking like she had black under her eyes.

“No reason to not reason a get-together and treat friends… treat… treat friends…zzzzz…” she starts to doze off, before whipping her head up, slightly having leaned down on the pump, and gripping it tightly now.

“Ho! brblbrblbrbl!” she shakes her head to snap her out of her sleepiness, and starts to pump again.

Sticks suddenly stresses and yawns, before smacking her lips and getting up. “Well, this has been great Amy. But I gotta stash of booby-traps in chronological order.”

“What order is that?” Tails leaned up, confused on her phrasing, Amy behind him is freaking out, biting her nails as she hears they’re leaving.

“I predict the exact direction of each footfall that someone could make to set up whatever trap I place there. Maximum security means maximum consequences for breaking it.” Sticks nonchalantly explains, gesturing a hand out towards him to address his question.

“Sounds fun! I’ll help you out! sounds like you might need statistics on that footfall probability. I think it takes a certain amount of time for flight or fight response, so each footfall should be measured the same unit of distance and time with the speed-”

As they started to walk off, talking, Amy quickly raced in front of them, holding her hands out. “No!” she seemed a little crazy, before gripping her head and pushing her wild quills down. “Haha…ha.. aren’t we having fun!? Let’s stay and play some more board games or-or-or-!”

“Look. Amy. I love ya and all. But I need my space.” Sticks lowered her eyelids and just spoke as if letting Amy down gently.

“B-b-b-but-!”

“She’s right, Amy. You’ve been treating us all day. It’s like you wanted us to stay the night or something…” Tails waves her off and walks with Sticks, before stopping him with her arm and looking down.

“Wait! Step to the side. This is where my booby-traps of 30 and plus scenarios occur.”

They both side-step, with Tails’s arms up. “Y..You put them way out here?”

“Eh, I have spare funds for these things. It’s called a deep hole in the ground with lots and lots of savings.”

Amy looked worried, turning away and gripping her arms, before squinting her eyes shut and rushing into her home, slamming the door.

After being worried about her behavior, the two discuss Amy and decide Sonic should go visit her, since Knuckles was busy plugging in sandwich to the wall to ‘toast’ it.

When Sonic arrives, he opens the door to see Amy piled with sugar-candy, loaded on movies, and desperately huddled up trying to stay awake, even having the air-conditioning ridiculously cold again to keep her from falling asleep.

“Woah! Did you see your shadow or what!” Sonic teased, calling her a groundhog before walking in, and noticing her eye twitching.

“Woah… hold on, Amy.. you’re not pulling an all-nighter or something, are you? Cause this looks EXACTLY like that four season, romance-drama episode special you suffered through a month ago.” he acted like that was a mental episode she had as he gestured back with his thumb to show the timespan.

“…I.. I can’t sleep.” she was too tried, cold and shivering, and terribly lonely and scared to even fight him on this. “I… I’m afraid.” she covered her face, ashamed to admit it.

Sonic blinked his eyes, surprised by her sudden confession. “Oh.. um… okay. So we’re getting real now… heh.” he nervously scratched his head, looking away, and not sure how to address this.

“Look, I’m not the best at pick-up talks… or any… pick-up… stuff… but anyway!” he shook his head, hinting at his own flaw before moving on. “I mean, you don’t need to be scared of sleep! It’s a wonderful thing!”

“It’s not sleep!” she angrily lifted her head up again, out of the blanket. “It’s… what’s in the dream… when you fall asleep.” she looked down.

“…Tails and Sticks have been really worried about you… I think your lack of sleep is getting a little out of-” he scans the home, seeing it trashed, and for once, not his fault. “…hand.” he frowned, and walked over to her.

“What’s so terrifying? The dark?”

“…Eyes.”

“…Well, that is weird.” Sonic got goosebumps from that response.

“You talkin’ ghost or..?”

“No… Red… Glowing… Eyes…” Amy covered her head again.

“…Red and glowing..?” Sonic thought about it a moment.

“He’s not so scary now… but back then… I think I just over-exaggerate it in my memory but…”

Sonic suddenly connected dots, as his mind raced to when Amy was younger, and he first met her by saving her from-

“Ohh… I get it now.” He looked down from staring at the ceiling, bending to Amy’s level, and looking more real with her too.

“Metal me.” he narrowed his eyes.

Her little nose stuck out from the blanket, and she nodded.

He sighed, before rubbing his head and looking to her kindly.

He smiled and shrug, putting up an act. “Oh well, guess it can’t be helped!”

“Ah! W-what are you-!?!?!”

He darted and kicked into her blanket, forcing her to move as he snuggled tighter against the fabric, before his eyes blinked innocently out once he was comfortable.

“Looks like I’ll just have to kick that nightmare’s butt! All over again!” he smiled to her, and they shared a moment before he winked.

She smiled… before realizing something.

He was thrown out of her house.

“I’M A WOMAN. YOUR A MAN!” she shut the door.

He slowly put one hand out with the other to push off the ground from the face-plant, shaking his head.

“Now you remind me.” he rubbed his head, being silly with that comment, before getting up and looking back at her door.

“…Amy!” he cupped his hands around his mouth, having the sound travel.

She waited at the door, leaning against it, but he couldn’t see her.

“You have my full permission to dream about me! As long as I’m epically pwning that blue saucers butt!” He smiled, and turned to leave.

“Goodnight… Ames. I’ll dream of kicking his butt too! And saving you! All over again!”

She slowly let herself slip down the door frame, putting a hand to her heart, and smiling to herself….
